How can we better understand the puzzle of low-skilled migrants who have acquired citizenship in a European Union country, often with generous social security provision, choosing to relocate to the United Kingdom? Drawing on Elias's figurational theory as a lens, we explore how relational interdependencies foster the mobility of low-skilled African European Citizens from European Union states to the United Kingdom. We found that African European Citizens rely on 'piblings networks', loose affiliations of putative relatives, to compensate for deficits in their situated social capital, facilitating relocation. The temporary stability afforded by impermanent bonds and transient associations, in constant flux in migrant communities, does not preclude integration but paradoxically promotes it by enabling an ease of connection and disconnection. Our study elucidates how these relational networks offer African European Citizens opportunities to achieve labour market integration, exercise self-efficacy, and realize desired futures; anchoring individuals in existing communities even when they are perpetually transforming. Honeynet and honeypot originate as network security tools to collect attack information during the network being compromised. With the development of virtualization and software defined networks, honeynet has recently achieved many breakthroughs. However, existing honeynet architectures treat network attacks as interactions with a single honeypot which is supported by multiple honeypots to make this single one more realistic and efficient. The scale and depth of existing honeynets are limited, making it hard to capture complicated attack information. Existing honeynet frameworks also have low-level simulation of protected network and lacks test metrics. To address these issues, we design and implement a novel container-based comprehensive cyber deception honeynet architecture that consists of five modules, called HoneyFactory. Just like factory producing products according to customer preferences, HoneyFactory generates honeynet using containers based on business networks under protection. In HoneyFactory architecture, we propose a novel honeynet deception model based on hmm model to evaluate deception stage. We also design other modules to make this architecture comprehensive and efficient. Experiments show that HoneyFactory performs better than existing research in communication latency and connections per second. Background: The establishment of sustainable connections between medical professionals and rural citizens is pivotal for effective community healthcare. Our study focuses on understanding and resolving health problems arising from social isolation, a critical barrier to achieving this goal, especially in the context of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) pandemic's impact on community dynamics respecting social cognitive theory. This study investigates the link between social isolation and rural community healthcare. We aim to develop methods that improve interaction and collaboration between healthcare providers and rural communities, ultimately enhancing the region's healthcare system. Methods: Employing thematic analysis based on social cognitive theory, we conducted semi-structured interviews with 57 community workers in rural communities. This qualitative approach enabled us to delve into the nuances of social isolation and its multifaceted impact on health and community well-being. Results: Our analysis revealed four key themes: the impact of aging on social dynamics, shifts in community relationships, unique aspects of rural community networking, and the role of these networks in driving community health. Notably, we identified specific challenges, such as the erosion of intergenerational interactions and the hesitancy to seek support, exacerbated by social isolation and negatively impacting community health. Conclusions: Our study reveals the complex factors affecting rural community sustainability, particularly social isolation influenced by privacy concerns and changing social dynamics. Emphasizing the importance of social cognitive theory, it highlights the need for adaptable healthcare systems and strong community-medical collaborations. Future research should focus on developing culturally sensitive, practical strategies for enhancing these collaborations, especially involving physicians, to address rural communities' unique challenges. In an increasingly computerized, globalized and competitive world, it is essential to protect personal, corporate and governmental assets and resources. Security has become a fundamental concern. Security technologies play a crucial role in protecting data, systems, networks and business assets. The city of Guayaquil faces a challenging reality in terms of business security, affecting the stability and prosperity of local businesses. In this sense, the objective of this research is to propose technological strategies to increase security in Guayaquil companies. A mixed research paradigm was used, with a focus on linking theoretical and empirical methods. Semi-structured interviews and surveys were used and official documents were consulted to obtain relevant information. The sample was selected with probability and non-probability sampling. The main limitations in the use of security technologies were obtained as results. A technological strategy was proposed to increase the security of companies in Guayaquil. The comprehensive strategy combines the selection of advanced physical, cyber and computer security technologies, cybersecurity education, and specific measures adapted to the local needs of companies to increase business security in the city of Guayaquil. Purpose: With a historic lack of attention to synthesis methods such as systematic review and