本稿は南川文里著『未完の多文化主義』の手短な論評である。評者のような多文化主義研究者にとって、あるいはより広くアメリカ合州国の政治や文化、人種・エスニシティにまつわる諸問題に関心のある読者にとって、本書の意義は疑いようがない。この意義を十分に確認したうえで評者は、あえて本書の完成された記述にノイズを起こし、不完全な対話へと開きたい。本書の限界は、「多文化主義とは何だったのか」という広く重要な問いを掲げる一方で、大いに狭められた多文化主義概念に依拠するために、この問いの広さに応答できていないことである。本稿はこの不一致を指摘し、「反多文化主義」に規定されない、批判の豊かな可能性をもう一度開くことを呼びかける。, The article is a brief review of Fumisato Minamikawa's Unfinished Multiculturalism. The book is undoubtedly important for multicultural scholars such as the reviewer and, more broadly, also for readers interested in politics and culture or ethnic and racial issues in the USA. Fairly acknowledging this importance, I intendedly arouse a noise to the finished writing of the book and open it for incomplete dialogue. Essential limitation of the book is that; while it asks a broad and critical question, that is, "what was multiculturalism after all?", it cannot answer to it because of a so parochial understanding of the concept of multiculturalism. The role of this review is to point this mismatch and call for fertile possibilities of critique that are not prescribed by "anti-multiculturalism"., 書評(Book Review)

本稿の目的は，境界教育学の理論を援用し，日本の社会科における多文化教育の到達点と課題を明らかにすることである。先行研究を検討することにより，日本の社会科における多文化教育研究の課題のうち，自文化中心主義に無自覚であるという問題に着目し，この問題が学会で注目された2010年代以降における取り扱い方とその課題を明らかにし，境界教育学の理論によって差異とその権力関係を可視化しうることを明らかにする。そして，それが授業の担い手である教師の実践を促すものであることを主張する。, The purpose of this paper is to clarify the goals and challenges of multicultural education in Japanese social studies by border pedagogy. From previous research, it is focused on the problem of being unaware of self-cultural centricity among the issues of multicultural education research in Japanese social studies education, and clarified that differences and their power relationships can be visualized by border pedagogy. 本稿の目的は，インクルーシブ教育における「すべての子どもたち」という言葉に着目しながら，インクルーシブ授業の実践化に向けて必要な視点を明らかにすることである。世界的な動向としてインクルーシブ教育への転換が推奨される中，その定義や解釈は各国においてさまざまであり，本来の理念が異なった形で解釈される事例も少なくない。本稿では，サラマンカ声明やユネスコの定義を再検討することを通して，「すべての子どもたち」が包摂されるインクルーシブな学級とは，「一人ひとりが多元的な価値をもち，その価値が学習に豊かさをもたらす場」であるととらえ，こうした認識がインクルーシブ授業の実践を支える可能性をもつことを指摘した。さらに，多様な子どもたちによる共同の学びをどのようにつくり出していけばよいか，「参加」と「差異」という視点からインクルーシブ授業の具体的な実践化に向けて検討した。

〈生〉を中心に置いた社会正義論を、本稿と続稿を通して展開する。本稿では、身体と他者をキーワードに、〈生〉について論じる。 ハイデガーは人間存在の〈生〉の様子を「被投的企投」という。それは、企投性と被投性の二つの契機が常に作動しながら生きる様子を意味する。身体はまさにこの動的な〈生〉をいうものである。身体は、①動的安定性の観点から、②前言語的な企投的身体は、③輪郭が常に定かでないままに、④意味的ネットワークを構成し、⑤ネットワーク内には、“中心”“周縁”の差異が生まれ、その安定性を保持しようとする。⑥企投的身体はその発現をもって被投的身体を得るが、⑦その発現は決して単線的なものではなく、身体と環境条件との動的な対話がそこでは為される。⑧そして、その対話では、しばしば差異を消費して社会的身体を一時的に担うという事態がある。ここにいう差異は他者の現れの一つであり、他者の現れには、①差異として、②否定としての二面性がある。

