The Fe2+/Cu2+-loaded humic acid(HA)adsorbent was synthesized by impregnation method. The structure of the adsorbent after loading was characterized by FTIR and SEM analysis, and the adsorption performance of methylene blue dye was studied. The results show that the dehydration and decarboxylation reactions occur during the modification of Fe2+/Cu2+-loaded humic acid adsorbent, the surface is rough and the non-uniform pores are formed. The best adsorption condition is the dosage of adsorbent 8 g/L, adsorption time of 150 min, pH=2, reaction temperature of 25 °C, and adsorption rate is over 97%; The adsorption of methylene blue by the Fe2+/Cu2+-loaded humic acid adsorbent is in accordance with the freundlich adsorption model and belongs to chemical adsorption.
