Abstract

There are many factors influencing enterprises' behaviors, which are traditionally studied with qualitative economics and sociological methods. This paper brings a new technique into enterprise behaviors study. Through investigating the input and output of an enterprise, transfer matrix is used to describe behavior characteristics of the enterprise. The way to get the transfer matrix is introduced. It is proved practicable and efficient by a real-data experiments. Be there adequate history data of an enterprise, transfer matrix is possible to depict its behavior characteristics accurately enough.

Abstract

Aim High-resolution magic-angle spinning proton nuclear magnetic resonance (HRMAS 1H NMR) spectroscopy technique was employed to analyze the metabonomic characterizations of lung cancer tissues in hope to identify potential diagnostic biomarkers for malignancy detection and staging research of lung tissues. Methods HRMAS 1H NMR spectroscopy technique can rapidly provide important information for accurate diagnosis and staging of cancer tissues owing to its noninvasive nature and limited requirement for the samples, and thus has been acknowledged as an excellent tool to investigate tissue metabolism and provide a more realistic insight into the metabonomics of tissues when combined with multivariate data analysis (MVDA) such as component analysis and orthogonal partial least squares-discriminant analysis in particular. Results HRMAS 1H NMR spectra displayed the metabonomic differences of 32 lung cancer tissues at the different stages from 32 patients. The significant changes ( P < 0.05) of some important metabolites such as lipids, aspartate and choline-containing compounds in cancer tissues at the different stages had been identified. Furthermore, the combination of HRMAS 1H NMR spectroscopy and MVDA might potentially and precisely provided for a high sensitivity, specificity, prediction accuracy in the positive identification of the staging for the cancer tissues in contrast with the pathological data in clinic. Conclusion This study highlighted the potential of metabonomics in clinical settings so that the techniques might be further exploited for the diagnosis and staging prediction of lung cancer in future. 210. Novel bonding patterns and optoelectronic properties of the two-dimensional SixCy monolayers.

Abstract

The search for new two-dimensional (2D) materials with novel optical and electronic properties is always desirable for material development. Herein, we report a comprehensive theoretical prediction of 2D SiC compounds with different stoichiometries from C-rich to Si-rich. In addition to the previously known hexagonal SiC sheet, we identified two types of hitherto-unknown structural motifs with distinctive bonding features. The first type of 2D SiC monolayer, including t-SiC and t-Si2C sheet, can be described by tetragonal lattice. Among them, t-SiC monolayer sheet is featured by each carbon atom binding with four neighboring silicon atoms in almost the same plane, constituting a quasi-planar four-coordinated rectangular moiety. More interestingly, our calculations demonstrate that this structure exhibits a strain-dependent insulator–semimetal transition, suggesting promising applications in strain-dependent optoelectronic sensors. The second type of 2D SiC sheet is featured by silagraphyne with acetylenic linkages (–C≡C–). Silagraphyne shows both high pore sizes and Poisson's ratio. These properties make it a potentially important material for applications in separation membranes and catalysis. Moreover, one of the proposed structures, γ-silagraphyne, is a direct-band-gap semiconductor with a bandgap of 0.89 eV, which has a strong absorption peak in the visible-light region, giving a promising application in ultra-thin transistors, optical sensor devices and solar cell devices. Abstract

Terahertz time domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) combined with chemometrics has been utilized for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of binary mixtures of l -glutamic acid and l -glutamine which have similar chemical structures and properties. The binary mixtures of amino acids were prepared with yellow foxtail millet matrix, substituted for polyethylene (PE) as previously reported. After proper pretreatment of absorption spectra, quantitative analysis was achieved by partial least squares (PLS) and interval partial least squares (iPLS) regressions. The performance of models was evaluated based on the root mean square error of prediction (RMSEP) and correlation coefficient (R 2 ) of cross-validations with bootstrapped Latin partitions as criterion. The iPLS yielded better results with low RMSEP (0.39 ± 0.02%, 0.39 ± 0.02%), and higher R 2 values (0.9904, 0.9906) for glutamine and glutamic acid comparing to the conventional PLS models. Multivariate curve resolution alternating least squares (MCR-ALS) was successfully applied for resolution of pure THz spectra and concentration profiles of two amino acids components from mixtures.