紀要論文, 本稿は、1990年代の日本におけるLGBT の社会運動においてゲイとレズビアンが共に活動をする中、どのような差異が両者の間で問題となっていたのかを論じる。分析対象として、北海道札幌市で1989 年から2000 年代初期にかけて活動をしていた団体“ 札幌ミーティング” を取り上げる。札幌ミーティングではゲイとレズビアンが共に活動をしていたが、両者の間には差異もあった。ひとつは、新しいコミュニティとしての札幌ミーティングを、コミュニケーションの場として利用することに対する認識の違いであった。もうひとつは、抗議活動と自己の内面に向き合う活動のバランスをめぐる認識の違いであった。これらの差異は両者の対立にもつながり、その背景には、両者の間にあるジェンダーの違いが必ずしもゲイ男性に認識されていたわけではないこと、両者が各自のアイデンティティを重視していたため、このような差異を積極的に共有・議論するに至らなかったという事情があった。, 投稿論文

＜概要＞近年、外国文学に興味を持つ人は多くなっている。しかし、多くの人は原文ではなく、翻訳者によって日本語訳された外国文学を読んでいる。人気のある作品では、原文が何人もの翻訳者によって訳されていることもある。それらを比較すると、原文は同じでも、いくつかの差異があり、一 定のパター ンが認められる。先行研究によって、翻訳者は想定読者層、文体、人物像の3 点に配慮して翻訳を行っていると分かった C 本稿では、原文の翻訳にはそれら3 点が関連 していると仮定し、4冊の『星の王子さま』の日本語翻訳を用いて検証した。想定読者層では学習指導要領を参考に、訳文中の漢字の難解さ、ルビの有無によって、どの学年を想定しているか、大人向けか子供向けかを分析した。次に文体では地の文を比較し、敬体か常体か、また「硬い文体」か「柔らかい文体」かを分類した。人間像では登場人物の呼称を表にし、それぞれの翻訳での人物像の特徴を示した。結果として、文体については 一 部不一 致なところもあったが、3 点全てにおいて、原文の翻訳が関連する差異パタ ー ンがあると言えた。以上から、仮説は成 り立っているといえる。

研究ノート, 物語り論は、人間科学の方法論や文化の基礎理論として研究されてきた。物語りは、人間にとって普遍共通の行為であり、生の営みと深く関わっている。本稿では、まず、物語りのもつ機能を概観したのち、バフチンの対話と照らし合わせながら、人と人との間で行われる物語りについて検討し、物語り行為の中でことばの姿を捉えることを試みる。本稿は、今後、物語り論の要素を取り入れた日本語教育の企画と教室内における相互行為の分析を行うための理論的検討の一部である。

坂上郎女が宴席で作ったとされる歌がある。坂上郎女にとっての歌の時代を考えると大伴家の中心の女性として一族を結びつけるため歌は大切な手段である。本論は宴という場において共通理解をもとにしつつ、歌の場を意味づけるために必要な表現について、類歌と差異ということから論じたものである。

