With the rapid development of urban regionalization and networking of high-speed transport, intercity travel has increasingly played a key role in China's economic and social development and socioeconomic functional connections. However, amidst global change and uncertainty, the event disturbance-oriented theory and empirical research on intercity travel is still insufficient to improve the ability of transportation systems to cope with disturbances. Since uncertainty is prevalent in transport operations, improving Intercity Travel Behavior Resilience (ITBR) and grasping the spatiotemporal pattern of demand-side intercity travel fluctuation to restrain risk is essential for resilient transport construction. Based on related theories and analysis methods of spatial interaction and intercity travel, this study refines the definition of ITBR. A measurement model of ITBR was constructed based on long-term intercity travel data and the general properties of disturbance events. Furthermore, COVID-19 disturbance was used as a case study to reveal the adaptive pattern of intercity travel and the spatiotemporal pattern of ITBR over three years. The results show that the evaluation of ITBR based on seasonal and holiday trends reveal spatiotemporal patterns of intercity travel fluctuations influenced by disturbance events. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on intercity travel is as follows: peak of the national pandemic > peak of the Omicron variant > peak of the multipoint fluctuation. The intensity of intercity travel decreased linearly with an increase in distance, and intercity travel during the three stages is lost by 0.86, 1.03, 1.15 percentage points, respectively, with an increase of 50 km. The average intercity travel distances of residents in these three stages were shortened by 52.55, 65.31, and 105.16 km, respectively. The value of ITBR decreased from the multipoint fluctuation period to the national pandemic period because of the Omicron outbreak. Overall, ITBR showed a gradual increasing trend during the study period. Meanwhile, ITBR in these three stages was characterized by obvious spatial differentiation and regional agglomeration. Compared to existing research, this study further expands existing research focusing on intra-city travel behavior resilience by exploring ITBR on the regional scale.

Panax japonicus has long been utilized as an herbal remedy in Chinese traditional medicine for treating various diseases. In this investigation, we present the environmentally friendly silver nanoparticle (AgNP) synthesis by the aqueous extract of P. japonicas to follow its cardioprotective effects. Through various analytical methods, we identified the nanoparticles (NPs). Our XRD findings revealed the formation of Ag@P. japonicus, while FE-SEM imagery indicated a spherical shape, with NPs measuring less than 40 nm. The UV–Vis and FT-IR spectroscopy confirm the green synthesis of Ag@P. japonicus. In the medicinal section, 45 Wistar rats were utilized. These groups consisted of a normal group, a group that was solely treated with isoproterenol for inducing myocardial infarction, and two groups that were pretreated with AgNPs at different doses for 14 days. These pretreated groups were then challenged with isoproterenol. The expression of PI3K/Akt/mTOR and other downstream inflammatory and apoptotic mediators were followed. Additionally, the expression of Keap1, Nrf2, ECG, cardiac markers, and other downstream antioxidant enzymes were assessed. Treatment with AgNPs ameliorated the apoptosis, inflammation, and myocardial autophagy, regulated the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway, increased the antioxidant enzyme efficacies, and activated the Keap1/Nrf2/HO-1 pathway. The findings suggest that AgNPs may have a cardioprotective efficacy on myocardial infarction by mitigating the Keap1/Nrf2 pathway, GST, GPx, GSH, SOD, IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, NF-κB, Bax, Bcl2, caspase-9, caspase-3, and PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway. Furthermore, the treatment decreased the infarct region size, attenuated the cardiac indicators levels, and mitigated immune cell infiltration and myocardial necrosis.