meta-analysis and a lack of randomised controlled trials, the evidence base for behavioural interventions for children and adults who are autistic or are diagnosed with developmental disabilities is patchy. The Sharland Foundation Developmental Disabilities Applied Behavioural Research and Impact Network (SF-DDARIN), a network of like-minded researchers and practitioners across the UK, aims to address this. The purpose of this paper is to describe the network's work and provide the context for the remaining articles in the special issue that exemplify network projects. Design/methodology/approach: In this case study paper, the authors describe how the SF-DDARIN works and is resourced, detailing the process used to maximise research opportunities by facilitating network members working together. The authors outline the progressive research steps that the SF-DDARIN has identified are needed to develop and improve the evidence base for behavioural interventions systematically and, with examples, describe how the network delivers these steps. Findings: Since its establishment in 2016, the SF-DDARIN network members have collectively worked on more than 53 projects involving over 50 researchers, had over 120 special schools contribute to projects and have recruited over 500 participants. This has been achieved through funding from the Sharland Foundation, primarily to cover the staffing costs of a small support team and internship partnerships with external organisations. Some projects have attracted external funding. Originality/value: SF-DDARIN may provide an innovative, effective and resource-efficient model for other groups seeking to develop and extend their evidence base in developmental disability research. Background and Objectives: With the increasing attention to bruxism, the research on bruxism is increasing rapidly. However, there is still a lack of systematic bibliometric analysis in the field of bruxism in adults. This study aimed to comprehensively explore and visualize the global trends and research hotspots in the field of bruxism in adults during 1991–2021. Methods: The study searched the literature published during 1991–2021 in the Web of Science Core Collection database without language restrictions. VOSviewer, CiteSpace and Microsoft Excel were applied to analyse the authors, institutions, journals, countries, cited references, keywords and other information of the included publications, and construct visualized cooperation networks. Results: A total of 878 articles were finally included. The top two most productive authors in the past 30 years were Lobbezoo F and Manfredini D. ACTA‐Amsterdam, Univ Sao Paulo, Univ Helsinki, Univ Padua, Univ Montreal, et al. were prominent institutions in this field. Journal of Oral Rehabilitation made outstanding contributions in this field. The United States produced the most documents in this field, followed by Brazil. Both countries and authors cooperated closely around the world. The two most cited articles focused on the definition, assessment and classification of bruxism. In recent years, diagnostic criteria and stress have begun to receive a lot of attention. Conclusion: From 1991 to 2021, the attention to bruxism in adults continued to increase. Purpose: Businesses must now track the complicated supply chains of their products, which involve different manufacturers and suppliers. However, because supply chains are scattered across multiple countries and involve many institutions, it becomes an overwhelming practical challenge to ensure transparent recording and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions. The myriad issues necessitate a technological solution that will improve supply chain transparency, assist in managing carbon assets and allow all parties to obtain credible information on carbon output. As a potential solution, this study offers a unique architecture that effectively combines "blockchain technology" with the carbon supply chain of a multi-institution business network. Design/methodology/approach: This research and proposed framework are based on publicly available reports on carbon emissions tracking, sustainability, carbon trade and emerging blockchain technologies. The authors also interviewed industry experts to obtain their input and feedback. Findings: Businesses must support the pledges made by their respective governments towards meeting the objectives of the Paris Agreement. Although the emissions trading system encourages businesses to move in this direction, it can be challenging for them to efficiently manage their carbon assets owing to issues such as lack of standardised methods for tracking emissions across suppliers and manufacturers and the fragmentation of carbon markets. The carbon supply chain can maintain a record of the chronological flow of carbon emissions and eventually of all carbon assets by integrating a centralised ledger system based on blockchain technology. Originality/value: Global warming, climate change and carbon emissions are among humanity's pressing problems today. To achieve net zero emissions by the middle of the 21st century, emissions must be drastically reduced. Global supply chains have a crucial role to play in this context. This article provides a blockchain-based technology framework for carbon emissions visibility and tracking. The authors believe such a platform will provide critical visibility and tracking support to globally dispersed supply chains, moving a step closer towards carbon emissions control and net zero operations. This article provides a literature review on the impact of knowledge management (KM) practices on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It analyzes various dimensions of KM, such as technological capability and human capital, and their effects on financial and innovative