Sweet corn is one of the most popular crops in Southeast Asian countries, including Indonesia. Superior sweet corn varieties breeding is important to do in order to improve the quality and productivity of sweet corn in Indonesia. Plant breeding programs rely on genetic quality variability and heritability information. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the performance and genetic variablity of various sweet corn inbred lines to determine the best prospective parents for hybridization. The study was conducted at the Leuwikoppo experimental field of the Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, IPB, from January to March 2022. Twelve sweet corn inbred lines were planted in the field using a completely randomized block design with three replications. Analysis of variance, estimation of the genetic parameters, broad sense heritability, genetic and phenotypic coefficients variability and cluster analysis were carried out in this study. The results showed that there were differences in qualitative and quantitative characters between the tested sweet corn genotypes. Plant height, ear height, stem diameter, ear length, and ear weight had a high broad sense heritability and moderate to high of genetic coefficients of variability. SM12-2 and T10-3 lines become the prospective parents generating a high cob weight and seed sweetness. ABSTRAK Jagung manis merupakan salah satu tanaman yang sangat populer di negara-negara Asia tenggara, termasuk Indonesia. Hal ini menjadikan perakitan varietas unggul jagung manis dengan produktivitas dan kualitas tinggi perlu dilakukan. Informasi keragaman genetik sangat penting dalam program pemuliaan tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi keragaan dan keragaman genetik berbagai galur jagung manis sehingga dapat diperoleh tetua potensial untuk pembentukan hibrida F1 jagung manis. Percobaan dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Leuwikoppo, Departmen Agronomi, Fakultas Pertanian, IPB, dari bulan Januari sampai Maret 2022. Sebanyak 12 galur murni jagung manis ditanam menggunakan rancangan kelompok lengkap teracak dengan 3 ulangan. Data diolah dengan menggunakan analisis ragam, pendugaan parameter genetik komponen ragam, heritabilitas arti luas, koefisien keragaman genotipik dan fenotipik serta analisis kluster. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan pada karakter kualitatif dan kuantitatif diantara galur jagung manis yang diuji. Selain itu, diperoleh informasi bahwa karakter tinggi tanaman, tinggi tongkol, diameter batang, panjang tongkol, dan bobot tongkol memiliki nilai heritabilitas yang tinggi serta nilai koefisien keragaman genetik kategori moderat sampai tinggi. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, galur jagung manis SM12-2 dan T10-3 merupakan tetua yang potensial menghasilkan bobot tongkol dan kemanisan biji yang tinggi.

Calomyscidae is a monotypic family of muroid rodents with nine valid allopatric species distributed in southwestern Asia of which seven species have been so far recognized from Iran. The western and southern Zagros Mountains were thought to be home to a single species, Calomyscus bailwardi, but new researches revealed that the region is also home to four highly divergent molecular lineages. One of them was recently described as a new species (C. behzadi) but the taxonomic position of the other lineages remained unclear. Here we did an extensive sampling in southern Iran (2017-2018), during which 99 Calomyscus specimens were collected. Based on an integrated approach including karyotypic, mitochondrial as well as morphological data, we describe Calomyscus kermanensis sp. nov. as a new endemic species from the southern Zagros Mts (including Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Fars, Kerman, Yazd and Hormozgan provinces), in the region that was previously thought to be occupied by C. bailwardi. The new species emerged as a new lineage with high intraspecific mtDNA and chromosome variations. The multivariate and univariate statistical analyses of craniodental measurements also separated C. kermanensis sp. nov. from other examined Calomyscus species with the highest maximum cranial height being the most distinctive of its craniodental features.

Abstract Clean hydrogen production requires large-scale deployment of water-electrolysis technologies, particularly proton-exchange-membrane water electrolyzers (PEMWEs). However, as iridium-based electrocatalysts remain the only practical option for PEMWEs, their low abundance will become a bottleneck for a sustainable hydrogen economy. Herein, we propose high-performing and durable ionomer-free porous transport electrodes (PTEs) with facile recycling features enabling Ir thrifting and reclamation. The ionomer-free porous transport electrodes offer a practical pathway to investigate the role of ionomer in the catalyst layer and, from microelectrode measurements, point to an ionomer poisoning effect for the oxygen evolution reaction. Background and Aim: Colic is among the common health issues in equine health management. Gastrointestinal (GI) disorders are the most frequent causes of colic, but dysfunction of other organs and systems inside the abdominal cavity may also contribute. Therefore, it is crucial to identify risk factors for colic of specific etiologies. This study aimed to examine the incidence, risk factors, and best therapeutic management practices for horses with colic. Materials and Methods: A cohort of 256 horses living in Lamongan, East Java, Indonesia, was randomly recruited based on reports of colic symptoms by owners. Diagnosis and treatment were then conducted with the help of owners. Symptom profiles, risk factors, and therapeutic management strategies were analyzed by Chi-square tests. Results: Of 256 horses enrolled, 217 (84%) were diagnosed with colic, of which 172 (79.3%) were cases of spasmodic colic, 33 (15.2%) of impaction colic, and 12 (5.5%) of intestinal obstruction/displacement. Male sex (χ2 = 16.27; p < 0.001), wheat bran feeding (χ2 = 15.49; p < 0.001), concentrate feed intake >5 kg/day (χ2 = 24.95; p < 0.001), no regular anthelmintic drug treatment (χ2 = 67.24; p < 0.001), GI parasite infection (χ2 = 65.11; p < 0.001), recurrent colic (χ2 = 91.09; p < 0.001), poor body condition score (χ2 = 71.81; p < 0.001), limited daily water access (χ2 = 127.92; p < 0.001), and indications of dental disease (χ2 = 9.03; p < 0.001) were identified as risk factors. The most effective therapies were gastric intubation (χ2 = 153.54; p < 0.001), Vitamin B complex injection (χ2 = 32.09; p < 0.001), fluid therapy (χ2 = 42.59; p < 0.001), and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug injection (NSAID). Conclusion: Colic is highly prevalent among horses in Lamongan, East Java, Indonesia. Proper diet, workload management, regular access to clean drinking water, and dental care can reduce colic risk. Recommended therapies include NSAID injection without other analgesics or spasmolytics, fluid therapy, Vitamin B complex, and gastric intubation.

