Gallate material, a luminescent matrix with excellent performance is normally prepared by vapor deposition or solid phase sintering method at high temperature. However, it has not been solved to prepare gallate-based fluorescent materials with full-color luminescent properties at low temperature. In this paper, ZnGa2O4 undoped or doped with Cr or Mn nanoflowers composed of nanosheet-level structure were prepared by hydrothermal method at low temperature. Under ultraviolet light irradiation, ZnGa2O4, ZnGa2O4:Mn2+ and ZnGa2O4:Cr3+ display three primary colors of blue, green and red luminescence through self-excitation, Mn2+ and Cr3+ excitation respectively. The solid fluorescence yields of blue, green, and red colors are 32.3, 36.5, and 40.7%, respectively. It is highly expected to be applied to color display, biological imaging, white light devices. An interesting group of cymbelloid diatoms was collected from lakes in Yunnan Province, China, and observations on their valve morphology made using light and scanning electron microscopy. These cymbelloid species all have apical pore fields, slit-like areolae, and areolar occlusions, and they all lack of stigmata. In this paper we propose the new genus Qinia gen. nov. for these taxa and describe them as new: Q. lashii sp. nov., Q. aequalis sp. nov., and Q. daliensis sp. nov. The genus Qinia gen. nov. has lanceolate valves asymmetrical about their apical axes, raphe located in the middle of valve, distal raphe ends bent to the dorsal margin that bisects the apical pore fields (APFs), no stigmata, areolae with slit-like external openings and projections occluding the areolar openings internally. This genus resembles the genus Cymbella in the presence of APFs, but differs from Cymbella by a lack of stigmata, and by having external distal raphe ends that bisect the apical pore fields. Like Reimeria, the external distal raphe ends bisect the lobes of the APF, but Qinia species differ from Reimeria in that they have no stigmata and the distal raphe ends are deflected dorsally, not ventrally. Comparisons were made between Qinia and other cymbelloid genera whose members possess apical pore fields. Features that distinguish each species of the new genus are also discussed. The National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) has been continuously biomonitoring Americans' exposure to two families of harmful environmental chemicals: polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs). However, biomonitoring these chemicals is expensive. To save cost, in 2005, NHANES resorted to pooled biomonitoring; that is, amalgamating individual specimens to form a pool and measuring chemical levels from pools. Despite being publicly available, these pooled data gain limited applications in health studies. Among the few studies using these data, racial/age disparities were detected, but there is no control for confounding effects. These disadvantages are due to the complexity of pooled measurements and a dearth of statistical tools. Herein, we developed a regression-based method to unzip pooled measurements, which facilitated a comprehensive assessment of disparities in exposure to these chemicals. We found increasing dependence of PCBs on age and income, whereas PBDEs were the highest among adolescents and seniors and were elevated among the low-income population. In addition, Hispanics had the lowest PCBs and PBDEs among all demographic groups after controlling for potential confounders. These findings can guide the development of population-specific interventions to promote environmental justice. Coumarin and its derivatives are plant-derived compounds that exhibit potent insecticidal properties. In this study, we found that natural coumarin significantly inhibited the growth and development of Spodoptera litura larvae through toxicological assay. By transcriptomic sequencing, 80 and 45 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) related to detoxification were identified from 0 to 24 h and 24 to 48 h in S. litura after coumarin treatment, respectively. Enzyme activity analysis showed that CYP450 and acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activities significantly decreased at 48 h after coumarin treatment, while glutathione S-transferases (GST) activity increased at 24 h. Silencing of SlCYP324A16 gene by RNA interference significantly increased S. litura larval mortality and decreased individual weight after treatment with coumarin. Additionally, the expression levels of DEGs involved in glycolysis and tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle were inhibited at 24 h after coumarin treatment, while their expression levels were upregulated at 48 h. Furthermore, metabonomics analysis identified 391 differential metabolites involved in purine metabolism, amino acid metabolism, and TCA cycle from 0 to 24 h after treated with coumarin and 352 differential metabolites associated with ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters and amino acid metabolism. Pediatric pneumonia is an infectious lung disease with high morbidity and mortality. Sinomenine, an alkaloid extracted from Caulis Sinomenii, exerts anti‐inflammatory and anti‐apoptotic activities. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is widely used for the establishment of an inflammatory model. This research aimed to explore the influences of sinomenine on LPS‐caused inflammatory injuries in fetal lung WI‐38 cells. WI‐38 cells were treated with LPS to establish a cellular model of pediatric pneumonia. Cell viability was evaluated using CCK‐8 assay. Apoptosis was evaluated using TUNEL staining and caspase‐3 activity assays. Inflammatory cytokines and NF‐κB p65 phosphorylation levels were measured by Enzyme‐Linked Immunosorbent Assay. Glutathione S‐transferase M1 (GSTM1) expression was detected by western blotting. Results showed that LPS reduced WI‐38 cell viability, and sinomenine protected cells against LPS‐induced viability reduction. Sinomenine concentration‐dependently attenuated LPS‐induced inflammation by reducing TNF‐α, IL‐1β and MCP‐1, and increasing IL‐10 levels. Sinomenine mitigated LPS‐induced apoptosis. GSTM1 was screened by matching the targets of sinomenine and pediatric pneumonia. GSTM1 was upregulated in LPS‐treated WI‐38 cells, and this effect was attenuated after sinomenine treatment. GSTM1 was upstream of NF‐κB pathway. Overexpression of GSTM1 reversed the suppressive functions of sinomenine on LPS‐stimulated inflammation and apoptosis. Overall, sinomenine attenuates inflammation and apoptosis in WI‐38 cells stimulated by LPS via inhibiting GSTM1 expression, indicating the therapeutic potential of sinomenine in pediatric pneumonia. In clinical studies, it is often that the medical treatments take a period of time before having an effect on patients and the delayed time may vary from person to person. Even though there exists a rich literature developing methods to estimate the time-lag period and treatment effects after lag time, most of these existing studies assume a fixed lag time. In this paper, we propose a hazard model incorporating a random treatment time-lag effect to describe the heterogeneous treatment effect among subjects. The EM algorithm is used to obtain the maximum likelihood estimator. We give the asymptotic properties of the proposed estimator and evaluate its performance via simulation studies. • We use nearest neighbor positive instances selected from a dynamic queue to improve the positive instances diversity. • Our self-supervised contrastive training model achieves competitive performance compared to previous models. • Our self-supervised contrastive training model is better than supervised training models in cross-dataset testing. Self-supervised contrastive learning (SSCL) has achieved a great success in speaker verification (SV). All recent works treat within-utterance speaker embeddings (SE) to be positive instances, encouraging them to be as close as possible. However, positive instances from the same utterance have similar channel and related semantic information, which are difficult to distinguish from the speaker features. Moreover, these positive instances can only provide limited variances in a certain speaker. To tackle the above problems, we propose to use nearest neighbor (NN) positive instances