Abstract

We present observations of SN 2021csp, a unique supernova (SN) which displays evidence for interaction with H- and He- poor circumstellar material (CSM) at early times. Using high-cadence spectroscopy taken over the first week after explosion, we show that the spectra of SN 2021csp are dominated by C III lines with a velocity of 1800 km s$^{-1}$. We associate this emission with CSM lost by the progenitor prior to explosion. Subsequently, the SN displays narrow He lines before metamorphosing into a broad-lined Type Ic SN. We model the bolometric light curve of SN 2021csp, and show that it is consistent with the energetic ($4\times10^{51}$ erg) explosion of a stripped star, producing 0.4 M$_\odot$ of 56Ni within a $\sim$1 M$_\odot$ shell of CSM extending out to 400 R$_\odot$., Comment: 19 pg, submitted

Abstract

Scene video text spotting (SVTS) is a very important research topic because of many real-life applications. However, only a little effort has put to spotting scene video text, in contrast to massive studies of scene text spotting in static images. Due to various environmental interferences like motion blur, spotting scene video text becomes very challenging. To promote this research area, this competition introduces a new challenge dataset containing 129 video clips from 21 natural scenarios in full annotations. The competition containts three tasks, that is, video text detection (Task 1), video text tracking (Task 2) and end-to-end video text spotting (Task3). During the competition period (opened on 1st March, 2021 and closed on 11th April, 2021), a total of 24 teams participated in the three proposed tasks with 46 valid submissions, respectively. This paper includes dataset descriptions, task definitions, evaluation protocols and results summaries of the ICDAR 2021 on SVTS competition. Thanks to the healthy number of teams as well as submissions, we consider that the SVTS competition has been successfully held, drawing much attention from the community and promoting the field research and its development., Comment: SVTS Technique Report for ICDAR 2021 competition

274. DPCRN: Dual-Path Convolution Recurrent Network for Single Channel Speech Enhancement

Abstract

The dual-path RNN (DPRNN) was proposed to more effectively model extremely long sequences for speech separation in the time domain. By splitting long sequences to smaller chunks and applying intra-chunk and inter-chunk RNNs, the DPRNN reached promising performance in speech separation with a limited model size. In this paper, we combine the DPRNN module with Convolution Recurrent Network (CRN) and design a model called Dual-Path Convolution Recurrent Network (DPCRN) for speech enhancement in the time-frequency domain. We replace the RNNs in the CRN with DPRNN modules, where the intra-chunk RNNs are used to model the spectrum pattern in a single frame and the inter-chunk RNNs are used to model the dependence between consecutive frames. With only 0.8M parameters, the submitted DPCRN model achieves an overall mean opinion score (MOS) of 3.57 in the wide band scenario track of the Interspeech 2021 Deep Noise Suppression (DNS) challenge. 276. Preparation and Properties of Cold Sprayed Al6061/SiC Composite Coatings

Abstract

In order to improve the service life and reliability of aluminum alloy in practical applications, it's usually necessary to prepare coatings on the surface to improve its wear and corrosion resistance. In this study, the Al6061/SiC composite coatings were successfully fabricated on the surface of Al7075 alloy by cold spraying with the different kinds of SiC powder. The influences of SiC contents and particle size on the microstructure, wear and corrosion performance of the composite coatings were analyzed systematically. Results showed that cold sprayed Al6061/SiC composite coatings had dense structure by adding different kinds of SiC particles. Among the coatings prepared by powders with the same SiC ratios, the composite coatings prepared by black SiC possessed the highest content of hard particles and the lowest wear rate under a load of 10 N, while the corrosion resistance of the composite coating was similar. In coatings prepared with different mass ratios of Al6061 and black SiC, as the proportion of SiC increased, the content of hard particles in the coating first increased and then decreased. Meanwhile, the composite coating with ratio of 3:7 had the highest content of hard particles(57.5%) and the lowest wear rate [1.787 6×10-4 mm3/(N·m)], but its corrosion resistance was not as good as that of other coatings. Moreover, two kinds of powders with the particle sizes of 15～30 μm and >30 μm were obtained by sieving black SiC powder. Mixing Al6061 with these two powders according to the mass ratio of 3∶7, respectively, and the wear properties of the prepared coatings were not as good as those of the original powders, but the corrosion resistance was better than those of the original powders. In addition, the corrosion current density of the coatings prepared by mixing 15～30 μm of black SiC was 9.59×10-5 A/cm2.

277. Determination of Dioxins and Dioxin-like Polychlorinated Biphenyls in Pork by Gas Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry

Abstract

A gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS) with stable isotope dilution (SID) method was established for the determination of dioxins (PCDD/Fs) and dioxin like polychlorinated biphenyls (DL-PCBs) in pork. The sample was extracted by Soxhlet extraction, defatted using acidified silica gel, and purified by sequential chromatography on a multi-layer silica gel column, an alkaline alumina column and an activated carbon column. PCDD/Fs- and DL-PCBs-rich fractions were collected separately, concentrated and redissolved for GC-MS/MS analysis. The influence of defatting method and fat content on the purification efficiency was investigated, and the blank contamination source of the system was discussed. The results showed that gel permeation chromatography (GPC) degreasing had a great influence on the recovery of PCDD/Fs and DL-PCBs, and acidified silica gel degreasing was more suitable for the analysis and detection of ultra-trace dioxins. The major blank pollution source of the dioxin detection system was the Soxhlet extractor. The recoveries for internal standard were 45.3%–122.4% with relative standard deviation (RSD) of 1.0%–14.7%. The recoveries for the analytes were 64.9%–118.8% with RSD of 1.1%–14.7%. Both the linearity and limit of detection (LOD) met the requirements of the national standard of China GB 5009.205-2013. The proposed method is suitable for the determination of PCDD/Fs and DL-PCBs in actual pork samples.

Abstract

PURPOSELeft ventricular non-compaction (LVNC) is considered rare; however, the use of cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) has shown that its incidence is not uncommon, and its clinical presentation remains variable, with an uncertain prognosis. Risk stratification of major adverse cardiac events (MACE) in patients with LVNC remains complex. Therefore, this study aims to determine whether tissue heterogeneity from late gadolinium enhancement-derived entropy is associated with MACE in patients with LVNC.METHODSThis study was registered in the Clinical Trial Registry (CTR2200062045). Consecutive patients who underwent CMR imaging and were diagnosed with LVNC were followed up for MACE, which was defined by heart failure, arrhythmias, systemic embolism, and cardiac death. The patients were divided into MACE and non-MACE groups. The CMR parameters included left ventricular (LV) entropy, LV ejection fraction (LVEF), LV end-diastolic volume, LV end-systolic volume (LVESV), and LV mass (LVM).RESULTSEighty-six patients (age: 45.48 ± 16.64 years; female: 62.7%; LVEF: 42.58 ± 17.20%) were followed up for a median of 18 months and experienced 30 MACE events (34.9%). The MACE group showed higher LV entropy, LVESV, and LVM and lower LVEF than the non-MACE group.
