We studied the effect of tilorone on the dynamics of IFNα, IFNγ, and IL-1β levels in the lung tissue and blood serum in relation to viral load in the lungs of BALB/c mice with pneumonia caused by influenza virus A/Aichi/2/68 (H3N2). Tilorone was administered per os in doses of 40, 150, and 540 μg per mouse 6, 30, and 78 h postinfection, which simulated the drug regimen used in the clinic for the treatment of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections in Russia and post-Soviet countries. Tilorone reduced viral load with the maximum amplitude (2-3 lg) after 1-2 administrations. The results of studying the dynamics of the cytokine levels in the infected animals in general support the previous hypothesis that, in repeated dosing, tilorone enhances the IFN response (compensates for its deficiency) at the early stages of acute respiratory viral infections and suppresses (damps) excessive production of IFN and proinflammatory cytokines at the later stages.

Transition to the Early Iron Age was marked by the appearance of innovations such as iron technology and changes in the lifestyle of local societies on the territory of the North-Western Pontic Sea region. One of the most interesting sites of this period is the Glinjeni II-La Șanț fortified settlement, located in the Middle Dniester basin (Republic of Moldova). Materials of different cultural traditions belonged to the Cozia-Saharna culture (10th–9th cc. BC) and the Basarabi-Șoldănești culture (8th–beginning of 7th cc. BC) were found on this site. The article presents the results of a multidisciplinary approach to the study of ceramic sherds from these archaeological complexes and cultural layers as well as raw clay sources from this area. The archaeometry analysis, such as the XRF-WD, the thin section analysis, SEM-EDX of ceramics, m-CT of pottery were carried out. The study of ancient pottery through a set of mineralogical and geochemical analytic methods allowed us to obtain new results about ceramic technology in different chronological periods, ceramic paste recipes and firing conditions. Correlation of archaeological and archaeometry data of ceramics from the Glinjeni II-La Șanț site gives us the possibility to differ earlier and later chronological markers in the paste recipes of pottery of 10th–beginning of 7th cc. BC in the region of the Middle Dniester basin.

The Ushkatyn-III deposit is located in Central Kazakhstan, 300 km west of Karaganda. It is ascribed to the weakly metamorphosed Atasu-type hydrothermal–sedimentary ore deposits. The Upper Devonian (D3fm2) carbonate sequence of this deposit comprises stratiform barite–lead, iron, and manganese orebodies. The study was focused on the iron– and manganese–bearing deposits. New data were obtained on the content of major (Si, Ti, Al, Fe, Mn, Mg, Ca, Na, K, P), trace (Li, Be, Sc, V, Cr, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ga, Ge, As, Rb, Sr, Y, Zr, Nb, Mo, Cd, Sn, Sb, Cs, Ba, Hf, W, Tl, Pb, Th, and U), and rare-earth elements (REE) in all rocks of the ore-bearing unit. It is shown that all rocks, including host limestones, are enriched in Mn, As, Zn, Ba, and Pb, while normalization to aluminum revealed excessive Li, Be, Sr, Y, Mo, Cd, Sb, W, and Tl contents relative to the terrigenous part of sediment. REE variations point to a change of redox settings for accumulation of initial metalliferous sediments. Geological and geochemical data show that the genesis of the barite–lead, iron and manganese ores is related to the evolution of a single hydrothermal system. The ores were formed near or on the seafloor surface: the barite–lead ores are confined to venting sites on reefal buildups, while iron and manganese ores are formed from matter dispersed in the water column at some distance from hydrothermal vents.

The article presents the results of a study of the enzymatic hydrolysis of barley malt sprouts by cellulolytic enzymes. The influence of the process parameters (temperature, substrate concentration, concentration of the enzyme preparation, duration of the process) on the output of dry substances in the hydrolysate is shown. The results of the experiments were presented by a mathematical model of the process and graphically-in the form of surface projections reflecting the mutual influence of each possible pair of factors on the dry matter content in the hydrolysate. It is found that all the studied factors have an effect on the accumulation of dry substances in the hydrolysate. As a result of optimization the parameters of the enzymatic hydrolysis process, the following parameter values were obtained: temperature - 50 ˚С, duration of enzymatic hydrolysis-89 min, substrate concentration - 0.37 (hydromodule 1:10), concentration of the enzyme preparation - 0.05 %.

