The first temple in the Chelyabinsk fortress in the context of the sacralization of space during the Russian colonization of the Urals and Siberia. The article, on the basis of the sources involved, deals in general terms with the main problems of temple building in the frontier zone in the process of Russian colonization of the Urals and Siberia from the late XVI to the 1730s. Sources are acts of record documentation: decrees, orders, reports. The purpose of the article is to analyze the relationship between state and church structures in temple building. The work is done within the framework of cultural history. The main institutions of the colonization process were the structures of the state and the church, the direct actors were peasants, merchants and servicemen of various categories, and the Posad population. The consolidation of Russia in new territories was carried out through the sacralization of space. The starting point in this process was the construction of the first Orthodox church. Initially, the question of building a temple was raised by both the secular authorities and parishioners, depending on the specific situation. Then the functions of establishing the ecclesiastical and administrative structure were delegated by the center to the field. If earlier the chain looked like this: Orthodox first settlers - the center in Moscow - the royal decree in place of the voivode - implementation, execution of the decision on the spot; then a new link appears at the diocesan level in the person of the bishop. This was caused, first of all, by the increasing scale of colonization, the complication of the secular and ecclesiastical-administrative structure. In the record correspondence, the idea of the impossibility of the existence of an Orthodox person without a temple can be traced. To find out the initiators of the nomination of the first temple in the Chelyabinsk fortress, an analysis of the names of the bishops of the Siberian Metropolis, in charge of which the fortress was located, was undertaken; monks of the Assumption Dalmatian Monastery in 1735, whose archimandrite was instructed to lay the church; the heads of the families of the fortress, recorded in the census of 1739 – 1740. From this it was concluded that the "symphony" of the initiative "from above" and the initiative "from below" was made.

This article analyses the activities of the Ural Bureau of the Central Committee of the RCP(b) in the preparation and implementation of measures for the zoning of the Urals within the framework of the administrative-territorial reform of 1923. The main source base for the research was the archival material from the following funds: the Administrative Commission under the Presidium of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee (GARF), State Planning Committee of the USSR (RGAE), Organising Bureau and Secretariat of the Central Committee of the RCP(b) of the VIII–XIII convocation (RGASPI), Sverdlovsk Regional Committee of the CPSU, Ural Bureau of the Central Committee of the RCP(b) (CDOOSO). The article shows the key role of the Ural Bureau of the Central Committee of the RCP(b) in coordinating the activities of the regional economic bodies directly involved in the planning of zoning — the Ural Economic Council (Uralekoso), the Ural Industrial Bureau (Uralpromburo), the Ural Planning Commission (Uralplan), as well as the Party and Soviet authorities involved in the direct implementation of zoning measures. During the work on zoning, the Ural Bureau of the Central Committee of the RCP(b) carried out a number of preparatory measures and resolved both fundamental and auxiliary technical issues. With the direct participation of the Ural Bureau of the Central Committee of the RCP(b), the most important documents (resolutions, proposals, instructions, orders) devoted to zoning in the Urals were approved. The article proves that the Ural Bureau of the Central Committee of the RCP(b) directly controlled the process and content of zoning. The key issues during the formation of Ural Oblast were the creation and staffing of authorities and management at various levels, as well as the issue of the external borders of Ural Oblast. The regional party body was involved in reorganising the party, Soviet, and economic bodies of the oblast at various levels. To solve the territorial problem, the Ural Bureau of the Central Committee of the RCP(b) had to appeal to the central authorities and negotiate with neighbouring regions on territorial disputes. The author concludes that the Ural Bureau of the Central Committee of the RCP(b), using all the accumulated experience of managing political, economic and social processes in large territories, managed to implement the administrative and territorial reform in the Urals relatively painlessly and successfully.

This article analyses the mountain mythonymy of the Urals, i.e. names for supernatural anthropomorphic beings that guard treasures of the earth (minerals and metals) and aid (or interfere with) their discovery, extraction, and carving. Russian mountain mythology has already been studied by folklorists, but the linguistic aspect is only unfolding now. The material referred to in the article was collected during the 2020–2023 expeditions and retrieved from dictionaries, folklore texts, and fiction. The article mainly draws on the mythology and mythonymy of the Urals (as well as some zones of Siberia). The paper analyses the core nominations in the sphere of “genii loci” — mythonyms хозяин (khoziain, lit. ‘master’) and хозяйка (khoziaika, lit. ‘mistress’). The authors note that the images of the owners of the mountains and earth treasures originate in peasant beliefs about the spirits of natural loci which could have been supported by the corresponding mythological images that existed among indigenous Uralic peoples. In the Middle Urals, a mountain spirit usually takes a female form. The article traces the genesis of this image and explains its feminine nature. The authors compare the following two mythonyms: хозяйка (khoziaika) from folk legends and Хозяйка Медной горы (Khoziaika Mednoi Gory, lit. ‘Mistress of the Copper Mountain’) from Bazhov’s tales. The authors note that the widespread appreciation of Bazhov’s tales stands in the way of determining the direction in which the mythonym migrated (from the author’s tale into folk speech or vice versa). Хозяйка (Khoziaika) is the most widespread mountain mythonym which is found in the Middle Urals vocabulary and phraseology associated with the extraction and carving of minerals: коса хозяйки (kosa khoziaiki, lit. ‘the mistress’s plait’), слезы хозяйки (slezy khoziaiki, lit. ‘the mistress’s tears’), мастер от хозяйки (master ot khoziaiki, lit. ‘craftsman from the mistress’, ‘craftsman inspired by the mistress’), камень хозяйки (kamen’ khoziaiki, lit. ‘the mistress’s stone’), хозяйка зеркало разбила (khoziaika zerkalo razbila, lit. ‘the mistress broke the mirror’), etc. The legends of the Southern Urals more often feature the image of a master (хозяин). This may be explained by the influence of Tatar and Bashkir culture.

This article examines historical burials and memorial ensembles included in the lists of cultural heritage sites in cemeteries of the Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk and Perm regions. The role of the cemetery is considered as an important socio-cultural urban space that preserves the memory of key historical events, significant historical figures, as well as crafts characteristic of specific territories, such as Kasli casting. It is shown that the way in which cemeteries and burials are included in the lists of cultural heritage sites varies from region to region. Thus, in the Chelyabinsk Region the most significant group of “necropolitan” cultural heritage objects is formed by many burials from the Civil War; at the same time, in the Perm Region, more often than in the Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk Regions, the graves of outstanding historical figures of the region were included in the lists of these objects. The article identifies the potential for the development of cemeteries as a kind of open-air museums, an important resource for the cultural economy of cities. The author substantiates the need to include these “lieux de mémoire” (using the concept proposed by P. Nora) in the cultural policy of cities, and in particular to create guides to the Ural necropolises, continuing the traditions of pre-revolutionary reference publications on the one hand, and rethinking cemeteries as platforms that participate in the formation and consolidation in the collective memory of narratives about local identity and the era as a whole, uniting the individual and the public. It is proposed that cemeteries and memorials, as objects of cultural policy, require special accounting and the development of a special system of management and conservation due to their specific qualities.

