The purpose of this study is to present students' experiences, interest in engineering, and personal narratives while participating in a robotics summer camp in a metropolitan city in Turkey. In this study, I used qualitative data collection methods such as interviews, field notes, and observations. I used the four principles of Engle and Conant as a framework for analyzing their interactions and tasks as well as to make sense of their mutual interactions, tasks, and social structure in the robotics summer camp. The study findings indicated that the robotics summer camp was different from regular science classrooms in terms of goals, practical work, and social structure. The robotics summer camp provided students with the opportunity to engage in robotics activities and have personal interactions with engineering researchers about engineering and their future career plans. The robot design experience and close relationships with engineering professionals at the camp were sources that nurtured and maintained student interest in engineering. I concluded that the robotics summer camp was a venue for students to gain first-hand experiences, develop and sustain interest in engineering, and comprehend the nature of engineering in general. This in turn helped students to determine their career choice and sustain a lifelong interest in engineering.

The current zeitgeist in language teacher education dwells on teacher identity regarding it as one of the big buzzwords to explore and critically reflect teacher qualities from a socio-cognitive perspective. Drawing from this current trend, the research intended to disambiguate three English language instructors’ sense of self-efficacy, perceptions, professional identity and professional competence in one of the most established and prestigious state universities in the country through the qualitative case study method. After selecting ESP practitioners following convenience sampling, autobiographies, informal dialogues, classroom observations, opening interviews, post-observation interviews, and field notes were utilized to gather data. Having scrutinized the professional identities of instructors through the lens of self-efficacy beliefs, perceptions, and professional competence, the study exposed that professional competence came to the fore being the best mediator to gain awareness of professional teacher identity. However, self-efficacy did not subserve as a predictor in exploring the complexity of teacher identity due to discordance with perceptions and realities of identity issues. Finally, some suggestions for further considerations were stated to be operationalized within the EFL context of in-service language teacher education.

Dark Triad is an umbrella term that involves sub-clinical psychopathy, narcissism and machiavellianism. According to the researches studying the related factors about the development of Dark Triad, there may be a relationship within the environmental, biological and genetic factors and dark triad personality traits. The aim of this study is to examine both Dark Triad personality traits and the researches about the role of genetic in the development of Dark Triad’s three types. In this direction, this research examines family, twin and candidate gene studies about the hereditary components of Dark Triad, narcissism, psychopathy and Machiavellianism. Also, researches examining the genetic components of some personality traits known to be related to the Dark Triad are included. It is seen that all three sub-personality types are affected by genetic factors; the hereditary characteristics of psychopathy and narcissism are more than Machiavellianism; among the three personality types, the personality type that is most affected by environmental factors is Machiavellianism; and the personality traits related to the Dark Triad can also be determined by some genetic factors according to reviewed studies.

Amaç: Bu araştırma üniversite öğrencilerinde büyüklenmeci narsizim düzeyinin akademik potansiyel memnuniyetine etkisini incelemek amacı ile yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem:Kesitsel tipteki araştırmanın evrenini, 2020-2021 eğitim-öğretim yılına devam eden kamuya ait iki üniversite de öğrenim gören (İslami İlimler Fakültesi, Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi) toplam 1766 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Basit rastgele örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak toplam 631 öğrenci ile araştırma yürütülmüştür.Verilerin toplanmasında “Sosyo-demografik Veri Formu, Narsistik Hayranlık ve Rekabet Ölçeği ve Akademik Potansiyele Yönelik İnanç ve Duygular Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Öğrencilerin Narsistik Hayranlık ve Rekabet Ölçeği toplam puan ortalaması 43.76±14.70, alt boyut puan ortalamaları Hayranlık için 21.19±7.02, Rekabet için 22.56±8.25; Akademik Potansiyele Yönelik İnanç ve Duygular Ölçeği toplam puan ortalaması 45.44±14.82, alt boyut puan ortalamaları Akademik Potansiyel Memnuniyeti için 20.83±7.64, Algılanan Akademik Potansiyeli için 24.60±8.08 olarak bulunmuştur. Sonuç: Erken yaşlarda önemli bir başarı elde etmek ve saygın bir mesleğe sahip olmak için ilk adımları atmak yaşamda önemli bir deneyimdir. Bu bağlamda daha genç yaşlarda narsistik eğilimlere sahip olmak ve akademik başarı memnuniyetinin yüksekliği beklendik bir sonuçtur. Her ne kadar büyüklenmeci narsizm akademik potansiyelden memnuniyetin beklenen bir sonucu gibi görünse de bu araştırmada bazı sosyo-demografik özelliklerinde akademik potansiyel ve narsizmi yordama da önemli olabileceği düşünülmektedir. Bu bağlamda bahsi geçen yordayıcıları inceleyen ayrıntılı akademik çalışmalara gereksinim duyulmaktadır.