形容詞differentはfromと用いるのが規範的であり，また頻度も高い。しかし，実際には，thanとも用いられ，またイギリス英語の場合にはtoとも用いられることが知られている。つまり，差異の基準は，起点，比較の基準，着点として標示されうるのである。筆者が調査した範囲では，差異の基準の標示については，起点型（英語のdifferent from）と同伴型（日本語の「... と違う」）の言語が多い。比較型（英語のdifferent than）は通言語的に限定されている。着点型（英語のdifferent to）の言語はまれであり，しかも，形容詞において見られるのであり，動詞の場合には起点型になる傾向にある。 英語：different from/to .... に対して differ from ... スペイン語：diferente/distinto de/a ... に対して diferir de ... ウェールズ語：gwahanol i ... に対して gwahaniaethu oddi wrth ... この偏りを説明するために，以下の仮定をした。差異はメタファーにより距離として理解される。この距離を認識するために二つの操作のいずれかが行われる。（1）基準から遠い対象は，基準から離れていくものとして表示される。（2）対象と基準の間の距離が心的に走査される。走査の方向には，（a）基準から対象へという方向と，（b）その逆がある。（1）は，対象が動くものとして表示されているという意味で，より動態的であり，それゆえ動詞として語彙化されやすい。それに対して，（2）は，より静態的であり，形容詞として語彙化されやすい。起点型は，（1）によっても，（2a）によっても動機付けされるが，着点型は，（2b）によってしか動機付けされない。これにより，着点型が特に形容詞において見られ，動詞においては起点型になる傾向があることが説明される。

グローバリゼーションによる社会変動と、それに相乗する西洋音楽の世界的浸透・ヘゲモニーの拡大を前に、音楽文化の多様性・多言語性について、あらためて省察する。「音楽」は、言葉や境界の壁を越えて理解されうる「普遍的な言語」と讃えられ、その越境性による移動と混淆は、文化の「多様性」を拡げていると言う。だが、グローバルな視野で様々な音楽を見渡し、それらの間に横たわる「差異」に耳をすますなら、そこからは異質な音楽世界・音楽言語の「抗争」が聴こえて来る。言語の多様性から人間の世界認識の拡がりを思考した多言語主義の言語学者たちの省察を参照しつつ、西洋音楽と地歌箏曲の比較を例に洞察される音楽言語の「差異」は、「音楽」や「普遍」の概念を、単一言語的世界観からの転換を促し、多言語性に根ざされた接触・交流が育むもう一つの「多様性」のもと、「抗争」を超えた共存の世界の探究・創造の地平を開示するであろう。

山梨で暮らす異文化を背景に持つ外国人の語りから得られた医療サービスの体験にみられる問題を検討し、医療の現状と課題を探る。彼らが、医療サービスの受け手になったときに感じる差異に関する語りは、その特徴から医療先進国型と医療発展途上国型とに分類された。もともと社会の場では差異は差別に転じる可能性を常にもつが、医療施設において存在する医療者と患者の「権力関係」のもとにもこの可能性が潜在する。前者の医療先進国型では、医療者に自分が感じた差異を直接伝え、要望を口にすることができる。この前者の型に問題解決の糸口を見いだした。後者では、その力の支援策を含めたエンパワメントの必要性を認めた。

【目的】国際看護協力を行う際の問題点の一つとして, 派遣された国における看護に関する考え方や看護技術の日本との違いが挙げられる. 開発途上国に対する効果的な看護協力のために, ラオスで活動した青年海外協力隊看護職隊員の面接調査と活動報告書を分析し, 看護の差異を明らかにすることを目的とする. 【方法】看護職隊員14名の活動報告書, 5名の隊員に面接調査を実施し, 作成された逐語録から日本と異なる看護に関する記述を抽出し,「看護技術/助産技術到達目標」(厚生労働省2003) を参考に分類した. 【結果】日本と異なる看護の記述は「感染予防の技術」,「症状・生態機能管理技術」,「与薬の技術」に関する内容が多く, 患者の身の回りの世話は家族が行っていた. 助産技術は分娩期, 妊娠期についての記述が多かった. 【結語】ラオスと日本の看護の違いが明確化された. それらは, 今後の国際看護協力活動において多大に寄与するものと考える.

