- Abstract
For several years, there has been increasing awareness of a novel tick-borne infection within our region: neoehrlichiosis. The causative agent, Neoehrlichia mikurensis , is an intracellular bacterium classified within the Anaplasmataceae family. Predominantly afflicting immunosuppressed individuals, its clinical presentation often involves persistent fever accompanied by vascular complications. Diagnostic protocols typically entail targeted PCR testing of blood specimens, often leading to diagnostic delays. Timely initiation of doxycycline therapy typically ensures prompt resolution of symptoms., Competing Interests: Les auteurs n’ont déclaré aucun conflit d’intérêts en relation avec cet article.