Abstract Background Follow-up studies on coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) were mainly focused on short-term sequelae in patients with comorbid diseases. The aim of this study was to investigate the pulmonary and extrapulmonary sequelae of moderate to severe COVID-19 in the midterm follow-up of healthy young adults. Methods In this prospective cohort study, we used the hospital information system (HIS) to identify patients who had recovered from moderate to severe COVID-19 without comorbidity. All eligible patients were invited to participate in the study. Participants were asked to fill out a set of questionnaires to evaluate fatigue, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They also underwent chest computed tomography (CT) scan, pulmonary function test (PFT), and tissue doppler imaging (TDI) echocardiography. A blood sample and a 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) were obtained. Results A total of 50 recovered patients and 12 healthy controls were enrolled in the study. Fifteen out of 50 patients received intensive care. Patients had significantly higher fatigue and anxiety scores than controls. PTSD criteria were met in 29 out of 50 patients. Ground glass opacities, nodules, and subpleural lines were the most frequent abnormalities in chest CT scans of patients. Abstract Artificial intelligence (AI) can detect left ventricular systolic dysfunction (LVSD) from electrocardiograms (ECGs). Wearable devices could allow for broad AI-based screening but frequently obtain noisy ECGs. We report a novel strategy that automates the detection of hidden cardiovascular diseases, such as LVSD, adapted for noisy single-lead ECGs obtained on wearable and portable devices. We use 385,601 ECGs for development of a standard and noise-adapted model. For the noise-adapted model, ECGs are augmented during training with random gaussian noise within four distinct frequency ranges, each emulating real-world noise sources. Both models perform comparably on standard ECGs with an AUROC of 0.90. The noise-adapted model performs significantly better on the same test set augmented with four distinct real-world noise recordings at multiple signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs), including noise isolated from a portable device ECG. The standard and noise-adapted models have an AUROC of 0.72 and 0.87, respectively, when evaluated on ECGs augmented with portable ECG device noise at an SNR of 0.5. This approach represents a novel strategy for the development of wearable-adapted tools from clinical ECG repositories.

Abstract Rebalancing the MSCI index is essential information in order to make investment recommendations. This event caused a market reaction that affected the stock price. The research aims to analyze the influence of the MSCI index rebalancing on abnormal returns and trading volume activity of shares in ASEAN-5 countries in 2017-2021. From the test conducted, there was an effective in abnormal returns after the announcement of the index rebalancing on stocks that were indexed. Trading volume activity also showed an increasement in volume of trading in stocks which indexed to the rebalancing. Meanwhile, for the shares of companies that experienced write-offs in the rebalancing index, there was a decline. Furthermore, for the trading volume activity of stocks that experienced additions or deletions in the rebalancing index, it was found an increase in the trading volume of their shares. The results of the hypothesis test show that there is a significant positive abnormal return and significant trading volume activity in stocks that have added to the index. Meanwhile, stocks that have been deleted have the results of hypothesis testing which show that there is a significant negative abnormal return and a significant trading volume activity. Pengumuman ini menimbulkan reaksi pasar yang berpengaruh terhadap harga saham. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji pengaruh pengumuman rebalancing indeks MSCI terhadap abnormal return dan trading volume activity saham di negara ASEAN-5 pada tahun 2017-2021. Pengujian dilakukan dengan metode event study. Dari hasil pengujian, terdapat peningkatan abnormal return sesudah pengumuman rebalancing indeks terhadap saham yang mengalami penambahan pada indeks. Hasil yang sama juga terjadi pada trading volume activity dimana terdapat peningkatan volume perdagangan pada saham yang mengalami penambahan pada rebalancing indeks. Sedangkan untuk saham perusahaan yang mengalami penghapusan pada rebalancing indeks terdapat penurunan. Selanjutnya untuk trading volume activity saham yang mengalami penambahan maupun penghapusan pada rebalancing indeks ditemukan peningkatan volume perdagangan sahamnya. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukan bahwa terdapat abnormal return yang signifikan positif dan trading volume activity yang signifikan pada saham yang mengalami penambahan pada indeks. Sedangkan untuk saham yang mengalami penghapusan mempunyai hasil uji hipotesis yang menunjukan bahwa terdapat abnormal return yang signifikan negatif dan trading volume activity yang signifikan. Talimogene laherparepvec (TVEC) is a genetically modified oncolytic herpes simplex virus (HSV-1) that is used for the intralesional treatment of advanced or metastatic melanoma. Given that TVEC produces the granulocyte–macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), recent reports have suggested that radiation treatment (RT) given in conjunction with TVEC may provide synergistic immune activation at the site, and possibly systemically. However, studies on combining RT with TVEC remain limited. We conducted a retrospective review of melanoma patients from a single cancer center who received TVEC and RT in the same region of the body and compared them to patients who received TVEC with RT at another site (other than the site of TVEC injection). Between January 2015 and September 2022, we identified twenty patients who were treated with TVEC and RT; fourteen patients received TVEC and RT in the same region, and six had treatments in separate regions. Regions were determined at the time of analysis and were based on anatomic sites (such as arm, leg, torso, etc.). Kaplan–Meier analysis of progression-free survival (PFS), analyses of time to distant metastasis (DM), overall survival (OS), and locoregional control (LRC), and the corresponding log-rank test were performed. With a median follow-up of 10.5 months [mos] (range 1.0–58.7 mos), we found an improvement in PFS with TVEC and RT in the same region compared to different regions, which were 6.4 mos (95% CI, 2.4–NR mos) and 2.8 mos (95% CI, 0.7–4.4 mos), respectively; p = 0.005. There was also a significant improvement in DM when TVEC and RT were used in the same region compared to different regions: 13.8 mos (95% CI, 4.6–NR mos) and 2.8 mos (95% CI, 0.7–4.4 mos), respectively (p = 0.001). However, we found no difference in overall survival (OS) between patients who had TVEC and RT in the same region (19.0 mos, 95% confidence interval [CI], 4.1–not reached [NR] mos) and those who received treatments in different regions (18.5 mos, 95% CI, 1.0–NR mos); p = 0.366. There was no statistically significant improvement in locoregional control (LRC) in patients who had TVEC and RT in the same region was 26.0 mos (95% CI, 6.4–26.0 mos) compared to patients who received TVEC and RT in different regions (4.4 mos) (95% CI, 0.7–NR mos) (p = 0.115). No grade 3 or higher toxicities were documented in either group. Overall, there were improvements in PFS and DM when TVEC and RT were delivered to the same region of the body compared to when they were used in different regions. However, we did not find a significant difference in locoregional recurrence or OS. Future studies are needed to assess the sequence and timing of combining RT and TVEC to potentially enhance the immune response both locally and distantly.