【背景・目的】看護は各国の様々な背景や状態により異なると考えられる. 中国で活動した青年海外協力隊\n員の面接調査と国際協力機構への報告書を分析し, その差異を明らかにすることで, 国際看護協力における\n示唆を得る. 【対象と方法】看護師隊員4名の報告書計20冊と本人への面接結果を対象とし, 日本の看護\nと異なる点を抽出した. 【結果】「臨地実習において学生が行う基本的な看護技術」の80項目中, 日本と\n異なる看護に関する記述は41項目で, 対象者全員が差異があると述べた看護は, 「創傷管理技術」, 「与薬の技\n術」, 「身の回りの援助は家族が行う」, 「看護記録」であった. 4名中3名が差異があると述べた看護は, 「膀胱内留置カテーテル法」,「点滴静脈内注射・中心静脈栄養管理」,「手洗い」などであった. 【結論】日本と中\n国の違いが示唆されたので, 中国での看護技術の教育や臨床での状況について把握していく.

With the recent development of disability studies, a great deal of effort has been made on the analysis of the very concept of "disability" and its constructive nature has been revealed. According to some critics, however, the discriminative and exclusive character of the society remains the same. Our concern is to reconsider social integration and exclusion of disabled people on the basis of the quadrantal schema developed by Jun Ishikawa, which centers on the individual attitudes against the society and the social reactions to the individual choices. But it will be revealed that the schema itself presupposes a kind of merit-based system, and the possibility to integrate the severely disabled people is essentially limited. The point is to recogmize theoretical implications of the"dissimilative integration" (=mode of coexistence without giving up one's own particularity and heterogeneity)" and to find the way to it in this assimilative and exclusive society. In order to reach the core of the problem, I will investigate and analyze the deep meaning of disablement and disability. But, at the same time, it should be noted that subtle disturbances and changes caused disabled people could be also a key to the realization of the dissimilative integration.

This paper aims to examine a relationship between inhabitants in Urakawa town in Hokkaido and the members of the House of Bethel, an organization for people with mental disabilities. It focuses on the way the inhabitants cut across a categorical boundary between ‘the sick’ and ‘none sick’ by referring to their business partnership with the members of Bethel, which is suggested by their common phrase, “As for business, no problem with them (Bethel)”.Psychiatric care in Japan has a bad reputation for a large number of hospital beds and overwhelmingly long duration of hospitalization in comparison with psychiatric cares in North America and Western Europe. To overcome this situation, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare and other welfare organizations have launched slogans such as ‘Education for Co-existence’ and ‘Society of Co-existence’ and recommend the enlightenment of people in local communities and participation of volunteer workers for the care of people with mental disabilities. The trend is fueled by critical ethno-methodological studies on this subject. Disclosing the structure of subtle discriminations, the studies point the importance of reflexive attitude on the part of those who discriminate. This is attributable to voluntarism of the above approaches which takes the intention and reflexivity of human action for granted. However, few detailed examinations have ever been made about interaction between people with mental disabilities and people in local communities in the context of their everyday life.In this ethnographic case study, I propose a point of view different from that of voluntarism. The works of Masao Yamaguchi, Clifford Geertz and Denise Jodelet are particularly relevant here. Yamaguchi has explored the significance of “cultural apparatus” by which interlocutors communicate each other while assuming their differences including mental disabilities. One of such apparatuses could be market transaction. Hence corollary to “cultural apparatus” is Geertz’s notion of “bargaining” and “clientelization” which he developed in his study of bazaar in Moroccan society. Jodelet’s work on foster relationship of local people with people with mental disabilities in Ainay-le-Château in France provides me with the idea of “good distance”. I employ these ideas to understand the manner in which people in Urakawa interact with the members of Bethel.In Urakawa, difference between non sick, the inhabitants, and the sick, the members of Bethel, can easily be translated into difference between normal and abnormal. However, the phrase, “As for business, no problem with them”, indicates that people in Urakawa have established business partnership with Bethel, that is, relationship between sellers and buyers, which contributes to the development of the town, and that differences between them and Bethel never come to the fore in this relationship.In their everyday interaction, people in Urakawa have a disposition to re-identify the members of Bethel without ignoring their differences; inscrutable others now become approachable others. They establish and stick to the code of conduct with Bethel, as they say, “For Bethel to communicate with us, they must come to us from them”. They learn to use an idiom, “Bethel way”, in order to avoid conflicts that might easily result from the heightened awareness of their differences. In short, the members of Bethel as others are rendered to a part of their world and life, and as it were, others inside themselves.The case suggests that one of the tactics to live with people with mental disabilities is to keep adjusting “good distance” from “others” according to the situations and contexts in which differences present them.

