This thesis is focused on the development of private higher education systems in the Czech and the Slovak Republic. By the study of literature, legislation and by processing public and non-public statistical data, this thesis analyses the development of the private higher education system in the Czech and the Slovak Republic including their comparison and summarizes current terms that private universities must meet. Furthermore, this thesis is focused on processing the gathered statistical data of the number of private universities, their students and graduates. An integral part of the thesis is also the analysis of the study programs which are taught at private universities. The method of processing the statistical data is mainly the quantitative analysis of the data provided by the statistical offices in the Czech and Slovak Republic and by the ministries of education in both countries. The trend analysis was used for the outputs which display tendencies of phenomena in a specific period of time and comparative analysis comparing established indicators.

This diploma thesis focuses on the retention of teachers and teaching assistants in a specific kindergarten with special care. It searches for the reasons the employees have for staying in their current position and the ones for leaving it. The thesis then continues to research what can be done by this schools management to hold onto quality teachers and teaching assistants. The work observes possible connections of individual aspects of the job with the employees satisfaction and their tendencies to stay in said organization. Among the aspects that influence the employees satisfaction, we can find for example the working conditions, workload, work organization, the ability of professional development, rewards, interpersonal relations in the workplace, communication, the managements leading style or care for employees. In the theoretical part, I've searched through the available literature for connections between job (dis)satisfaction, work behavior patterns and employees turnover. The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of setting up school councils in elementary schools. Respondents of the empirical research were founders' deputies of complete primary schools in Hradec Kralove Region and chairpeople of their school council.In particular, the results of the survey can be used to find possibilities for cooperation between the principal and the school council, so that its activities can help to the overall development of the educational process in the given school. As a basis for reflection, it can serve all stakeholders, i.e. school management, pedagogical staff, founders, and last but not least parents. The aim of this thesis is to find out which with the law given competencies of school councils the founders concider to be the most important and the most useful during keeping and managing their schools. Thesis deals with the case law of the Supreme Court in labor law with an impact on regional education. The Supreme Court is the supreme authority of the general court system in the country. The main mission of the Supreme Court is to ensure the unity and legality of court decisions, which is carried out through the adoption of a position on judicial decision-making. Quality assurance of education in organizations providing further vocational education Dagmar Urbanová ABSTRACT The aim of the thesis is to analyze the possibilities of assurance of quality in private organizations providing adult professional education in the Czech Republic and to find out whether and with what impact these possibilities are currently used. The theoretical part puts continuing professional education into the context of lifelong learning, outlines the historical development of this segment of education, recalls important documents, organizations, and events that advocate autonomy, development and spreading of awareness of the importance of continuing professional education. In the second chapter of the theoretical part, the current possible tools and methods for the management and evaluation of the quality of adult education are defined and described. This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the conceptual framework of education management in peer-reviewed journals. The theoretical part is focused on the summary of the existing knowledge about all contexts related to the field of education management from the point of view of the time perspective. It draws on both foreign and domestic sources. Attention will also be paid to the current issue of terminologically uninterrupted important educological terms related to the management of education. Further chapters will focus on educational theories, leadership perspectives in education, lifelong learning, adult education and senior education. Comparative analysis of pre-primary education in the selected EU countries Magda Navrátilová The aim of this thesis is to identify differences between the legal rules governing pre-primary education (ISCED classification - 0) in selected European countries - England, France and Austria with legal rules governing pre-primary education in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the aim of this thesis is to propose amendments to law based on the comparison. The thesis is composed of four parts. First part is introductory. Basics are explained there as well as used methodology. Second part is devoted to pre-primary education in selected European countries. This thesis is following up a concept of diversity management, in great detail we are talking here about age management, which is human resources management with respect to age and ability of the employee. The theoretical part deals with management of diversity in work teams, defines age management as the possibility of adapting the organization to the needs of aging employees. Highlights the demographic development of the society, bringing us near to age spread of the teachers in schools in the Czech Republic. The empirical part describes in detail the age management tools as suitable instrument for adapting the working conditions for the employees of age 50+. It contains three sub-surveys in three kindergartens, three Primary Schools and three Elementary Art Schools in Prague. Based on semi-structured interviews with the directors and also on answering questionnaires about the age management and the utilization of its tools in between the group of pedagogues of age 50+ and the group of operational staff of age 50+ at the surveyed schools compares the possibility of introducing the instruments of the age management to schools with needs of employees of age 50+. The thesis deals with the exploration and deeper understanding of the problems of relations personality typology and style of management of executives in the Czech education system, ie directors, from the perspective of self-concept. The purpose is to ascertain existence of a relationship between personality characteristics and the manner of school management. What typology director of the Czech education system can be considered effective in relation to the management of educational institutions such as the Czech school and whether this environment calls for a new, own typology. Based on the theoretical background and knowledge dealing with the personality and different theories about its typology, managerial approach to the school principal in the Czech Republic, management styles, the typology of the existence of related areas. The survey will be a combination of forms, in the form of a questionnaire in the form of semi-structured interviews. The basic research sample are directors of art schools of the Czech Republic.