Background/Objectives: LUTS and voiding dysfunctions are prevalent in urology clinics, with uroflowmetry and IPSS as the prevailing diagnostic methods. Nevertheless, objective assessment can be constrained by age, gender, and variability in the test conditions. Portable (home) uroflowmetry addresses these limitations, allowing for more natural urinary flow recordings beyond clinic confines. This study aims to characterize spontaneous voiding patterns in healthcare professionals, exploring gender differences, variability in repeated measurements, and correlations among voiding parameters, IPSS, age, and BMI. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted during the SIU 43rd Congress in Istanbul using smart uroflow devices such as the Oruba Oruflow Uroflow Recorder, which were installed in public toilets. A total of 431 healthcare professionals participated by providing demographic information and completing the IPSS questionnaire. The data analysis included uroflowmetric parameters such as maximum flow rate (Qmax), average flow rate (Qave), and voided volume (VV), in addition to IPSS and demographic data to assess the possible associations with IPSS, age, BMI, and gender differences. Results: Of the participants, 76% were male and 24% female, with a higher prevalence of LUTS in women. Despite no significant gender difference in voided volume, men with lower volumes demonstrated more severe LUTS. Notably, women exhibited higher Qmax and Qave rates irrespective of their IPSS scores, contrasting with men whose flow rates declined with age and LUTS severity. In men, the total IPSS score was inversely associated with uroflowmetric performance, particularly impacting voiding symptoms over storage symptoms. Repeated measurements revealed noteworthy variability in Qmax and VV, without any influence from gender, BMI, age, or symptom severity. Conclusions: Our findings highlight the importance of gender-specific considerations in evaluating voiding complaints through uroflowmetry and IPSS. The significant variability observed in repeated uroflowmetry studies underlines the need for multiple measurements. Overall, this research emphasizes the significance of portable (home) uroflowmetry and calls for a reassessment of normal voiding standards in (non) clinical settings.

In the United States and around the world, newborns are screened on a population basis for conditions benefiting from pre-symptomatic diagnosis and treatment. The number of screened conditions continues to expand as novel technologies for screening, diagnosing, treating, and managing disease are discovered. While screening all newborns facilitates early diagnosis and treatment, most screened conditions are treatable but not curable. Patients identified by newborn screening often require lifelong medical management and community support to achieve the best possible outcome. To advance the long-term follow-up of infants identified through newborn screening (NBS), the Long-Term Follow-up Cares and Check Initiative (LTFU-Cares and Check) designed, implemented, and evaluated a system of longitudinal data collection and annual reporting engaging parents, clinical providers, and state NBS programs. The LTFU-Cares and Check focused on newborns identified with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) through NBS and the longitudinal health information prioritized by parents and families. Pediatric neurologists who care for newborns with SMA entered annual data, and data tracking and visualization tools were delivered to state NBS programs with a participating clinical center. In this publication, we report on the development, use of, and preliminary results from the LTFU-Cares and Check Initiative, which was designed as a comprehensive model of LTFU. We also propose next steps for achieving the goal of a national system of LTFU for individuals with identified conditions by meaningfully engaging public health agencies, clinicians, parents, families, and communities.

Background: Diarrhoea forms a significant public health problem in children under five years of age, especially in developing countries. The 2020 National Health Portal of India report shows 23373520 cases and 6229 deaths from diarrhoeal diseases were recorded across India. Current evidence using nationally representative data on determinants of care-seeking behaviour for Diarrhoea is limited in the Indian context. Hence, the present study complements the existing literature by examining the health-care-seeking behaviour regarding Diarrhoea among Indian children under age five. Objective: To study the prevalence and Factors associated with treatment-seeking behaviour of Diarrhoea among children under five in India Methodology: Study design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: The data for the present study were drawn from the fifth round of the National Family Health Survey (NFHS-5) conducted in 28 states and 8 union territories of India in 2019-21. Out of 222,233 children age less than five years, 16214 children having Diarrhoea were selected to explore the treatment-seeking behaviour. Results: Among children under five years, 7.2% suffered from diarrhoea in the two weeks receding the survey, and 76% sought treatment for Diarrhoea. Conclusion: Mother’s schooling is found to be important factor in health care-seeking behaviour. Thus, enhancing mothers’ awareness will help advance the healthcare-seeking behaviour.