【背景・目的】看護や看護技術は各国の背景や状態により異なると考えられる. 効果的な国際看護協力のた\nめの示唆を得る目的で日本と中南米の看護技術書を比較し, 記述された看護技術の差異を明らかにし, 背景\nを分析した. 【対象と方法】日本と中南米の看護技術書17冊を対象に記述された看護技術項目を比較し,\n さらに日本と中南米の間で記述が異なる技術を抽出し比較検討した. 【結果】抽出された技術は清拭, 血\n圧測定, 筋肉内注射等であり, 中南米の文献では清拭に使う湯温が日本より低目であり, 血圧測定時の加圧時\nの送気, 筋肉内注射時の皮膚の押さえ方等に日本の文献との違いが認められた. 中南米の文献の中にはかつ\nて日本でも行われていたが, 実証的研究によって記述が改められた技術があった. 【結語】差異が認めら\nれた技術には, 現地の社会情勢や文化・習慣等に影響されている技術と背景が不明な技術があり, 国際看護協\n力の際には考慮すべき点と考えられた.

明朝体と楷書体には違いがある。国語の旧字体と新字体とは1対1に対応するわけではない以前使われていた字体の中には通用字と言うべきものもある。受、反などは、以前国語では使っておらず、旧字体のような形に、新しく作られたものである。漢字辞典の見出し字としてあっても、普通の文書では使われなかった字もある。漢語“新字形”（簡体字）と国語常用漢字との差異において、印刷上の差異があっても手書きでは問題にならないものがある。また簡体字には国語の旧字体と同じものがある。差異の中には国語において間違いとは言えないが注意すべきものもあり、またわずかの差異でも国語では間違いとなるものもある。, Article, 信州大学留学生センター紀要 7: 25-33(2006)

The author presents a new way of interpreting the situation that a person with impairments faces in society and an alternative conception of “shogai”, thedifficulties that a person with impairments experiences. Shogai is a comprehensive concept that includes the meanings of impairment, disability and handicap that theWorld Health Organization defines. Shogai in the author's terms is regarded as one aspect or effect of some sort of individual differences. The author expects that hisinterpretation of the situation where shogai is identified will help us to have a new perspective to understand and change the situation so that the people withimpairments can live more comfortably or with less difficulty.

本研究では, 大学生を対象に, 正・負の理想自己と現実自己の間の差異と, 自尊感情との関係を調べた。その結果, 正の理想自己と現実自己の間の差異と自尊感情に負の相関が, また, 負の理想自己と現実自己の間の差異と自尊感情に正の相関が見られた。これは, なりたい自分に近づけば近づくほど, あるいは, なりたくない自分から遠ざかれば遠ざかるほど自尊感情は高まることを示すと考えられる。一方で遠藤(1982)らのこれまでの研究結果とは異なり, 負の理想自己は, 自尊感情と特に密接な関係をもたなかった。, The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the discrepancies within the real-self and ideal-self, and the self-esteem of university students, including the aspects of positive and negative ideal-self. The results were as follows: the discrepant scores between positive ideal-self and real-self correlated negatively with self-esteem, and the discrepant scores between negative ideal-self is and real-self correlated positively with self-esteem. This suggests that the closer one is to the positive ideal-self, and the farther one is to the negative ideal-self, the more one's self-esteem would be. On the other hand, negative ideal-self had no special effect on self-esteem difffering from previous research(Endo, 1982).