Kur’an uzun yıllar harf yöntemi üzere öğretilmiştir. Harf yönteminde Arap alfabesindeki harflerin isimleri ezberletildikten sonra hareke ve işaretlerin öğretimine geçilmektedir. Bu yönteme alternatif olarak zamanla hece yöntemi geliştirilmiş, harfler isimleri ezberletilmeden doğrudan üstün harekeli sesleri ile öğretilmiştir. Son yıllarda ise bu iki usulden farklı olarak ses temelli elifbâ yöntemi kullanılmaya başlanmıştır. Bu yöntem 2005 yılından itibaren Türkçe öğretiminde benimsenen sesi esas alan ilk okuma yazma öğretimi yöntemiyle örtüşmektedir. Her iki öğretim yönteminde de harflerin tek tek öğretilmesi, her sesin öğretiminde ses öğren-me aşamalarına uyulması, derslerin sınıfça yapılması, öğrenilen harflerle oluşturulmuş hece ve kelimelerin ilk günden itibaren okunması gibi temel prensipler benimsenmektedir. Bu çalış-manın amacı ses temelli elifbâ yöntemini uygulayarak Kur’an öğretiminin nasıl yapılabileceğini ortaya koymak ve usulün Kur’an’ın doğru seslerle öğrenilmesine yönelik özgün yönlerine dikkat çekmektir. Zira Kur’an’ın doğru öğretilmesi öğreticinin alan bilgisi ve öğretmenlik bece-risi ile yakından ilgili olmakla birlikte kullanılacak elifbâ ve uygulanacak usul, hedefe daha sistemli ve daha hızlı ulaşmada önemlidir. Nitel yöntemin kullanıldığı araştırmada durum çalışması deseni uygulanmıştır. Çalışmanın öncelikli verileri proje asistanlığını yürüttüğüm Ses Temelli Elifbâ, yazarları arasında olduğum editörlü kitap çalışması olan Kur’an-ı Kerim Öğre-timinde Yeni Bir Yaklaşım: Ses Temelli Elifbâ ve Tecvit Yöntemi isimli eser ve Diyanet TV’de yayınlanan yapım koordinatörlüğünü üstlendiğim otuz bölümlük Çocuğuz Kur’an Okuyoruz programıdır. Ayrıca yöntemin uygulanabilirliğini görebilmek için derslerinde Ses Temelli Elifbâ’yı kullanan sekiz öğretici ile mülakatlar yapılmıştır. Araştırma Ankara Sosyal Bilimler Üniversitesi Rektörlüğü Sosyal ve Beşeri Bilimler Araştırmaları ve Bilimsel Yayın Etik Kuru-lundan 8 Temmuz 2021 tarihinde 12450 sayılı karar ile etik onay almıştır. Ses temelli elifbâ yönteminde asıl olan Kur’an’ın doğru seslendirilmesidir. Elifbâda harfler Kur’an’da geçiş sıklığı ve mahrecinin zorluk derecesi dikkate alınarak klasik alfabe sıralamasından farklı olarak sıra-lanmış ve altı gruba ayrılmıştır. Her harf ayrı bir derste, harekeli ا desteği ile cezimli olarak (اَلْ, اِلْ, اُلْ gibi) öğretilmektedir. Öğretim sırasında ses öğrenme aşamalarına dikkat edilmekte, öğ-rencinin önce öğreneceği harfin sesini hissetmesi, diğer harf seslerinden ayırt etmesi daha sonra da mümkün olduğunca doğru mahrecinden seslendirmesi beklenmektedir. Ses temelli elifbâ yönteminde harfin şeklinin öğretimi ise harfin sesinin telaffuz edilmesinden sonraya bırakılmaktadır. Harflerin şekillerinin öğretimi sırasında harfin kelime içerisinde yazılırken hiç değişmeyen kısmına vurgu yapılmakta ve harfin şeklinin öğrencinin zihninde yer edebilmesi için yazıdan istifade edilmektedir. Ses temelli