The article discusses a study that compares the antioxidant activity of Reseda (R.) villosa and Reseda duriaeana from Algeria. It states that the n-butanolic and methanolic extracts of R. duriaeana and R. villosa were analyzed using the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) system. It reveals that better antioxidant activity was observed in the n-butanolic and methalonic extracts of R. duriaeana than those of R. villosa which is said to be influenced by the presence of quercitin derivatives.