Graft injury affects over 50% of liver transplant (LT) recipients, but non-invasive biomarkers to diagnose and guide treatment are currently limited. We aimed to develop a biomarker of graft injury by integrating serum metabolomic profiles with clinical variables. Serum from 55 LT recipients with biopsy confirmed metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), T-cell mediated rejection (TCMR) and biliary complications was collected and processed using a combination of LC-MS/MS assay. The metabolomic profiles were integrated with clinical information using a multi-class Machine Learning (ML) classifier. The model’s efficacy was assessed through the Out-of-Bag (OOB) error estimate evaluation. Our ML model yielded an overall accuracy of 79.66% with an OOB estimate of the error rate at 19.75%. The model exhibited a maximum ability to distinguish MASH, with an OOB error estimate of 7.4% compared to 22.2% for biliary and 29.6% for TCMR. The metabolites serine and serotonin emerged as the topmost predictors. When predicting binary outcomes using three models: Biliary (biliary vs. rest), MASH (MASH vs. rest) and TCMR (TCMR vs. rest); the AUCs were 0.882, 0.972 and 0.896, respectively. Our ML tool integrating serum metabolites with clinical variables shows promise as a non-invasive, multi-class serum biomarker of graft pathology.

Mars missions and Martian meteorites revealed how complex the Martian crust is. The occurrence of both alkaline and sub-alkaline igneous rocks of Noachian age (>3.7 Ga) in Gale crater indicates diverse magmatic processes, with sub-alkaline rocks likely formed through the partial melting of hydrous mafic rocks, as commonly observed on Earth. The orbital discovery of excavated evolved igneous rocks scattered in Noachian terrains raise questions about the petrology of the ancient Martian crust, long thought to be basaltic. A possibly evolved crust beneath a mafic cover is supported by geophysical and seismic measurements from the Insight lander that indicate the bulk crust has a lower density than expected if it were homogeneously basaltic. If localized magmatic processes could form evolved terrains, the detection of abundant intermediate to felsic Noachian crustal exposures through remote sensing suggest regional- to global-scale processes that produced evolved crustal component(s) that are now buried below mafic materials. Due to the lack of centimetric to millimetric textural imaging and compositional measurements, the petrology of such crust is ambiguous. Future orbiter, rover, and aerial missions should focus on Noachian exposed regions exhibiting evolved crustal characteristics to unfold the petrology of the Martian crust and its formation.

Overloading and climate change are often problems in pavement structures. For this reason, hard asphalt binders have high softening points, are elastic, and have good adhesion, which is needed to improve pavement performance. Asphalt binder performance can be enhanced by adding additives such as natural rubber or natural-rubber-modified asphalt. However, natural-rubber-modified asphalt shows poor storage stability problems. This is due to differences in density and viscosity between the constituent components of natural-rubber-modified asphalt. This study examines the phase separation mechanism in technically specified natural rubber (TSNR) modified asphalt. Prediction of the optimum storage length of modified asphalt before phase separation occurs, using a combined incompressible Navier–Stokes and phase field model and carried out with COMSOL Multiphysics software version 5.5. Experimental validation was conducted at TSNR levels of 8, 10, and 12% at 160 °C for 48 h, with and without sulfur. The simulation showed that the asphalt modified with TSNR experienced phase separation after 12 h of storage at 160 °C under conditions without stirring. This aligns with the experimental results, which showed phase separation at 160 °C after 48 h. Adding sulfur additives did not have much effect on improving storage stability. The combined incompressible Navier–Stokes and phase field model accurately describes the phase separation in TSNR-modified asphalt. The results of this research recommend that the industry store natural-rubber-modified asphalt in a constantly stirred condition to prevent phase separation of modified asphalt. In addition, the results of this research help the industry predict or increase the homogeneity of polymer-modified asphalt production and save time and costs.

Blood–brain barrier (BBB) dysfunction and neuroinflammation are key mechanisms of brain injury. We performed a time-course study following neonatal hypoxia–ischemia (HI) to characterize these events. HI brain injury was induced in postnatal day 10 rats by single carotid artery ligation followed by hypoxia (8% oxygen, 90 min). At 6, 12, 24, and 72 h (h) post-HI, brains were collected to assess neuropathology and BBB dysfunction. A significant breakdown of the BBB was observed in the HI injury group compared to the sham group from 6 h in the cortex and hippocampus (p < 0.001), including a significant increase in albumin extravasation (p < 0.0033) and decrease in basal lamina integrity and tight-junction proteins. There was a decrease in resting microglia (p < 0.0001) transitioning to an intermediate state from as early as 6 h post-HI, with the intermediate microglia peaking at 12 h (p < 0.0001), which significantly correlated to the peak of microbleeds. Neonatal HI insult leads to significant brain injury over the first 72 h that is mediated by BBB disruption within 6 h and a transitioning state of the resident microglia. Key BBB events coincide with the appearance of the intermediate microglial state and this relationship warrants further research and may be a key target for therapeutic intervention.

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pertanggungjawaban hukum dalam bedah plastik estetik yang mengubah fitur wajah, mengingat kemajuan teknologi alat kedokteran dan ketidakpuasan seseorang terhadap wajahnya yang diberikan oleh Tuhan Yang Maha Esa. Penelitian dilakukan dengan sudut pandang penerapan Undang-undang Nomor 36 Tahun 2009 tentang Kesehatan. Dokter yang melakukan pembedahan plastik sering kali melakukan kesalahan, baik sengaja maupun lalai hingga menimbulkan korban. Oleh karenanya, dokter tidak akan terlepas dari jeratan hukum maupun sanksi akibat tindakannya. Fokus masalahnya tentang pengaturan bedah plastik estetik di Indonesia dan tanggung jawab hukum dokter dalam melakukan bedah plastik estetik yang mengubah fitur wajah. Kajian ini menggunakan penelitian yuridis normatif dengan metode pendekatan perundang-undangan, teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi kepustakaan yang dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil kajian menyimpulkan bahwa hubungan antara dokter dan pasien terjadi karena adanya perjanjian timbal balik yang menimbulkan hak dan kewajiban. Dokter berjanji untuk merubah atau menyempurnakan bagian tertentu dari pasien pada bagian wajah, sedangkan pasien berjanji untuk membayar biaya pengobatan, perawatan, dan pembedahannya. Jika salah satu pihak tidak memenuhi atau melanggar perjanjian tersebut, maka pasien dapat menuntut dokter berdasarkan Pasal 1239 KUHPerdata. Selain itu, masing-masing pihak yang dirugikan dapat menuntut dengan gugatan berdasarkan wanprestasi.