elifbâ öğretiminde ilk harfin öğretilmesinden itibaren her ders Kur’an’dan okuma çalışmaları yapılmaktadır. Elifbâ öğretimi sırasında önce-likli olarak gösterip yaptırma yöntemi olmak üzere eğitici oyun, soru cevap ve anlatım yönte-minden istifade edilmektedir. Böylelikle Ses Temelli Elifbâ’nın öğretimi kırk derslik bir sürece yayılmaktadır. Araştırma bulguları ses temelli elifbâ yönteminin sesi esas alan okuma yazma öğretimi yöntemi ile benzer özelliklere sahip olduğunu fakat Arapçanın dil yapısı sebebiyle kendine özgü yönler taşıdığını ortaya koymuştur. Harflerin öğretiminde benimsenen önce harfin harekeli ا destekli cezimli okunuşu ile öğretilmesi daha sonra harfin şeklinin gösterilme-si bu özgünlükler arasındadır. Nitekim öğreticiler de benimsenen bu seslendirme yönteminin doğru seslerin öğrenilmesini kolaylaştırdığı, harflerin ses öğrenme aşamalarından riayet edile-rek öğretilmesinin ders verimini artırdığı görüşündedir. Öğreticilerin çoğu tecvîd seslerinin elifbâda öğretiminin olumlu yönüne dikkat çekerken öğreticilerden biri bunu gerekli görme-miştir. Öğretici görüşleri ses temelli elifbâ yönteminin çevrimiçi derslerde verim bir şekilde uygulanabileceği fakat öğretmen öğrenci ilişkisinin sınıf ortamına kıyasla olumsuz yönde etkilendiği yönündedir. Öğreticilerin tamamı derslerde kullanılan materyaller ile gösterip yaptırma ve eğitici oyun yöntemlerinin dersin niteliğini arttırdığını ifade etmekte; Çocuğuz Kur’an Okuyoruz programının kendileri için önemli bir kaynak olduğunu dile getirmektedirler.

The European Landscape Convention promotes the protection, management and planning of landscapes and organises international co-operation on landscape issues. Member states committed to implement measures such as promoting social education about landscapes. The convention stated that, although it was part of the education curricula in some countries, landscape education was to be expanded from a multidisciplinary perspective. The Education Act in force in Spain in 2008 (LOE, 2007), when the convention was ratified, included landscape in the syllabus, but not from as broad a perspective as that reflected in the ELC. Later education reforms have gradually increased the presence of the landscape in school curricula. This study examines landscape-related knowledge and awareness among current trainee primary school teachers, whose whole education has occurred under the umbrella of the ELC. This aims to assess whether the ELC’s targets have been met in terms of social awareness of landscape issues. A mixed questionnaire was designed, validated, and implemented in a sample of 322 students studying subjects related to the teaching of geography. The answers were analysed with descriptive and inferential statistics. The results reflect poor landscape-related knowledge and awareness, suggesting that the educational measures implemented since the ratification of the ELC have not been successful.

