They can be distinguished by the following small differences: the forewing apex is blunter in N. olga but more pointed in N. purpureofascia; a black speckle is present inside the postmedial line before the angle in N. olga, but absent in N. purpureofascia; the valva is shorter and broader in N. olga than in N. purpureofascia; the anellus is slightly shorter and with smooth margin in N. olga, but longer and expanded medially in N. purpureofascia; two protrusions of the saccus are very close to each other in N. olga but further apart in N. purpureofascia. The both species are similar to N. excisa (Borneo, Malaysia, Sumatra) on external and genital characters. The hind wings of N. olga and N. purpureofascia are less excavated than those of N. excisa. In the male genitalia, N. olga and N. purpureofascia have more expanded socii; two median processes of the gnathos are much slenderer and bent inwards, but broader and straight in N. excisa; the valva is slender but distinctly swollen apically rather than broad at both ends and narrow medially in N. excisa; the two processes on the anellus are much shorter than in N. excisa. Distribution.