Abstract Structuring the tourism sector is a concern for the Regional Government, especially in West Sumatra, which continues to develop halal tourism as a hall mark of adaik basandi syara’ syarak basandi Kitabullah. The role of the Government of West Sumatra has been seen in structuring Halal Tourism after the issuance of West Sumatera Provincial Regulation concerning Organizing Halal Tourism. Halal tourism is a set of additional services for amenities, attractions and accessibility that are intended and provided to meet the experiences, needs and desires of Muslim tourists and other tourists who need them.West Sumatra part of the preservation of halal products as well as the application of the upholding philosophy of Islamic and customary values as the foundation of the life of the Minangkabau. In implementing halal tourism, the Government of West Sumatra is responsible for developing Halal Tourism business including providing investment incentives, facilitating investment facilities, as well as facilitating infrastructure facilities in implementing Halal Tourism. The results of this study explain that Regional Regulation concerning the Implementation of Halal Tourism in general has been implemented by the government, with so far establishing halal tourism destinations, including the Baso Pagaruyung Palace in Tanah Datar, Twin Lakes in Solok Regency, and the Islamic Center in Padang. The concept of halal tourism is not to prescribe a place, but rather to provide additional services to tourists who prioritize Muslim tourists and other tourists who need it. Peran Pemerintah Sumatera Barat telah terlihat dalam penataan Wisata halal setelah terbitnya Peraturan Daerah Provinsi Sumatera Barat tentang Penyelenggaraan Wisata Halal. Wisata halal sebagai perangkat layanan tambahan amenitas, atraksi, dan aksesibilitas yang ditujukan dan diberikan untuk memenuhi pengalaman, kebutuhan, dan keinginan wisatawan muslim dan wisatawan yang lain yang membutuhkannya. Keberadaan Wisata halal di Sumatera Barat bagian dari pelestarian produk halal sebagaimana penerapan dari junjungan tinggi filosofi Nilai-nilai Islam dan Adat sebagaimana dasar dari pijakan hidup masyarakat MinangKabau. Dalam penyelenggaraan wisata halal, Pemerintah Sumatera Barat bertanggungjawab dalam pengembangan usaha Pariwisata Halal meliputi pemberian insentif investasi, fasilitas kemudahan investasi, serta fasilitas kemudahan infrastruktur dalam pelaksanaan Pariwisata Halal. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa Penyelenggaraan Pariwisata Halal secara umum telah dilaksanakan oleh pemerintah, dengan sejauh ini telah menetapkan destinasi pariwisata halal antara lain yaitu Istana Baso Pagaruyung di Tanah Datar, Danau Kembar Kabupaten Solok, dan Islamic Center di Padang Panjang. Konsep wisata halal ini bukanlah mensyariat suatu tempat, melainkan lebih kepada pelayanan tambahan (addcended service) yang diberikan kepada wisatawan yang di utamakan wisatawan muslim dan wisatawan lain yang membutuhkan. Abstract This paper introduces a unique zero‐current switching (ZCS) technique for low‐power dc–dc converters. In this paper, a single‐inductor dual‐input triple‐output converter is considered to apply this new technique, which can be generalized for converters with more inputs and outputs and high‐power and energy‐harvesting applications. The first input of this converter can be connected to any source that can produce energy, such as photovoltaic (PV) cells or thermoelectric generator (TEG), and the second input can be considered a battery. The proposed converter is implemented discretely, and a low‐power microcontroller whose power consumption is reduced by the software is employed to control the whole system. In the proposed ZCS method, the current sensor is not used, and only a simple voltage level detector is employed to detect the inductor voltage level in order to determine the optimal value of the inductor discharge duty cycle. This converter works in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) and uses pulse width modulation (PWM) and the time‐multiplexing strategy (TMS). The main focus of this paper is on designing and implementing a digital control algorithm based on this new ZCS technique in order to increase efficiency.

The research conducted in this study was driven by the East Java provincial government's requirement to assess the transaction levels of the Student Business Group (KUS) in the SMA Double Track program. These transaction levels are a basis for allocating supplementary financial aid to each business group. The system's primary objective is to assist the provincial government of East Java in making well-informed choices pertaining to the distribution of supplementary capital to the KUS. The classification technique employed in this study is the multilayer perceptron. However, the K-Means Clustering method is utilised to generate target data due to the limited availability during the classification process, which involves dividing the transaction level attributes into three distinct groups: (0) low transactions, (1) medium transactions, and (2) high transactions. The clustering process encompasses three distinct features: (1) income, (2) spending, and (3) profit. These three traits will be utilized as input data throughout the categorization procedure. The classification procedure employing the Multilayer Perceptron technique involved processing a dataset including 1383 data points. The training data constituted 80% of the dataset, while the remaining 20% was allocated for testing. In order to evaluate the efficacy of the constructed model, the training error was assessed using K-Fold cross-validation, yielding an average accuracy score of 0.92. In the present study, the categorization technique yielded an accuracy of 0.96. This model aims to classify scenarios when the dataset lacks prior target data.