Malt sprouts are an affordable raw material for the isolation of target components, because they have a favorable chemical composition and low cost. Due to the fact that the high content of dietary fiber (up to 18,5%) prevents the absorption of a number of macro- and micronutrients, a series of experiments was conducted, including enzymatic hydrolysis of malt sprouts at different values of the following factors: temperature, duration of enzymatic hydrolysis, malt sprouts concentration (substrate concentration) and the concentration of the enzyme preparation. Celluclast BG (JSC “Novozymes”) with a cellulolytic activity of 3500 u/g was used as an enzyme preparation. Dry matter content in the hydrolysate was taken as an optimization parameter. The results of the experiments were processed by the program Statistica 12.0. The influence of temperature is nonlinear, which implies the existence of some optimal range of action of this factor. The effect of the duration of enzymatic hydrolysis and the concentration of the substrate is significant only with paired interaction of these factors, while simultaneous increase of their values has a negative effect on the dry matter accumulation. The effect of the concentration of the enzyme preparation on the dry matter yield is a linear positive dependence. It was established that the dry matter content in the hydrolysate reaches the maximum values and it is not less than 5.5 % at a temperature of 50.2 C, with the duration of the process of 150 min, the concentration of the substrate of 0.09 and the concentration of the enzyme preparation of 0.04%.

Object: A study of methodological approaches to risk management of intellectual capital under the in-fluence of contemporary processes of globalization and integration in the labor markets, and intellectual capital. Methods: The paper analyzes the influence of the intensified regionalization processes on the labor market of individual states on the company's intellectual capital. The authors concluded that the process of structuring risks of intellectual capital allows us to identify risks that lead to critical damage, which, in the current globalization, integration and partial regionalization processes, is relevant for all enterprises. Findings: The paper proposes a multi-level procedure for structuring risks of intellectual capital based on analysis of the external and internal environment, chosen strategies and strategic orientations of the company. Conclusions: Having developed the procedure for managing intellectual capital in general and the impact on its risks, in particular, the company can control the level of production and service intellectualization.

The urgency of improving methods of engineering and environmental survey of shore protection objects is determined by their existing disruptions, which violate environmental safety as a whole and create a danger for organization of tourism on the coast. The purpose of the study is to specify method of processing information on ecologically significant regularities of processes on the coast, which should be taken into account in the design of biopositive shore protection structures, based on in situ examination of coastal zones and the state of shore protection structures in the Crimea. During the monitoring, methods of field photo-fixation (in dynamics for 2015-2018), mathematical modeling (in determining the area of coast and beach loss), statistical generalizations (when identifying trends in the state of the coast ecology) are used. As a result, the nature and extent of deformations of the coastal zone of the sea and shore protection structures on the coast of the Kalamita Bay of the Black Sea in the area of the village of Peschanoe are identified. The loss of the coastal zone as a result of violations of reinforced concrete shore protection structures by 70-90%, as well as changes in beach areas (erosion, shortening of width, change in the quality of beach material) are revealed. The modeling of the process in the cliff in the zone of influence of the shore protection structures is performed. Studies have made it possible to assess the degree of influence of the technospheric elements (slope-step wave exclusion design) on the ecological state of the coastal zone and to determine the parameters of the organization of engineering and environmental monitoring in the development and operation of shore protection structures, using software.