for training, which are selected from a dynamic queue. The NN positive instances can provide different channel and semantic information, increasing the variances in a certain speaker. Our proposed method are validated through comprehensive experiments on VoxCeleb and CNCeleb1 datasets, demonstrating its effectiveness in improving both SSCL and fine-tuning results. Highland barley (HB) is an important cereal crop distributed in the plateau region. Bioactive peptides (BAPs) derived from cereal proteins have shown biological functions. However, the knowledge of highland barley peptide (HBP) is limited. This study aims to explore the immunomodulatory activity of HBP and the relationship between immunomodulatory activity and related gene expression through RNA-seq. Firstly, HBP is isolated from protease hydrolysates of HB protein, yielding 12.04% of crude HB protein. The molecular weight of HBP is about 1702 Da analyzed by gel filtration chromatography, and HBP has a specific amino acid sequence as Gln-Pro-Gln-Gln-Pro-Phe-Pro-Gln (QPQPFPQ) analyzed by LC-MS. Besides, HBP contains 42.20% hydrophobic amino acids and 10.86% basic amino acids. Next, the immunomodulatory activity of HBP in vitro shows that HBP enhances the phagocytosis of RAW264.7 macrophages, promotes nitric oxide (NO) production and the mRNA expression of pro-inflammatory genes including tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α), interleukin 1β (IL-1β), and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), and decreases the mRNA expression of anti-inflammatory gene, transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1). RNA-seq analysis reveals TNF and nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) pathways are upregulated, and RT-qPCR is performed to verify RNA-seq analysis. In conclusion, HBP activates RAW264.7 macrophages via TNF/NF-κB signaling pathway. HBP, as a significant immunomodulatory peptide, might be a promising resource for future functional foods. Objective: To explore the effect of oral comprehensive nursing intervention on mechanically ventilated patients in ICU. Methods: Select 76 cases of mechanically ventilated patients in severe ICU admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to October 2022 as the research objects, and divide them into the control group and the observation group according to the way the patients receive oral care. 38 cases each. The patients in the control group received routine nursing intervention, and the patients in the observation group received comprehensive oral nursing intervention on the basis of the nursing of the control group. The clinical index data, oropharyngeal hygiene, pH value, blood gas analysis index levels, and the occurrence and death of ventilator-associated pneumonia were compared between the two groups of patients. The employment of drones for the distribution of goods represents a significant avenue for addressing logistical challenges at the end of the supply chain. The truck-drone cooperative delivery model overcomes drone limitations such as limited capacity and endurance and has emerged as a crucial mode of drone participation in logistics delivery. This delivery model effectively reduces delivery costs and shortens delivery times. Herein, we examine a variant of the truck-drone routing problem, which encompasses the strategic deployment and routing of multiple fleets of trucks, each equipped with an auxiliary drone. The objective is to fulfill all the pickup and delivery demands of a designated customer base while minimizing the overall route cost. Within this problem domain, drones are authorized to serve multiple customers within their capacity and endurance limits, providing both pickup and delivery services during each trip. However, the utilization of drones for servicing all customers is impeded by the existence of no-fly zones that have been implemented in numerous cities worldwide. These prescribed no-fly zones cause significant challenges when attempting to optimize the routing of truck-drone operations. Thus, this study constructs a mixed integer linear programming (MILP) model for the path optimization problem of joint service of trucks and drones considering no-fly zones and simultaneous pickup and delivery. Given the intricacy of the MILP model, we propose a two-stage heuristic algorithm based on a simulated annealing approach, combined with strategies for rectifying infeasible solutions and expediting algorithmic processes. During the phase of computational experimentation, we explore the advantages derived from enabling drones to serve multiple customers and assess the effectiveness of the proposed model and two-stage heuristic algorithm. Background: Fushenmu (Pini Radix in Poria, FSM) is a folk parasitic herb that has been mainly used for palpitation and amnesiain in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Recently, as an individual herb or a component of formulations, Fushenmu exhibits therapeutic potential for the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. Yet, how specific targets or pathways of Fushenmu inhibit arrhythmia has not yet been reported. Methods: Here, based on clinical functional genomics, metabolomics and molecular biologic technologies, a network construction strategy was adopted to identify FSM therapeutic targets and biomarkers that might explore its functions. Results: In this study, it was found that FSM recovered arrhythmia-associated heart failure in barium chloride (BaCl2) induced arrhythmic zebrafish embryos, as was evidenced by the shortened cardiac sinus venosus—bulbus arteriosus (SV-BA) distance, smaller cardiovascular bleeding areas, and reduced cardiomyocyte apoptosis. Moreover, analysis via ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-QTOF-ESI-MS/MS) components identification and network pharmacology prediction showed that 11 main active components of FSM acted on 33 candidate therapeutic targets. Metabolomic analysis also suggested that FSM could rescue 242 abnormal metabolites from arrhythmic zebrafish embryos. Further analysis based on the combination of target prediction and metabolomic results illustrated that FSM down-regulated Ryanodine Receptor 2 (RyR2) expressions, inhibited adrenaline and 3',5'-Cyclic AMP (cAMP) levels in a dose-dependent manner, which was confirmed by metabolites quantification and quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) assay. Background: HELLP syndrome refers to a group of clinical syndromes characterized by hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes and low platelet, and the evidence on the association between proteinuria and the severity of HELLP and its maternal and neonatal outcomes is rare. Methods: 106 pregnant women were assigned to the proteinuric group (24-hUPro ≥ 0.3 g, 79 cases) and the non-proteinuric group (24-hUPro < 0.3 g, 27 cases). The proteinuric group was further divided into three subgroups: mild group (24-hUPro:0.3-2.0 g, 33 cases), moderate group (24-hUPro:2.0-5.0 g, 21 cases) and severe group (24-hUPro: ≥5.0 g, 25 cases). The general clinical data, laboratory indexes, complications and pregnancy outcome and adverse neonatal outcomes of HELLP with or without proteinuric were analyzed. Results: Compared with proteinuric group, the non-albuminuric group or in the three proteinuric subgroups of HELLP pregnant women's, increased proteinuria was associated with earlier onset gestations, higher incidence of abdominal pain, skin jaundice, headache, blurred vision (p < 0.05 respectively), and also the higher levels of ALT, AST, LDH, Fib, APTT, ATII, proportions of tubular urine and lower levels of ALB, PLT (p < 0.05 respectively). In the three subgroups of the proteinuric group, the ratio of fetal growth restriction, cesarean section and postpartum hemorrhage were compared, and the difference was statistically significant (p < 0.05 respectively). Compared with the proteinuric group, the non-proteinuric group had higher birth weight, birth length, and lower SGA, admission rate in NICU (p < 0.05 respectively). In the three subgroups of the proteinuric group, significant differences were identified in the adverse outcomes of newborns (p < 0.05 respectively), and the incidence of adverse outcomes in neonates tended to be higher. Significant differences were identified in birth