performance in SMEs. This article discusses the internationalization of Colombian Multilatinas and the development of a composite indicator, the Colombian Multilatinas Composite Indicator (CMCI), to measure their degree of internationalization. The methodology used in the study involves a multicriteria approach and the selection of variables based on their relationship with internationalization. Transgender people, or those whose gender identity differs from the gender assigned to them at birth, have historically experienced considerable gender bias and obstacles in many aspects of life. Entrepreneurship, a field characterized by human freedom and self-creation, presents transgender persons with both distinct problems and opportunities. This article sinks into the experiences of transgender entrepreneurs, investigating at how concerns of identity, discrimination, and societal standards affect their entrepreneurial path. This study offers light on the resilience and innovation of transgender entrepreneurs who navigate complicated personal and professional terrains using qualitative interviews, statistical data, and case studies. While transgender entrepreneurs face numerous challenges, from access to financing to acceptance in business networks, the findings imply that they also use their unique identities and experiences to drive creativity. Community-building and social change. Implications for policy, practice, and further research are discussed, emphasizing the need for more inclusive and supportive ecosystems that recognize the potential of all entrepreneurs, irrespective of their gender identity. In order to achieve transition toward a Circular Economy (CE), multiple stakeholder partnerships are required. Although the CE shows proven potential and impact, the implementation is still very low in developing and transition countries. The role of networks in promoting the CE is assessed, including the impact which network participation has on the implementation of a CE at company level. Although firm level capabilities can be enhanced by network participation, a lot of knowledge gaps exist regarding the orientation and structure of networks; governance models for networks and the high impact activities that can be implemented. A systematic literature review was undertaken to characterize the role of sustainable business networks in green industrial transformation. The approach to literature review included keyword search, title analysis, search title analysis, abstract analysis and systematic review of contents for full review of 50 research articles from Web of Science, Scopus and literature. Barriers, cognitions and challenges in the operation of sustainable business networks were clearly analyzed, including knowledge gaps existing in literature. Database search and document review was undertaken to determine the role and impact of sustainable business networks in promoting a CE in comparison to idiosyncratic organizations without any affiliation. The review enabled determination of the policies which promote sustainable business networks, network structure, governance, and success factors. We conclude that sustainable business networks have an impact on the CE transformation in selected African countries. The COVID-19 outbreak-induced economic crisis has been considered significantly worse than the Great Depression (1929–1939), the worst economic catastrophe in history. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have suffered heavier losses than large organizations during the pandemic. However, empirical results regarding relationships between resilient factors and SMEs performance have been inconclusive. This study builds on the Resources-Based-View and Contingent Theory to examine one resilient factor as co-creation. Following a comprehensive literature review, quantitative research was adopted in this paper. There were a total of 450 SMEs participating in this study. SmartPLS 4.0 was performed on the relationship between co-innovation and SMEs outcomes. The findings show a positive and direct impact of co-innovation and organizational resilience and further leverage SMEs’ performance. Furthermore, it was found that co-innovation also boosts the resilience of business networks, SMEs, which play a critical role in business survival. Driven by these findings, SMEs in emerging markets should consider and focus on co-innovation with their stakeholders to overcome the long-lasting impacts of the pandemic. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

BACKGROUND: Utilisation of coworking spaces (CWS) was rising sharply prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. The transition to new work arrangements which involve a hybrid, work and home model, is likely to involve the use of alternative workspaces. Understanding the impacts of CWS on employees is timely to examine the benefits of utilisation and how these might be incorporated into new ways of working. This scoping review aims to explore the relationship between CWS, mental and physical health, and workers' performance, and provide insights into future considerations for design. OBJECTIVE: The main objective was to map the current literature on CWS, focusing on identification of relevant modifiable factors to improve worker's mental and physical health, and performance. METHOD: Three databases, Embase, PsycInfo, and Proquest, were systematically reviewed, to identify studies from 2005 onwards. Data was extracted and analysed using diagrammatic mapping. Only studies published in English were included. RESULTS: Eleven relevant papers were included which covered the three outcomes of interest: worker's performance (5), mental health (4) and physical health (2). Environmental factors influencing the three outcomes were categorised into physical environment (12 factors) and the psychosocial environment (6 factors). Overall, CWS environmental factors had a positive influence on workers (23 positive relationships and 11 negative relationships). CONCLUSION: Coworking spaces offer potential benefits for tele-workers, including opportunities for collaboration/networking and productivity gains. However, attention to the CWS physical design is important to optimise the experience for workers and mitigate risk of adverse mental and physical health effects. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Previous research has shown that Norwegian aquaculture did not report being much affected by COVID-19 but had a strong response to the pandemic regarding cost reductions, market development, and business network development. In this study, we take a step further and investigate if COVID-19 affectedness and responsiveness were consistent across the aquaculture industry's value chain. Also, we investigate if aquaculture industry involvement explains how firms were affected by and responded to the pandemic. Reexamining survey data from Norway shows that the firms, independent of value chain position or industry involvement, were not hit particularly hard by COVID-19 compared to firms in the manufacturing industry as a reference group. In addition, we show that the response to the pandemic in terms of cost reductions, market development, and business network development was strong across the value chain – chiefly among firms involved in producing or selling sea products and providing equipment and consulting services – compared to firms in the manufacturing industry. Finally, the response to the pandemic was consistently strong, independent of industry involvement. We conclude that aquaculture firms, across the value chain and independent of industry involvement, had a strong positive response to COVID-19, albeit not much affected. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: The objective of this publication is to understand and explain the relationships between the creation of the value network and the conversion of the business model of technology enterprises that are built on digital platforms. Design/methodology/approach: To accomplish the assumed objective, the following research methods were used: critical analysis of literature, case study and trend analysis. The research period is the years 2018-2022. The case study deals with the examples of companies that are listed on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange or NYSE: Amazon, Alibaba, and Facebook. Findings: The results of the empirical research in terms of acquiring knowledge about the relationships between the creation of value networks and the conversion of the business model of the surveyed technology companies show that the surveyed enterprises convert their business models by creating the value network, competing for customers on the market of digital platforms. Understanding the processes of creating the value network in the business model enables long-term competition on the market, which at the same time shapes the development of the enterprise. Originality/value: The publication deepens the understanding of the dynamic perspective of creating the value network extended to the catalog of stakeholders of the value created, from customers and owners to suppliers, and potentially by other stakeholders, creating the value network. The construct of the value network allows for searching for new areas of value creation, pointing to the network effect, which may, on the one hand, strengthen value generation, and on the other hand, may lead to its destruction. Purpose The results of the 2022 American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Survey of Health-System Specialty Pharmacy (HSSP) Practice: Practice Models, Operations, and Workforce are presented. Methods A total of 273 leaders in HSSPs were contacted by email to complete a survey hosted using Qualtrics. The survey sample was compiled from ASHP member lists, the presence of a specialty pharmacy indicated in previous ASHP surveys, and outreach to ASHP member organizational leaders. Results The survey response rate was 35.9%. Most HSSPs dispense 30,000 or fewer specialty prescriptions annually. Most respondents have an annual revenue of $100 million or less, are part of a 340B-covered entity, operate one location, have 1 to 2 specialty pharmacy accreditations, dispense both nonspecialty and specialty medications, and employ an average of 15.5 pharmacists and 17.6 technicians. The majority (66.7%) dispense 50% or less of prescriptions written by internal providers due to payor and manufacturer network restrictions. Over one-third employ nonpharmacist and nontechnician professionals. Specialty pharmacists are involved in treatment decisions and therapy selection before prescription generation (69.8%), and 47.7% of respondents report pharmacists operating under collaborative practice agreements. Most (82.6%) offer experiential or formal education in specialty pharmacy. The top point of pride remains patient satisfaction and level of service. Top challenges include access to payor networks, the ability to hire and retain qualified staff, and shrinking reimbursement from payors. Conclusion The HSSP is a continually maturing integrated advanced practice model focused on providing patient-centric care to all patients and employees of the health system regardless of network status. Purpose: This study aims to explore how a start-up entering maritime logistics networks (MLNs) in the container shipping industry integrates resources underlying value cocreation patterns in these networks. Design/methodology/approach: The paper is based on a single case study of a technological start-up, providing tracking, tracing and other information services to MLN members using internet-based