В статье дается обзор коллекции иконных образцов в собрании Екатеринбургского музея изобразительных искусств, происходящей из мастерской иконописца Трефилия Васильевича Филатова. Автор рассматривает иконографический репертуар образцов, уделяя внимание сюжетам, распространенным в старообрядческой иконописи. Среди опубликованных памятников уральской старообрядческой иконописи были обнаружены аналоги композициям некоторых иконных образцов. Определены стилистические особенности ряда иконных образцов, имеющих характерные черты художественного стиля невьянской иконописи. Также в статье приводится краткий обзор изученных филиграней на бумаге.

В статье анализируются цельнолитые серьги в виде калачика из комплексов IV–VII вв. Представлена сводка артефактов из 79 памятников (Франция, Болгария, Россия, Украина, Словакия, Чехия, Австрия). На основании точных топогеодезических данных составлена карта украшений. Серьги-калачики первоначально были распространены в Северном Причерноморье и имели широкий хронологический диапазон бытования, начиная с античных памятников VI–Vвв. дон.э. до раннего средневековья (IV–Vвв.н.э.). Калачиковидная серьга для комплексов IV–VII вв. является маркером аланского присутствия. Но гунны, судя по всему, переняли изначально аланскую эстетику и символику. Кавказ, Северное Причерноморье и Нижнее Поволжье в первой половине I тыс. контролировались племенами сармат (аорсов, аланов) и гуннов. На этих территориях расположено более половины памятников нашей выборки комплексов с серьгами-калачиками. Подунавье (Австрия, Чехия, Словакия, Болгария) – еще один регион, где в археологических материалах представлены эти украшения. Также серьги-калачики найдены в Бретани в могильнике Vв. Ла-Мезьер (недалеко от Орлеана), в Бургундии и Нормандии. На юго-западе Франции (Окситания, департамент Восточные Пиренеи) известно несколько находок калачиковидных серег. Два региона Галлии (Франции) в письменных источниках названы в связи с расселением алан; в этих же регионах найдены и калачиковидные серьги. В регионе «Волга – Кама – Арал» учтено 25 закрытых комплексов с калачиковидными серьгами. Таблица взаимовстречаемости элементов погребального обряда и инвентаря в комплексах демонстрирует однородность материалов в регионах, разделенных тысячами километров. Простые серьги-калачики в регионе «Волга – Кама – Арал» могут быть датированы IV–VI вв., серьги с гроздью/пирамидкой – второй половиной VI – VII вв. Их носителями в данном регионе были сармато-аланы.

Referring to regional material, this article actualizes the tradition of studying the biographies of historical figures in the context of an institutional concept, which makes it possible to describe and explain the controversial facts of political history of the new time in the era of mass social movements. The authors aim to reconstruct the later imperial period (until October 1917) of the life of Grigorii Kondratyevich Ozhigov, a representative of the national revolutionary cohort, who took an active part in the events that occurred in the Urals, Ukraine, the Baltics, Finland, and other areas of the former Russian Empire in the late twentieth century. Methodologically, the work relies on the modernization paradigm, the “new social history”, and related everyday discourse, including the anthropological approach, historical, and biographical methods. Since G. K. Ozhigov’s biography studied by a few Ural historians is replete with inaccuracies, the study is based on sources which have never been referred to previously, including official documents, periodicals, sources of personal origin, autobiographies, and memoirs by Ozhigov himself. The documents kept in the fund of the Ozhigov family of the Central State Archive of the Udmurt Republic are characterized by a complex nature. The study demonstrates that Ozhigov, who came from a peasant family, a worker of Izhevsk factories, managed to rise first to the interregional, and in 1917, to the all-Russian level, reaching the status of a member of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of the first convocation. In the political sphere, he passed a difficult path of evolution from a militant of the Ural Lbovtsy partisans during the First Russian Revolution of 1905–1907, to a member of the RCP(b) and an active participant in the implementation of the project of the proletarian state.

This article discusses the mountain metonymy of the Urals, i.e. the designation of supernatural anthropomorphic creatures that store the riches of the subsoil (minerals and metals) and contribute to or hinder their discovery, extraction, and processing. Russian mountain mythology has been studied by folklorists, but the linguistic aspect is only beginning to be explored. The material for the article was collected in the field between 2020 and 2023, and derived from dictionaries, folklore texts, and authorial literature. The author mostly focuses on Middle Ural and South Ural mythonyms; for comparison, the article draws on material of other zones connected with the Urals geographically or historically (Bashkiria, Siberia). The article provides detailed descriptions of the motivations of mythonyms and the conditions for the appearance of nominations. Mountain mythonymy can be divided into several groups depending on the motivation, i. e. the thematic group of vocabulary underlying the mythonym. This article analyses mythonyms motivated by social vocabulary, namely, denoting a person or kinship: золотая девка (golden girl), каменная девка (stone girl), горная девка (mountain girl), чудская девица (Chudskaya maiden), горный батюшка (mountain father), горная матка (mountain mother), Шубин (Shubin), etc. The article reveals and explains the specificity of Ural mountain mythonymy: thus, the девка token is used for the nomination of female spirits, whereas the баба nomination is characteristic of traditional Russian peasant mythology. An expressive feature of Ural mountain mythonymy is the presence of mythonyms formed from toponyms (девка Азовка, девка Дедюрка). The article proves that the formation of mountain mythonymy was influenced by the mythology of the Russian peasantry, the mythology of the autochthonous peoples of the Urals (Turkic and Finno-Ugric), as well as the terminology of mining actively developing in the Urals in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

This article considers folk ideas about boulders as significant objects of the natural landscape. The article mostly refers to the records made by the authors in 2005 and 2021 in the village of Oshib, Kudymkar District, Perm Region. Although the ethno-local tradition of Oshib was formed in a stable community, it has its own internal dynamics. As a result of this process, the plots of oral stories update and their functions change. The article considers the case of the Oshib stone in a broad context, i.e. in comparison with other cult stones. This approach helps highlight significant coincidences and shows the features of Komi-Permyak “vernacular mineralogy”. Folklore narratives and the proper names of stones reveal that the large size of the object becomes an important reason for the mythologisation of the boulder. It is believed that large single stones have a “heavenly” origin. One of the forms of ritual interaction is visiting stones as part of calendar rites. The Oshib boulder is found in a “dangerous” forest, so the inhabitants endow it with an ambivalent character: it is associated with demonic spirits and is used to frighten children. In the middle of the twentieth century, the folklore tradition of Oshib slowly disappears, but in the twenty-first century, its re-actualisation begins. At the same time, the actional code is completely changed, and the plots and motifs of oral stories update. In contemporary stories, there are two lines of mythologisation: one of them continues the theme of the “dangerous” stone, while the other one is a kind of adaptation of natural scientific knowledge. An important factor in the development of the tradition is the inclusion of the cult boulder into school project activities and the villagers’ intention to turn it into a tourist site. Folklore plots become a symbolic resource with the help of which the new “agents of tradition” solve this task.

В том числе 4 вида (Bidens frondosa L., Lappula intermedia (Ledeb.) Popov, Melica altissima L., Verbascum lychnitis L.) – новые для Томской области, 3 вида (Aquilegia vulgaris L., Dianthus barbatus L., Lepidium sativum L.) – новые для Республики Алтай, 2 вида (Hibiscus trionum L., Solanum physalifoliumRusby) – новые для Челябинской области. Еще для 7 видов (Achillea ptarmica L., Chaenorhinum minus (L.) Lange, Chenopodium acerifoliumAndrz., Cyclachaena xanthiifolia (Nutt.) Fresen., Impatiens parviflora DC., Najas major All., Oberna cserei (Baumg.) Ikonn.) указаны новыеместонахождения.