weight, birth length, and lower SGA and NICU occupancy rate among the three subgroups (p < 0.05 respectively). Conclusions: HELLP syndrome is a severe complication of pregnancy, involving multiple systems of the whole body. It has posed a great challenge to obstetricians for its acute onset, dangerous condition, rapid progress, and great harm. With the continuous progress and application of robotics technology, the importance of mobile robots capable of adapting to specialized work environments is gaining prominence. Among them, achieving precise and stable control of AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) stands as a paramount task propelling the advancement of mobile robotics. Consequently, this study devises a control system that enables AGVs to attain stable and accurate motion through equipment connection and debugging, kinematic modeling of the four-wheel steering AGV, and a selection and comparative analysis of motion control algorithms. The effectiveness of the Stanley-PID control algorithm in guiding the motion of a four-wheel steering AGV is validated through MATLAB 2021a simulation software. Researchers and engineers have developed exoskeletons capable of reducing the energetic cost of walking by decreasing the force their users' muscles are required to produce while contracting. The metabolic effect of assisting concentric and isometric muscle contractions depends, in part, on assistance magnitude. We conducted human treadmill experiments to explore the effects of assistance magnitude on the biomechanics and energetics of walking with an energy-removing exoskeleton designed to assist eccentric muscle contractions. Our results demonstrate that the assistance magnitude of an energy-removing device significantly affects the energetics, muscle activity, and biomechanics of walking. Under the moderate assistance magnitude condition, our device reduced the metabolic cost of walking below that of normal walking by 3.4% while simultaneously producing 0.29 W of electricity. This reduction in the energetic cost of walking was also associated with an 8.9% decrease in hamstring activity. Furthermore, we determined that there is an assistance magnitude threshold that, when crossed, results in the device transitioning from assisting to hindering its user. This transition is marked by significant increases in muscle activity and the metabolic cost of walking. These results could aid in the future design of exoskeletons and biomechanical energy harvesters, as well as adaptive control systems, that identify user-specific control parameters associated with minimum energy expenditure. Reported in this work is a synergistic ternary achiral picolinaldehyde‐Zn(II)‐chiral palladium complex system for the highly enantioselective α‐allylation of N‐unprotected amino esters. By utilizing a variety of allylic carbonates or vinyl benzoxazinanones as substrates, α‐allyl α‐amino esters were obtained in high yields (up to 96 %) with high enantioselectivities (up to 98 % ee). Control experiments suggest that the coordination of Zn(II) with the Schiff base intermediate enhances the acidity of the α‐C−H bonds of amino esters, thereby favoring α‐allylation over intrinsic N‐allylation. Furthermore, NMR studies reveal an interaction between the chiral palladium complex and the Zn(II)‐Schiff base intermediate, leading to the formation of a picolinaldehyde‐Zn(II)‐Pd(0) catalytic system. Bioelectric electrodes with low modulus and high adhesion have been intensively pursued, as they afford conformal and strong bonding at skin‐electrode interface to improve the fidelity and stability of electrophysiological signals. However, during detachment, tough adhesion can cause pain or skin allergy; worse still, the soft electrodes can suffer damage due to excessive stretch/torsion, hampering long‐term, dynamic, and multiple uses. Herein, a bioelectric electrode is proposed by transferring silver nanowires (AgNWs) network to the surface of bistable adhesive polymer (BAP). The phase transition temperature of BAP is tuned to be slightly below skin temperature at 30 °C. Triggered by skin heat, the BAP electrode achieves low modulus and high adhesion within seconds, allowing robust skin‐electrode interface under dry, wet, and body‐moving conditions. Ice bag treatment can dramatically stiffen the electrode and reduce the adhesion, which allows painless detachment and avoids electrode damage. Meanwhile, the AgNWs network with biaxial wrinkled microstructure remarkably promotes the electro‐mechanical stability of the BAP electrode. The BAP electrode successfully combines long‐term (7 days) and dynamic (body movements, sweat, underwater) stability, reusability (at least ten times), and minimized skin irritation during electrophysiological monitoring. Person re-identification (ReID) intends to link people with common identities captured by various cameras spread across a big, fragmented area. Due to the imbalance in the distribution of data between input and output variables and the absence of labeled information in the target domain, cross-domain person re-identification (ReID) is a high demanding assignment. This paper presents a contemporary dual semantic-aligned (DSA) clustering approach, which jointly learns latent semantic subspaces of source and target domains to group target samples. More specifically, we present an innovative subspace learning model which jointly finds intra-domain basis and inter-domain multi-granularity basis. After the subspaces are learned, target samples are correspondingly projected and clustered automatically in each subspace. The clusters allow the model to attribute imaginary labels to the target samples and then impose supervised constraints throughout the training phase. Experiment results on DukeMTMC-reID, Market-1501, and MSMT17 benchmarks validate that our scheme significantly outperformed the state-of-the-art schemes. Our approach obtains performance of 86.82%/63.06% (Duke → Market), 76.3%/58.35% (Market → Duke) and 52.97%/22.44% (Duke → MSMT17) in Rank-1/mAP, correspondingly. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We have constructed a holographic superfluid with gauge–axion coupling. Depending on whether the coupling is positive or negative, the system displays metallic or insulating behavior in its normal state. A significant feature of the system is the appearance of a mid-IR peak in the alternating current (AC) conductivity in a certain range of parameters. This peak arises due to competition between explicit symmetry breaking (ESB) and spontaneous symmetry breaking (SSB), which results in the presence of a pseudo-Goldstone mode. Moreover, a dip in low-frequency AC conductivity is observed, stemming from the excitation of the SSB Goldstone mode. In the superfluid phase, the effect of gauge–axion coupling on the condensation or superfluid energy gap is only amplified in the presence of strong momentum dissipation. Notably, for the case with negative gauge–axion coupling, a hard-gap-like behavior at low frequency and a pronounced peak at intermediate frequency are observed, indicating that the evolution of the superfluid component is distinct from that of positive coupling. Herein, a stable metal‐azolate framework with cyclic trinickel(II) clusters, namely [Ni3(μ3‐O)(BTPP)(OH)(H2O)2] (Ni‐BTPP, H3BTPP=1,3,5‐tris((1H‐pyrazol‐4‐yl)phenylene)benzene), achieved a current density of 50 mA cm−2 at a cell voltage of 1.8 V in 1.0 M KOH solution, while the current density of 20%Pt/C@NF||IrO2@NF is just 35.8 mA cm−2 at 2.0 V under the same condition. Moreover, no obvious degradation was observed over 12 hours of continuous operation at a large current density of 50 mA cm−2. Theoretical calculations revealed that the μ3‐O atom in the cyclic trinickel(II) cluster serves as hydrogen‐bonding acceptor to facilitate the dissociation of a H2O molecule adsorbed on the adjacent Ni(II) ion, giving a lower energy barrier of H2O dissociation compared with Pt/C; meanwhile, the μ3‐O atom can also participate in the water oxidation reaction to couple with the adjacent *OH adsorbed on Ni(II) ion, providing a low‐energy coupling pathway, thus Ni‐BTPP achieves a high performance for overall water splitting. Aim: To investigate the effectiveness of internet‐based self‐management interventions on pulmonary function