Mothers who had preterm labor were expected to face difficulties with baby care during the postnatal period. This study aimed to review studies on difficulties experienced by mothers who had premature labor regarding childcare at home during the postnatal period. The literature review was carried out between 2000 and 2019 in databases of PubMed, Medline, CINAHL, Cochrane library, ULAKBIM, Google Scholar, and EMBASE. Mothers who had preterm labor experienced difficulties with diaper use, bathing, umbilical cord care, baby feeding, skin-to-skin contact, and recognition of newborn crying. Therefore, mothers need the support of health professionals for the health status of the newborn and their lack of self-confidence regarding baby care. However, the lack of home care guidelines leaves mothers helpless in meeting these needs. Mothers should be ready for the care of babies born preterm. For this reason, mothers who had preterm labor should be informed about the potential difficulties during their stay in the hospital. Mothers also need to be educated about the care of infants born preterm in the postnatal period. Thus, mothers can experience the home care process positively by becoming fully prepared to take the responsibility for home care. Developing clinical guidelines for postnatal care of babies born preterm can help reduce the concerns of mothers, shorten hospital stay, and reduce morbidity risks.

Background: We aimed to study the characteristics of peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients with Coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19), determine the short-term mortality and other medical complications, and delineate the factors associated with COVID-19 outcome. Methods: In this multicenter national study, we included PD patients with confirmed COVID-19 from 27 centers. The baseline demographic, clinical, laboratory, and radiological data and outcomes at the end of the first month were recorded. Results: We enrolled 142 COVID-19 patients (median age:52 years). 58.2% of patients had mild disease at diagnosis. Lung involvement was detected in 60.8% of patients. 83 (58.4%) patients were hospitalized, 31 (21.8%) patients were admitted to intensive care unit and 24 needed mechanical ventilation. 15 (10.5%) patients were switched to hemodialysis and hemodiafiltration was performed for four (2.8%) patients. Persisting pulmonary symptoms (n=27), lower respiratory system infection (n=12), rehospitalization for any reason (n=24), malnutrition (n=6), hypervolemia (n=13), peritonitis (n=7), ultrafiltration failure (n=7) and in PD modality change (n=8) were reported in survivors. 26 patients (18.31%) died in the first month of diagnosis. The non-survivor group was older, comorbidities were more prevalent. Fever, dyspnea, cough, serious-vital disease at presentation, bilateral pulmonary involvement, and pleural effusion were more frequent among non-survivors. As is also labelled as online learning or e-learning, Web-based learning (WBL) has recently come to the forefront in language education thanks to a huge number of online teaching practices the pandemic has induced as well as the new platforms and some applications accommodating language studies. As such, the current research has been orchestrated to review prestigious academic papers on WBL in ELT published in flagship journals from the years 2015 to 2020. Moreover, it has aimed at clarifying the recent trends on e-learning platforms. Accordingly, 20 empirical research with quantitative, qualitative, or mixed designs indexed in Clarivate Analytics (Thomson Reuters) were incorporated into the study. Having meticulously investigated them particularly considering the education context, participants, and the methods, the researcher found out that an overwhelming majority of the studies were administered in higher education context according to mixed and quantitative research designs. Furthermore, the research on online learning platforms was heavily related to one of the macro skills (i.e. writing) besides listening and vocabulary to a degree. Another fundamental result was the limited number of studies employing blended learning contexts enriched with authentic activities which would make learners use higher-order thinking skills in the digital world. Finally, some suggestions have been offered to future directions in order to enhance the creativity in WBL research.