This article analyses the practice of public presentation of the cultural heritage protection problems in the printed materials of the Ural Society of Devotees of Natural Science (Ekaterinburg) between the second half of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Currently, the civil society structures are actively involved in the system of cultural heritage protection which makes the study of such historical experience relevant. The author comprehensively analyses the materials of Zapiski Uralskogo Obshchestva Lyubitelei Estestvoznaniya (Notes of the Ural Society of Devotees of Natural Science) (40 volumes) related to the discussion of issues of cultural heritage protection, which has never been done previously. The study uses research tools of the historical-anthropological and procedural methods. The article refers to different sources: published office documents of the Society (minutes of meetings, reports), scientific notes and papers, catalogs. The analysis of the sources demonstrates that Zapiski dealt with the problems of preserving all the main categories of cultural heritage (immovable, cultural properties, intangible). The publications pay significant attention to the problems of preserving book rarities and museum collections, disseminating their own and world experience in this area. The regular topics of Zapiski were the discussion of the problems of archaeological objects protection (registration, methods of study), information about excavations, and random archaeological finds. The important topics of the Zapiski were the popularization and actualization of objects of Ural cultural heritage. This was achieved through the publication of catalogs of the society’s collections and reviews of archaeological sites. Zapiski contains a lot of articles about the ethnography of the Ural population (everyday life, traditions, folklore). Nevertheless, the problems of preserving the intangible heritage were raised very rarely. The experience of protection activities was promoted by printed materials on the interaction between the Society and the Imperial Archaeological Commission, the provincial administration, and foreign organizations. The author believes that the materials of the Notes of the Ural Society of Devotees of Natural Science performed an important function of disseminating scientific and practical experience in the protection of cultural heritage, its popularization, and actualization.

Впервые для территории Оренбургской области приводятся 10 видов Staphylinidae. Четыре вида (Aleochara tristis, Acrotona nigerrima, Anotylus pumilus и Oxytelus piceus) впервые указываются для Уральского региона, а два вида (Carpelimus elongatulus elongatulus и Philonthus rectangulus) — для Южного Урала. В качестве дополнительного материала впервые на территории Пермского края отмечены Paederus riparius и Philonthus quisquiliarius. Представлены изображения половых органов (сперматека и эдеагус) Acrotona nigerrima и общий вид и эдеагус Philonthus nitidicollis.

Из 150 зафиксированных на территории бывшего СССР кладов каменного века (палеолит – энеолит) к мезолиту относится всего восемь. Четыре клада найдены на Среднем Урале, еще по два клада обнаружено в Тверской и Архангельской областях. Все клады характеризуются небольшим количеством находок и их спецификой. С учетом характеристики сырья все клады относятся к моносырьевым. В одном кладе залегали изделия из кости, в остальных – из камня. Классификация кладов по технологическому принципу позволяет два клада отнести к орудийным, в которых представлены только законченные изделия. Эти же клады являются однокомпонентными, так как в них зафиксированы орудия только одного типа – топоры и наконечники. Все остальные клады являются орудийно-техническими, в которых находятся как законченные орудия, так и заготовки и отходы производства. По количеству находок, их составу, компактности и плотности залегания практически все мезолитические клады можно отнести к ранцевым наборам древних охотников. Подобные наборы фиксируются на различных территориях не только в кладах, но и в погребениях. Их состав зависел от различных факторов: качества сырья, производственной необходимости, длительности похода и потребностей владельца.

This article continues the study of one of the constituent parts of the reform of the organisational foundations of the Russian mining industry in the second half of the nineteenth — early twentieth centuries, associated with the organisation of state supervision over private industry. The author deals with problems faced by officials of mining supervision, i.e. district engineers of the Ural mining region. In the early twentieth century, it remained the largest in terms of the number of objects of supervision and this aspect is in many respects indicative of what was happening around the whole country. According to the district engineers themselves, at that time, they had to face both problems of organising their work (defining the boundaries of districts and objects of supervision, financing, and official status), and problems related to the performance of their duties (lack of “measures of influence” on entrepreneurs). It turns out that if the former ones got solved, although not always promptly, the latter ones persisted, despite their acute character and social significance. It is concluded that the main reason for this was the different levels of overcoming certain problems. If organisational issues were resolved by means of administrative measures, as a rule, finding understanding in the mining department itself, functional ones required the approval of legislative bodies which brought them to a level of discussion where the mining department was no longer of decisive importance. The presence of diverse difficulties in the work of mining supervision in the early twentieth century indicates that at the final stage of its existence, it was not a perfect institution and did not always achieve its main goal of educating responsible entrepreneurship in such an important sector of the economy as the mining industry.

В международных открытых генетических базах данных отсутствуют сведения о нуклеотидных последовательностях для Phlojodicarpus villosus. Этот вид сосудистых растений представлен на Урале изолированными реликтовыми популяциями и включен в региональные Красные книги. Совместное применение ядерного и хлоропластного маркеров позволило надежно определить филогенетическое положение P. villosus в пределах трибы Selineae (подсемейство Apioideae, семейство Apiaceae). Установлено, что нуклеотидные последовательности ITS1-ITS2 и trnH-psbA достаточно информативны для того, чтобы идентифицировать представителей данного рода. Высокий полиморфизм полученных последовательностей P. villosus из разных частей ареала (Северный Урал и Колымское нагорье) и наличие эволюционных событий (делеции) оправдывает более пристальное изучение P. villosus и других таксонов рода Phlojodicarpus с использованием молекулярно-генетических методов.

Актуальность работы. Отходы производства в промышленно развитых регионах значительно влияют на современное состояние малых рек. Первостепенную роль в загрязнении поверхностных водотоков играет инфильтрация кислых подотвальных сточных вод. Кислые дренажные воды содержат в своем составе аномальные концентрации таких металлов как медь, цинк, железо, марганец и др. В кислой водной среде металлы находятся в растворенной форме и могут мигрировать на значительные расстояния, загрязняя поверхностные водотоки и подземные воды и в реакции нейтрализации переходят в нерастворимую форму, накапливаясь в донных отложениях. Цель исследования. Оценка состояния природных вод и донных отложений руч. Рыжий и р. Сак-Элга с учетом негативного воздействия инфильтрационных вод хвостохранилищ. Методы исследования. Массовые концентрации металлов в пробах воды определялись методом количественного химического анализа при помощи атомно-эмиссионного спектрометра ICPE-9000. Валовые концентрации элементов в пробах донных отложений исследовались согласно методике МВИ-80-2008 «Методика выполнения измерений массовой доли элементов в пробах почв, грунтов и донных отложениях методами атомно-эмиссионной и атомно-абсорбционной спектрометрии». Результаты работы. В статье представлены результаты мониторинговых исследований количественного химического состава ручья Рыжий и реки Сак-Элга, по итогу которых была проведена оценка влияния инфильтрационных вод хвостохранилищ предприятия АО «Карабашмедь» на компоненты гидросферы. Отмечено, что вне зоны влияния отходов обогащения природная вода характеризуется как слабощелочная среда, а ее pH равен приблизительно 7,5, а после впадения в реку ручья Рыжий, формируемого дренажными водами хвостохранилища №3, pH воды снижается до значений 4-5. Далее по течению реки находится хвостохранилище №4, инфильтрационные воды которого снижаютpH воды до 3-3,5. В статье приведены результаты мониторинга окружающей среды, включающие в себя отбор проб воды и донных отложений ручья Рыжий и реки Сак-Элга, пробоподготовку и количественный анализ состава проб. Было установлено, что в зоне влияния хвостов обогащения медных руд присутствуют значительные превышения предельно допустимых концентраций по ряду элементов. В статье отмечено, что разработка мероприятий по изъятию и вторичной переработке отходов горно-обогатительных производств позволит значительно снизить техногенное влияние на поверхностные водотоки.

