Objective: The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of supervised physical exercises on pain, musculoskeletal disorders and functional capacity of individuals with post-COVID-19 syndrome. Method: Clinical trial that randomized 39 individuals into two groups: G1 (n = 20), which performed supervised physical exercises, twice a week, for eight weeks, and G2 (n = 19), which received home guidance. The individuals were evaluated in the pre and post physiotherapeutic intervention phases regarding sociodemographic aspects and health conditions through physiotherapeutic anamnesis, as well as pain (through the visual analogue scale), spinal flexibility (through tests of Stibor, Schöber and lateral flexibility), muscle strength (through manual dynamometry) and functional capacity (through the 30-second sit-to-stand test). Results: After the intervention, G1 showed a reduction in pain and improvement in functional capacity (p<0.05). When comparing groups, after the intervention, G1 showed higher lumbar spine flexibility values compared to G2 (p<0.05). Conclusion: The supervised physical exercise protocol was effective in relieving pain and improving the functional capacity of individuals with post-COVID-19 syndrome. Furthermore, the intervention proved to be superior to control in improving the flexibility of the lumbar spine. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
