Uniconazole (UNZ) can alleviate a variety of abiotic stresses such as low temperature. With application of UNZ on Coix lachryma‐jobi L. (coix) under low‐temperature stress, growth and physiological parameters were investigated in seedlings. Meanwhile, transcriptome profile in coix seedlings was characterized as well. The results showed an increase of 11.90%, 13.59%, and 10.98% in stem diameter, the aboveground and belowground biomass in 5 mg/L uniconazole application group (U3), compared with control check low‐temperature group (CKL). Some anti‐oxidase activities also show significant difference between CKL and U3 (p <.05). Transcriptome results showed that 3,901 and 1,040 genes had different expression level at control check (CK) and CKL, CKL and U3. A considerable number of different expressing genes (DEGs) related to the plant hormone signal transduction, photosynthesis, reactive oxygen species (ROS)‐related genes, and secondary metabolism in response to uniconazole application were identified in this study. The transcriptomic gene expression profiles present a valuable genomic tool to improve studying the molecular mechanisms underlying low‐temperature tolerance in coix. A manganese dioxide (MnO2) film is electrodeposited onto a gold-coated quartz crystal electrode by a galvanostatic method. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) image shows that the electrodeposited MnO2 film consists of nanorods with diameters of 15–20 nm. The cyclic voltammetric (CV) and electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance (EQCM) results demonstrate that the MnO2 electrodes exhibit similar specific capacitance (SC) and mass-to-charge ratios (MCR) in those electrolytes that contain the same cation but different anions. However, the SC and MCR are different in those electrolytes that contain the same anion but different cations. The SC of MnO2 electrodes increases with a decrease of the cationic radius and an increase of the cationic charge. The smaller the cationic radius, the smaller the deviation of the MCR from the equivalent weight (EW) of the cation. The results illustrate that the pseudocapacitive charge storage mechanism of MnO2 involves the cation in the electrolyte and its intercalation/deintercalation, which are affected by the charge number and the cationic radius. A large body of evidence indicates that patients with panic disorder(PD) report more obvious alexithymia, and previous studies suggest genetic factors may be play an important role in alexithymia. This study aims to examine the association between the Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) Val66Met polymorphism and alexithymia, and then to evaluate the association of the BDNFVal66Met polymorphism with PD risk. 223 patients with PD and 218 healthy controls were enrolled in the study. The Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20), and Panic Disorder Severity Scale (PDSS) were administered to all subjects. And genotyping of the BDNF Val 66Met polymorphism was evaluated. Our results showed that both PD patients and normal controls with the BDNF Met/Met genotype had significantly higher total and difficulty describing feelings(DDF) subdimension scores on the TAS-20 than those with the Val/Val genotype.The patients with the BDNF Met/Met genotype were more severity of anticipatory anxiety than patients with Val/Val genotype. Coronary heart disease is a serious threat to human health. In China, medical care for the population has been focused on therapy with little follow-up of treated patients. The efficacy of therapy; however, is highly dependent on post-therapy recovery. Cardiac rehabilitation can significantly enhance patient physical strength and help delay and prevent the development of coronary atherosclerosis. Although the clinical significance of cardiac rehabilitation has been established, the compliance of patients is generally low. In efforts to improve patient compliance, domestic and foreign researchers have extensively studied and applied treatment models of cardiac rehabilitation according to the specific conditions and cultural background of each country. This study aimed to review the treatment models of cardiac rehabilitation in patients with coronary heart disease and related factors affecting patient compliance to provide a better perspective of how patients with coronary heart disease can benefit from cardiac rehabilitation. NLRC3, a member of the NLR family, has been reported as a negative regulator of inflammatory signaling pathways in innate immune cells. However, the direct role of NLRC3 in modulation of CD4+ T-cell responses in infectious diseases has not been studied. In the present study, we showed that NLRC3 plays an intrinsic role by suppressing the CD4+ T cell phenotype in lung and spleen, including differentiation, activation, and proliferation. NLRC3 deficiency in CD4+ T cells enhanced the protective immune response against Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. Finally, we demonstrated that NLRC3 deficiency promoted the activation, proliferation, and cytokine production of CD4+ T cells via negatively regulating the NF-κB and MEK-ERK signaling pathways. This study reveals a critical role of NLRC3 as a direct regulator of the adaptive immune response and its protective effects on immunity during M. tuberculosis infection. Abstract: This study investigated whether and how a person's varied series of lexical categories corresponding to different discriminatory characteristics of the same colors affect his or her perception of colors. In three experiments, Chinese participants were primed to categorize four graduated colors—specifically dark green, light green, light blue, and dark blue—into green and blue; light color and dark color; and dark