本研究では、現代社会学が説明困難な問題を抱える中、どのようにしてアイデンティティーの概念が生まれたかを考察する。アイデンティティーはこれらの問題を解決するのではなく、表出する。問題の表出は段階的であり、まずアイデンティティーは問題のある概念を補い、次にアイデンティティー間の差異がアイデンティティー内の差異に取り替えられ、さらにアイデンティティーはそれ自体から差異を生み出す手段でしかないとされ、最終的には、自らの再生条件さえ作り出せないような不毛かつ全く私的な自己同一性へと成り下がるのである。本論文では、ジャズ・即興ミュージシャンという特定集団のアイデンティティーに焦点を絞る。ミュージシャンとのインタビュー結果を報告し、この中ではジャズ・即興音楽を生業として選択した理由やそれに対する思い入れ、（特に金銭的に）成功するかがほとんどわからない中でキャリアを積み上げる苦闘、演奏およびレコーディングの機会を広げるための人脈形成、そしてレコード業界との関係について言及する。ここから得られた結論は、上記のアイデンティティー理論に異議を唱えるものであり、社会現実を説明できる理論・概念の必要性を指摘する。, This paper examines the way that the concept of identity has emerged out of explanatory difficulties in modern sociology. Rather than resolve these difficulties, identity expresses them. They are expressed as a process whereby, first, identities are supplemented to problematic concepts, second, inter-identity differences are supplanted by intra-identity ones, third, identity is proposed solely as a means to generate differences from itself, and, lastly, identity becomes an arid, privatised self-identity not even capable of generating the conditions of its own reproduction. This paper focuses on a specific group identity, that of improvising jazz musicians. It reports on interviews with musicians concerning their selection of, and commitment to, jazz improvising music as a career, their struggle to establish that career despite little certainty of success, especially financial success, the construction of social networks to expand performance and recording opportunities, and the relationships with the recording industry, The conclusions reached challenge those of the above identity theories, pointing to a need for theory and concepts to account for social reality.

江戸時代の絵画、俳諧の表現技法の一つに「見立て」というのがある。それはいっけんまったくかけはなれた異質なものを、わずかな共通因子をとらえることによって、つないで鑑賞することである。みえるかみえないかの細い糸でこうして結ばれた異質なもの同士の関係は、あくまでも仮に成り立つもので移ろいやすいものである。この点において見立ては、世阿弥の「和合」につながる。見立てにおいても世阿弥の和合においても、美は永遠で特権的なものではなく、他社との危うくてはかないつながりにあるのである。ここには変わらぬ「コンセンサス」などはない。あるのは諸々の異質なもののあいだを移ろいゆく仮の「コンセンサス」――「響き合い」、「和合」だけである。こうした見立ての美学は、芸術は永遠のイデアを模倣するものであるとするアリストテレスの美学の対極をなすいっぽう、普遍的支配的なマクロ・ミュトスを否定し、新しいゲーム規則を求める現代のポストモダンに、多くの点において示唆するところがある。

It is the author’s position that the framework for WID/GAD, as academic field and practice concerned primarily with developing countries should be broadened so as to incorporate Japan’s own gender and development issues in its scope. Unlike other developed countries, activists and scholars in Japan rarely connected, as was also the case with the fields of women’s/gender studies and WID/GAD. However, this was not due to any lack of interest among Japanese women regarding the lives of women in developing countries. Rather the points of fissure were the notions of ‘difference’ and ‘development’ held by Japanese women. These analytical concepts were narrowly defined, which resulted in limited interaction between discourse on women’s issues in Japan and WID/GAD related to ‘other’ women. By re-examining these notions and looking more deeply into perceived differences in the local context of ‘development’, not only can we strategize on ‘differences’ in such a way that we draw strength from the very fact of being different, but also prevent ‘differences’ from being used as grounds for discrimination. As a whole, we could gain substantially by broadening the field of Gender and Development and, as such, it is imperative that this field be broadened with urgency as development itself changes in this ever-interconnected world
