This study aims to examine the role of social values ​​of Islamic education in shaping the religious character of adolescents. The research method used is qualitative, with a literature study approach and content analysis of various relevant literature. Data and data sources in this study come from journal articles, books, and related documents published between 2020 and 2024. Data collection techniques are carried out through systematic literature searches using academic databases and digital libraries. Data analysis techniques use content analysis, where data is analyzed in depth to identify main patterns and themes related to the social values ​​of Islamic education and the formation of adolescent religious characters. The findings of the study indicate that social values ​​such as justice, equality, and social concern applied in Islamic education have a significant contribution to strengthening religious identity and increasing positive social behaviour in adolescents. The conclusion of this study confirms that the integration of Islamic social values ​​in the curriculum and school activities is very effective in shaping the religious character of adolescents. The implications of this study show the importance of implementing social values ​​in education to produce a young generation that is ethical and has integrity. Recommendations for further research are to develop more innovative strategies to address challenges in implementing these values, as well as explore the impact of external environmental influences such as social media on Islamic social values ​​education.

In the light of the modern approach to working with convicts, the main activities of Islamic clerics with persons serving sentences are singled out, aimed at the formation of a religious worldview, spiritual and moral education, as well as their integration into the system of social relations and inclusion in society. The educational value of religion and the main approaches to improving the organizational foundations of the activities of penitentiary institutions, with the leading role of Islamic clerics, are increasing. For this reason, it is becoming important to implement basic social, moral and religious measures in penitentiary institutions aimed at correcting the personality of convicts and developing qualities that ensure their inclusion in the life of society at a socially acceptable level. Effective re-socialization involves building a unified system of educational work in correctional institutions and providing assistance to persons after serving their sentences to adapt to society. The purpose of the article is to analyze the systematic activity of Islamic clerics of the Republic of Bashkortostan (RB) on the re-socialization of convicts, which is based on secular laws and religious norms. Materials and methods. The sources of the research are general scientific theoretical methods: analysis of sociological and psychological-pedagogical literature, materials and publications of pedagogical and periodical press, dissertations on the subject of research, regulatory and educational and program documentation; empirical methods: study, analysis and generalization of practical experience of Islamic clerics of the Republic of Belarus; Bibliographic methods: annotation, peer review, citation, thesis, etc. Results. The article provides a pedagogical analysis of views on the problem of resocialization of convicts; the role of religion in the spiritual and moral education of the persons considered in the work is determined, the activities of Islamic clerics with persons who are in penitentiary institutions and after their release are revealed; the main types of joint activities of correctional institutions, public organizations and religious associations aimed at organizing an effective educational system with convicts, contributing to positive re-socialization and the formation of a full-fledged member of civil society, are revealed. The materials can be used in working with people who are in correctional institutions, when providing them with assistance after serving their sentence (socialization, employment, etc.), for working with employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service. This research aims to examine the role played by Ma'arif Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Educational Institutions in depicting the dynamics of Islamic education development in Indonesia. The focus of this research is to analyze the contribution of these educational institutions to the evolution of the Islamic education system, both in terms of curriculum, teaching methods, and their impact on student character formation. The research method includes historical analysis discussing the history and development of Ma'arif NU Educational Institutions since their establishment. The main data sources involve historical documents, archives, and interviews with key actors in these educational institutions, such as teachers, students, and administrators. The results of this research are expected to provide a comprehensive overview of how the role of Ma'arif NU Educational Institutions has shaped and influenced the context of Islamic education in Indonesia. Additionally, this research will also discuss the challenges and opportunities faced by these educational institutions in responding to the changing times and evolving educational demands.

This research aims to examine the efforts of GUPPI in reforming Islamic education in Indonesia. This study employs a literature review methodology, utilizing a qualitative approach with a historical method. Data is collected through literature from various journals and relevant websites concerning the research subject. The findings reveal that GUPPI experienced fluctuations, both during the New Order era and the Reform era. During the New Order era, GUPPI saw institutional development in assets and territory, indicating significant progress due to its political ties with Golkar. However, GUPPI's idealism to further develop Islamic education stagnated during the Reform era. In the VII GUPPI Congress in 1998, GUPPI disaffiliated from the Golkar party and returned to being an independent organization. Post-VII and VIII Congresses from 2005 to 2011, GUPPI continued to grapple with internal issues and sought strategies for revival.

