This article discusses the safety regulations for children's clothing and their related testing processes. The Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA), proposed by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), lowers the allowed lead limit in children's clothing. The primary hazards tested for in children's clothing are stated to be strangle hazards, choking hazards, cutting, poking, pinching, stabbing, and scratching hazards, burning hazards, toxicity hazards, metals, and other poisons.
