The article offers tips on preventing sports injuries in canine athletes. A good body structure is important to preventing injuries when competing. There is a need for pet owners to screen their puppies for abnormalities such as hip and elbow dysplasia. Injuries can also be prevented by doing warm ups prior to exercising. Warm-up options include stretching its muscles via a massage, a walk or simple stretches. Grooming is also important in preventing injuries in canine athletes.