in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Design: Systematic review and meta‐analysis. Data Sources: Eight electronic databases including PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane library, Embase, CINAHL, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wangfang and Weipu databases were systematically searched from inception of the database to January 10, 2022. Methods: Statistical analysis was performed using Review Manager 5.4 and results were reported as mean difference (MD) or standard mean difference (SMD) with 95% confidence intervals (CI). Outcomes were the forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1), forced volume capacity (FVC) and percent of FEV1/FVC. The Cochrane Risk of Bias Tool was used to assess the risk of bias of included studies. The study protocol was not registered. Results: Eight randomized controlled trials (RCTs) including 476 participants met the inclusion criteria and were included in meta‐analysis. It was found that internet‐based self‐management interventions showed a significant improvement in FVC(L), while FEV1 (%), FEV1 (L), FEV1/FVC (%) and FVC (%) did not significantly improve. Conclusions: Internet‐based self‐management interventions were effective in improving pulmonary function in patients with COPD, caution should be exercised in interpreting the results. RCTs of higher quality are needed in the future to further demonstrate the effectiveness of the intervention. With the rapid development of mobile devices and web-based technologies, it becomes common for students to switch between different tasks during study time. However, it remains unclear how the transition between on-task and off-task states happens and how digital devices affect the process. This study examines college students' independent study in the library to delineate the pattern of on-task and off-task behavior, and identify the triggers for students' engagement or disengagement. Through video recordings, the researchers captured the behaviors of over 266 students at the library. Observations were taken and used to double-check and confirm the behaviors. The study adopted the behavioral sequences method to scrutinize behavioral transition and explored gender differences. The results indicate that on-task behaviors tended to decline as the learning duration increased, whereas off-task behaviors tended to increase when students interacted with personal devices. As the most used device, smartphones posed persistent interference for learners, leading to reduced focus during independent study time. Moreover, male students were more likely to be influenced by external interruptions, whereas female students were more prone to the influence of internal interruptions. Deep learning methods for salient object detection (SOD) have been studied actively and promisingly. However, it is still challenging for the studies with two aspects. The first one is a single type of label from the network to convey limit information, which leads to the poor generalization ability of the network. The second one is the difficulty to improve the accuracy and detect details of target. To address these challenges, we develop a novel approach via joint weakly supervised, unsupervised and supervised learning for SOD (WUSL–SOD), which differs from existing methods just based on ground-truth or other sparse labels. Specifically, to optimize the objective of the image, the unsupervised learning module (ULM) is designed to generate coarse saliency feature and suppress background noises via attention guiding mechanism. Then, we propose the weakly supervised learning module (WLM) based on scribbles for producing relatively accurate saliency feature. Note that this structure is used to enhance the details and remedy the deficiency of scribbles in WLM. For further refining information from the ULM and WLM, we propose a supervised learning module (SLM), which is not only applied to process and refine information from the ULM and WLM, but also enhance the image details and capture the entire target area. Furthermore, we also exchange information between the SLM and the WLM to obtain more accurate saliency maps. Purpose: Ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration biopsy (UG-FNAB) was implemented in Qilu Hospital of Shandong University in 2015 as a preoperative diagnostic method for thyroid surgery. BRAF p.V600E genetic testing was implemented in 2019. This study evaluated the impact of these two tests on the malignancy rate in patients undergoing thyroidectomy. Methods: A total of 19,496 patients were included in the study. We retrospectively collected data from patients undergoing thyroid surgery in the Hospital Information System (HIS) of Qilu Hospital of Shandong University from January 2012 to December 2021. Meanwhile, data of FNAB, UG-FNAB, and BRAF p.V600E genetic testing were collected. Differences in means among groups were analyzed via one-way ANOVA, and differences in frequencies were analyzed via Pearson's chi-squared test. Results: In this study, the 10-year period was divided into three stages, with the implementation of UG-FNAB in 2015 and that of BRAF p.V600E genetic testing in 2019 as dividing lines. The malignancy rate in thyroid surgery increased significantly during these three stages (48.06% vs. 73.47% vs. 88.17%; P < 0.001). In the same period (May 2019 to December 2021), the malignancy rate in thyroid surgery was significantly different between the Non-FNAB, UG-FNAB, and UG-FNAB-BRAF groups (78.87% vs. 95.63% vs. 98.32%; P < 0.001). Conclusions: The successful implementation of UG-FNAB and BRAF p.V600E genetic testing improved the malignancy rate in thyroid surgery and reduced unnecessary diagnostic surgery for benign and marginal lesions. The use of market-oriented environmental policies to achieve a win-win situation for the economy and the environment has become the focus in many countries, and environmental innovation is an important way for firms to achieve dual benefits. However, the overall framework for market-based environmental policies, environmental innovation, and firms' performance remains unclear. In order to reveal this relationship, this study selected 113 articles from the Zhejiang Daily as the research sample and adopted the grounded theory method to construct the theoretical framework. The results revealed that market-oriented environmental policies that were composed of incentive-based policy tools and constraint-based policy tools had a promotional effect on environmental innovation. Resource redundancy and government action, as internal and external contextual factors, moderated the relationship between market-oriented environmental policies and environmental innovation, and environmental innovation can promote improvements in a firm's performance. This study provides a useful reference for how governments can better promote the construction of an ecological civilization and how firms can utilize policy opportunities to promote their green development, thus providing empirical evidence for future studies. Assessment of the quality and current performance of computed tomography (CT) radiomics-based models in predicting epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutation status in patients with non-small-cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC). Two medical literature databases were systematically searched, and articles presenting original studies on CT radiomics-based models for predicting EGFR mutation status were retrieved. Forest plots and related statistical tests were performed to summarize the model performance and inter-study heterogeneity. The methodological quality of the selected studies was assessed via the Radiomics Quality Score (RQS). The performance of the models was evaluated using the area under the curve (ROC AUC). The range of the Risk RQS across the selected articles varied from 11 to 24, indicating a notable heterogeneity in the quality and methodology of the included studies. The average score was 15.25, which accounted for 42.34% of the maximum possible score. The pooled Area Under the Curve (AUC) value was 0.801, indicating the accuracy of CT radiomics-based models in predicting the EGFR mutation status. CT radiomics-based models show promising results as non-invasive alternatives for predicting EGFR mutation status in NSCLC patients. However, the quality of the studies using CT radiomics-based models varies widely, and further harmonization and prospective validation are needed before the generalization of these models. Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD) brains accumulate DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs), which could contribute to neurodegeneration and dysfunction. The genomic distribution of AD brain DSBs is unclear. Objective: To map genome-wide DSB distributions in AD and age-matched control brains. Methods: We obtained autopsy brain tissue from 3 AD and 3 age-matched control individuals. The donors were men between the ages of 78 to 91. Nuclei extracted from frontal cortex tissue were subjected to Cleavage Under Targets & Release Using Nuclease (CUT&RUN) assay with an antibody against γH2AX, a marker of DSB formation. γH2AX-enriched chromatins were purified and analyzed via high-throughput genomic sequencing. Results: The AD brains contained 18 times more DSBs than the control brains and the pattern of AD DSBs differed from the control brain pattern. In conjunction with published genome, epigenome, and transcriptome analyses, our data revealed aberrant DSB formation correlates with AD-associated single-nucleotide polymorphisms, increased chromatin accessibility, and upregulated gene expression. In this paper, we present a novel controller design method for stochastic nonlinear systems with unmodeled dynamics, uncertain parameters, and unknown covariance noise. In order to deal with these uncertainties, a new event‐based small gain controller is designed. The event‐triggered scheme can reduce the computational burden caused by disturbance and noise. By combining the technique of changing supply rate with small gain condition, a stochastic input‐to‐state practically stability Lyapunov function is obtained for the subsystem. Simultaneously, the changing supply function is used to treat with unmodeled dynamics. Based on backstepping process and adaptive control approach, the influence of unknown covariance noise is overcome. In socially monogamous prairie voles (Microtus ochrogaster), parental behaviors not only occur in mothers and fathers, but also exist in some virgin males. In contrast, the other virgin males display aggressive behaviors towards conspecific pups. However, little is known about the molecular underpinnings of this behavioral dichotomy, such as gene expression changes and their regulatory mechanisms. To address this, we profiled the transcriptome and DNA methylome of hippocampal dentate gyrus of four prairie vole groups, namely attacker virgin males, parental virgin males, fathers, and mothers. While we found a concordant gene expression pattern between parental virgin males and fathers, the attacker virgin males have a more deviated transcriptome. Moreover, numerous DNA methylation changes were found in pair-wise comparisons among the four groups. We found some DNA methylation changes overlapping with transcription differences, across gene-bodies and promoter regions. Furthermore, the gene expression changes and methylome alterations are selectively enriched in certain biological pathways, such as Wnt signaling, which suggest a canonical transcription regulatory role of DNA methylation in paternal behavior. Therefore, our study presents an integrated view of prairie vole dentate gyrus transcriptome and epigenome that provides a DNA epigenetic based molecular insight of paternal behavior. Proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) inhibitor has been demonstrated to exert a great cardioprotection in cardiometabolic impairments, including atherosclerosis. However, its underlying mechanism remains not fully understood. This study focuses on uncovering the actions of PCSK9 inhibitor on the connection between atherosclerosis and vascular smooth muscle cell (VSMC) behaviors. qRT‐PCR was utilized to detect the expression of SNHG16. Proliferation and migration of VSMC were characterized by Cell Counting Kit‐8 and wound healing assays. The intracellular lipids and foam cell formation were assessed by Oil Red O staining, fluorescence image, and cholesterol quantification kit. Atherosclerosis in vivo was evaluated by imaging the atherosclerotic lesions, hematoxylin‐eosin staining, Oil Red O staining and Masson staining. The interaction between SNHG16 with EZH2 and histone H3 lysine 27 trimethylation (H3K27me3) were investigated by fluorescence in situ hybridization, RNA immunoprecipitation, and chromatin immunoprecipitation assays. A ApoE−/− mice model was used to validate the role of PCSK9 inhibitor and SNHG16 for atherosclerosis. The protective regulation of PCSK9 inhibitor was observed both in high‐fat diet (HFD)‐fed mice and oxidized low‐density lipoprotein (ox‐LDL)‐treated VSMC, as manifested in the decreased the atherosclerotic lesions in vivo, as well as the weakened cell proliferation, migration, and formation of foam cells in vitro. SNHG16 was identified to be a downstream effector of PCSK9 inhibitor‐mediated biological functions, of which knockdown also significantly ox‐LDL‐treated VSMC proliferation, migration, and foam cell formation abilities. SNHG16 epigenetically suppressed TRAF5 via recruiting EZH2. Silencing of TRAF5 abolished the protective effects of SNHG16 knockdown on the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. Axially moving wing aircraft can better adapt to the flight environment, improve flight performance, reduce flight resistance, and improve flight distance. This paper simplifies the fully unfolded axially moving wing into a stepped cantilever plate model, analyzes the structural nonlinearity of the system, and studies the influence of aerodynamic nonlinearity on system vibration. The model is affected by aerodynamic forces, piezoelectric excitation, and in-plane excitation. Due to Hamilton's principle of least action, the mathematical model is established based on Reddy's higher-order shear deformation theory, and using Galerkin's method, the governing dimensionless partial differential equations of the system are simplified to two nonlinear ordinary differential equations, and then a study of the influence of the various engineering parameters on the nonlinear oscillations and frequency responses of this model is conducted by the method of multiple scales. It was found that the different values of a 5 , a 6 , b 6 and b 8 can change the shape of the amplitude–frequency response curve and size of the plate, while different symbols a 7 and b 7 can change the rigidity of the model. Highly transparent Er:Y2O3 ceramics (1–9 at.% Er) were fabricated by hot pressing sintering with ZrO2 as the sintering additive. The microstructures, transmittance, luminescent properties, thermal conductivity, and mechanical properties of the Er:Y2O3 ceramic samples were investigated in detail. The samples all exhibited dense and fine grain microstructures; the average grain sizes were about 0.8 μm. The transmittance levels of the samples with various Er concentrations (2 mm thick) at the wavelengths of 600 and 2700 nm were ~74 and ~83%, respectively. As the Er doping concentration increased from 1 to 9 at.%, the up-conversion luminescence of the samples gradually changed from green to red, with the intensity ratio of red/green light increasing from 0.28 to 2.01. Meanwhile, the down-conversion luminescence properties of the specimens were also studied. When the samples were under 980 nm excitation, the emission bands were detected at 1552, 1573, 1639, and 1661 nm. The thermal conductivity of the samples was found to decrease from 8.72 to 5.81 W/(m·K) with an increase of the Er concentration from 1 to 9 at.%. Moreover, the microhardness and fracture toughness of the samples with 1 at.