Çalışmada,terk edilmiş bir Pb-Zn madeni ve işletilmekte olan bor madeni atıklarındakiarsenik (As), bor (B), kadmiyum (Cd), bakır (Cu), mangan (Mn), kurşun (Pb),talyum (Tl) ve çinko (Zn) elementlerinin toplam konsantrasyonları, kimyasalbağlanma formlarındaki dağılımları ile bu elementlerin bağlayıcı materyal veasidik bakteri olan Thiobacillus thiooxidans varlığında mobilizasyonlarıincelenmiştir. Ayrıca atık ve bağlayıcı materyallerdeki sülfür ve karbonatmiktarları da belirlenerek, statik testlere göre atıkların asit nötralize etmepotansiyeli hesaplanmıştır. Mobilizasyonçalışmaları için iki farklı bölgeden temin edilen atık ile bağlayıcı materyalolarak seçilen leonardit ve evsel katı atık kompostu farklı oranlardakarıştırılmak suretiyle (10/0, 9.5/0.5, 9/1, 8/2) deneyler yürütülmüştür.Ayrıca, sülfür oksitleyen bir bakteri olan Thiobacillus thiooxidans’ın ortamailave edilmesiyle mobilizasyona olan etkisi çalışılmıştır. Standart bir liçtesti olan EPA 1310B Ekstraksiyon Prosedürü kullanılarak mobilize olan ağırmetaller tespit edilmiş, bulgular SPSS 24 programı ile istatistiksel olarakdeğerlendirilerek çalışılan parametreler arasındaki korelasyonlar ortayaçıkarılmıştır. Leonardit ve kompostun maden atıklarına karıştırılmasıyla, ağırmetal mobilitesinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir azalma görülmemiştir.Ancak farklı bağlayıcı materyaller, ağır metal türüne göre farklı etkilergöstermiştir. Sonuç olarak, ortamdaThiobacillus thiooxidans olması durumunda ağır metal mobilitesinin arttığı vebunun öncelikli olarak değişken ve asitle çözülebilir fraksiyonda ve sonrasındaindirgenebilir fraksiyon ile organik fraksiyonlarına bağlı metal miktarı ile doğruorantılı olduğu anlaşılmıştır., Thetotal concentrations of arsenic (As), boron (B), cadmium (Cd), copper (Cu),manganese (Mn), lead (Pb), thallium (Tl) and zinc (Zn) in the mine tailings ofan abandoned Pb-Zn mining site and an open boron mining site are investigatedin this study. In addition, heavy metals’ distributions in chemical bindingforms and their mobilities with the presence of binding materials and acidicbacteria are examined. The amounts of sulfur and carbonate in the waste andbinding materials are also determined according to the static method, in orderto define the acid neutralization potential of the wastes. For mobilizationstudies, mine tailings are mixed with with leonardite and domestic solid wastecompost in different ratios (10/0, 9.5 / 0.5, 9/1; 8/2). Independent from thebinding materials, the mobilization effect of sulfur oxidizing Thiobacillusthiooxidans bacteria has been tested and evaluated. Experiments are conductedusing a standard leach test EPA 1310B Extraction Procedure, and correlationsbetween the parameters studied were statistically evaluated using the findingsof SPSS 24. Although there is no statistically significant reduction in metals’mobilization with the use of leonardite and waste compost, it has been concludedthat different binding agents may have different impacts due to the metal type.As a result, it is understood that metals mobility increases in the presence ofThiobacillus thiooxidans in the environment, and that the heavy metal mobilityis directly proportional to the exchangeable and acid soluble fraction,followed by the reducible fraction and the amount of metals bound to theorganic fractions.

The increase in the worldpopulation and the improvement in living standards have led to a significantincrease in textile consumption and thus textile production in recent years.Hence the amount of textile wastes generated has been increased. Some of thesetextile wastes are sold to scrap dealers for recycling, and some of them arethrown away or burned. 4.37% of the amount of industrial solid waste producedin Turkey are the wastes of the textile and cloth manufacturing. Recycling oftextile materials can be applied only if the product consists of a singlematerial. However, most of the products in the market are produced by mixingthe fibers in order to provide different properties to the product. Hencetextile wastes can be used to produce “Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF)”, which isdeveloped for the purpose of using solid waste in the energy production plantsand cement factories as fuel and/or co-fuel. Within the study, samples from atextile factory have been taken and the process of separation has beenperformed. The water content, calorific value, total chlorine analysis andheavy metal analysis of the 31 different samples of textile wastes have beenanalyzed, and the results have been evaluated according to The Statement onRDF, Additional Fuel and Alternative Raw Materials and the standards ofEuropean Union. Textile waste is one of the types of waste that can be used inthe production of RDF provided that it meets the necessary conditions.

Sunulan çalışmada ağır metallerce kirleniş deniz sedimentinden Cr, Cu, Pb ve Zn metallerinin biyoliç yöntemiyle uzaklaştırılmasında kullanılan sülfür miktarının etkisi araştırılmıştır. Biyoliç prosesinde mikrobiyel aktivite için Acidithiobacillius thiooxidans kullanılmıştır. Yapılan deneylerde bir litrelik erlenler içinde %0.5 (w/v) oranında katı madde (sediment) konsantrasyonuyla çalışılmış ve farklı testlerde %0.25, %0.5, %1, ve %1.5 (w/v) oranında eklenen sülfür miktarıyla deneyler yürütülerek optimum sülfür dozu belirlenmiştir. Biyoliç işleminin sonunda, metallerin toplam çözünmesinin yanı sıra, sedimentte bağlı bulundukları kimyasal dağılım formlarındaki değişim de tespit edilmiştir. pH değerinin neredeyse sabitlendiği 48 günlük biyoliç periyodunun sonunda, tüm metallerde en yüksek çözünürlüğün 0.5% (w/v) oranında sülfür eklenen erlenlerde gerçekleştiği görülmüştür. Daha yüksek oranda eklenen sülfürün biyoliç yönteminde inhibe edici etkisi olduğu, daha az sülfürün ise mikrobiyel aktivite için yeterli olmadığı sonucuna varılmıştır. Ağır metallerin kirli sedimentten giderilme oranı sırasıyla Zn>Cu>Cr>Pb şeklinde tespit edilmiştir
