A new catalyst, Sm2NdSbO7, was synthesized for the first time by solid-phase sintering. The study utilized X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscope energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy to examine the structural characteristics of monocrystal BiDyO3, monocrystal Sm2NdSbO7 and Sm2NdSbO7/BiDyO3 heterojunction photocatalysts (SBHP) prepared by solid-phase sintering. The Sm2NdSbO7 photocatalyst owned a pyrochlorite structure, belonged to the face-centered cubic crystal system, possessed a space group of Fd3m and a bandgap width of 2.750 eV. After 145 min of visible light irradiation (145-VLIRD), the removal rate (RMR) of methyl parathion (MP) or total organic carbon of SBHP was 100% or 97.58%, respectively. After 145-VLIRD, the photocatalytic degradation rates of SBHP to MP were 1.13 times, 1.20 times, and 2.43 times higher than those of the Sm2NdSbO7 photocatalyst, the BiDyO3 photocatalyst, and the nitrogen-doped TiO2 catalyst, respectively. The experimental results showed that SBHP had good photocatalytic activity. After four cycles of cyclic degradation experiments with SBHP, the elimination rates of MP were 98.76%, 97.44%, 96.32%, and 95.72%, respectively. The results showed that SBHP had good stability. Finally, the possible degradation pathways and degradation mechanisms of MP were speculated. In this study, we successfully developed a high-efficiency heterojunction catalyst which responded to visible light and possessed significant photocatalytic activity. Andrographis paniculata (A. paniculata) is a traditional herbal medicine that has been widely used in Asian countries for hundreds of years. Andrographolide (AG) is a diterpene lactone extracted from A. paniculata. Owing to the in-depth study of pharmacological mechanisms, the therapeutic potential of AG, including its anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, and immunoregulatory attributes, has attracted the attention of many researchers. Studies testing the therapeutic effects of AG have demonstrated desirable results in the treatment of a variety of clinical diseases. With high safety and various biological functions, AG might be a promising candidate for the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. Here, we review all available literatures to summarize the pharmacological effects of AG and facilitate further researches on musculoskeletal diseases.

Abstract Diabetic nephropathy (DN), characterized by the chronic loss of kidney function during diabetes, is a long‐term kidney disease that affects millions of populations. However, the etiology of DN remains unclear. DN cell model was established by treating HK‐2 cells with high glucose (HG) in vitro. Expression of metastasis‐associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript‐1 (MALAT1), miR‐30c, nucleotide binding and oligomerization domain‐like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3), caspase‐1, IL‐1β, and IL‐18 in treated HK‐2 cells were tested by quantitative polymerase chain reaction. HK‐2 cell pyroptosis was assessed using flow cytometry analysis. Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) activity was examined with a LDH assay kit. Correlation among MALAT1, miR‐30c, and NLRP3 was examined via dual‐luciferase reporter assay. Here, we revealed that MALAT1 was upregulated, but miR‐30c was downregulated in HG‐treated HK‐2 cells, leading to upregulation of NLRP3 expression and cell pyroptosis. Knockdown of MALAT1 or overexpression of miR‐30c protected HK‐2 cells from HG‐induced pyroptosis. Meanwhile, we found that MALAT1 promoted NLRP3 expression by sponging miR‐30c through dual‐luciferase reporter assay. Moreover, the co‐transfection of sh‐MALAT1 and miR‐30c inhibitor could reverse the protective effects of the sh‐MALAT1 on the HG‐induced pyroptosis. These results confirmed that MALAT1 regulated HK‐2 cell pyroptosis by inhibiting miR‐30c targeting for NLRP3, contributing to a better understanding of DN pathogenesis and help to find out the effective treatment for DN.

To evaluate the perioperative nursing of total knee arthroplasty for patients with valgus deformity of the knee.

The long-life nuclear spin singlet states (LLSs) have broad application prospects due to the unique nature of their long lifetime. Herein, in a solution of alanylglycylgcine (AGG), the nuclear spin singlet state of a two-spin system far from the chiral carbon in the structure is prepared. Then, the effects of sample concentration, temperature, radiofrequency (RF) center, J-coupling value and magnetic field inhomogeneity on conversion efficiency and lifetime of the LLSs were investigated. The experimental results showed that the conversion efficiency and lifetime of the singlet state were not affected by the sample concentration and magnetic field inhomogeneity, but increased with increasing experimental temperature. The influence of the position of RF center on the singlet state was not obvious when it changed within a small range, but the conversion efficiency and lifetime reduced significantly when the changes were large. Moreover, the singlet state was found to be sensitive to the changes of J-coupling value. The conversion efficiency and lifetime reduced significantly with choose of non-accurate J-coupling constant.

In this paper, the effects of reaction environment (ambient atmosphere, pressure, gas quantity etc.) on the photocatalytic methanol reforming reaction were studied systematically in a real reaction system using operando nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. It was shown that the ambient atmosphere had differential inhibitory effects on the yields of reaction products, while the environmental pressure and gas quantity had little influences. Based on these observations, the adsorption modes of gases on the catalyst surface were investigated, and a mechanism through which the ambient atmosphere affected the photocatalytic reforming process of methanol was proposed.

In operando nuclear magnetic resonance (in operando NMR) was used to investigate the effects of co-catalysts and wavelength of light on the products of photocatalytic methanol reforming, as well as the hydrogen production rate, in a real solid-liquid reaction environment. The results demonstrated that adding co-catalysts (i.e., anatase TiO2 modified with different isolated noble metal atoms) could affect the yields of reforming products to some extents, but had only little effects on the reaction kinetics. And the wavelength of light also had a large effect on the yields. It was concluded that the co-catalysts might play important roles in providing the redox capacity and the synergistic effects between methanol oxidation and hydrogen production.

With the day–night temperature and moisture levels changing every day, expansion and shrinkage of concrete slabs is always occurring; therefore, joints provide extra room for concrete slab deformation. The joint spacing in jointed plain concrete pavement (JPCP) is continuously affecting long-term pavement behaviors. In this study, data from the Long-Term Pavement Performance (LTPP) program were analyzed, and the behaviors of JPCP with different joint spacings were compared to discover the joint spacing effects. Since LTPP has an enormous database, three representative sections located in different states were selected for analysis, where the variable factors such as temperature, moisture, and average annual daily truck traffic (AADTT) were almost the same between the three sections. Three different joint spacings, including 15 ft (4.5 m), 20 ft (6 m), and 25 ft (7.5 m), were compared based on the collected LTPP data. The involved long-term pavement performances, such as average transverse cracking (count), average JPCP faulting, international roughness index (IRI), and falling weight deflectometer (FWD) deflections were compared between JPCP with different joint spacings. Based on the comparative analysis, the JPCP constructed with a 15 ft joint spacing demonstrated the best long-term performance. It showed no transverse cracking, the lowest average JPCP faulting, the best IRI value, and the smallest FWD deflection during the entire in-service period. With proper joint spacing, the cost of road maintenance throughout the life cycle could be significantly reduced due to there being less distress. Therefore, it is recommended to optimize the joint spacing to about 15 ft in JPCP in future applications.