This case study investigates the complicated dynamics of curriculum development in Aceh, Indonesia's culturally varied and spiritually significant higher education institutions. This study explores the Aceh higher education curriculum's structural components and pedagogical methods, focusing on Islamic cultural sensitivity and preservation. The study's iterative process comprised semi-structured student and faculty interviews, expert consultations, and stakeholder feedback. This study examines the complex process of creating a localized educational framework that boosts academic achievement, taking culture and religiosity into account. The research underlines the necessity of community involvement and local actors like religious leaders in shaping curriculum content to provide cultural meaning and real-world relevance. The findings shed light on Aceh's unique challenges and opportunities and apply to similar cultural and religious contexts. This study adds to the academic discussion about higher education curriculum development. In particular, it emphasizes the importance of cultural and religious awareness to create an engaging and culturally relevant educational environment.

Islamic Education Management is an effort to achieve a disciplined and directed education that is based on Islamic values and principles. However, not all Islamic educational institutions understand the management of Islamic education that is based on Islamic principles. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the form of actualization of the principles of Islamic education management in Daarul Hikmah Islamic boarding school in Bogor Regency. The method used in this research uses qualitative case studies (Field Research). The technique of collecting data sources obtained through observation and interviews to obtain relevant data about the actualization of the principles of Islamic education management. The data analysis technique process uses a data reduction process. The results of this study indicate that the form of actualization of the principles of Islamic education management is fair and efficient in planning management, responsible and dynamic in organizing management, sincere, trustworthy and responsible in implementation management, honest and fair in supervision and evaluation. This research seeks to contribute a strong theoretical basis in improving the quality of Islamic education management.

Islamic education in Indonesia is faced with inadequate quality and quantity of teachers, as well as very low educational effectiveness. This can hinder the achievement of educational goals. Leadership is one of the factors that determine the success of educational programs. A leader's leadership style refers to his traits, knowledge, skills, and problem-solving abilities. This research is qualitative, with a library research method, which aims to find out the characteristics of Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq's charismatic leadership listed in the book Al-Bidayah wan Nihayah and find out whether these characteristics have relevance to leadership in Islamic higher education. The subject of this research is the head of the Islamic Education Management study program (MPI) at STAI Terpadu Yogyakarta. Data were collected using interview and documentation techniques, and the validity of the data was tested using triangulation techniques. The results of the study state that the book Al-Bidayah wan Nihayah explains the leadership characteristics of Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq which are shown through wise, fair and not favoritism, determined and firm, as well as caring and compassion. These characteristics are relevant to the leadership style of the head of MPI STAI Terpadu Yogyakarta.

Various factors, including technical, organisational, cultural, and individual, can influence how people adopt digital technologies (DT). However, different contexts have produced similar yet distinct results when researchers integrated these various factors into the technology acceptance model (TAM). Two critical factors in the Islamic educational context that are scarcely addressed in the literature are perceived educational compatibility (PIC) and digital self-efficacy (DSE). Therefore, the study aspires to address the existing gaps by examining the determinants of intention to accept DT in Islamic education by integrating a contextual factor into TAM. We used a quantitative survey to acquire data from Islamic university students in Brunei, and a sample of 160 cases was obtained through Google Forms. Using the SEM-PLS (structural-equation-modelling-partial least squares) approach, the data was analysed through the ADANCO software to test the study’s seven hypotheses. The results were that all hypotheses were significantly supported, including the significant effects of both DSE and PIC, besides two TAM’s core variables, on learners’ intention to utilise digital technology for learning purposes. The model explained 64.3% of behavioural intention. The findings’ implications from our study are provided for both theoretical advancement and pragmatic considerations for the effective integration of DTs in religious and non-religious educational institutes.

Moderation in Islam means the middle position between two opposite, exaggerated views, with neither view dominating the other. The study questions are: What are the practices of Islamic education teachers in promoting moderation values through their own personal expression of aqeedah?, What are the practices of Islamic education teachers in promoting moderation values at the professional level?, What are the challenges facing Islamic education teachers in promoting moderation values?, and Are there statistically significant differences between average responses about promoting moderation values a) through the teachers’ own personal expression of aqeedah and b) at the professional level, based on the variable of years of educational experience? The study applied SPSS to perform a statistical analysis, 1) Cronbach’s alpha equation, 2) arithmetic averages and standard deviations, and 3) ANOVA analysis and Scheffe test. The results indicate that teachers build learners’ personalities based on moderation, away from extremism. However, the absence of religious scruples and the negative effects of technology create difficulties, and statistically significant differences emerge in promoting moderation values due to the teachers’ years of educational experience. The results can inform the education and security sectors in developing strategies and preventive programs to enhance students’ moderation values.