Campus marketing through photos and videos may only have a limited impact, but with the virtual reality campus tour, it is hoped that it can provide an interactive campus virtual reality experience for prospective students. This application is a web-based campus virtual tour application prototype that can be run on any device. The application was developed using the 3D Vista application and photos will be captured using a 360 camera. The prototype uses three collective rooms on campus with different descriptions to provide information about the campus environment and testing is carried out using the System Usability Scale method on 30 people. The results of this study are that a virtual reality campus tour application developed using the 3D Vista application has the potential to provide an innovative and attractive marketing tool for campuses. The evaluation results of SUS gave a score of 73 which means this application is relatively easy to use. This application has the potential to support campus marketing efforts

Learning Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming is influenced by several factors, that is: lecturer competence in PLC programming, adequacy of information technology infrastructure in learning, availability of learning media, vocational guidance procedures, and learning motivation. The purpose of this study: (a) to describe the factors that contribute to PLC programming learning, (b) to formulate a PLC programming competency model, and (c) to examine the determinants of PLC programming learning. Model testing method using Path Analysis. The results of this analysis are expected to be able to describe the relational patterns between variables in learning PLC programming, as well as the direct and indirect impacts on the mastery of PLC programming competencies. Background: The medical staff working on the front-line battle against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) are more exposed to mental health risks than the general population. Resilience is the ability to withstand challenging situations and help people defend their mental health against stressors. The present study aimed to compare the effectiveness of Yalom and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) on medical staff resilience in COVID-19 centers. Methods: The research method was quasi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design and a control group. The statistical population includes all 600 medical staff of Hamedan City, Iran, caring for patients with COVID-19 in 2021. Based on the average variance of resilience obtained in previous studies, 45 people were selected by convenience sampling and randomly assigned to two experimental groups (each 15) and one control group (n=15). The experimental groups were divided into Yalom and ACT group psychotherapy, and all three groups responded to the Connor-Davidson resilience scale (CD-RISC) before and after the intervention. The obtained data were analyzed by analysis of covariance in SPSS software, version 25. Results: Yalom group psychotherapy and ACT group therapy had different effects on the participants’ resilience and are statistically significant since the F statistics (106.722) was significant (P=0.001 and P=0.05, respectively). Based on the results, Yalom group psychotherapy has a better rate of improvement than ACT. Conclusion: Considering the significant efficacy of Yalom group psychotherapy and its relative ease of implementation compared to ACT, it is possible to employ this intervention to protect the mental health of medical staff during severe epidemics of diseases such as coronavirus.

It is widely known that Escherichia coli (E. coli) can infect the gastrointestinal tract of various animals and damage some tissue organs. Through histopathological examination of the gastric and duodenal organs can provide valuable information relating to how the E. coli infection impacts the animal. On February 6th, 2023, euthanasia and necropsy of a dog belonging to Mr. Kamo Agil were carried out, which is located at Jl. Meyjend Sungkono, Gresik. Anamnesa is known to be a male dog, age ±1.5 months, body weight 0.6 kg. One kennel is filled with 9 dogs, dirty cage, in the house is not unused, damp and close to the warehouse area and furniture office. The dog has never been vaccinated and has not been dewormed. Temporary diagnosis of dogs with colibacillosis. Examination of pathology is carried out macroscopically and microscopically. Microbiological examination with isolation of escherichia coli bacteria and eosin methylene blue agar media. Followed by Gram staining and biochemical tests. The results of anatomical pathology examination showed that the dog had gastroenteritis. The results of microbiological examination showed that isolated and identified escherichia coli from duodenal organs. Based on the results of examinations showed that the dog had gastroenteritis caused by caused by escherichia coli infection.

The human epidermal growth factor receptors (HERs) are expressed abundantly in the human body. The tumorigenic potential of HER2/neu is linked to its overexpression, amplification or somatic mutation. The HER2 gene amplification leading to protein overexpression has been reported in 25–30% of breast cancers and 10–30% of gastric/gastroesophageal cancers. While HER2 is a well-documented predictive, prognostic, and therapeutic marker in breast and gastric/gastroesophageal cancers, its relevance has also been demonstrated in multiple other malignancies. In this article, we will conduct an extensive review of current data pertaining to HER2 amplification, overexpression, or mutation in cancers other than breast and gastric cancers.

Vape fans claim that vaping is the solution to smoking cessation, but this is still debatable. Even if vape is still considered new, numerous studies show that vaping is associated with lung injury (EVALI). Despite this, the trend of vaping is still increasing. This study aimed to review the current understanding of conventional smoking and vaping and compare both. Is vaping safer than smoking? Smoking has health risks for lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), stroke, and others, while vaping has been linked with EVALI. Local perfusions were decreased in tobacco smokers after exposure. However, perfusion increased in vaping after exposure. Bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) in vape users showed an increase of vitamin E acetate, possibly causing impairment in lung structure and functionality of surfactant. This is the potential mechanism of EVALI in vape users. Smoking uses the Brinkman Index to determine the severity of smoking, but there is no index for vaping because it depends not on how many sticks but on how many e-liquids were used. It seems that vape is “safer” than smoking, but smoking and vaping both have their own health risks, and it is safe to assume that neither is safe for use. “Vape is the solution for smoking cessation” needs further research because it takes years to understand conventional smoking in relation to other diseases. Prospective follow-up studies to determine the risk of vaping on other diseases are needed in the future.

It is necessary to utilize desalination technology to clear the water available, including seawater, to meet the increasing need for clean water due to population growth. Several desalination methods, such as thermal methods, membranes, freezing g, and ion exchange, continue to be developed but have not overcome some deficiencies. Therefore, new alternative desalination methods with droplet atomization, which utilizes the air entrainment phenomena, are being developed. Research on non-dimensional fluid atomization is the basis for designing this method. The study used brine pumped through a nozzle with a small diameter to become mist or vapor. This study carried out variations of research parameters on the configuration of the experimental apparatus in the form of pressure, the diameter of the nozzle, and the number of nozzles. Quantitative data from experimental results obtained from measurement instruments and qualitative data in videos obtained using a camera are to be processed into quantitative data using image processing. The results showed that pressure affects the characteristics of a full cone-shaped water spray. It was found that the best spray system configuration with two nozzles with a diameter of 0.5 mm in a pressure of 9 bar.