Составные бронзовые зеркала-погремушки являются самыми экзотичными и сложными в изготовлении зеркалами скифского времени. Считается, что они производились в V-IV вв. до н. э. на территории Северо-Западной Индии и Бактрии, на что, в частности, указывают изображённые на них «девы» в костюмах индийских танцовщиц, слон, павлины, антилопы и лотосы. До недавнего времени было известно всего пять зеркал-погремушек в захоронениях кочевников V-IV вв. до н. э. на Алтае и Южном Урале. Находка каждого такого зеркала является значимым событием, поскольку привносит что-то новое для разгадки вопросов об их назначении и месте производства. В этом отношении зеркало-погремушка из Среднего Урала занимает особое место, поскольку имеет много специфических особенностей. Помимо этого, оно является первой находкой такого рода в таёжной зоне и несёт на себе необычные граффити, что роднит зеркала-погремушки с культовыми бронзовыми дисками из Казымского клада. Анализируя особенности зеркал-погремушек и копирующих их культовых дисков, авторы предполагают, что зеркала-погремушки, поступавшие кочевникам на Южный Урал в V-IV вв. до н. э., могли изготавливаться на территории Ирана. После падения Персии и изменения культурного окружения вместо зеркал в III-II вв. до н. э. начали производить подобные диски культового назначения, по-видимому, также поставлявшиеся кочевникам Южного Урала, а от них охотникам северной тайги в обмен на пушнину.

This article is devoted to the traditional mechanisms of semioticisation of natural landscape, which are considered with reference to revered boulder stones of Northern Prikamye. The approach chosen by the author is determined by modern trends in the study of the cult of stones, more particularly, the shift from the search for “traces of paganism” to other possible models that influenced the existing mythological ideas and practices. The author closely examines two ethno-local traditions functioning in Komi-Permyak District, Perm Region, i.e. in Yusvinsky and Gainsky Districts. The research material includes ethnographic facts and folklore texts of the nineteenth — early twenty-first centuries, including the records of ethnographer L. S. Gribova and new field data, some of which have not been published before. In one of the cases, in the village of Arkhangelskoe, Yusvinsky District, two competing etiological interpretations of the boulder are found. The Christian explanation (the stone is the “saddle” of prophet Elijah) is gradually replacing the “heroic” version of the appearance of the stone (the “saddle” that fell from the bogatyr’s horse). The main subject of the storytelling is multiple movements of the boulder in space, overcoming the natural immobility of the stone and serving — along with stories about the healings of people — confirming its “miraculous” properties. The second case was recorded in a remote, inaccessible part of Gainsky District. There, boulders serve as a materialised memory of the first inhabitants of the region — brothers-bogatyrs / strongmen. There are contaminated plots in which the local hero Pera replaces St Stefan Permsky floating on a stone. The criterion for the special semiotic status of the stone, its separation from the neutral landscape, is the appearance of its own name (oronym). Apparently, the forms of veneration of the three stones described in the article, known from the evidence of the nineteenth century onwards, did not develop until the settlement of these territories at the end of the sixteenth — first third of the seventeenth centuries, in a situation of contacts with Russian peasants. Taking into account data from over a century allows the author to show the flexibility of the Komi-Permyak tradition aimed at mythologising boulder stones.

В статье дается краткий анализ предложений и проектов, разработанных в 1894–1895 гг. министром земледелия и государственных имуществ А.С. Ермоловым по развитию Кавказа, Средней Азии, Урала и Сибири. Цель работы – определить, в какой степени и в каких аспектах общий тренд модернизации экономики страны влиял на политику заселения и освоения этих имперских окраин, т.е. подчинял их логике «фронтирной» модернизации. Рассмотренные материалы разнообразны по содержанию. На Кавказе основное внимание уделялось проблеме переселения, в Туркестане – хозяйственному освоению, в Сибири сочетались оба направления колонизационной политики. Но в предложениях А.С. Ермолова прослеживаются общие подходы. Это, во-первых, преодоление хозяйственной замкнутости регионов и открытие их посредством прокладки транспортных коммуникаций; во-вторых, сочетание переселенческой колонизации с интенсификацией и специализацией хозяйства, переход к более рациональным методам освоения природных ресурсов; в-третьих, подготовка и организация переселенческого процесса, оптимизация землепользования в части урегулирования отношений переселенцев с местным населением; в-четвертых, переход к индустриализации окраин. Особняком в ряду регионов стоял Урал, который, благодаря длительной традиции развития горнозаводской промышленности, к концу XIX в. утрачивал фронтирную специфику, переходя в разряд среднеразвитых промышленных регионов. На Урале на первое место выходили задачи структурной политики, направленные на адаптацию региона к рынку.

This article traces the process underlying the creation of a new model of state supervision of the private mining industry as an integral part of the general reform of the institutional basis of this strategically important sector of Russia’s economy. The study covers the second half of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries and includes both the period of preparation of reform projects in the Mining and Tax Commissions in the 1860s, and the subsequent period of implementation of an option they proposed. The author determines the main differences between the two alternative projects arising from the different composition of the participants in the preparatory commissions. It is established that after the decision of the Minister of Finance Michael Graf von Reutern in 1868 to leave the reform process in the hands of the Mining Department, it began to be carried out according to the project proposed by the Mining Commission. This project involved the establishment of departmental mining supervision distinguished by the specialisation of functions and the professionalisation of officials. Additionally, the author considers the main responsibilities of district engineers determining their specifics conditioned by the peculiarities of the organisation of the Russian mining industry. Then, the research traces the expansion of functions of mining supervision and the coordination of its actions with regional civil authorities, the police, and other forms of industrial supervision in Russia in the 1890s. The author describes the course of the spread of a new model of mining supervision across the empire. At the same time, special attention is paid to the establishment of mining administrative districts in the largest Ural mining region. It is revealed that, as a result of the reforms, Russian mining supervision became organisationally equal to that in Western Europe but received a significantly more extensive functionality that went beyond the scope of technical supervision and was not provided for by the initiators of the reform.