This diploma thesis analyses the content of articles of the international journal "The International Journal of Educational Management" (IJEM). The magazine focuses on educational management. The aim of the thesis is to analyze proffesional articles, which were published in this journal between 2000 and 2015. The major theories of the educational management for the period of 2000 - 2015 were based on these results. The diploma thesis contains two main parts, a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part defines the educational management and the development of it. Next is the describtion of the procedure and methods of content analysis. Analytical part contains the results of analyzes that were evaluated. The conclusion of the thesis is based on the results of the analysis and is responsible for the research work. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the priorities of education and development of pedagogical staff in kindergartens of the Central Bohemian region. The theoretical part consists of definition of key words followed by the analysis of state educational dokuments which are divided into strategic, curricular and legislative. In this analysis, the indexed terms and priorities of each document are described. The outputs are given in the end of the chapter. Following part is devoted to the strategy of staff management with identification and analysis of educational needs, plan of education, its realization and assessment. The practical part contains methods of questionnaire survey. The survey is given to teachers and directors of kindergartens in Central Bohemia who summarize their own priorities in education. The analysis of documents of eight selected Central Bohemian kindergartens deals with the individual strategies of management of pedagogical staff education. Also, the semi- structured interviews with the school directors were carried out. Finally, the thesis offers several recommendations which are based on the research. The thesis is focused on an issue of a competence model and its application within skills development of Environmental Education, Learning and Awareness Rising Coordinators (EVVO Coordinators) at kindergartens. The object of the thesis is to develop a competence model for an EVVO Coordinator at a kindergarten. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with roles that an EVVO Coordinator holds at a kindergarten. It defines the concept of a competence and identification and potential classification of competences. Moreover, the theoretical part describes individual phases of developing the competence model. The practical part of the thesis concerns with the development of the competence model for an EVVO Coordinator at a kindergarten. By means of structured questionnaire a comparison of the most common competencies of EVVO Coordinators and principals is drawn. Furthermore, a concept of additional competences is drafted. Finally, the practical part focuses on current extent of competences and application of the EVVO Coordinator's competence model at a kindergarten. 1 ABSTRACT This thesis deals with the educational management of the teaching staff supervising the state graduation exams. The theoretical part explains the concept of educational management and focuses in detail on the managerial function of organization. It describes the current form of the state graduation exams, related legislation and institutions involved. The thesis explains the staffing of graduation exams and individual training programs for teachers, and clarifies the role of further education of teachers. The aim of the work is to optimize the organization surrounding the education of teachers supervising the state graduation exams in Prague and Central Bohemia. The data in the presented research were collected via a survey among participants of the education related to the state graduation exams in Prague and Central Bohemia in the school year of 2015/2016 and interviews with lecturers of relevant training programs. This thesis examines life stories of three chosen preschool directresses. Based on life story interviews it brings and partially compares their life stories, picks out the critical incidents and characteristic features of their lives, gives insight into individual phases of their director's role and document their reflection of the role itself. The in - depth interviews focus on complex understanding of individual's life. The directresses are examined based on both their professional development and personal experiences. This thesis documents own interpretations of life stories; it is a source of self-reflection for the examined directresses. It also serves as an inspiration source for directors newly in the office. It is formally divided into two parts: the theoretical one gives an overview of life-story interview as a methodological approach applied. Furthermore, it is also devoted to the director as an individual being defined mainly in the Czech School Law. It also represents the existing results of both teachers' and directors' life stories research. The research part represents an analysis of life story interviews with three chosen preschool directresses in connection to the research questions.

Strategic human resource management is an approach that is closely related to the strategic organizational management, thus it is in accordance with the given objectives and goals of the organization leading to its permanent development and efficiency as a whole. The diploma work aims to find out whether the leisure time centres in the Czech Republic are in terms of human resources managed strategically. The theoretical part of the diploma work defines the terms concerning personnel activities and strategic organizational management in the context of specifications of an educational institution like a leisure time centre and/or similar one. The research deals with the interconnection between the personnel activity performance in an organization and an organizational strategy. Further on, it discloses aspects and features of the strategic human resource management in a leisure time centre and/or organizations of a similar type. 1 ABSTRACT The master thesis deals with the application of the concept of diversity management. Its objective is to determine the degree of implementation of diversity management in selected primary schools in the Central Bohemian Region. The theoretical part describes the theoretical knowledge about diversity and diversity management, their importance, classifiction of every type and description of the implementation of diversity management in organization with possible connections to the schools. The aim of this diploma thesis is methodical recommendation to the management of education in a given area of culture for individual culture bearers represented by the founders of historical monuments and their administrators. Stated goals have been achieved through content analysis of strategic materials and their reflections in specific organizations, based on interviews with culture representatives in the field of historical monuments on one side and education experts on the other side. The aim of the interviews is to identify the consistencies, differences and tendencies in the explored sector, which will then be reflected in the methodological recommendations to the individual cultural bearers. (in English): The master's thesis The Role of Studying Abroad for Future Teachers deals with the impact of an international study visit on prospective teachers and identifies areas of their professional training which can be affected most. The theoretical part of the thesis expands on studying abroad and the Erasmus Programme. It also deals with the teacher's personality, their competencies and pedagogical skills. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to specific international study visits within selected academic fields; it also analyses the respective study plans and estimates the extent of their possible influence on future teachers.