In the national economy, entrepreneurship plays the role of a buffer between economy and policy for it contributes to improving budget effectiveness and decreasing dependence of economy on the state. Entrepreneurship in industry makes it possible to increase the added value that is formed in production chains and to decrease dependence on import. Under the current circumstances, when sanctions are being imposed, this is especially relevant for Russia and for the realization of projects in the Russian Arctic. However, development of entrepreneurship in industry requires an enlightened state policy. The purpose of the research is elaboration of recommendations for improving economic effectiveness of the realization of the Arctic projects on the basis of conceptual proposals for the development of entrepreneurship in industry. The paper presents the studies of the extractive industry role in the Russian economy and proves its raw material character. The analysis of production chains in industry on the basis of the conception of the added value global chains demonstrated a low added value formed by Russian companies. The study of changes in the structure of economy based on systemic, statistical and comparative analyses revealed no positive changes in the structure of economy over the period under consideration. This is a manifestation of ineffectiveness of the Russian industrial policy in general and within the Arctic region in particular. The authors identified the problems information and implementation of the state industrial policy in the Arctic region and in the development of national entrepreneurship, analyzed the shortcomings of the current state policy in the sphere of the Russian industry. On the basis of the conducted studies, the authors formulated conceptual approaches to change the state policy in the Arctic. The basic idea of the authors is to substantiate the focus of the state regulation on the development of entrepreneurship in industry in the process of the Russian Arctic exploration. At the same time another problem is solved–that of the development of the manufacturing industry in the southern regions of the northwestern part of Russia. A method based on analysis of angular diagrams of light backscattering is proposed for the determination of the direction of yarn twist. The efficiency of this method is proved by the example of the study of yarns with various fibre compositions and with various twist counts.

The oxidation kinetics of thin films of dilute Fe-Ni solid solutions (0.17, 0.54, 0.65, 0.91, and 1.87 at % Ni) on single-crystal Si substrates are studied. The oxidation rate of the films is found to decrease with increasing Ni concentration. The predominant phase in all of the oxide layers is Fe 2 O 3 , independent of the oxidation conditions. It is shown that, at an Ni content of about 1 at %, the composition dependences of the oxide thickness, refractive index, extinction coefficient, and apparent activation energy for oxidation show extrema. The mechanism of film oxidation is discussed.

Technology for antimicrobial finishing of cotton fabric and a method for synthesizing a new antimicrobial organosilicon preparation of oligo(organo)ethoxysiloxane with pharmacophoric ligands containing a levomycetin residue were developed as a result of the studies. The synthesized preparation gives cotton fabric elevated antimicrobial properties that are resistant to laundering.

A binemic model of eukaryotyc chromosome was tested using PCR-amplification of some unique genes in individual sperm cells or in human DNA diluted to 1/2 of the DNA amount of a haploid cell. According to the model, all the hereditary information, including all the unique genes, is represented twice in the haploid genome. Backing up of information enhances reliability of the genome by several orders of magnitude. Hemoglobin G gene (HBG2) and parathyroid hormone gene (PTH) were studied. In the first experimental plot the DNA from one isolated spermatozoon was divided into 4 parts and G globin gene was attempted to be amplified in all 4 tubes. According to the binemic model the simultaneous positive reaction in a pair of tubes should occur in up to 75% of cases and the reaction in only one tube from the four should occur in the case of uninemy. In the second approach, human DNA was serially deluted to the 1/2 of the haploid genome per tube. After amplification, the number of tubes with positive signal were counted. According to the unineme model, 3.7 positive reactions from 10 were expected. According to the bineme model 6.3 positive reactions from 10 should be observed (as follows from Poisson distribution). The results obtained with both methods are in accordance with binemic model and are inconsistent with uninemy.

This paper proposes a noninstrumental method of monitoring the angular distribution of the fibers in fiber-containing materials (FCMs) such as paper, semifinished textile products, and similar materials, based on a computer calculation of the Fraunhofer diffraction pattern using computer microimaging of the surface of the FCM, corrected for illumination by a laser light beam. An algorithm is proposed for the computer processing of the diffraction pattern thus constructed, with output to an angular light-scattering diagram, from which the angular distribution of the fibers in the material can be judged. Our experiments on semifinished textile products and paper showed that the proposed method is workable and that it has an advantage over an analog method of monitoring, using the angular diagram of the backscattering of light.

An optical method is proposed for monitoring the angular distribution of fibers in fiber-containing materials (FCMs) such as paper, nonwoven materials, collagen casing, semifinished textile products, etc. The method is based on the illumination of the FCM of interest by plane-polarized light with a light beam whose plane of polarization is rotating with frequency ω with respect to the axis. The angular backscattering pattern is subsequently analyzed by means of a linear photodetector that is mounted at a constant angle relative to the optical axis and records the amplitude of the ac signal at frequency 2ω. Using samples of various FCMs, it is shown that the method is promising for on-line monitoring of the anisotropy of the angular distribution of fibers in FCMs, regardless of the nature of the fiber material.