This article analyses the experience of the national educational activity of Yekaterinburg Uyezd Zemstvo between the second half of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. It is noted that initially, the zemstvo turned to the all-Russian practice of opening Russian and non-Russian vocational schools in accordance with the Rules from March 26, 1870 “On Measures for the Education of Non-Russians Living in Russia.” The establishment and economic maintenance of Russian-Bashkir schools in the region was carried out at the expense of Yekaterinburg Zemstvo, setting the task of enlightening the population of economically disadvantaged areas. The activity of the Zemstvo in opening Russian-Bashkir schools was not always met with support in the Muslim community. In 1898, the opening of the school in Karabolka was disrupted, and in 1902 the school in Asanovo was closed. However, gradually, the network of Russian-Bashkir schools expanded. In 1917, there were six educational institutions of this type (in Berdenish, Sary, Kaluzhbaeva, Karabolka, Alabuga, and Staroe Asanovo). Following the Revolution of 1905, the liberalisation of the religious policy of the government attracted the attention of zemstvo leaders to the confessional schools of the uyezd. Starting from 1908, zemstvo benefits began to be paid to these educational institutions amounting to 3 915 roubles in 1916. The practice of national educational activity of Yekaterinburg Zemstvo was quite liberal and did not have a Russification focus. By aiding the confessional educational institutions of the “new method”, the zemstvo showed respect for the traditional cult and historical past of the Muslim population and thereby sought interaction with the local communities. Muslim leaders, however, hoped to strengthen national elements in education. After the February Revolution, S. S. Khamzin, member of the Yekaterinburg Uyezd Commissariat, released a project, insisting that Russian-Bashkir vocational schools should be transformed into national schools. The uyezd zemstvo postponed the question of organising national schools until the establishment of Muslim volost zemstvos in the uyezd. However, the zemstvo failed to complete these transformations.

Old Believers have been one of the most important components of the religious landscape of Russia for several centuries. Between the 18th and early 20th centuries, one of the largest centres of Old Believers in the Russian Empire was the mining Urals. Despite the large number of studies on the phenomenon of Old Belief, it should be noted that it is not well studied. This mostly applies to local centres and individual concords. This article attempts to reconstruct the history of Old Believers in the factory settlement of the Nizhnesaldinsky Plant with reference to both already known and new sources. Founded in the second half of the 18th century by N. A. Demidov, the Nizhnesaldinsky Plant was originally inhabited by natives of the Volga Region, a significant number of them being Old Believers. The role of the “Old Believer factor” in the history of Nizhnyaya Salda is evidenced by this fact: an Old Believer chapel appeared there simultaneously with the construction of the village, and an Orthodox church was only built 5 years later. It should be noted that initially all Nizhnaya Salda Old Believers belonged to the Beglopopovtsy movement (receiving priests who fled from the official Church), but in the early 19th century, part of the Оld Believers of Nizhnyaya Salda transitioned to Bespopovtsy (Pomortsy), and in the second half of the 19th century completely transformed into the radical movement of Stranniki (runners). The article reveals the motivations and reasons for these transitions. It also provides information about changes in ideological attitudes and analyses statistical data. Special attention is paid to the period between the 1930s and early 1940s, when the Soviet authorities brutally dealt with the Salda Stranniki. However, the Old Believers managed to survive the repression and adapt to the new conditions.

This article describes the circumstances behind the opening of the first arithmetic schools in the Urals. Together with grammar schools, they formed a new type of educational institutions of Russia, belonging to the mining department and becoming the largest secular educational institutions of Russia with a democratic structure of students in the 1730s. Thanks to these schools, it was possible to arrange factory apprenticeships for specialists in various fields, and qualified personnel were trained for the developing Ural industry. The author describes the first actions of the authorities taken to organise arithmetic schools at the Uktus Plant and in Kungur, which celebrated their 300th anniversaries in 2021, as well as the role of Vasily Tatishchev, the chief of the factories, and the Collegium of Mining (Berg-kollegia) in that. It is demonstrated that in 1720–1721, being interested in staff training for factories made up by local youth, the Collegium of Mining made it possible for schools to accept children of scribes and clergymen residing in the territories but not subordinated to the mining authorities; moreover, such schools also made it possible for peasants assigned to plants to join, which was a unique example in the history of Russia at the time. The article traces Vasily Tatishchev’s actions in enrolling children to schools, replenishing them with pupils and assigning them government salaries. Additionally, the author establishes the number of children taught in such schools, the places of their distribution to the cases, and reveals the difficult financial conditions of educating children away from their homes. Particular attention is paid to the teaching staff comprising Moscow Artillery School graduates, who performed their main factory duties in addition to their training, except for one, who worked only with children at the Uktus school. Finally, the article describes the destiny of the Kungur arithmetic school, i.e. the transfer of its students in 1725 to Ekaterinburg by order of the Collegium of Mining.

This article explores the history of the establishment of the first Russian-Bashkir agricultural school in the Urals. Its initiator was Nikolai Aleksandrovich Sokovnin (1841–1893), a prominent figure in professional education. The article analyses reports of the Krasnoufimsk Russian-Bashkir lower agricultural school to the trustee of the Orenburg educational district written by Sokovnin. They testify to the fact that the establishment of this educational institution was the result of many years of thinking by the teacher about how it could be possible to improve the economic situation of peasants with the help of education. Sokovnin was convinced that agricultural schools could not be limited to teaching the theory and practice of farming and cattle breeding, they had to give peasants the skills to process agricultural products. He looked for new sources of national wealth in the development of small trades such as handicrafts, as well as in the dissemination of technical knowledge among the population. Sokovnin saw the missionary function of the school in the fact that it could change the established traditions of raising Bashkir children and make them sensible and thrifty heads of households. Sokovnin sent the first teachers of the agricultural school to the best processing enterprises in Central Russia to improve their technical knowledge and skills. The Krasnoufimsk Russian-Bashkir lower agricultural school was opened in 1887. It worked in accordance with the Charter, which demanded that the school have full-time teachers who received state salaries and people who worked for hire. The former included a school manager, a preparatory class teacher, three main class teachers and a teacher of law, the latter — a mullah teacher, craft teachers, foremen, a watchman and other attendants. Education at the school lasted for five years: two years in the preparatory class and three years in the basic. About 60 people studied at the school every year, a third of them being Bashkirs and representatives of other peoples who professed Islam.

The book under review is the first research in the history of Russian philology aimed at structuring and comprehensive description of 19th-century Russian literature in the Urals. The monograph coauthored by the best scholars of regional fiction substantiates the term ‘Ural megasupertext’. The review raises a question about the outer limits and semantic capacity of the term. The History of Ural Literature gives an extended interpretation thereof, as the research subject comprises Russian as well as national literatures from the geographical Great Urals such as Bashkir, Komi, and Udmurt literatures. The authors look beyond the literary process research turning to studying the theatre and publishing trade which inevitably leads the ‘Ural text’ concept to extend. Besides, The History of Ural Literature comprises works by writers both directly connected with the region and those whose stay in the Urals was momentary. The review states that actual experience of writing monographs aimed at comprehensive construction of the history of literature demonstrates that each time scholars must consistently solve for themselves the fundamental issues connected with the capacity and structure of the research field.

This article analyses one of the main characteristics of the demographic behaviour of Russian citizens, i.e. their age at first marriage and its dynamics in the early twentieth century. The authors examine the situation in Yekaterinburg, a compact but an intensively developing industrial city. Together with aggregated census data, the authors refer to microdata extracted from several city parish registers (metricheskie knigi), which they transcribed into the Ural Population Project database. As a result of the analysis of nominative data of parish registers, the authors establish the age of first marriages including both averages in the city as a whole and per parish which enables them to conclude about the citizens’ demographic behaviour conditioned by their ethnic or religious affiliation, social status and migration patterns, and other personal characteristics. The analysis demonstrates that Yekaterinburg seems to be closer to the “European” marriage pattern, at least in terms of mean age at first marriage in men which grew with the beginning of the war. However, according to the 1926 Census and the age of first marriage and that of never married significantly decreased as compared to the imperial period. The results of the analysis of aggregated and nominative data for Yekaterinburg enable the authors to put forward an idea that following the revolution and the establishment of a new political regime, migration from western provinces stopped while migration from rural areas increased. Rural migrants brought their own marital patterns to the city which implied mandatory marriage. Living in an increasingly stressful environment as a result of World War I, the revolution and the civil war, migrants were trying to get married earlier than on average to secure family support for themselves.