This diploma thesis deals with current conditions of individual types of the interest education organisations and differences between them within the selected topic. It determines strategies of these organisations and how these strategies will change in the future. The thesis is to find specifics within this type of education. The aim is the analysiss of the current state and development of the free time activities in particular types of organisations. Currently, we are living in a time period that is full of changes in regards to our educational needs. These changes have caused increased societal demands on individuals, yet they hold out the possibility of success through continual learning and development. Globalization, the transition from an industrial economy to a knowledge economy, the exponential growth of information technology to bring together different social groups across society, and other factors are behind the important changes happening in our contemporary society. In so called knowledge society it is important to put individual at the center of the lifelong learning process and meet the individuals' need for further education in relation to individual demand. All this does not only put pressure on the education system but also on society and the business world. Business must create conditions and frameworks to accommodate their employees' 'growing skills and competence, and they must exploit the potential their employees bring with them. All this is reason why we don't talk about lifelong education but about lifelong learning. My dissertation addresses the need for education management, as well as the need for developing management competencies. The aim of this dissertation is to find out what attitudes individual authors have towards management competencies. These are being increasingly used in the field of human resource management, namely in the competency-based management. This competency model of HR is discussed here. At the same time, I consider whether it brings any contribution to work experience. I also mention the issue of ethics in management which I regard as one of the most important management competencies. Other areas are creativity and problem solving. Every manager is required to pay special attention to them, especially in these difficult times. Moreover, I try to draw attention to the necessity of systematic approach to in-company education and organization development.

This bachelor work pursues attention to the employee-competence and to their development on the background of teamwork. You can find here some terms, which usually stay out of discussion, but there is no substitution for them in teamwork, for example synergic effect, trust and coherence. This work defines the term competence and thinks about its acquaintance among the people. Quite a lot of time was dedicated to the theme of influence of the competences on the organization, mostly by putting in corporate processes leading to the CBM. The next important theme is management based on competence from the point of view of strategic and human source preparation of the organization. Last but not least the development of team competences and the important elements for their realization are discussed. The entire result of this bachelor work is an advance to the modem character of business, which is in relation with the development of individuals and teams in corporations. There is an effort to utilize the most modem methods of management, that require employees, who are not only goog professional prepared and able to learn new knowledges and skills, essential for their specialization, but employees with requested personal features, too. 6

This work deals with several views on the operation of retraining in the Czech Republic. The aim of this work is not only to describe the strengths and weaknesses in the functioning of retraining in the Czech Republic, as well as outline opportunities for further development of this sector. The starting point is the development of competencies, because the development of professional competencies and skills upgrading, which is in the performance of specific work indispensable, is the subject of retraining courses. The work describes in detail the institutional support accreditation process, the implementation of retraining courses, monitoring compliance with the quality of courses and associated problems. The research work includes studying the results of investigations carried out provided courses in further education in 2009 and their comparison with data obtained from investigations of previous years. This work offers a number of proposals to improve the quality of the retraining, which should be made to the system concept of retraining so that graduates of retraining courses have the widest possible employable in the labor market, reduce unemployment and to mitigate the impact of the economic crisis on human society.

The presented dissertation thesis deals with the topic of e-learning, specifically aiming at employee training in small and medium sized enterprises as seen from the andragogical point of view. Its main focus is to identify the factors influencing the effectiveness of e-learning meant for employees in small and medium sized enterprises and then to formulate recommendations how to make e-learning an effective to01 in adu1t education. The theoretical part focuses on defining some basic terms relating to the relevant problems. Terms as e-learning, its forms, advantages and disadvantages are defined here. Special attention is paid to the theoretical background of e-learning and here the term of e-1earning effectiveness is clarified as well. The theoretical part also contains definitions of such terms as small and medium sized enterprises, the characteristics of the existing situation and the attitude of small and medium sized enterprises to employee training and the description of how the method of e-learning is applied in small and medium-sized enterprises. The presented rigorous work especially stems from the theory of knowledge society, knowledge company, and human capital. These phenomena are documented on the automotive industry world-wide, belonging to the major representatives of the globalization trends which invoke the large changes. This rigorous work documents the significancy of the company's strategy, and also documents its components and influence on enterprising, using the Japanese multinational Asahi Glass Company as an example and accentuating the human capital. This work attends closely to the problems of human resources management within the company, that acually become an integral portion of the global processes and are influenced by most of changes coming due to changes invoked by globalization. Especially some supporting elements - remuneration of employees, evaluation of employees, qualification growth, but also the employees' satisfaction and social programs - are accentuated.