% Er concentration were ~8.51 GPa and ~1.03 MPa·m1/2, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Diabetes is a chronic disease that poses a serious threat to health, and its early risk prediction has been a hot research topic in the field of medical artificial intelligence. Routine medical checkups are the most common way to monitor people's health status, and the data from medical checkups contain rich diagnostic information, which is valuable for diabetes risk prediction. Currently, most of the available studies on diabetes risk prediction are based on publicly available datasets, and the models and algorithms do not work well on real clinical datasets. Real routine checkup data are characterized by complex information, diverse features, high redundancy and poor balance, which pose great challenges for diabetes risk prediction. To address this problem, this paper proposes a multi-strategy data augmentation-based diabetes risk prediction method, after completing data pre-processing and feature selection, a counterfactual-based data balancing strategy is used to augment a minority class of instances, and a density clustering-based supplemental counterfactual data augmentation strategy is proposed to address the problem of insufficient representation of generated instances in the counterfactual method. Moreover, the uncertainty-weighted method is used in the model training phase. Based on the real checkup dataset, five machine learning methods including Logistic Regression (LR), SVM, Decision Tree, Random Forest and Gradient Boosting are used to model and use 5-fold cross-validation to carry out diabetes risk assessment and prediction. The experimental results showed that the sensitivity and precision of the models were significantly improved compared with the existing methods, and the sensitivity of the LR model for diabetes risk prediction on the real routine checkup dataset reached more than 90 % , which meet the requirements of clinical application. Network meta-analysis is an extension of standard meta-analysis. It allows researchers to build a network of evidence to compare multiple interventions that may have not been compared directly in existing publications. With a Bayesian approach, network meta-analysis can be used to obtain a posterior probability distribution of all the relative treatment effects, which allows for the estimation of relative treatment effects to quantify the uncertainty of parameter estimates, and to rank all the treatments in the network. Ranking treatments using both direct and indirect evidence can provide guidance to policy makers and clinicians for making decisions. The purpose of this paper is to introduce fundamental concepts of Bayesian network meta-analysis (BNMA) to researchers in psychology and social sciences. We discuss several essential concepts of BNMA, including the assumptions of homogeneity and consistency, the fixed and random effects models, prior specification, and model fit evaluation strategies, while pointing out some issues and areas where researchers should use caution in the application of BNMA. Additionally, using an automated R package, we provide a step-by-step demonstration on how to conduct and report the findings of BNMA with a real dataset of psychological interventions extracted from PubMed. SLIT and NTRK‐like protein‐5 (SLITRK5) is one of the six members of SLITRK protein family, which is widely expressed in central nervous system (CNS). In brain, SLITRK5 plays important roles in neurite outgrowth, dendritic branching, neuron differentiation, synaptogenesis, and signal transmission of neurons. Epilepsy is a common, chronic neurological disorder characterized by recurrent spontaneous seizures. The pathophysiological mechanism of epilepsy remains unclear. Neuronal apoptosis, abnormal nerve excitatory transmission, and synaptic remodeling are thought to be involved in the development of epilepsy. To explore whether there is a potential relationship between SLITRK5 and epilepsy, we investigated the expression and distribution of SLITRK5 in patients with temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) and a rat model of epilepsy. We collected cerebral cortex samples from patients with drug‐refractory temporal lobe epilepsy, and a rat model of epilepsy induced by lithium chloride/pilocarpine was established. The ways of immunohistochemistry, double‐immunofluorescence labeling and western blot have been used in our study to research the expression and distribution of SLITRK5 in the temporal lobe epilepsy patients and epilepsy animal model. All of the results have shown that SLITRK5 is mainly localized in the cell cytoplasm of neurons both in patients with TLE and in epilepsy model. In addition, compared with nonepileptic controls, the expression of SLITRK5 was upregulated in the temporal neocortex of TLE patients. And both in the temporal neocortex and hippocampus of pilocarpine‐induced epilepsy rats, the expression of SLITRK5 was increased at 24 h after status epilepticus (SE), with a relatively high level within 30 days, and reached the peak on the 7th day after SE. Our preliminary results revealed that SLITRK5 may have a potential relationship with epilepsy, which may be a foundation for the further study of the underlying mechanism between SLITRK5 and epilepsy and the therapeutic targets of antiepileptic drugs. We have found that SLITRK5 is widely expressed in the neurons both in patients with TLE and epilepsy rats. In addition, compared with nonepileptic controls, the expression of SLITRK5 was upregulated in the temporal neocortex of TLE patients. And in the brain of epilepsy rats, the expression of SLITRK5 was increased at 24 h after seizures, with a relatively high level within 30 days, and reached the peak on the 7th day after seizures. Primary liver cancer is the sixth most commonly diagnosed cancer and the third leading cause of cancer death. Advances in sequencing technology are opening genomics to widespread application for diagnosis and research. The poor prognosis of advanced HCC warrants a personalized approach. The objective was to assess the value of genotyping for risk stratification and prognostication of HCC. We performed a systematic review of manuscripts published on MEDLINE from 1 January 2009 to 1 January 2022, addressing the value of genotyping for HCC risk stratification and prognostication. Publication information for each has been collected using a standardized data extraction form. Twenty‐five articles were analysed. This study showed that various genomics approaches (i.e., NGS, SNP, CASP or polymorphisms in circadian genes' association) provided predictive and prognostic information, such as disease control rate, median progression‐free survival, and shorter median overall survival. Carbon dioxide capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) is one of the essential approaches to achieving permanent CO2 emission reduction. A new idea of absorbing and mineralizing CO2 with industrial wastewater and converting activated calcium into micron CaCO3 powder is proposed in this paper, which synchronizes water softening and CO2 fixation. Therefore, this paper investigated the characteristics of circulating water quality in the iron and steel industry and the transformation behaviors of CO2 capture by activated calcium to CaCO3 powder in the mild aqueous environment under different process parameters. The phase composition, morphology, and particle size distribution (PSD) of CaCO3 powder were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), and (laser particle size analyzer) LPSA, respectively. In addition, a green integrated cycle system for industrial water capture of mineralized CO2 was preliminarily constructed, which provides a reference method for carbon reduction and economic utilization of carbon sources in an industrial system. To investigate the influence of the aluminum (Al) powder sizes on shock initiation of aluminized hexahydro-1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazine (RDX), shock initiation experiments were carried out. The experimental results show that as the Al constituent size decreases, a rapid increase in the propagation velocity of the precursory shock waves enhances the peak pressures, shortens the time intervals between the peak pressures and the arrival times of precursory shock waves, and improves the shock sensitivity of the aluminized RDX. Consequently, to predict and evaluate the stability of aluminized RDX with small-size Al powder, a microscopic reaction rate model for shock initiation was established. This model includes the pore collapse model of a double-layered spherical shell structure composed of an RDX spherical shell and a mixture (of Al powder and binders) spherical shell and the reaction model of Al powder in RDX decomposition products under the effect of shock waves