Successful treatment by thalidomide therapy of intestinal Behçet's disease associated with trisomy 8 myelodysplastic syndrome.

The article describes a case of intestinal Behcet's disease (BD) in a 52-year-old woman associated with myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) involving trisomy 8 responsive to thalidomide. Highlights include development of a large and deep oral aphthous ulceration, clinical manifestations and clinical course in the patient, and the novel co-pathogenic factor of BD and MDS.