green, light green, light blue, and dark blue. The participants were then required to complete a visual search task. Reaction times in the visual search task indicated that different lateralized categorical perceptions (CPs) of color corresponded to the various priming situations. These results suggest that all of the lexical categories corresponding to different discriminatory characteristics of the same colors can influence people's perceptions of colors and that color perceptions can be influenced differently by distinct types of lexical categories depending on the context. Nanotunnels inserted hierarchical-porous carbon (NTHPC) have been synthesized successfully via a MnO 2 -introduced-tunnels strategy using MnO 2 nanorods as template, with agar and β-cyclodextrin serving as hybrid carbon precursors. The as-prepared NTHPC possesses a higher specific surface area of 1441 m 2 g −1 , a moderate pore volume of 1.23 cm 3 g −1 , and the hierarchical-porous structure with inserted nanotunnels. Transmission electron microscopy has demonstrated that the width of the nanotunnels is between 20 and 100 nm, and the length ranges from 0.2 to 2.0 μm. Tests in a three-electrode system showed that the NTHPC has high specific capacitance (253.1 F g −1 , 5 mV s −1 ), as well as good rate capability (203.3 F g −1 , 100 mV s −1 ) and excellent cycling stability. More importantly, an assembled symmetric supercapacitor with NTHPC electrodes delivered an outstanding energy density of up to 34.9 Wh kg −1 with power density of 755.2 W kg −1 . The remarkable electrochemical performance of the NTHPC is ascribed to the nanotunnels, which act as ion reservoirs and liquid transfer channels that can increase the ion transport rate and shorten the ion transfer distance. Perovskite photodetectors are fabricated via structuring a perovskite/organic heterojunction with CH3NH3PbI3 and a high-mobility and stable organic semiconductor dioctylbenzothieno [2,3-b] benzothiophene (C8BTBT), which possess broad range photoresponse from ultraviolet to near-infrared, fast response, and excellent stability. The CH3NH3PbI3/C8BTBT heterojunction photodetectors exhibit an excellent ratio of photocurrent to dark current, Ilight/ Idark, as high as 2.4 × 104, a high responsivity up to 24.8 AW−1, and a fast response of about 4.0 ms. Meanwhile, the photodetectors can maintain 90% performance even exposed in ambient condition without encapsulation for 20 d. In addition, the detailed mechanism is disclosed based on ultraviolet photoemission spectroscopy, steady-state photoluminescence (PL) spectra, and PL lifetime experiments. The C8BTBT layer acts as an efficient hole-extraction layer to let the holes quickly transport to the electrodes due to its perfect filling in the gaps between perovskite grains, as well as its intrinsic high mobility and the energy-level match with the CH3NH3PbI3. The stable C8BTBT layer can well play as a waterproof layer as well to prevent the perovskite CH3NH3PbI3 from the degradation. In this work, three-dimensional (3D) porous reduced graphene oxide (rGO) is prepared by means of a microwave-hydrothermal method, and then MnO2 is introduced in situ and anchored into the pores of the 3D-rGO through a novel vacuum-impregnation method to obtain the 3D-rGO/MnO2 nanocomposite. SEM images show the honeycomb structure of the 3D-rGO/MnO2, and MnO2 is tightly anchored on the surface and into the pores of 3D-rGO. 3D-rGO/MnO2 nanocomposite electrodes display excellent electrochemical capacitive behavior, owing to the synergetic effect between the porous 3D-rGO with high conductivity and MnO2 with high theoretical capacitance. The 3D-rGO/MnO2-5 sample, with an optimum MnO2 content of (53.1%), gives the highest specific capacitance (278.5 F g−1 at 1 A g−1) and good rate capability. This sample also has remarkable cycling stability (93.5% capacitance retention after 10000 cycles). The 3D-rGO/MnO2 nanocomposite could be considered as a potential candidate for supercapacitor electrode materials. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: The aim of the present study was to examine the association between childhood trauma (CT), alexithymia, and panic symptom severity in patients with panic disorder (PD). Moreover, the effect of specific subtypes of CT on alexithymia and panic symptom severity was also investigated.Methods: 142 patients with PD and 146 healthy age-matched and sex-matched controls were enrolled in the study. The Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV axis I (SCID-I), Childhood Trauma Questionnaire-28 item Short Form (CTQ-28), Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20), and Panic Disorder Severity Scale (PDSS) were administered to all subjects. The relationships among CT subtypes, alexithymia, and panic symptom severity were investigated using Pearson's correlation analysis. The types of CT that predict alexithymia and panic symptom severity were also investigated using Regression analyses.Results: PD patients showed higher scores on reporting all kinds of CT except sexual abuse. In addition, the TAS-20, DIF (difficulty identifying feelings) and DDF (difficulty describing feelings) scores were significantly higher in patients with PD than in controls. Significant positive correlations were noted among CT, alexithymia and panic symptoms severity. Results of regression analyses showed alexithymia as a mediator between the different types of CT and panic disorder severity, except sexual abuse.Limitations: Although self-report questionnaires are reliable and widely used, the phenomenon of patients who underreport or overreport their symptoms cannot be ignored.Conclusion: The present study showed that CT and alexithymia are more common in patients with PD and impact the severity of panic symptoms.