and thermal energy released by RDX. The simulation results show that when the diameter of the Al powder is about 1/5 or less of the size of the base explosive (RDX) particles, the microscopic reaction rate model can accurately simulate the shock initiation process of aluminized RDX. By the application of the Schwinger function, the deconfinement in massive quantum electrodynamics in (2 + 1) -dimensional (QED3) is investigated. It is shown that oscillating behavior of the Schwinger function gradually disappears with fermion mass increasing based on coupled Dyson–Schwinger equations in massive QED3. On the other hand, we have shown that the confined fermion transfers gradually into the phase of deconfinement with the increasing boson mass, which is consistent with the result in the case of massless QED3. A material generally contracts transversely when stretched along one direction. A few materials exhibit unusual auxeticity, which is rarely observed in planar two‐dimensional materials. Herein, a planar graphene allotrope ω‐graphene with a highly negative Poisson's ratio is proposed. ω‐Graphene possesses excellent mechanical properties and exhibits a unique highly negative Poisson's ratio of −0.17 along the crystallographic armchair direction, which is six times larger than that of graphene. Additionally, ω‐graphene exhibits intrinsic semimetallic characteristics with a Dirac cone located at 0.08 eV below the Fermi level. In particular, the Dirac cone of ω‐graphene persists throughout the entire strain range. The enormous diversity between the Chinese and Western cultures led to two different visual principles. Western visuality followed the perspective based on the retina, while the Chinese painters used the "far and near method" (yuanjin fa 遠近法). Before the twentieth century, the representation and dissemination of Chinese gardens at the visual level were dominated by traditional landscape painting. However, the Chinese gardens' visual representation gradually shifted from traditional landscape painting to Western cartographic techniques (site survey and photography) after the Opium War (1840–1860). When studying the history of Chinese gardens, images provide a symbolic reference for interpreting the past of these gardens as crucial visual evidence. This article uses the visual evidence of classical Chinese gardens as a medium to reveal the influence and role of Western-centric theories on Chinese culture. Highly transparent yttria ceramics were fabricated by pressureless sintering with Nb2O5 or Ta2O5 as a novel sintering additive. The optical transmittance, microstructural evolution, and thermo‐mechanical properties of the samples were investigated. The optimal doping concentrations of Nb2O5 and Ta2O5 are 0.3 and 0.2 at.%, respectively, which are much lower compared to those of previously reported counterparts. The transmittance of the sample with 0.3 at.% Nb2O5 reaches 81.6% at 1100 nm and 72.4% at 400 nm (2 mm in thickness), similar transmittance was obtained in the sample with 0.2 at.% Ta2O5. The microhardness (∼7 GPa), fracture toughness (∼0.85 MPa·m1/2), and biaxial strength (∼200 MPa) of the present samples were confirmed to be comparable or even better compared to those of previously reported transparent yttria ceramics fabricated by pressureless sintering. Furthermore, the present samples, by virtue of the low doping concentrations, possessed relatively high thermal conductivity values (>10 W/m·K), which substantially guaranteed high thermal shock resistance. The emerging field of robotics education (RE) is a new and rapidly growing subject area worldwide. It may provide a playful and novel learning environment for children to engage with all aspects of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) learning. The purpose of this research is to examine how robotics learning activities may affect the cognitive abilities and cognitive processes of 6–8 years old children. The study adopted the mixed methods approach with a repeated measures design; three waves of data collection over 6 months, including quantitative data obtained from cognitive assessments and eye-tracking, and qualitative data from the interviews. A total of 31 children were recruited from an afterschool robotics program. To the best of our knowledge, this study is the first RE research that used a combination of eye-tracking, cognitive assessments, and interviews for examining the effect of RE on children. Using linear growth models, the results of cognitive assessments showed that children's visuospatial working memory as well as logical and abstract reasoning skills improved over time. The interview data were analyzed by a thematic analysis. The results revealed that children perceived RE activities as game play, which made children more engaged in their study; parents found their children to be more focused on activities comparing to six months ago. Additionally, the visualization of the eye-tracking data suggested that children became more focused on RE activities and got faster to process the information across six months in general, which echoed the findings in assessments and interviews. Ganoderma lucidum possesses a variety of valuable pharmacological activities, and it has long been used to prevent and treat various human diseases. Up to now, far too little attention has been paid to the liquid spawn of G. lucidum, and the development of the G. lucidum industry is constrained by them. This work aimed to study the key technologies and scale-up preparation of G. lucidum liquid spawn, to achieve large-scale preparation of liquid spawn and solve the problem of unstable quality of G. lucidum. The plate culture, primary shake flask culture, shake flask preparation, and fermentor preparation of G. lucidum liquid spawn were explored in the process of liquid fermentation. The results showed that plate broth volume significantly affected mycelial growth rate. Biomass in the primary shake flask culture is significantly influenced by the picking position of plate mycelium. An artificial neural network coupled with a genetic algorithm was used for carbon and nitrogen sources concentration optimization to increase biomass and substrate utilization. The optimized parameter combination is as follows: glucose, 14.5 g L−1; yeast extract powder, 8.5 g L−1. Under this condition, the biomass (9.82 g L−1) and biomass on reducing sugar (0.79 g g−1) increased by 18.03% and 27.41% compared to the control, respectively. The metabolic activity of liquid spawn prepared by different fermentation scales was diverse, and the liquid spawn prepared by the fermentor has better activity. Background: Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is a type of head and neck cancer with high incidence in China. The molecular mechanisms of vasculogenic mimicry (VM) and angiogenesis are not fully elucidated in NPC. More specially, it has seldomly been reported that Epstein–Barr virus‐encoded miRNA can regulate VM and angiogenesis in NPC. The aim of this study was to investigate the function and molecular mechanism of a targeting exosome system (iRGD‐exo‐antagomiR) against VM and angiogenesis in NPC, and to provide new approaches for improving the comprehensive treatment of NPC. Methods: Exosomes were isolated by differential ultracentrifugation. Dynamic light scattering, transmission electron microscopy and western blotting were performed to characterize the exosomes. The 3D‐Culture assay, tube formation assay, chicken chorioallantoic membrane assay, Matrigel plug assay, mouse xenograft tumor modeling and immunohistochemical staining were applied to evaluate the anti‐VM and anti‐angiogenic effects of the targeting exosome system in vitro and in vivo. Western blot was performed to detect the changes of downstream regulated networks following interference and recovery of the target gene. Results: In vitro or in vivo treatment with iRGD‐tagged exosome containing antagomiR‐BART1‐5p specifically suppressed VM and angiogenesis in NPC. EBV‐miR‐BART1‐5p promoted VM and angiogenesis in vitro and in vivo by regulating VEGF, PI3K, Akt, mTOR and HIF1‐α in a Spry2‐dependent manner. Conclusions: Our findings demonstrated that targeting exosomes enveloped EBV‐miR‐BART1‐5p‐antagomiRs in a Spry2‐dependent manner for NPC therapy through both anti‐VM and anti‐angiogenesis