software. An interorganizational theory perspective informs the case study to unveil the resource integration for value cocreation in the network. Findings: The start-up holds multiple resource interaction roles and the start-up's involvement enables the creation of new knowledge resources, which facilitate new revenue streams and manage resource dependencies. Hence, the findings indicate that the start-up changes value cocreation patterns in the network by reconfiguring and integrating existing resources so that the service is customized for various customers, including shippers and freight forwarders. Practical implications: The results provide insights about how technological start-ups can unlock resources within MLNs. Originality/value: The study extends previous studies on resource roles in business networks and shows how start-ups can perform multiple roles simultaneously within these networks. Research Summary: We examine how crisis conditions affect the link between structural holes and organizational performance. Since brokerage offers early access to diverse perspectives and autonomy in exchange relations, the benefits of brokerage should rise when crises erupt. However, evidence on the subject has been inconclusive, raising the question of whether crisis actually imposes a boundary condition on structural hole theory. Using longitudinal data on investment banks, and exploiting the 2000 dot.com crisis as well as the 2008 financial crisis, we explore whether crises moderate the favorable effect of brokerage on performance. Our results reveal that only exclusive, and not shared, structural holes are advantageous for performance, as they facilitate ambidextrous responses to crisis. Implications for brokerage theory and new research on crisis are discussed. Managerial Summary: Crises, in the form of pandemics, wars, or market crashes, affect the relationship between a firm's position in collaboration networks and its future performance. Our analyses bring into focus a finding of interest to managers of firms operating as brokers in these networks: when a crisis erupts, a firm that serves as the sole bridge between its otherwise disconnected collaborators performs especially well. Uncontested by other intermediaries, such firms achieve a better mix of search and stability, and thus higher performance, amidst crisis. These advantages disappear when other intermediaries are present. Aim. We aimed to undertake a systematic review focusing on organisational strategies that specifically advance women nurses in healthcare leadership. Background. Despite nursing being the largest health workforce and being dominated by women, they face significant barriers in career progression and have limited leadership opportunities, with a need to move from a focus on individuals to organisational level change. Methods. Methods for our overarching systematic review are published and follow the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) checklist. Databases searched include MEDLINE via OVID; MEDLINE in-process and other nonindexed citations via OVID; PsycINFO; and Scopus. Any study describing a strategy that was not implemented for nurses and all non-peer-reviewed studies were excluded. Included studies were appraised using CASP checklists. A thematic analysis approach was employed to facilitate the systematic generation of themes. Results. Findings were reported under two main themes: leadership barriers and enablers and organisational strategies for advancing women nurses to leadership. The latter included: mentorship, leadership training, career planning and coaching, opportunities for networking, sponsorship, and targeted recruitment processes for increasing gender diversity in leadership roles. Conclusion. This review synthesises organisational-level strategies that advance women nurses in healthcare leadership. Barriers and individual-level strategies for advancing women nurses in healthcare leadership have been extensively studied in the current literature. Systems and organisational strategies are less studied yet show that they can advance women in nursing into healthcare leadership. Implications for Nursing Management. This paper suggests that optimising women nurses' leadership attainment needs to shift focus from individual strategies to systemic level and organisational strategies and use tailored evidenced-based approaches. A sizable group of superwealthy business elites have emerged in China, now home to the world's second-largest number of US dollar billionaires. Whereas existing studies highlight how large fortunes confer enormous power to their holders, this article shows, through an original data set on China's top business tycoons, that they often have trouble sustaining their absolute wealth or relative position. It argues that a key source of concentrated wealth's fragility in China is autonomous and unchecked state power. While the state's developmental orientation has limited predation and facilitated wealth accumulation, its discretion in economic and legal matters allows it to discipline and punish tycoons whose behaviors have contravened its priorities. Leveraging the intensification of state pressure after 2012, the article further finds that business networks among tycoons alleviate threats from the state. To examine the connectivity of educational and business institution networks and assess their resource accessibility, we have employed min-max fuzzy relation systems. This piece aims to delve into the outcomes resulting from various factors within a three-compartmental financial system. The research undergoes the dynamical max-min fuzzy solutions, which are expressed in an interval format. These solutions take into consideration variables such as the price index, interest rate, investment demand, fluctuations, cost