Ammonia is a promising carbon-free energy carrier. Ammonia is usually industrially synthesized via the Haber–Bosch method under high pressures and temperatures, which requires high energy consumption. In comparison, the electrocatalytic reduction of N2 is a green, eco-friendly, and pollution-free method for ammonia synthesis if the electricity is generated using a renewable source. Therefore, the development of highly efficient electrocatalysts for the N2 reduction reaction (NRR) would be significant. Herein, perovskites SrxTi0.6Fe0.4O3−δ (SxTF, x = 1 and 0.9) with tunable oxygen vacancies (OVs) were prepared and used as NRR electrodes for proton-conducting solid oxide electrolysis cells (PCECs). These PCECs were used to synthesize NH3 from N2 and H2. STF and S0.9TF showed maximum ammonia synthesis rates of 6.84 × 10−9 (±0.25 × 10−9) mol cm−2 s−1 and 4.09 × 10−9 (±0.80 × 10−9) mol cm−2 s−1, with corresponding Faraday efficiencies of 2.79% (±0.12%) and 2.01% (±0.09%) at 650 °C and 0.6 V. The enhanced NRR performance of S0.9TF was mainly attributed to the improved adsorption and activation of N2 by the abundant OVs, Ti3+ and the exsolved Fe active particles. ObjectiveTo investigate the molecular and biological characteristics of Vibrio vulnificus （V. vulnificus）isolated from Guangzhou.MethodsThirty-eight strains of V. vulnificus were collected from Guangzhou， and whole-genome sequences were obtained. The population structure of V. vulnificus was inferred by utilizing 50 publicly available genome sequences obtained from NCBI. FineSTRUCTURE software was employed for this analysis. Antibiotic resistance and virulence factors were identified using CARD， ResFinder， and VFDB databases.ResultsFour well-supported phylogenetic groups or lineages （L1-L4） were identified， and all genomes of the strains in Guangzhou were classified into L1 （47%） and L2 （53%）. The predominant ST were ST357， ST157， ST136， ST139， ST345， ST303， and so on， which showed regional aggregation. Multiple genome identification of V. vulnificus revealed 11 drug resistance genes： acrF， CRP， catB9， rpoC， ugd， and others. MCR genes related to polymyxin resistance were identified in V. vulnificus for the first time. The species also carries 23 virulence genes in five classes encoding flagellin， type Ⅱ secretory system protein， capsular polysaccharide， RtxA toxin， iron overload， and other virulence-related genes.ConclusionVibrio vulnificus in Guangzhou undergoes highly homologous recombination and carries a variety of antimicrobial resistance genes and virulence-related genes. Therefore， monitoring and management of Vibrio vulnificus should be strengthened.

Cranes are widely deployed for lifting and moving heavy objects in dynamic environments with human coexistence. Suddenly appeared workers, vehicles, and robots can affect the safety of the cranes. To avoid possible collisions, the cranes must have prediction ability to know how dangerous the situation is. In this paper, we address the safety issues of bridge cranes based on its online physical states and control model. Due to the swing of the payload, the safe braking distance cannot be a constant value. Therefore, we here propose a model prediction control (MPC)‐based anti‐swing method for non‐zero initial states, where a new reference trajectory and a new cost function for optimization are proposed, such that the proposed MPC method can control the crane to follow the proposed reference trajectory and achieve a stable stop state with anti‐swing. Furthermore, an offline learning mechanism is introduced to learn a statistical model between the velocity of the crane and the safe braking distance achieved by using the proposed MPC braking control method. In this way, we can predict how far the crane would require to safely stop without swing based on its current velocity, which is the safe distance prediction to evaluate the dangerous level of the dynamic obstacle. Experiments using both a simulated crane and a real crane demonstrate that the proposed safe braking distance prediction method is effective for safe braking control of the bridge cranes. Macrophages are crucial effectors of innate immunity against the pathogenic bacterium Listeria monocytogenes. The pro-inflammatory cytokine tumour necrosis factor-α (TNF) has been shown to be crucial for resistance to L. monocytogenes and mice deficient in TNF signalling succumb quickly after infection. However, the mechanisms underlying TNF-mediated defence against L. monocytogenes infection have not been completely elucidated. Here, we demonstrate that TNF concurrently functions to support a pro-inflammatory M1 phenotype while actively blocking macrophage polarization to the M2 phenotype. Compared to WT mice, peritoneal macrophages in TNF-deficient mice inoculated with L. monocytogenes respond with M2 polarization by upregulating Arg1. Consistently, TNF blockade in vitro resulted in M2 polarization in peritoneal macrophages during L. monocytogenes infection. Additionally, TNF promotes the transition from M2 to M1 polarization in peritoneal macrophages. Further investigation of peritoneal macrophage polarization suggested the NF-κB pathway is involved in the TNF-dependent M2 to M1 shift. Conversely, treatment of peritoneal macrophage with a PPARγ agonist blunted the expression of M1 genes induced by TNF and reduced NF-κB signalling pathway activation. Competing signalling mechanisms therefore play an essential role in the ability of peritoneal macrophage to resolve L. monocytogenes infections with TNF playing an essential role in driving M1 polarization.
