A rapid multiresidue analysis method for 115 pesticides in Chinese prickly ash based on QuEChERS (quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged and safe) procedure combined with gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS) was developed and validated. The samples were pretreated with optimized QuEChERS technique, detected by GC-MS/MS based on multiple reaction monitoring mode, and analyzed quantitatively by matrix-matched internal standard method. The validation results showed a good linear relationship within the calibration linearity range of 0.002- 0.4 mg/L with the correlation coefficient(r) greater than 0.99. The limits of quantification for 115 pesticides were in the range of 0.01-0.02 mg/kg. The recoveries were in the range of 51%-150% with the RSDs of 0.8%-34%, when the fortified level was 0.01, 0.02, 0.05, 0.1 and 0.2 mg/kg. Among them, the recoveries of 80 pesticides were in the range of 70%-120% which met the residue analysis requirements. This method was simple, fast, accurate, precision and sensitivity, which provided a reliable analytical tool for rapid screening of pesticide multiresidues in Chinese prickly ash. Quartz optical fibers were successfully fabricated by high temperature wire drawing at different drawing rates with Yb3+-doped SiO2 preform as raw material. The structure, tensile strength and attenuation characteristics of quartz optical fibers fabricated at different wire drawing rates were studied by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, optical fiber stress analyzer and Model 2500. The results showed that the tensile strength of quartz optical fibers increased first and then decreased with the increase of wire drawing rate. When the wire drawing rate was 1700 m/min, the tensile strength of quartz optical fibers reached the maximum of 5.2 Gpa. The higher the wire drawing speed, the easier the internal damage and the failure of optical fibers would be caused by irradiation. This was mainly because the higher the drawing speed, the shorter the time in the high temperature region, the lower the frequency of Si-O chain breakage in the optical fiber, and the higher the tensile strength of the optical fiber. However, as the wire drawing rate continued to increase, the furnace temperature gradually increased, and the frequency of Si-O chain breakage in the fiber increased. The coupling effect of the two made the fiber strength increase first and then decrease with the drawing speed. When the irradiation dose increased gradually, the irradiation loss of quartz optical fibers increased rapidly in a straight line trend, but with the increase of the irradiation dose, the increase of the irradiation loss slowed down and stabilized gradually [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Genetic diversity is the basis of gene mining, cultivars improvement and breeding, the genetic diversity analysis of recurrent selection population could provide reference and guidance for further population improvement and elite cultivars screening. In this study, we constructed the rice recurrent selection population XTBG-HP1 based on four upland rice populations and 172 rice cultivars or combination, and we evaluated the genetic diversity of the rice population, by using sixteen phenotypic traits after four recurrent combinations. The results were as follows: (1) The fourteen quantitative traits of study population were normal distribution, and there were extreme trait individuals in each phenotype. (2) The coefficient variation of fourteen quantitative traits ranged from 0.08 to 0.41 with a mean of 0.20. Shannon-Wiener diversity index of each trait ranged from 0.72 to 1.92 with a mean of 1.50. (3) There was significant correlation between plant type traits and yield components traits in population, indicating the selection of population plant type could improve population yield traits. (4) The ten traits of flag leaf length, total number of per panicle, 1 000-Grain weight, panicle length, grain length, primary branch number, effective panicle, flag leaf width, the secondary branch number and heading date could be used as indicators for population comprehensive evaluation. (5) The flag leaf length, the secondary branch number and total number of per panicle with high genetic variation, better genetic diversity and high correlation coefficient with composite scores F value. The results of comprehensive experiment analysis showed that the research population has abundant genetic diversities. The late population gene mining,selection of good breeding materials and varieties improvement can be place emphasis on flag leaf length,the secondary branch number,and total number of per panicle,and make the best of the correlation between plant type traits and yield components traits. BACKGROUND: Vascular endothelial cell damage is shown to be closely related to blood brain barrier function disorder after traumatic brain injury. Epidermal growth factor-like domain 7 (EGFL7) is an important factor to promote angiogenesis. Whether EGFL7 can promote traumatic brain injury repair by activating angiogenesis remains unknown. OBJECTIVE: To explore the mechanisms by which EGFL7 promotes angiogenesis after traumatic brain injury in rats. METHODS: Forty-two healthy adult male rats were randomly divided into craniocerebral injury group (n=36, craniocerebral injury model was established by impacting rat dura mater with modified Feeney method) and sham group (n=6, only complete dura mater was exposed) and the rats were divided into six subgroups according to the sample time after injury: 1 hour, 6 hours, 24 hours, 3 days, 7 days and 14 days, 6 rats in each subgroup. The contusion lesion and the surrounding brain tissue were obtained after the neurological injury score was available. Another 18 rats were selected and randomized into three groups (n=6/group) to establish craniocerebral injury model. rAd-vector, rAd-EGFL7 and combined PI3K/Akt pathway inhibitor rAd-EGFL7+LY294002 was respectively injected into the ventricles of rats at 1 hour after injury. Samples were obtained at 12 hours later. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) RT-PCR, western blot assay and immumohistochemical staining results showed that the EGFL7 and CD34 were significantly up-regulated in rat brain after craniocerebral injury (P < 0.05). The expression of EGFL7 peaked on day 3 (P < 0.05), and the expression of CD34 had the same trend with EGFL7. The number of angiogenesis peaked on day 7. (2) After 12 hours of the rAd-EGFL7 microinjection in rat brain at 1 hour post-injury, the expression levels of EGFL7, CD34, pAkt and cyclin D1 were significantly up-regulated and the F0X01 expression was significantly down-regulated (all P < 0.05). (3) Microinjection of rAd-EGFL7 and PI3K/Akt inhibitor in rat brain at 1 hour post-injury, the EGFL7 expression was not significantly changed, but the CD34 expression was significantly inhibited (P < 0.05), and the number of angiogenesis was significantly decreased (P < 0.05). (4) To conclude, up-regulated EGFL7 in the injured brain tissue may be related to angiogenesis after traumatic brain injury. Plant populations comprise individuals of the same plant species existing in a specific area and time.Population structure and spatial patterns are important topics studied by population ecologists.In particular,monitoring plant population structure can help us understand the processes within and between different populations and identify drivers that control plant population dynamics.Analysis of the spatial distributions of populations is important because spatial patterns can reveal many biological characteristics of populations,their intra-and interspecific relationships with co-existing populations,as well as indicate factors underlying environmental factors and related concerns.Thus,population structure and spatial patterns are important indicators of population processes. We studied Betula platyphylla populations which dominate a mountainous area of forest vegetation on Wula Mountain of Inner Mongolia.Pure stands of this tree species are found on shaded or semi-shaded slopes at altitudes above 1800m.We analyzed the demographic structure and spatial patterns of B.platyphylla stands in the Wulashan Nature Reserve by establishing three 30m×30m sample plots,and classified older plants into three age groups: middle age,near maturity,and mature plants.Spatial clustering and population dynamics were examined over a range of distances between trees while using tree diameter classes serving as a proxy of tree age,and point pattern analysis(Ripley′s K-function).Point pattern analysis is widely used for the research of population spatial distribution pattern and inter-species relationships at different scales.In this paper Ripley′s K-function method,which is a type of point pattern analysis,is also used in this analysis.To derive age classes based on diameter,we selected one representative tree in each plot,measured the diameter at breast height(DBH) and later classified the trees into three classes(9.4,15.7,and 19.0 cm DBH),did trunk analysis,measured their ages and grouped them into tree ages classes of 30,54,and 90 years,respectively,and used these data for the basis of dividing the trees into diameter and age classes.Based on our analyses and other existing reports,we can classify the B.platyphylla population on Wula Mountain to eight diameter classes: seedling(class I),young trees(class II),middle aged-trees(classes III—IV),and mature trees(classes V—VIII). Our results suggest:(1) the demographic structure of the B.platyphylla population on the Wulashan Nature Reserve follows a typical "pyramid" shape suggesting a high regeneration rate and growth of many young plants in this population;(2) self-thinning is common in this population,which is explained by high intraspecific competition for space and resources and a higher death rate in age classes III and IV;(3) the survivorship curve of the B.platyphylla population is close to a Deevey I curve;(4) the B.platyphylla population exhibits an aggregated distribution when it is dominated by young and middle aged plants.Distributions are random when it is dominated by mature and old trees.Therefore,we predict that as the population matures,its spatial distribution will change from aggregated to random.We found spatial clustering occurs most strongly at distances of less than 1.5 m.This means two or more individual plants can form a cluster.Based on our findings we conclude the spatial patterns of the B.platyphylla population in this area of uniform environment conditions are controlled by biotic interactions and local ecological characteristics. In summary,we conducted a detailed analysis of the population age structure and spatial patterns of a B.platyphylla population in Wulashan Nature Reserve to elucidate peculiarities of population processes and their drivers.This paper attempts to provide a theoretical basis and help develop strategies for balanced natural resource protection in and around the Wula Mountain area.Our data can also serve as a starting point for more in-depth research.