per investment derived from saved funds, and the elasticity of market demand within the commercial sector. These variables are essential for comprehending the dynamics of the three-compartment financial system. It is difficult to obtain the entire set of solutions for the max-min fuzzy relation system using only minimal solutions. Some of these systems can be solved using optimized fuzzy relation models for both maximal and minimal solutions. Therefore, by converting the business market's financial system into a max-min fuzzy relation inequality, the strategy presented in this article tries to get the broadest and changing solution fluctuating between minimal and maximal solutions. With this suggested strategy for solving the problem, the limiting upper and lower values within which the given quantities fluctuate are identified. By measuring the breadth of the resulting interval, the range of fluctuation may be identified, giving a thorough insight into the system's behaviour. Due to the potential instability of market agents and their respective influences, fluctuations may occur in the demand, supply, and prices of indices in the financial system. Consequently, presenting the financial system in the format of the widest fuzzy interval solution can provide easily accessible information to the general public by illustrating the max-min fuzzy relation system of financial dynamics, outlining the necessary steps, and including a numerical example. Background: Quality Always' Clinical Assessment and Accreditation Scheme (CAAS), which consists of a process of assessments, reviews and accreditation in community healthcare services, was established in 2014 to drive improvements in the quality of patient care. The authors set out to understand whether the methodologies put in place to establish quality patient care were effective within the community nursing setting. Aims: To understand whether a quality and safe care champions network would support frontline community staff to embed evidence-based practice and affect the quality of care received by patients in the community setting. Method: A study was undertaken on data from the CAAS, as well as patient safety and experience data, to identify whether there was any correlation between quality and safe care champions and the quality of patient care. Findings: The authors identified data and practical examples to demonstrate a correlation between the engagement of champions in a community nursing team and improvement in quality standards for patients, including the most effective methods of engaging the community nursing quality and safe care champions. Conclusion: The authors conducted a benefits realisation exercise using elements of the East London NHS Foundation Trust's framework. This provided useful information for the community trust as a proof of concept regarding supporting a network of Quality and safe care champions in the community setting and understanding their impact on safe patient care. Background Physician networks (PNs) are a recent development in Germany, designed to improve the coordination and quality of healthcare. We compared the performance of PNs that use a standardized system of audit and feedback to that of regular care. Methods We analysed a large sample of claims data from Bavaria, Germany, using nearest-neighbour propensity score matching. Patients who had ambulatory care-sensitive conditions (ACSCs) and were enrolled in PNs were matched with control patients receiving regular care. We examined potentially avoidable hospitalizations related to the 13 most common ACSCs (primary endpoints), as well as processes-of-care indicators for disease prevention, pharmacotherapy and coordination of care. Results There were no significant differences in rates of potentially avoidable hospitalizations between the two groups. However, the networks showed higher vaccination rates, increased participation in disease management programmes, and more frequent use of referrals when consulting specialist physicians. On average, network patients visited a greater number of specialists and had lower continuity of care compared to patients receiving regular care. Polypharmacy and PRISCUS-list prescriptions were more prevalent in the networks. Conclusions PNs using audit and feedback do not appear to perform better than regular care in preventing hospitalizations due to ACSCs. However, they do perform better in disease prevention measures while showing inconclusive results for care coordination and pharmacotherapy. For learning to influence change in palliative clinical practice, education needs to be ongoing, incorporating specific interventions targeted to the learner, in a format that enhances knowledge and networking. This novel, online, interactive, case-based educational offering provided a method to allow ongoing integration of palliative care principles for health care professionals who attended the End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium/Open Medical Institute courses in Salzburg during 2019-2022. Eight monthly teleconferences based on challenging clinical cases allowed discussion between palliative care professionals from 9 countries, serving as a mechanism for deepening theoretical information, allowing incorporation of best practice into the clinical setting, and, ultimately, improving care for all with serious illness. Many of the challenges encountered providing palliative care are universal. Through case vignettes, the group has been able to offer specific interventions, advances in practice, and discussions of approaches toward family and other health care professionals to provide optimal care. The participants report that the opportunity to learn from and support peers in other countries has been a rewarding and emotionally uplifting experience. These discussions were highly rated by participants who strongly voiced that the interactions would change their clinical practice to positively impact patient care. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article provides aggregate data on credit flows in Santafé de Bogotá, the capital of the Viceroyalty of New Granada (present-day Colombia, Ecuador and western Venezuela). By perusing a thorough report submitted to Bourbon authorities on notarial transactions, which included both ecclesiastical and non-ecclesiastical loans in the city, the article estimates the volume and size of lending activity while exploring how distinct types of credit interacted and shaped the business milieu of the region. It argues that by the late 1770s, Catholic Church lending had ceased to be the main source of investable funds in the region, with merchants and other non-ecclesiastical investors injecting growing funds into sectors traditionally avoided by ecclesiastical lenders such as commerce, mining and manufacturing. Network analysis suggests that merchants became brokers between different credit sources, alleviating information asymmetries and opening the credit market to borrowers with collateral and institutional restrictions willing to pay higher interest rates. Finally, by focusing on New Granada, the largest gold producer of the Spanish Empire, the article identifies some distinctive credit patterns that are different from those developed in silver-driven economies such as New Spain and Peru. However, there are still many MSME players who have not utilized this technology. The purpose of this study is to analyze the stages of competitive intelligence strategies that can increase the competitiveness and success of MSME businesses. Analyze business intelligence implementation strategies in improving the competitiveness and success of MSME businesses. This research uses qualitative methods with a case study approach with SWOT analysis and Porter Theory. The focus of research will be carried out on MSMEs that have superior products in Palembang City, namely Songket and Pempek. The techniques used to collect data are: interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis in this study was carried out in 6 stages. The results of this study show that every MSME needs the right strategy that can include market development, or even strategic partnerships to overcome various threats and take advantage of opportunities in the Palembang MSME market by modernizing their business activities. The competitive strategy of MSME development intelligence to increase its competitiveness and business success includes local resources and expanding strong business networks, expanding marketing reach so that products will be better known by consumers, innovation in MSME business models, better decision making through knowledge and understanding of intelligence on data and information can provide excellence, and optimal MSME management such as data collection of all business activities which is more organized and planned. Obstacles and challenges from the implementation of competitive intelligence strategies in increasing the competitiveness and success of MSME businesses in the region, lack of technological knowledge and inability to compete in data utilization are threats that need to be overcome. Purpose: This paper aims to investigate which network relationships foster the early development of a sustainable new venture (SNV) and how sustainability as the core characteristic of the new venture shapes those network relationships. Design/methodology/approach: This paper relies on a qualitative approach. The primary data source is 25 interviews with 18 key informants of 15 Italian SNVs. The fashion industry is the empirical setting due to its negative environmental and social impacts and shifts toward sustainability during the past decade. Findings: The paper identifies six types of network relationships that affect the development of fashion SNVs. It proposes sustainability-enhanced and sustainability-enabled network relationships and relates them to trust and legitimation in the network. Research limitations/implications: The study enriches the theoretical debate on networks, new ventures and sustainability by dealing with the case of SNVs in a traditional sector. This paper presents managerial implications for entrepreneurs and policymakers. Social implications: This paper contributes to the debate on society's sustainable development by emphasizing how networks can affect the growth of SNVs. Purpose: This paper proposes the "fields and weapons of the competition model applied to business networks" – CAC-Redes (in Portuguese, Campos e Armas da Competição – Redes de negócio), an extension of the fields and weapons of the competition model (CAC) – to study the competition and competitiveness of companies operating in business networks in a competitive environment while integrating organizational competencies, interorganizational ties and company positioning to provide competitive advantage. Design/methodology/approach: CAC-Redes is born from the cross-fertilization process of various theoretical perspectives, namely, industrial organization, traditional view of operational activities and resources, relational view, strategic alignment, transaction cost theory and social perspectives in networks, structured according to systems theory and under the mantle of competitive advantage theory. To discover the structure of existing models of competitiveness in networks, a bibliographic search was conducted in the Scopus database. Quali-quantitative empirical research was undertaken in companies from six different economic sectors through structured questionnaires and personal interviews to understand how companies competed and discover the determining factors of their competitive