Abstract

A certain scale of Yan 9 reservoir was found in Zhao'an area, but the oil source is not clear. The geochemical characteristics of Yan 9 crude oil and potential source rocks were analyzed by using gas chromatograph-mass method. Analysis results showed that the parent materials of Yan 9 crude oil were sourced from lower aquatic organism and higher terrigenous plants and formed in freshwater- brackish water lacustrine facies. Oil-source correlation results showed that Yan 9 crude oil was derived from the source rocks of Chang 7. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Oncogenesis and metastasis of tumor are difficult to detect during the clinic therapy. To explore the optical properties of tumorigenesis and metastasis in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), we assessed the NPC cell lines 5-8F and 6-10B by optical coherence tomography (OCT): first, the OCT images of the two different types of cell pellets were captured. Second, by fitting Beer's law to the averaged A-scans in these OCT datasets, the attenuation coefficients (μt) of the cells were extracted. The median attenuation coefficients (interquartile range (IQR)) of 5-8F and 6-10B were 6.79 mm-1 (IQR 6.52 to 7.23 mm-1) versus 8.06 mm-1 (IQR 7.65 to 8.40 mm-1), respectively (p < 0.01, df = 39). Subsequently, the results were compared with those obtained by polarization sensitive OCT, which further confirmed that the quantitative OCT analysis (by μt) could differentiate the oncogenesis and metastasis NPC cell lines in real time non-invasively. Abstract

Traditional spectroscopic analysis based on the Beer-Lambert law cannot analyze the analyte with high concentration and interference between different compositions, such as the electrolyte in vanadium redox flow batteries (VRBs). Here we propose a new method for online detection of such analytes. We demonstrate experimentally that, by comparing the transmittance spectrum of the analyte with the spectra in a preprepared database using our intensity-corrected correlation coefficient (ICCC) algorithm, parameters such as the state of charge (SOC) of both the positive and the negative electrolytes in the VRB can be online monitored. This method could monitor the level of the electrolytes imbalance in the VRB, which is useful for further rebalancing the electrolyte and restoring the capacity loss of the VRB. The method also has the potential to be used in the online detection of other chemical reactions, in which the chemical reagents have high concentration and interferences between different compositions.

Highlights include development of a large and deep oral aphthous ulceration, clinical manifestations and clinical course in the patient, and the novel co-pathogenic factor of BD and MDS.
