本稿の目的は，日本およびドイツ，中でも旧東ドイツ地域に属するザクセン州における二分岐型中等学校制度につい\て，社会システム理論の視座から比較考察を行い，ポスト単線型としての二分岐型中等学校制度の特質を提示することである。考察を進めるにあたっては，ルーマン（Luhmann, N.）のコミュニケーション・メディアに関する議論を参照し，特に教育システムにおけるコミュニケーション・メディアとしての「経歴（＝学歴）」のインフレ／デフレという視点から検討した。考察の結果，以下の結論を得た。日本とザクセン州とで共通しているのは，いずれの二分岐型制度もプレ単線型としての分岐型制度とは異なり，それぞれの学校系統を特定の機能システム領域に特化して接続させる方向とはなっていない点である。ポスト単線型としての二分岐型制度においては，２つの学校種は教育システムにおいて内部分化した別々のシステムを基盤とするのではなく，より自律性を高めた教育システムの同一の地平の上での，「より良い／より劣る」の２値コードによるコミュニケーションの展開を基盤として成立していると考えられ，ここにポスト単線型としての再分岐型化の特徴を見出すことができる。

本稿の目的は,ヨッヘン・カーデがルーマン教育システム理論をどのように批判的に継承しつつ発展させてきたかを跡づけ,それを踏まえて理論的考察を行うことである。カーデによれば,現代の教育システムは学校という組織の枠を越えて普遍化した機能システムであり,全体社会に流通する知識から[媒介可能]としてフィルタリングした《知識》を,成人を含む被教育者に媒介することで知識の習得に寄与し,ライフコース形成を促す教育コミュニケーションのネットワーク型システムである。教育システムは心理システムにおける個人の習得に,これをコミュニケーション上の習得と関係づけることで間接的にアクセスしうる。また教育システムは全体社会のメディアとしての【ライフコース】の存在を前提とし,〈媒介〉と〈選抜〉の二つのコードをもち,それによって全体社会において存続・安定化する。ルーマンが教育システムの一体性を象徴するとしてきた「教育意図」もこれらのコードとの関連で理解でき,またこの両コードをそれぞれ【ライフコース】メディアの事象次元・社会次元における具体化と捉えた場合,時間次元のコードとして[展望的/回顧的]を想定できる。一方カーデは【知識】と【修了証】を教育システムのコミュニケーション・メディアとしているが,これについては疑問が残る。 The aim of this paper is to review Jochen Kadeʼs critical succession and elaboration of Luhmannʼs educational theory and to discuss it theoretically. According to Kade, the contemporary educational system is a functional system which has universalized beyond the domain of scholastic organization. It is also a network-like system of educational communications which contributes to the educatees' acquisition of knowledge and helps them to construct their life courses by mediating them with 'mediatable knowledge' filtered from knowledge circulating in the whole of society. The educational system can access the individual acquisition of knowledge indirectly by regarding it as reflected in communicational acquisition. The educational system operates on the basis of the general social medium of 'life course', and has two kinds of codes, 'mediation' and 'selection', by which it can continue to reproduce and stabilize itself. The intention to educate, which Luhmann had considered to symbolize the unity of the educational system, can also be related to these codes, and if they are considered as the specializations of 'life course' medium on the dimensions of matter and sociality, respectively, the time dimension can be assumed to be 'prospective/retrospective'. On the other hand, Kade has defined 'knowledge' and 'certificate' as the communication media of the educational system, but this definition is problematic.

規範が慣習、道徳、法の3つからなることを明らかにした後、規範が、正常と異常、合法と不法、健康と病気、善と悪といった二項対立の空間を、社会に生み出すことを示す。つぎにヨーロッパにおける近代の起源に4つのメルクマールがあることを示した上で、社会の4つの領域における作動メカニズムとして、資本主義、民主主義、近代科学と技術、近代的人間類型があることを明らかにする。さらに近代社会における機能分化と個人主義の原理にもとづいて発生する秩序問題の解法を、パーソンズ、ルーマンの学問的貢献を通してあとづけた上で、社会秩序の中核をなす自由および正義への道程を模索する。

N ・ルーマンは一九八○年以降、知識社会学の新たな試みとして『社会構造と意味論』という論文集を出した。そこでは観察者が社会的な価値に帰属している中で、どのように批判的なアプローチが可能なのかという問題を扱っているとみることができる。まず、機能主義的な方法を用いて神話や歴史などを考察したカッシーラーのシンボル(形式)を手がかりに彼の歴史的意味論の考察をする。カッシーラーの延長線上にコゼレックの社会史の方法としての歴史的意味論を考察する。それを媒介として、ルーマンの意味論の方法を、社会構造との関連からと二階の観察との接点から考察する。その両方の結びつきにルーマンによる社会の批判的観察の可能性を探る。, N. Luhmann has published a series of books titled "Gesellschaftsstruktur und Semantik" since 1980. He tries to challenge the problem of "classical sociology of knowledge". The books deal about the problem how we can make a critical approach to society, even if it determines us. First, we look at the concept of Cassier's symbol, which is approached in a functionalistic way, and his historical semantics. Then we turn towards the method of Kosellek's historical semantics, and compare it to Luhmann's method. Luhmann's semantics is a second-order observation, which makes it possible to observe the social structure in semantics.