The present research examined the interplay of social threat and political mistrust on collective action intentions in the context of Hong Kong social unrest. We investigated perceived social threat from a dominant outgroup and mistrust in the political system as two antecedents of politicized identity, and as indirect predictors of intentions to participate in normative and violent nonnormative collective action. Across two studies (Study 1: N = 398; Study 2: N = 200), we found that perceived social threat, political mistrust, and their interaction had positive significant associations with action intentions (Study 1) and an interactive association (Study 2) with politicized identity. Both studies indicated indirect effects of social threat and political mistrust on both normative and violent collective action intentions through politicized identity. Politicized identity and a broader Hong Kong identity were both directly associated with normative collective action intentions. However, only politicized identity was associated with violent collective action intentions.

Most soybean farming in Indonesia is still performed conventionally. Farmers are less interested in cultivating soybeans because the production yields are relatively small. This research aims to determine the factors influencing production, production inefficiency of soybean, and the technical efficiency (TE) and economic efficiency (EE) level of soybean farming. Primary data were collected using a survey method of soybean farmers in paddy field areas in the Tabanan Regency of Bali Province, Indonesia. Data were analyzed using the stochastic frontier approach using the Frontier 4.1 analysis tool. Factors that positively affected the increasing soybean production were land area, urea and NPK fertilizers, and soybean seeds. The factor positively affecting soybean production inefficiency was a farming experience. The average TE value was 0.77, implying that soybean farming in the study area was efficient. However, the EE value below 0.70 implied that soybean farming was inefficient. Based on soybean farmers’ farming experience, TE and EE values were getting lower. The low value of EE was suspected of causing farmers’ low interest in cultivating soybean.

Abstract This article suggests a non‐isolated high step‐up interleaved DC–DC topology for renewable energy applications. Two three‐winding coupled‐inductors along with two voltage multiplier cells are used to enhance the voltage gain significantly. One interesting aspect of this new topology is that high duty cycles are not required to achieve high voltage gains; this is done by adjusting the turn ratio of the coupled inductors. Moreover, the presented interleaved converter enjoys not only having less current stress due to the interleaving structure, but also showing 16% increase in voltage gain compared to the best similar boost topologies. Additional elements are designed for the purpose of soft switching and gain increase, which have little effect on the cost, weight and size of the proposed converter. Interestingly, the voltage stresses both on the switching devices and passive elements are much less than the output voltage. Furthermore, the coupled inductor's leakage inductance energy is recovered by employing a passive clamp circuit to minimize stresses across the semiconductors; therefore, efficiency is improved. The suggested converter is analyzed in the steady state, and a 400 W experimental setup was implemented; the outcomes verify the practicality of the proposed boost converter in accordance with the analysis.

The goal of this study was to empirically evaluate the association between perceived threat and anxiety on coping behaviors (protective action, seeking help, avoidance) of Kebumen district e-banking users. By disseminating surveys via a Google form, 121 study samples were acquired. Purposive sampling was utilized in this study, with the criteria of respondents obtained by e-banking. In this work, structural equation modeling is used to evaluate hypotheses using the WarpPLS version 7.0 program. The findings of hypothesis testing demonstrate that perceived threats and anxiety have an influence on coping behavior; however, there is no evidence that perceived threats lead to avoidance. According to the findings of this study, threats have no effect on respondents' usage of e-banking because it has become a daily requirement.

Introduction Rapid population ageing and associated health issues such as frailty are a growing public health concern. While early identification and management of frailty may limit adverse health outcomes, the complex presentations of frailty pose challenges for clinicians. Artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a potential solution to support the early identification and management of frailty. In order to provide a comprehensive overview of current evidence regarding the development and use of AI technologies including machine learning and deep learning for the identification and management of frailty, this protocol outlines a scoping review aiming to identify and present available information in this area. Specifically, this protocol describes a review that will focus on the clinical tools and frameworks used to assess frailty, the outcomes that have been evaluated and the involvement of knowledge users in the development, implementation and evaluation of AI methods and tools for frailty care in clinical settings.Methods and analysis This scoping review protocol details a systematic search of eight major academic databases, including Medline, Embase, PsycInfo, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), Ageline, Web of Science, Scopus and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Xplore using the framework developed by Arksey and O’Malley and enhanced by Levac et al and the Joanna Briggs Institute. The search strategy has been designed in consultation with a librarian. Two independent reviewers will screen titles and abstracts, followed by full texts, for eligibility and then chart the data using a piloted data charting form. Results will be collated and presented through a narrative summary, tables and figures.Ethics and dissemination Since this study is based on publicly available information, ethics approval is not required. The growing presence of large language models (LLMs) in health care applications holds significant promise for innovative advancements in patient care. However, concerns about ethical implications and potential biases have been raised by various stakeholders. Here, we evaluate the ethics of LLMs in medicine along 2 key axes: empathy and equity. We outline the importance of these factors in novel models of care and develop frameworks for addressing these alongside LLM deployment.

Cancer chemotherapeutics kill rapidly dividing cells, which includes cells of the immune system. The resulting neutropenia predisposes patients to infection, which delays treatment and is a major cause of morbidity and mortality. To tackle this problem, we have isolated several compounds that inhibit bacterial DNA repair, alone they are non-toxic, however in combination with DNA damaging anti-cancer drugs, they prevent bacterial growth. These compounds were identified through screening of an FDA-approved drug library in the presence of the anti-cancer compound cisplatin. Using a series of triage tests, the screen was reduced to a handful of drugs that were tested for specific activity against bacterial nucleotide excision DNA repair (NER). Five compounds emerged, of which three possess promising antimicrobial properties including cell penetrance, and the ability to block replication in a multi-drug resistant clinically relevant E. coli strain. This study suggests that targeting NER could offer a new therapeutic approach tailor-made for infections in cancer patients, by combining cancer chemotherapy with an adjuvant that targets DNA repair.