Introduction: The aim of this study is to determine the frequency of Hepatitis b virus (HBV) serological groups in Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and to compare the demographic characteristics and frequency of parenteral therapies between patient groups with and without previous HBV infection. Methods: Charts of RA patients were examined retrospectively. HBsAg, anti-HBc IgG, and anti-HBs test results were screened. All participants were divided into 3 serological groups (patients naive to HBV infection, previous HBV infection, vaccinated). Those with previous HBV infection were further divided into 3 serological subgroups (naturally immune, anti-HBc IgG positive only, chronic HBV infection). Findings were compared between RA patients with and without previous HBV infection. Results: Four hundred and fifty-one patients (female/male: 343/108) were included. The prevalence of patients naive to HBV infection, with previous HBV infection and vaccinated were 59.4%, 33.7%, and 6.9%, respectively. The prevalence of patients with naturally immune, anti-HBc IgG positive only, and chronic HBV infection were 25.7%, 4.4%, and 3.5%, respectively. Aim:The purpose of this study was to examine whether web-based diabetes education is effective in improving metabolic control, self-efficacy for diabetes self-management, and quality of life in adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus in Turkey.Materials and Methods:This study was conducted with adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus who were registered in the pediatric endocrinology polyclinic of a university hospital in the western region of Turkey. A total of 32 were included in the control group who received diabetes education in a clinical setting, and 30 were included in the intervention group who received web-based diabetes education. Although the adolescents in the control group received standard medical care as usual, with no participation on the website, those in the intervention group were also educated on diabetes management by using the web site.Results:For self-efficacy, a statistically significant difference between the groups was found. Regarding the group, time, and group-time interaction for quality of life, a statistically significant difference was found between the mean scores of the groups. Web-based education was found to be effective in increasing the quality-of-life mean scores when compared with the standard care provided for the adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus, with the intervention group having a higher quality of life than the control group.Conclusion:We found that the web-based diabetes education program had no effect on A1C levels, but the education model effectively increased the self-efficacy and quality of life of adolescents with diabetes.

In this paper, we consider contact Hamiltonian description of 1D frictional dynamics with no conserved force. Friction forces that are monomials of velocity, and sum of two monomials are considered. For that purpose, quite general forms of contact Hamiltonians are taken into account. We conjecture that it is impossible to give a contact Hamiltonian description dissipative systems where the friction force is not in the form considered in this paper.

Aim: Dentists and their patients were at high risk for COVID-19 infection. As websites serve as a primary information source for many, this cross-sectional study aimed to assess the validity and reliability of information provided by websites regarding COVID-19 and dentistry. Materials and Methods: An online search was conducted on Google.com using the keywords 'SARS CoV-2 and dentistry', 'COVID-19 and dentistry' and 'Coronavirus and dentistry'. The first 50 websites for each keyword were screened in incognito mode. After excluding duplicates, inaccessible and irrelevant websites, 88 websites remained for analysis. These websites were evaluated using the Health on the Net Foundation Code of Conduct (HON code) and the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) benchmarks, which assess authorship, attribution, disclosure and currency of information. Descriptive statistical analyses, chi-square tests and one-way ANOVA were performed. Results: A total of 88 websites were found suitable for quality assessment. Only three of the websites had HON code accreditation. The mean JAMA benchmark score was 3.75 ± 0.7. The majority of the websites (62.5%) were academic, with a JAMA score of 3.84 ± 0.5. News and non-profit sites had the highest JAMA scores (4.0). Significant differences in JAMA scores were observed across different types of websites (p <.05). Conclusions: The study found that the quality of websites providing information about COVID-19 and dentistry was generally high, especially among academic sites. This highlights the importance of high-quality online information to ensure that dentists and patients have access to accurate and reliable data during the pandemic. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Childhood trauma is a serious form of stress that makes individuals more vulnerable to developing Schizophrenia (SCZ). Many studies have predicted the association between the catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT) gene Val158Met variant and aggressive attack. We aimed to investigate the association the COMT variant and childhood trauma on aggression in Turkish SCZ patientsThis study included 89 patients diagnosed with SCZ. Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTS) and Overt Aggression Scale (OAS) were used to assess childhood trauma and aggression. COMT Val158Met variant was analyzed by PCR-RFLP method from isolated DNAs.There was no statistically significant difference in comparing the COMT genotype distribution and clinical characteristics including suicide attempts, self-destructive behavior, crime history, substance, alcohol and tobacco use. When we evaluate Spearman's rank correlation coefficients between CTQ and OAS, the correlation between the OAS and CTQ scores of the patients was statistically significant except for the sexual abuse subgroup of the CTQ. In the univariate logistic regression analysis, in which the dichotomized OAS score was accepted as the dependent variable, it was found that age, suicide attempt, substance abuse, and CTQ total score significantly predicted the higher OAS scores. In the multivariate logistic regression analysis, which included the variables that predicted OAS significantly, age, suicide attempt, and total CTQ score were determined as independent variables predicting OAS.Because of the phenotypic complexity in SCZ, it is difficult to draw strong conclusions about COMT and to highlight a definitive relationship. Background: Multiple factors, including neurobiological, hormonal, psychological, and social/cultural norms, influence the manner in which individuals experience pain. Adipose tissue, once considered solely an energy storage site, has been recognized as a significant endocrine organ that produces and releases a range of hormones and cytokines. In recent years, research has highlighted the role of adipose tissue and its endocrine factors in the pathophysiology of pain. Summary: This narrative review aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of the current knowledge on the endocrine aspects of pain pathophysiology, with a specific focus on adipose tissue. We examine the role of adipokines released by adipose tissue, such as leptin, adiponectin, resistin, visfatin, asprosin in pain perception and response. We also explore the clinical implications of these findings, including the potential for personalized pain management based on endocrine factors and adipose tissue. Key Messages: Overall, given this background, this review intended to highlight the importance of understanding the endocrine aspects of pain pathophysiology, particularly focusing on the role of adipose tissue, in the development of chronic pain and adipokines. Better understanding the role of adipokines in pain modulation might have therapeutic implications by providing novel targets for addressing underlying mechanism rather than directly focusing on symptoms for chronic pain, particularly in obese individuals. Nine red macroalgae (Amphiroa rigida, Gracilaria bursa-pastoris, Gracilaria gracilis, Grateloupia torture, Jania rubens, Laurencia obtusa, Laurencia pyramidalis, Liagora viscida, and Pterocladiella capillaries) were collected from coastal waters of Türkiye, and their proximate, fatty acid, soluble carbohydrate, and mineral profiles were investigated in the present study. According to the results, the crude protein content of the samples was between 4% and 23.8%, and four of the samples (G. turuturu, L. obtusa, L. pyramidalis, and P. capillacea) contained more than 10% protein. The crude lipid content of all the samples was below 1.6%, and the total carbohydrate content was between 38.3% and 76.9%. The macroalgae samples were generally richer in saturated fatty acids, palmitic acid being the most abundant, whereas G. gracilis had the highest content of unsaturated fatty acids (55.8%). All samples exhibited high contents of myo-inositol or glucose. Also, the samples generally had a good composition of minerals. Still, the heavy metal (i.e., Pb and Cd) content of Gracilaria gracilis was higher (59.6 µg/kg, P < 0.05) than those of the other algae samples. This study provides valuable insight into the chemical composition and fatty acid, mineral, and soluble carbohydrate profiles of Amphiroa rigida, Gracilaria bursa-pastoris, Gracilaria gracilis, Grateloupia turuturu, Jania rubens, Laurencia obtusa, Laurencia pyramidalis, Liagora viscida, and Pterocladiella capillacea from Türkiye. Background: The main purposes of the nursing profession are to protect and improve health and to prevent and heal diseases. It is crucial to investigate the factors that can influence nurses' ability to enhance their performance in their professional lives and conduct the nursing care process more qualitatively and effectively. Objective: This study aimed to examine the association between emotional intelligence and compassionate communication in nurses. Methods: This cross-sectional and descriptive study was conducted with 140 nurses working in various units of the public hospital in Kilis, Turkey. Data were collected through a demographic information form, Emotional Intelligence Scale, and Compassionate Communication Scale. Results: It was determined that nurses' emotional intelligence and compassionate communication were above average. A significant association was found between nurses' emotional intelligence and compassionate communication (F = 16.08, P <.001) and emotional intelligence explains 10% of