The monograph reviewed studies the socio-political dynamics in the Urals in the second half of the 19th century. The main actors of the social process were the state, entrepreneurs, and workers (the emerging working class). These three actors functioned as part of a single production organism, interacted and collaborated with each other, but they also defended their own interests. Periods of social harmony were accompanied by “turmoil” and conflicts. The author makes extensive use of archival materials and demonstrates a detailed picture of the growing social conflict. The state’s efforts to mitigate the contradictions between workers and factory owners were insufficient and the proliferation of conflicts led to the 1905 revolution in the long run.

В настоящее время датировка изображений на скалах и в пещерах производится на основании датирования слоя под изображениями, стилевого сходства с рисунками других территорий, аналогий с произведениями искусства малых форм, графическими изображениями на посуде и других изделиях. Но разный состав красителей, выявление палимпсеста и следов подправки рисунков могут свидетельствовать о разном времени нанесения рисунков на скалы или стены пещеры. Показательным примером этому является большая разница в прямом датировании краски рисунков и культурного слоя под ними в Игнатиевской пещере. Недостоверность стилистического сходства для датирования изображений доказали прямые даты краски рисунков в пещере Шове. Культурные остатки под скалами с рисунками также не могут служить основанием для датировки изображений, так как в древности часто объектами сакрализации становились и отдельные скалы без всяких рисунков. В статье характеризуются основные способы датирования рисунков, доказывается условность их результатов. Только прямое датирование красителя с рисунка может определить время его нанесения. Но и в этом случае останутся проблемы: ведь рисунки могли подправлять в разное время.

In the West of the aHochthon of Magnitogorsk zone thrusted onto the Precambrian complexes of the Uraltau zone, the Devonian island-arc complexes overlap stratigraphicalry the Ordovician and Silurian chert-basalt sequences and serpentine melange. Melange and Ordovician strata are intruded by dyke swarms and sheeted dykes («dyke in dyke») which are composed of mafic and ultramafic rocks. The dykes, composed by gabbro-dolerite, amphibole K-feldspar gabbro, hornblendite, picrite and lamprophyre, predominate. The composition of the ultramafic rocks corresponds to the composition of picrite and komatiite. The 40Ar/39Ar age of the magmatic amphibole from gabbro is 357 ± 8 m.y. The formation of dykes is related to the Early Carboniferous rift-related magmatism on an active continental margin.

В статье рассматриваются уникальные находки эпохи раннего железного века. Это бронзовый сосуд, изготовленный на Кавказе в конце vIII - начале vII в. В то время он и попал на Среднюю Волгу. Это единственная находка целого бронзового сосуда эпохи раннего железного века на территории Татарстана. На Кавказе была изготовлена небольшая бронзовая статуэтка. Датируется она IV в. до н.э. - II в. н.э. и изображает стоящего человека в высоком головном уборе. Ее нашли в Биляр-ске, расположенном в Алексеевском районе Татарстана, и хранилась она у казанского коллекционера А.Ф. Лихачева. Сейчас артефакт находится в Национальном музее Республики Татарстан. Уникальной находкой является железный скифский меч (акинак) 2-й половины VII в. до н.э., обнаруженный у г. Чистополя в Татарстане. Он был согнут при проведении какого-то ритуала. Это самая северная находка мечей «келермесского типа» в Восточной Европе. Интересен набор из 16 бронзовых декорированных пластин трапециевидной, прямоугольной и квадратной формы, обнаруженных на IV Мур-зихинском могильнике эпохи раннего железного века. Они были соединены между собой тонкими кожаными ремешками. Пластины положили в маленькую ямку, рядом с древними захоронениями. Датируются эти пластины VII в. до н.э. Сделаны они, вероятно, на Кавказе.

Рассматриваются находки предметов неутилитарного характера в составе кладов каменных изделий на территории Урала и Сибири. К таким предметам относят находки, не имеющие отношения к хозяйственной деятельности древнего человека: произведения искусства, украшения, окаменелости, кристаллы, камни с антропоморфными или зооморфными очертаниями, а также изделия из редких и эффектных видов минерального сырья. На обширной территории Урала и Сибири они обнаружены только в пяти кладах из тридцати пяти известных. Два из них происходят с Урала, по одному из Средней Азии, Восточной Сибири и Дальнего Востока. Также невелико и их количество: по одному предмету в четырех кладах и три в кладе из Казахстана. Все изделия, кроме двух стандартизированных дисков-наверший, строго индивидуальны по типу и исполнению: утюжок, фигурный кремень, лунница, скульптурное изображение рыбки, украшение. Сравнение урало-сибирских кладов со 130 кладами Восточной Европы показало, что за исключением 40 «ритуальных» кладов волосовской культуры изделие неутилитарного характера (утюжок с вырезанной на нижней части литейной формой) обнаружено только в одном кладе. Практически все уральские и сибирские клады найдены на периферии археологических памятников, что позволяет обоснованно считать их культовыми маркерами и охранителями на границе освоенного и неосвоенного пространства. Редкость предметов неутилитарного характера в кладах каменного века показывает, что их семантика обладала более глубоким и индивидуальным содержанием, смысл которого остается нам непонятным. «Ритуальные» клады волосовской культуры в отличие от всех других кладов, кроме каменных и костяных изделий, часто содержат изделия неутилитарного назначения: разнообразные украшения и скульптурные поделки. Данные клады всегда связаны с погребениями. Они найдены на той же площади, где располагались и погребения. Как и погребения, они засыпаны красной охрой. Считается, что они являются свидетельством своеобразного погребального ритуала, поэтому их считают ритуальными захоронениями. Этим они отличаются от остальных известных кладов с каменными изделиями. Присутствие в них предметов неутилитарного назначения требует специального анализа.

Обсуждается статус зоны в биостратиграфии как наименьшего подразделения хронологической шкалы, своеобразного кванта хронологического времени. Предлагается строго различать два значения термина: “зона” - зона на шкале и “стратозона” - зона в разрезе. Зональные подразделения на шкале - это моменты хронологического времени (не делятся на части), они дискретны (между смежными зонами нет временны́х переходов) и равноценны (эквиполентны). Зона в разрезе - стратозона - является материальным эквивалентом зоны на шкале, имеет объем, границы и определенный интервал протяженности. Граница любого стратиграфического подразделения (свиты, яруса, отдела и т.д.) в идеале (на детальной хронологической шкале) представляет собой зону. Хронологическую шкалу (шкалу порядка) нельзя совместить, слить, объединить со шкалой интервалов, каковой является хронометрическая шкала. Концепция GSSP для стабилизации стратиграфических границ ярусов использует принципиально неверный прием, пытаясь совместить хронометрическую и хронологическую шкалы. Пока ведущим методом в стратиграфии будет биохронологический, хронометрические критерии для определения и установления стратиграфических границ будут вспомогательными, служащими только для общей ориентировки во времени-длительности.