Summary: The early life microbiome plays an important role in developmental and long-term health outcomes. However, it is unknown whether adverse pregnancy complications affect the offspring’s gut microbiome postnatally and in early years. In a longitudinal cohort with a five-year follow-up of mother-child pairs affected by preeclampsia (PE) or spontaneous preterm birth (sPTB), we evaluated offspring gut alpha and beta diversity as well as taxa abundances considering factors like breastfeeding and mode of delivery. Our study highlights a trend where microbiome diversity exhibits comparable development across adverse and normal pregnancies. However, specific taxa at genus level emerge with distinctive abundances, showing enrichment and/or depletion over time in relation to PE or sPTB. These findings underscore the potential for certain adverse pregnancy complications to induce alterations in the offspring’s microbiome over the course of early life. The implications of these findings on the immediate and long-term health of offspring should be investigated in future studies.

Sekolah inklusi adalah salah satu sarana untuk meningkatkan kepekaan sosial anak karena di dalamnya terdapat anak berkebutuhan khusus yang dapat melatih kepedulian terhadap sesama. Namun, Pada lingkungan masyarakat adanya program sekolah inklusi kerap dinilai apabila ABK disatukan dalam satu lingkungan pendidikan yang bersamaan dengan anak normal maka akan menghalangi proeses pembelajaranya karna merasa risih dan dianggap remeh. Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan kepekaan sosial pada anak terhadap kondisi yang berbeda dengan sebayanya yang turut belajar di sekolah yang sama yaitu SD Muhammadiyah 1 GKB. Penelitian ini berfokus pada kepekaan sosial peserta didik usia sekolah dasar. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Dalam mengumpulkan data penelitian ini menggunakan data skunder. Teknik pengumpulanya menggunakan observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa adanya pendidikan inklusi memberikan beragam manfaat, salah satu yang signifikan adalah timbulnya kepekaan sosial pada anak seperti adanya rasa empati, simpati, tolong-menolong dan menghargai perbedaan.

AbstractIndonesia has been the largest palm-oil producer in the world since 2006. The country’s palm-oil products are exported globally, including to member states of the European Union. In recent years, European countries have implemented increasingly stringent regulations on palm-oil imports, including from Indonesia, through policies such as the Renewable Energy Directive (RED) II. This study qualitatively analyzes Indonesia’s responses to these policies. We collected data using in-depth interviews and focus-group discussions with government policymakers, activists from nongovernmental organizations, and oil-palm smallholders and entrepreneurs in Indonesia. We demonstrate that the European Union policy has experienced a shift in recent years which has made it more difficult for Indonesian palm-oil products to enter European markets. The Indonesian government views these policies as an environmental issue, a form of trade war, and a challenge to the sovereignty and dignity of the nation. The government’s responses have included improvements to cultivation and business practices, demands for broader and more inclusive policies, and “resistance,” for example, by referring the case to the World Trade Organization.

Leaf spot disease in mulberry significantly affects silk production by reducing the nutritive quality of the leaves. This disease caused by various pathogens, regardless of the localities under the same climatic region. In the present investigation, an approximate incidence rate of 84 % was recorded in Karnataka based on surveys conducted in both farmer fields and germplasm locations. The causative agents have shown diversification, including new candidates such as Bipolaris sorokiniana, Curvularia lunata, Cladosporium sphaerospermum, and Epicoccum sorghinum. These findings mark the first report of these pathogens in Indian mulberry production. The investigation involved detailed pathogenicity assessments on the predominant mulberry silk production cultivar under controlled and field environments. Pathogens were identified using morpho-cultural, microscopic and phylogenetic analyses, including the internal transcribed spacer (ITS). Various concentrations of fungicides, both individually and in combinations, were evaluated to identify effective measures for mitigating yield losses. Among the fungicides tested against the new pathogens, Hexaconazole 5 % SC and Hexaconazole 5 % + Captan 70 % WP demonstrated high promise and cost-effectiveness. Consequently, these fungicides could serve as immediate solutions to prevent further yield reduction. However, it is essential to conduct comprehensive field investigations before recommending them as standard practices. Future research endeavors should focus on assessing the extent of crop loss caused by these newly identified pathogens in mulberry cultivation.

Purpose: This study decodes the role of electrospun nanofibers in the treatment of VVC. Result: 7 out of 8 included studies were basic research with in vitro data and one of them showed in vivo data. All of the included articles showcased the mucoadhesive nature of nanofibers with good tensile strength, good drug absorption with improved bioavailability, and sustained drug release with better therapeutic activity than other formulations. Conclusion: Nanofibers found as a potential carrier that overcomes the constraints of the conventional formulations for the delivery of drugs in the vagina and warranted an effective treatment for VVC.

Background Digital and mobile (mHealth) solutions are online or application-based services intended to support individuals with health needs. Despite evidence supporting the use of mHealth for patients with chronic pain, and the increasing desire of these types of solutions by both patients and providers, adoption of mHealth solutions remains limited. Implementation mapping can serve as a practical method to facilitate implementation and adoption of mHealth solutions within healthcare settings. Methods Implementation mapping was used to develop implementation strategies based on contextual determinants organized within the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR) for mHealth eLearning solutions across an integrated, multi-site healthcare system. We describe our experience identifying stakeholders, delineating implementation facilitators and barriers, defining implementation outcomes using RE-AIM (Reach, Effectiveness, Adoption, Implementation, Maintenance) framework, outlining initial implementation strategies, and iterating on implementation strategies. Results A total of 30 implementation strategies were identified and implemented. Over the first year, primary and specialty care providers across all the clinical sites ( n = 70) placed 2559 orders for the mHealth solution. Most patients reported receiving the mHealth eLearning module (74%), and most patients felt that the tool improved their knowledge regarding their condition (82%) and their ability to provide self-care related to the condition (73%). Conclusion Practical applications of implementation science methods can help enable change within healthcare settings. Implementation mapping is an exercise that can engage stakeholders to facilitate the incorporation of new methods of care delivery, including mHealth solutions.