Based on the study of microcavity-taper coupling system,the impacts of the coupling distance from the exterior vibration noise is introduced,and the relation between the coupling distance and the coupling state is analyzed systematically.To further validate the stability of the system and to avoid the disruption from the exterior vibration noise,two methods are taken to suppress the effect specially.One is to cover the coupling system with a designed isolation mantle.The other one is to package the tapered fiber with the microcavity into an entire body by using the UV mucus.The experimental results show that both the two methods are feasible and can make the system stable.Especially in the second scheme,the integrated microsphere-taper system is completely isolated from the outside,and it will not be interfered by the exterior vibration noise.This structure paves the way for the follow-up experiment.

- Abstract
In order to investigate the property of “Transmicelle” a new lecithin tank mixing adjuvant, its physical characteristics were investigated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and laser particle size analyzer, and its synergistic effect in controlling rice planthopper was determined by bioassay and field trials. The results showed that “Transmicelle” contained round liposomes with a Z-average size of 129.5 nm. The bioassay exhibited that “Transmicelle” can increase the toxicity of sulfoxaflor by 1.67 times. Furthermore, the field trial results indicated that the control effect of sulfoxaflor was increased by 9.04%-41.77% with the “Transmicelle”. Compared to the normal dosage treatment without “Transmicelle”, no significant difference in the control effect was detected by adding “Transmicelle” if the amont sulfoxaflor was reduced by 40%. The above results illustrate that the “Transmicelle” of the lecithin tank mixing adjuvant can enhance the utilization rate of the pesticide by forming liposomes, which results in a synergistic effect. Large quantities of crop stalk resources are produced in China every year, and some of the stalks are incinerated, which pollutes the environment. Biomass gasification is attracting a great deal of attention as a way of utilizing biomass waste. In this study, a circulating fluidized bed experimental system was designed and constructed with a treating capacity of 150 kg/h, which equipped with secondary back-feeding device, steam generator and air preheater. The influences of secondary back-feeding device on the gasification performance were investigated with corn stalk after crushing and drying pretreatment as biomass feedstock. The effects of air equivalence ratio (ER) within 0.20~0.35 on gasifier temperature, tar content, gas composition, carbon conversion rate and gasification efficiency were investigated when the secondary back-feeding device was closed and open. The gasification reaction was promoted by increasing ER, and gasification efficiency and carbon conversion showed a trend of increasing firstly and then decreasing. The results showed that good gasification results were both obtained at ER of 0.26. When the secondary back-feeding device was closed, the maximum carbon conversion rate and gasification efficiency were 91.19% and 72.95%, respectively. Whereas the carbon conversion rate and gasification efficiency were higher when the secondary back-feeding device was open, which was up to 93.54% and 77.06%, respectively. The experimental results also showed that secondary back-feeding device had a good effect on tar cracking. When the secondary back-feeding device was closed and open, the tar content in gas was 7.5 g/Nm3 and 4.5 g/Nm3 at ER of 0.26, respectively, which meant that tar content can be decreased by 40% when secondary back-feeding system was open. The effects of steam/biomass ratio (S/B) on gasification characteristics were investigated when the secondary back-feeding device was open. The results showed that gas quality and gasification efficiency were improved with air as main gasifying agent and steam assisted. The better operation conditions of the corn stalk gasification were 0.26 of ER and 0.2 of S/B, and gas calorific value and gasification efficiency reached to maximum value of 5.89 MJ/3 and 81.45%, respectively. The results of tar distillation analysis under typical operating conditions indicated that the pyrolysis conversion of tar was promoted by increasing the reaction temperature of gasifier and maintaining a certain amount of water vapor in the gasifier. Diffusion kurtosis imaging (DKI) as an emerging diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging technology is based on non-Gaussian model. Compared with conventional diffusion technologies, i.e., diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), DKI could be more sensitive to water diffusion in tissue microenvironment and can offer more plentiful diffusion information.
