O. insignis is the only species in China belonging to the insignis -group. O. insignis shares a brown postmedial line from the forewing apex to hind margin with O. andrema, O. pavaca, O. trispinuligera, O. paki, O. hoenei and O. bilineata. O. bilineata has a distinct antemedial line on the forewing, which is indistinct in O. insignis. The forewing outer margin is less protruding than in O. hoenei, O. paki or O. trispinuligera. The white decorations near the discal cell are present in O. andrema but lacking in O. insignis and O. pavaca. The areas on either side of the postmedial line are unicolorous in O. insignis but much deeper inside the postmedial line in O. pavaca. The male genitalia differ from other Chinese species in the long saw-like valva and the large triangular basal process. The female genitalia have a signum in the corpus bursae. Distribution.