the variance in compassionate communication (R = 0.323, R 2 = 0.104). Conclusions: Emotional intelligence and compassionate communication should be taken into consideration so that nurses can recognize and understand patients' emotions, alleviate their hurt, and deliver delicate, kind, and compassionate care. A deep learning artificial neural network model developed in Tensorflow using the ReLU function is presented in this paper to determine the effect of nine different input parameters on the mechanical strength of self-compacting geopolymer concrete (SGC). With the application of the above model, it has been observed that the convergence outcome of our model is predicted with minimum error. The novelty of our model is the ReLU function which improves the accuracy of the results. Our study presents a systematic investigation of the compressive strength, flexural strength, and tensile strengths of SGC depending upon nine vital parameters, such as GFS, Fly ash, NaOH, Na2SiO3 content, Age of specimens, Slump Value, T50, L Box and J Ring value as input. A large number of experiments were conducted to prepare a comprehensive database of the mechanical strength of Flyash-GFS-based SGC. The database has a total of 396 samples which were collected from 132 distinct mixtures, where the minimum and maximum compressive strength value is 7.7 Mpa and 66.7 Mpa, respectively. For the prediction based on deep learning, authors have performed an adequate number of iterations for both training and testing using error estimation parameters such as mean absolute error (MAE), mean square error (MSE), and root mean square error (RMSE). The error parameter values for the compressive strength of SGC are 2.42, 2.94 and 1.07, respectively, for MAE, RMSE and MSE. Perinatal clavicular fracture is the most common birth injury that may cause neonatal morbidities such as obstetric brachial palsy (OBP) ranging from 0.2 to 3.5%. We aimed to compare the relationship between perinatal clavicular fracture and induced vaginal delivery. All the live births and the neonatal outpatient clinic admissions between June 2016 and December 2022 have been investigated retrospectively. A total of 185 newborn infants with a mean gestational age of 38.3±1.6 weeks and a mean birth weight of 3,451±430.10 grams were enrolled. When compared to all in-born live births, the overall incidence of clavicular fracture was 0.78%. One hundred eighty-one (97.8%) infants were born vaginally and 4 (2.2%) were born by cesarean sections (C-sections). The incidence of clavicular fracture among in-born vaginally delivered infants was 1.26% (n=153) and among C-section deliveries was 0.04% (n=3). In vaginal deliveries, 54.7% (n=99) had prolonged labor, 71.8% (n=130) had received labor induction and 7.7% (n=14) had a history of instrumental intervention. A statistically significant relationship was found between clavicular fracture and prolonged labor, labor induction, increased birth weight, and low Apgar scores (p<0.001). While 21 infants (11.4%) had cephalohematoma, 8 infants (4.3%) presented with symptoms of OBP. Although high birth weight, prolonged labor, and ventouse delivery are the already known major risk factors for neonatal clavicular fractures, induced vaginal delivery has been defined as a new and important risk factor. Induction of labor should be decided when the benefits of immediate delivery outweigh the risks of continuing the pregnancy for fetal and maternal health. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Under the aim of this paper, we establish the terms of graphs related with bitonic-algebras, which is a bitonic-graph where the vertices are the elements of bitonic algebra and where the edges are the companian of two vertices, that is two elements from bitonic algebra. We designate the upper sets of elements in a bitonic algebra and studied properties of these sets. We state algorithms to check whether the given set is a bitonic algebra or a commutative bitonic algebra or not. Additionally, we mention the codes of these algorithms. Herein, a new energy cycle called the "hydrogen iodide (HI) cycle" is proposed that involves the repeated generation of solar hydrogen and battery power. Solar hydrogen generation using an HI solution allows for the use of a narrow‐bandgap photocatalyst. It is demonstrated that the addition of single‐walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) effectively enhances solar hydrogen generation from HI solution with methylammonium lead iodide. Electron microscopy observations and spectroscopic experiments reveal that SWCNTs improve hydrogen generation by adsorbing byproduct iodine molecules. Additionally, a zinc‐iodine battery, utilizing paper I@SWCNTs recovered from the photocatalyst test cell and zinc metal, operates efficiently with an initial cell voltage of approximately 1.2 V. The battery's capacity, corresponding to the amount of encapsulated iodine molecules, indicates that SWCNTs can effectively adsorb the byproduct iodine molecules within the photocatalyst test cell. It is also discussed that the electrolyte solution after the discharge experiment should include iodide ions, indicating that the solution after battery discharge returns to the starting point of the "HI cycle." Raman measurements reveal that I@SWCNTs are transformed back into empty tubes during the discharge experiment.
