Albedo is one of the key parameters in climatic studies. Investigating its temporal and spatial behavior can be a tool for understanding environmental changes. The MODIS sensor continuously produces the land surface albedo on a global scale and with the appropriate spatial resolution and makes it available to researchers. In this study, to analyze Iran’s surface albedo trend, first, the daily albedo data of the MODIS on Iran in the period from 1/1/2001 to 12/30/2021 with a spatial resolution of 500 meters was prepared from the NASA website. After the necessary pre-processing, the long-term seasonal and annual trend of Iran's albedo was calculated at the 90% confidence level using the non-parametric Mann-Kendall test. The findings showed that the albedo trend is positive in the lowland interior areas of Iran and negative in the highland areas. Since the decreasing trend of albedo in highland areas indicates the reduction of snow cover in these areas, this issue can challenge the life and water resources of these areas that rely on the accumulation of snow.

The need for electric vehicles and other portable devices globally, advancements in charging technologies, are inflection points in the evolution of upcoming batteries. The proper engineering of electrodes are essential for stability, lifetime and cyclability. Several materials have high theoretical capacity i.e Na, Al, Li are desirable for next generation fast charging batteries. However there are some drawbacks such as low columbic efficiency, dendrite growth and volume expansion restricting their practical applications. We organized many scheme and strategies for the engineering of these metal electrodes and electrolytes. The effect of many composite structure were found to improve the stability and cyclability. The carbon derivatives specially graphene, graphene oxide, carbon nanotube's, carbon fiber, graphite and their composites were studies and found to be the most suitable candidates for making the anode composite for better electrochemical performance of fast charging batteries.

The demand for engineering and advancement of supercapacitor electrodes are increasing globally. To address the production and storage capacity of the supercapacitor electrodes, the development of new kind of composite materials are highly needful. To design materials with high surface area, excellent conductivity, porosity, and mechanical stability are the main critical points that need to be addressed. Various strategies have been utilized to fabricate excellent composite materials for supercapacitor electrodes. The effect of many composite materials was found to enhance the cyclability and storage capacities of the supercapacitor electrodes. In a class of materials, graphene-based nanocomposites and their derivatives were found to be the most excellent and suitable candidates to design and fabricate supercapacitor electrodes. The alliance of several active materials when analyzed with graphene and its derivatives was found to improve further the performance and stability of supercapacitor electrodes.

A novel rod-shape BaNiSn-Graphene oxide decorated TiO2 composite (BaNiSn-GT) has beeen synthesized using a simple ultrasonic method to enhance the visible-light-driven H2 evolution. The unique structure between the interfaces of BaNiSn-Graphene and TiO2 provides graphene oxide of contact and excellent electron transfer for H2 evolution activity. The BaNiSn-GT ternary photocatalyst showed that the BaNiSn-GT displayed the highest H2-production rate of 1012 µmol h-1 g-1, which was about 4 times that of rod-shape BaNiSn and BaNiSn-G under visible light irradiation with scavenger media. Moreover, the higher photocurrent density of BaNiSn-GT is correlated with electron-hole recombination, providing evidence for its inhibition, which leads to a longer lifetime of carriers produced by photoelectrons. The mechanism of the photocatalytic H2 evolution of BaNiSn-GT based on a full physicochemical characterization was proposed. This study provides new insight into the efficient hydrogen-evolution of graphene-based photocatalysts.

Recently, bacterial cellulose-based wound dressings have gained lots of attention, and many studies have tried to improve the efficacy of these membranes with incorporation of different natural materials to fabricate an all-natural wound dressing with significant antibacterial and wound healing properties. In the present study, bacterial cellulose (BC) is produced from Gluconacetobacter xylinus to fabricate BC-based membranes. Then, chitosan (CS) and cinnamon extract (CE) are incorporated into the BC membranes to prepare an all-natural wound dressing. The obtained composite membrane (BC/CS/CE) is characterized according to chemical properties, surface morphology, mechanical properties, water absorptivity, water retention, CE release, antibacterial activity, biocompatibility, in vivo wound healing activity, and compared with BC and BC/CS membranes. The BC/CS/CE membrane is able to maintain appropriate moisture content for an acceptable period of time. Although the tensile strength and elongation at break values of the BC/CS/CE are slightly lower than the BC membrane, they are still in ideal ranges. The BC/CS/CE membrane exhibits significantly more antibacterial effects against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli in comparison with the BC and BC/CS which can be related to the sustained released profile of CE. In addition, BC/CS/CE is more biocompatible with L929 normal skin fibroblast cells in comparison with the BC and BC/CS membranes. Also, the BC/CS/CE membrane can meaningfully promote the wound healing progress compared with other membranes at the Wistar rats full-thickness skin wound model. The BC/CS/CE membrane-treated wounds have more developed dermis layer in comparison with other groups according to histopathological analyses. Taking together, the CS and CE enriched BC membranes can be a promising wound dressing with desirable properties.

Background: Understanding the disease symptoms is among the important psychological and behavioral variables in cancer treatment, which is based on the acquisition of information from different sources and patient's beliefs and can affect the mental health and capability of the individual in compliance with the disease. The present study aimed to investigate the relationship of coping strategies with death anxiety through the mediation of disease perception in patients with breast cancer in Abadan city in 2020. Methods: The study was a descriptive correlation performed by path analysis. The statistical population included all patients with breast cancer in Abadan city and 200 of which were selected as the sample of the study using convenience sampling. The research instruments included the Death Anxiety Scale (DAS), the Ways of Coping Questionnaire (WCQ), and the Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire (Brief IPQ). The proposed model was evaluated using path analysis with AMOS software. Results: The results showed that there was a significant association between problem-focused strategy and disease perception (P= 0.002), problem-focused strategy and death anxiety (P= 0.001), emotion-focused strategy and disease perception (P= 0.001), disease perception and death anxiety (P= 0.001). There was no significant association between problem-focused strategy and death anxiety. The results of path analysis indicated that disease perception played a mediating role in the association between the emotion- and problem-focused strategies with death anxiety (P= 0.01). Conclusion: According to the results of the study, the proposed model had a good fit and is an important step in identifying the factors affecting the death anxiety of patients with breast cancer.

Background & objective CD137 is a member of the TNF-Receptor family. TNF-alpha antagonists have therapeutic effect in active psoriasis. In this study, the relative frequency of CD137 expression was investigated in the inflammatory cells of psoriasis lesions for the first time. Methods The specimens were obtained from pathology department of Al-Zahra hospital from paraffin-embedded skin specimens collected from 2007 till 2016. . A total number of f 64 psoriasis skin specimens and 34 normal skin specimens were reviewed for the diagnosis. Then, the immunohistochemical staining for CD137, CD4, and CD8 was performed. Results CD137 expression of dermal inflammatory cells in psoriasis lesions was 11.19±5.5%. Although, in normal skin tissues, CD137 expression was observed in 1.3±3.03% of the inflammatory cells. (P=0.001). The relative frequency of the CD137 positive inflammatory cells was significantly higher in the epidermis compared to dermis (epidermis: 31.1%±12.8, dermis 11.1%±5.5). There was no remarkable relation between the CD137 expression rate and the CD4: CD8 ratio. Conclusion CD137 as a TNF-alpha receptor has a significant role in pathogenesis of the psoriasis lesions. Therefore, CD137 antagonists can be considered as a novel target for the treatment of incurable psoriasis patients.