В результате анализа полученных за два последних десятилетия данных по геологии восточного склона Среднего Урала сделан вывод, что оптимальным способом районирования этой территории является районирование, основанное на особенностях его современной структуры. При этом в качестве главных структурных элементов следует рассматривать блоки или сегменты земной коры, образовавшиеся при ее расколе в процессе континентальной коллизии и постколлизионных процессов, а также некоторые наиболее крупные и важные для понимания структуры тектонические швы, разделяющие эти блоки. На основе этих представлений в пределах территории восточного склона Среднего Урала выделены (с запада на восток): Салатимская зона, зона Платиноносного пояса, Тагильская зона, Верхисетско-Турьинская зона, Салдинский и Сысертско-Ильменогорский блоки (выступы) кристаллических пород, Медведевско-Арамильская зона, Мурзинско-Адуйский блок кристаллических пород и Восточно-Уральская зона. Дана характеристика особенностей геологического строения выделенных зон.

В фанерозойских "черных курильщиках" в ряду от офиолитовых ассоциаций к базальт-риолитовым уменьшается количество высоко-железистых сульфидов и нарастают содержания барита. Индикаторными минералами современных "черных курильщиков", ассоциирующих с ультрамафитами, являются сульфиды никеля и кобальта, самородное золото, реже встречаются арсениды и теллуриды (САХ). "Черные курильщики" базальтовых ассоциаций либо обеднены редкими минералами (Кипр, современные СОХ), либо содержат единичные включения теллуридов висмута. Количество и разнообразие теллуридов возрастает в сульфидных трубах "черных палеокурильщиков", образовавшихся на риолит-базальтовых комплексах палеозойских и мезозойских задуговых и окраинных бассейнов энсиматических островных дуг (Урал, Понтиды, Аппалачи). Золото-барит-борнит-галенит-тетраэдритовая ассоциация является типичной для палеокурильщиков палеозойских (Рудный Алтай) и кайнозойских (Хокуроко, Окинава) энсиалических островодужных бассейнов. Элементы-примеси в гидротермальном халькопирите фанерозойских курильщиков находятся в зависимости от состава рудовмещающих комплексов, среди которых серпентинитовый отличается повышенными содержаниями Se, Sn, Co, Ni, Au и U; базальтовый - высокими концентрациями Co, Se и низкими Bi и Pb; риолит-базальтовый - высокими содержаниями Te и Bi, иногда Co и умеренными Se; базальт-риолитовый - повышенными As, Sb, Mo, Pb, Bi, иногда Ag, W и низкими концентрациями Co. Содержания Se, Сo в халькопирите труб постепенно убывают, а Ba, Bi, Pb, Ag, Sb, Mo, W возрастают по мере увеличения в рудовмещающих комплексах относительного количества кислых вулканитов.

Изложены результаты Rb-Sr изотопного датирования слюдитов на проявлениях берилла и хризоберилла Глинское, "71 км", Мариинское (Малышевское) и Заречное. Слюдиты залегают вдоль восточного контакта Мурзинско-Адуйского гнейсо-мигматитового комплекса, ядром которого являются верхнепалеозойские гранитные массивы. На основании изохрон, построенных по породообразующим и акцессорным минералам слюдитов, выделено три этапа их формирования: ~230 млн. лет (Глинское), ~205 млн. лет (Мариинское и Заречное) и ~190 млн. лет ("71 км").

В работе приводятся первые данные об изотопном составе кислорода в породах и минералах восточно-хабарнинского мафит-ультрамафитового комплекса (ВХК) и, подстилающих его метаморфических пород, входящий в структуру Хабарнинского аллохтона Сакмарской зоны Южного Урала. Показано, что габбро-нориты и вебстериты ВХК обладают выдержанным составом изотопов кислорода, соответствующим мантийно-магматическим меткам +5…+8 ‰ 18OSMOW. Таким же составом кислорода обладают и породообразующие минералы из этих пород. Метаморфические породы характеризуются тяжелым составом кислорода, в интервале +10…+15 ‰ 18OSMOW, а минералы обладают широкими вариациями изотопного состава, что отражает более низкие температуры их образования по сравнению с минералами ВХК. Тяжелый изотопный состав кислорода, изученных метаморфических пород, свидетельствуют об осадочном происхождении субстрата.

В статье рассмотрены закономерности эволюции магматизма в пределах обширной территории восточного склона Среднего Урала от Главного Уральского разлома на западе до границы распространения чехла Западно-Сибирской плиты на востоке. Анализ полученных к настоящему времени данных показал, что все выявленные проявления магматизма принадлежат нескольким крупным, единым для всего рассматриваемого региона этапам эндогенной активности. На протяжении доордовикского этапа (или этапов) произошло образование ультраосновных и основных плутонических пород, входящих в состав маюровского комплекса Мурзинско-Адуйского блока, офиолитовой ассоциации и массивов Платиноносного пояса Урала. Позднеордовикско-раннедевонский и позднеэмсско-раннефранский этапы магматизма представлены вулкано-плутоническими ассоциациями, формировавшимися в условиях островной дуги и задугового бассейна. На протяжении фаменско-раннекаменноугольного этапа происходило формирование вулканогенно-осадочных толщ и гранитоидных интрузий окраинноконтинентального типа. С коллизионным этапом магматизма, протекавшим с начала среднего карбона до конца пермского периода, связано внедрение многочисленных гранитоидных интрузий известково-щелочного и субщелочного состава. Завершающим эпизодом магматической активности было формирование в восточной части Урала и Зауралье траппов раннетриасового возраста.

Обосновывается концепция функционирования на Урале в мезозойскую эпоху эндогенных золотообразующих систем. Выделены две стадии рудогенных процессов: раннемезозой-ская - T1-J1 и средне-позднемезозойская - J2-K. Приведены радиологические датировки продуктов мезозойского рудогенсза. Показаны примеры формирования золотого оруденения в различных структурно-вещественных комплексах. Намечена пространственная связь минерализации с зонами северо-западной ориентировки. Рассмотрен своеобразный тип золотоору-денения - гипогенно-гипергенный.

На основании комплексных геолого-геофизических исследований и картирования крупных сегментов территории разработана новая схема структурно-формационных зон фундамента западной части Западно-Сибирской плиты. Новое районирование лучше соответствует известной к сегодняшнему дню геолого-геофизической информации и может служить базой для создания более детальных карт территории Зауралья и Приуральской части ХМАО.

На основании комплексных геолого-геофизических исследований составлена геологическая карта масштаба 1:500000 доюрского фундамента Северо-Сосьвинского района. Нижний структурный этаж территории - это Урал, представленный Тагильской мегазоной, где вулканиты образуют единый фор-мационный ряд развивающейся островодужной системы. Средним этажом является выделенный нами триасовый Северо-Сосьвинский грабен. В грабене выделены три формации - нижняя базальтовая, средняя - базальт-терригенная, и верхняя - терригенная, Позднетриасовый возраст последней установлен по споро-пылыдевым комплексам. Среднетриасовый возраст базальт-терригенной формации установлен К-Аr, Rb-Sr. Sm-Nd методами. В истории формирования грабена выделяется два этапа: 1. Ранне-среднетриасовый. Ограниченное постколлизионное растяжение. Формирование грабена, ограниченного сбросами, образование базальтовой и базальт-терригенной формаций. 2. Позднетриасовый. Формирование асимметричной структуры («полуграбена»). Формирование листрического разлома в западном борту грабена. Поворот по этому разлому крупного блока коры, в результате чего нижние слои грабена вышли на уровень эрозионного среза. В западной части грабена - формирование приразломных мульд. Этот триасовый вулканизм есть результат рассеянного рифтогенеза и связан с субширотным растяжением Урала и заложением Западно-Сибирского мегабассейна.