advantage. Findings: Only seven models of competitiveness in network were found, and their structures and characteristics are quite different from those of CAC-Redes. Empirical research confirms all the hypotheses that support CAC-Redes, which, combined with those of CAC, indicate the CAC-Redes corroboration. Research limitations/implications: CAC-Redes does not apply to networks without intercompany competition, studies on network governance and corporate strategy formulation. Practical implications: CAC-Redes is effective in studying complex competitiveness phenomena because it considers multiple influences; provides a process based on qualitative and quantitative variables that increase the probability of formulating successful competitive strategies; simplifies the differentiation of skills from core competencies and determines them; proposes a competitive advantage criterion to select suppliers; creates a unifying language to represent the different strategic specificities of companies, competitors, suppliers, customers and the company environment and provides a library containing 181 weapons (resources) and dozens of interorganizational ties that can be used in empirical studies with other methodologies. Social implications: CAC-Redes, due to its originality and peculiarities, theoretically contributes to theory of resources because it dispenses with the assumption, "unique resource, source of competitive advantage"; to relational view because it considers interorganizational relationships as a competence and treats it quali-quantitatively and to core competencies because if the strategy changes, different core competencies will be needed. Furthermore, it is an alternative to the dynamic capabilities perspective, and it transforms the five manufacturing performance objectives into nine for the entire company. Originality/value: CAC-Redes is an original model because its structure and characteristics comparatively differ from those of existing models, and 14 singularities are detected. The bioeconomy is an essential part of the transition from a linear to a circular production model, which repositions production systems to favour sustainability and innovation. There are two main contributors to the development of this process: the choices made by public decision‐makers (national and European), and the strategies adopted by companies and the recent increased diffusion of new business networks and clusters in Europe, which favour industrial and technological transformation processes. We move from analysis of the international context and how Italy's positioning in the new circular bioeconomy is evolving to focus on the diffusion of business clusters and networks in Europe linked to the circular bioeconomy to propose a preliminary empirical study of corporate behaviour. For this we use survey data on Italian bio‐industries that are part of the cluster SPRING (Sustainable Processes and Resources for Innovation and National Growth). This study examines the impact of technology and network externalities on exchange-listed Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs). Utilising an online database comprising of self-reported ICO characteristics, measures of post-ICO performance, along with information on business social networks, higher fundraising figures are found to contribute positively to the ICOs long-term success. This positive impact is multiplied by six times when fundraising is conducted to an existing, proprietary blockchain. This is explained by the network effect. The modified information ratio measure is used to approximate the quality signalling of ICO organisations using price time series and benchmarking these to already functioning blockchain technology, e.g. ethereum in the long term. The ICO sample's mean trading period on an exchange is 1.5 years and is used for long-period asset analysis. The exponential growth of the fifth-generation (5G) network gives businesses and universities a chance to turn their attention to the next-generation network. It is widely acknowledged that many IoT devices require more than 5G to send various types of data in real-time. In addition to 5G, several research centres are currently concentrating on 6G, which is expected to produce networks with great quality of service (QoS) and energy efficiency. Future application requirements will necessitate a significant upgrade in mobile network architecture. 6G technologies offer larger networks with lower latency and faster data transmission than 5G networks. This review presents a comprehensive overview of 6G networks which includes the novel architectural changes within 6G networks, recent research insights from diverse institutions, applications within the realm of 6G networks, and the key features associated with them. We also explored various technologies of 6G networks encompassing terahertz, visible light connectivity, blockchain, and symbiotic broadcasting, all of which contribute to the establishment of robust and socially integrated network structures. In this survey, we have focused on 6G network slices and discussed a detailed exploration of security and privacy concerns regarding the potential 6G technologies at the levels of physical infrastructure, connecting protocols, and service provisions, alongside an evaluation of current security strategies. The article analyzes the content and production networks of the book "Morokoshi meisho zue" in Osaka and Kyoto, Japan and considers the social and political implications of the cultural and aesthetic fascination with Qing China in late Tokugawa Japan. It offers information on the bibliography of Chinese imperial books on which "Morokoshi meisho zue" was based, its reproduction and interpretation. It reviews the Chinese poetry in the book and the influence of cultural climate on its content.