in vitro and in vivo. Carbonatite intrusions host the world's most important light rare earth element (LREE) deposits, and their formation generally requires extraordinary fertile sources, magmatic evolution, and hydrothermal events. However, carbonatitic magma evolution, particularly the role of fractional crystallization and contamination from silicate rocks in REE enrichment, remains enigmatic. The Maoniuping world-class REE deposit in southwestern China, is an ideal target to decipher magmatic evolution and related REE enrichment as it shows continuous textual evolution from medium- to coarse-grained calcite carbonatite (carbonatite I) at depth, to progressively pegmatoidal calcite carbonatite (carbonatite II) at shallow levels. In both types of calcite carbonatites, four generations of calcite can be classified according to petrographic and geochemical characteristics. Early-crystalizing calcite (Cal-I and Cal-II) are found in carbonatite I and exhibit equigranular and a polygonal mosaic textures, while late calcites (Cal-III and Cal-IV) in carbonatite II are large-size oikocrysts (>0.5 mm in length) with strain-induced undulatory extinction and bent twinning lamellae. All these generations of calcite yield similar, near-chondritic, Y/Ho ratios (26.6–28.1) and are inferred to be of magmatic origin. Remarkably, gradual enrichment of MgO, FeO and MnO from Cal-I to Cal-IV is coupled with a significant increase in REE contents (~800 to 2000 ppm), with LREE-rich and gentle-to-steep chondrite-normalized REE patterns ((La/Yb)N = 3.1–26.8 and (La/Sm)N = 0.9–3.9, respectively). Such significant REE enrichment is ascribed to protracted magma fractional crystallization with initial low degree of fractional crystallization (fraction of melt remining (F) = ~0.95) evolving to late stage (F = 0.5–0.6) by formation of abundant calcite cumulates. Differential LREE and HREE behavior during magma evolution largely depend on separation of phlogopite, amphibole, and clinopyroxene from the carbonatitic melt, which is indicated by progressively elevated (La/Yb)N ratios ranging from 3.1 to 26.8. The four generations of calcite have significantly different C and Sr isotopic compositions with δ13CV-PDB decreasing from −3.28 to −9.97‰ and 87Sr/86Sr increasing from 0.70613 to 0.70670. According to spatial relations and petrographic observations, the relative enrichment of δ13C and depletion in 87Sr/86Sr ratios of Cal-I and Cal-II show primary isotopic characteristics inherited from initial carbonatitic magma. By contrast, the variable Sr and C isotopic compositions of Cal-III and Cal-IV are interpreted as the results of contamination by components derived from silicate wall rocks and loss of CO2 by decarbonation reactions. To model such contamination processes, Raleigh volatilization and Monte Carlo simulation have been invoked and the model results reveal that carbonatitic melt-wall rock interaction requires 40% radiogenic Sr contamination from silicate rocks and 35% CO2 degassing from carbonatitic melt. Moreover, positive correlations between decreasing δ13C values and increasing REE contents, together with bastnäsite-(Ce) precipitation, indicate further REE accumulation during the contamination processes. In summary, alongside REE-rich magma sources, the extent of fractional crystallization and contamination during carbonatitic magma evolution are inferred to be important mechanisms in terms of REE enrichment and mineralization in carbonatite-related REE deposits worldwide. To develop and test the psychometric properties of a responsive feeding questionnaire (RFQ) on the basis of Self-Determination Theory for caregivers of toddlers aged 12–24 months in China. Item generation, preliminary evaluation items, refinement questionnaire, and psychometric properties testing. Toddlers' caregivers from Shandong Province, China, were surveyed online between June 2021 and February 2022 (n = 616). Content, face, and construct validity and reliability of the RFQ. Content validity was performed on the basis of expert panel feedback and cognitive interviews among caregivers. Construct validity was evaluated using principal component analysis with varimax rotation. Test-retest reliability was conducted with a sample of 105 caregivers. Over 3 phases of testing, a new instrument was developed to measure responsive feeding in toddler caregivers. The instrument was reliable, with an internal consistency of 0.87 and an intraclass correlation of 0.92. The principal component analysis identified a 3-factor solution (autonomy support, positive involvement, appropriate response) aligning with a theoretical framework from Self-Determination Theory. The final version of the instrument included 23 items. The 23-item RFQ has been validated in a Chinese population. Eugenol, as a natural plant extract, has biological activities such as anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and antibacterial effects. The article reviews the improvement of intestinal barrier function by syringic acid and its application in livestock and poultry production, aiming to elucidate the role of syringic acid in improving intestinal health and enhancing production performance in livestock and poultry. A phytochemical study of the ethanol extract of Astragalus membranaceus (Fisch) Bge. var. mongholicus (Bge) Hsiao resulted in the isolation of seven new triterpenoid saponins, astralanosaponins F–L, together with fifteen known compounds (8–22). Structure analysis of these extracted compounds was performed using 1D-NMR and 2D-NMR spectroscopy, and their data were compared with those of similar compounds previously reported in the literature. The absolute configuration of sugar was determined using GC-MS. The cell viability of SV40 MES 13 cells induced by high glucose was tested using the CCK-8 assay. Compound 19 showed obvious inhibitory effects of the high-glucose induced SV40 MES 13 cells with IC50 values of 12.2 ± 1.29 μM, while compounds 5 and 9 showed moderate inhibitory effects with IC50 less than 30 μM. Background: Higher baseline intakes of flavonoid-rich foods and beverages are associated with a lower risk of chronic disease and mortality in observational studies. However, associations between changes in intakes and mortality remain unclear. We aimed to evaluate associations between 8-year changes in intakes of (1) individual flavonoid-rich foods and (2) a composite measure (termed the 'flavodiet') of foods and beverages that are known to be main contributors to flavonoid intake and subsequent total and cause-specific mortality. Methods: We evaluated associations between 8-year changes in intakes of (1) individual flavonoid-rich foods and (2) a novel 'flavodiet' score and total and cause-specific mortality. We included 55,786 females from the Nurses' Health Study (NHS) and 29,800 males from the Health Professionals Follow-up Study (HPFS), without chronic disease at baseline in our analyses. Using multivariable-adjusted Cox proportional hazard models, we examined associations of 8-year changes in intakes of (1) flavonoid-rich foods and (2) the flavodiet score with subsequent 2-year lagged 6-year risk of mortality adjusting for baseline intakes. Data were pooled using fixed-effects meta-analyses. Results: We documented 15,293 deaths in the NHS and 8988 deaths in HPFS between 1986 and 2018. For blueberries, red wine and peppers, a 5%, 4% and 9% lower risk of mortality, respectively, was seen for each 3.5 servings/week increase in intakes while for tea, a 3% lower risk was seen for each 7 servings/week increase [Pooled HR (95% CI) for blueberries; 0.95 (0.91, 0.99); red wine: 0.96 (0.93, 0.99); peppers: 0.91 (0.88, 0.95); and tea: 0.97 (0.95, 0.98)]. Conversely, a 3.5 servings/week increase in intakes of onions and grapefruit plus grapefruit juice was associated with a 5% and 6% higher risk of total mortality, respectively. An increase of 3 servings per day in the flavodiet score was associated with an 8% lower risk of total mortality [Pooled HR: 0.92 (0.89, 0.96)], and a 13% lower risk of neurological mortality [Pooled HR: 0.87 (0.79, 0.97)], after multivariable adjustments. Conclusions: Encouraging an increased intake of specific flavonoid-rich foods and beverages, namely tea, blueberries, red wine, and peppers, even in middle age, may lower early mortality risk.