В статье описаны руды крупнейшего в Срединно-Атлантическом хребте гидротермального узла Семенов (13°31ґ с.ш.), состоящего из нескольких гидротермальных полей. Руды полей Семенов-1, -3 и -4 представлены серно-колчеданными (марказит-пиритовыми) разновидностями, характеризующимися тонкозернистыми, колломорфными, обломочными и прожилкововкрапленными текстурами. Руды поля Семенов-2 характеризуются медно-цинковой (изокубанит-халькопирит-сфалерит-вюртцитовой) специализацией и тонкокристаллическими срастаниями рудных минералов. Кроме того, руды этого поля отличаются высокими содержаниями золота (до 188 г/т) и серебра (до 1787 г/т). По текстурно-структурным особенностям выделяются несколько рудных фаций: придонная гидротермальная, донная гидротермальная и кластогенная, каждая из которых отличается по механизму рудоотложения. К придонной гидротермальной фации, образующейся ниже поверхности дна одновременно с донными гидротермальными процессами, относятся прожилково-вкрапленные руды полей Семенов-2 и -4. Донная гидротермальная фация, образующаяся на поверхности морского дна в толще воды вблизи устьев гидротермальных источников, представлена тонкозернистыми и колломорфными рудами полей Семенов-1 и -2. Кластогенная фация, образующаяся в результате разрушения твердых гидротермальных сульфидных руд, представлена коллювиальными брекчиями на поле Семенов-3. Текстурно-структурные и минералогические характеристики рудных фаций гидротермального узла Семенов сходны с таковыми из рудных фаций колчеданных месторождений Урала.

Комплексом изотопных (Sm-Nd, U-Pb-SIMS и U-Pb-ID-TIMS) методов в породах рефтинского габбро-диорит-тоналитового комплекса (Восточная зона Среднего Урала) выявлено три дискретных возрастных рубежа, наиболее древний из которых (435-430 млн лет) соответствует времени образования пород, два последующих (405-380 и 293-241 млн лет) отражают наложенные термальные воздействия, обусловленные активностью девонской островной дуги, коллизионными и постколлизионными процессами. Наряду с резко преобладающими цирконами трех главных возрастных групп в тоналите второй интрузивной фазы были обнаружены также единичные зерна реститовой или ксеногенной природы с возрастами 787 ± 4 и 581 ± 1 млн лет. Присутствие в изученных породах зерен древнего циркона является свидетельством того, что к моменту их формирования рассматриваемая часть Урала обладала кристаллической корой с возрастом не моложе неопротерозойского.

Приводятся данные о своеобразном формационном положении ильмено-вишневогорского комплекса, по всей вероятности, относящегося к линейно-трещинному формационному типу. По своему составу, особенностям силикатных и карбонатитовых пород, ряду черт их образования (схема стадиальности и др.) он, однако, обнаруживает и ряд характерных признаков, близких к классической формации УЩК-типа. Возможно, это связано со своеобразием геолого-тектонического положения комплекса, располагающегося на стыке двух разновозрастных континентальных плит Восточно-Европейской на западе и Западно-Сибирской внутриконтинентальной рифтовой системы (по терминологии Г.С. Гусева и А.В. Гу- щина, 2001 г.), а не внутри плит, как это имеет место в подавляющем большинстве случаев для карбонатитов любых формационных типов всего мира. Критически рассматриваются представления о возможном “мантийно-коровом” источнике вещества силикатных пород и карбонатитов, уже давно высказываемых рядом авторов.

В работе приводятся авторские и литературные палеомагнитные данные по палеозойским образованиям различных структурно-формационных зон Урала. Палеогеографические реконструкции крупных блоков - террейнов, выполненные на палеомагнитной основе, позволяют проследить их перемещения. Построенная по палеомагнитным данным модель хорошо согласуется с геологическими данными по континентальным перерывам и эпохам метаморфизма. Последние часто увязываются с аккреционными и коллизионными событиями.

Детальное изучение конодонтов из разрезов сакмарского яруса в стратотипической местности показало значительные изменения в составе этой группы на рубеже ассельского и сакмарского времени. Наиболее важными событиями, приуроченными к этому рубежу, являются исчезновение представителей рода Streptognathodus, появление большого количества видов рода Mesogondolella и возникновение первых свитогнатид. В частности находка морфотипа Sweetognathus merrilli Kozur в стратотипическом для сакмарского яруса разрезе Кондуровский и фиксированное положение этого морфотипа в линии Diplognathodus - Sweetognathus merrilli - Sweetognathus whitei позволяет провести глобальную корреляцию нижней границы этого яруса на Урале, Северной Америки, Китая и Японии.

Ильмено-Вишневогорский комплекс (ИВК) - один из крупнейших щелочных комплексов миаскитов, фенитов и карбонатитов с РЗЭ-Zr-Nb минерализацией, расположенный в Уральском складчатом поясе. Статья посвящена геохимии, геохронологии и источникам вещества ИВК. Приведены результаты исследования различных изотопных систем (Sm-Nd, Rb-Sr, U-Pb, Lu-Hf) в породах и минералах ИВК различными изотопными методами, в результате которых установлены возрастные кластеры (млн. лет) - 446-420 (O3-S); 388-383 (D2-3); 335 (C1) и 282-231 (P-T), соответствующие основным этапам тектонического развития Уральской складчатой области. Гео- хронологические данные фиксируют внедрение миаскитов и карбонатитов (О-S1) и продолжительный метаморфогенный этап становления ИВК на коллизионных (D2-3, C1) и постколлизионном (P-T) этапах развития складчктого пояса Уральскойого складчатого пояса. Изотопные параметры ИВК εSr = -6...-10, εNd = +3…+6, εHf = +4…+6 близки рифтогенным платформенным карбонатитовым комплексам ультраосновной щелочной формации (УЩК) и требуют деплетированного мантийного источника. Миаскиты ИВК обогащены Sr и Nb, карбонатиты обогащены Sr и обеднены Ba, Ti, Zr, Hf относительно пород УЩК. Породы ИВК обладают дивергентными изотопно-геохимическими характеристиками, сближающими их с одной стороны с рифтогенными УЩК-комплексами, с другой стороны - с карбонатитовыми комплексами линейных коллизионными зон. Происхождение ИВК предположительно связано с мантийным источником, но плавление пород УЩК, нижней или океанической коры с похожими изотопными характеристиками при генерации магм ИВК не исключается.

Минерал берилл используется промышленностью в двух видах: рудный берилл и ювелирный берилл, что обуславливает совершенно разные требования к сырью. Это позволяет рассматривать их как различные полезные ископаемые. Прогнозно-поисковые признаки и критерии разработаны только для месторождений рудного берилла. В статье предлагаются прогнозно-поисковые признаки и критерии для месторождений ювелирного берилла, в которых учтена специфика генезиса ювелирных бериллов разных типов.