AbstractThis present article aims to discover the factors driving the transformation of the Teungku Dayahs’ learning model in Aceh. This article argues that Teungku Dayahs in Islamic educational institutions have renewed their teaching perspective. A qualitative approach was taken. Interviews, observation, and online sources were used for data collection. We utilized a snowball sampling method to select our participants. Thematic analysis was employed to identify, categorize, and analyze the key patterns and themes. To conduct our study with the utmost ethical standards, we began by obtaining consent from all participants and ensuring that their confidentiality was safeguarded. To ensure the reliability of our results, we utilized various data sources and cross-verified our findings with the participants to confirm the appropriateness of our collected data. The findings showed three main factors leading to the learning model transformation by the Teungku Dayahs: A paradigm shift, a shifting perception of media use, and a changing view of the learning environment. The study reveals the importance of technological integration into the learning model. The study suggests the need for a firm government policy to support, provide, and enhance technological skills and competencies among educators to help them integrate technology into their teaching.

This article discusses the way teachers in primary and secondary schools in England engaged with a project to develop a Worldviews approach to Islam in the RE classroom. The project identified challenges and barriers to the teaching of Worldviews that were demonstrated by some teachers' unwillingness to engage with knowledge and curriculum content that they believed to be illegitimate or controversial. The authors use Basil Bernstein's idea of educational knowledge to explore the way teachers made decisions about what pupils should be permitted to learn about and what should be ignored in relation to Islam. This article explores the integration of hip-hop with Islamic themes in the religious education (RE) classroom, with a focus on transcending the constraints of traditional narratives and creating a dynamic and wide-ranging understanding of Islamic traditions of interpretations. Drawing inspiration from Richard Bulliet's book Islam: A View from the Edge and the creative potential of hip-hop, the article argues that educators can open new avenues for teaching and learning about Islamic traditions. By incorporating hip-hop based education (HHBE), educators can engage students through contemporary mediums and provide a relatable and engaging stage for the exploration of Islam. The article also highlights the importance of African American Islam and its intersection with hip-hop in understanding the worldview of many Muslims (and non-Muslims) worldwide. The article suggests strategies such as exploring Islam through hip-hop music videos, examining the legacy of Malcolm X in hip-hop, and considering the local context and languages of students to enrich the exploration of Islam. The research aims to analyze organizational communication, communication climate, and conflict resolution in building the loyalty of educators and educational staff at Pesantren ArRaudlatul Hasanah, Medan, North Sumatra. This research uses a constructivist paradigm with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out using interviews of informants from the Director, Manager of Finance, Secretary, and four senior teachers, participant observation, and document analysis. The results of the research show that the organizational communication strategy at Pesantren ArRaudlatul Hasanah is to build the loyalty of educators and education staff through establishing a good communication climate with a human relations approach. A healthy communication climate is formed by a democratic leadership style, so that policies and rules implemented based on mutual agreement can be well accepted by subordinates. A leader can discover the sincerity of their members, enhancing their work spirit. This study aims to understand transformational leadership behaviors that interpret member sincerity and its manifestation in fostering innovation in Islamic boarding school education. Employing phenomenology, data was collected through participatory interviews with the head and founder of Salman Assalam Science Islamic Boarding School, two teachers, and one administrative staff. Structured observations from activities to curriculum revealed inclusive leadership discourse. Triangulation, comprising observation and interviews, ensured data validity, further supported by member checks and audits. Findings indicate that sincerity in transformational leadership is likened to the soul, while action represents the body, fostering a conducive environment and nurturing creativity and innovation in Islamic boarding school education. The aim of research was to compare leadership style in Islamic Azad Universities of Iran and Canadian universities. A comparative research method with a mixed approach was used. The data collection tool in the qualitative phase was a semi-structured interview, using the snowball technique and based on the saturation law, 19 experts from the studied universities were selected. In the quantitative phase, the statistical population included all the faculty members of these universities, 250 of whom were selected by simple random sampling. Also, a researcher-made questionnaire based on qualitative phase result was used to collect data. Qualitative data analysis was done by analyzing the content of the interviews, coding and extracting codes and categories and identifying their relationship. In this way, 72 concepts are classified in the form of 15 categories under the four styles of transformational, structural, servant and visionary leadership. The findings showed that Canadian universities are more inclined towards transformational, visionary and servant leadership styles, while in Islamic Azad Universities of Iran; more tendencies towards structural leadership style is shown. According to the findings, It is recommended to policy-makers of higher education in Iran, to pay attention to the application of various leadership styles. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The relevance of the research theme, lies in its importance for the effective formation of a harmoniously developed personality and society, as well as maintaining the cultural, social and economic prosperity of the modern society. The purpose of this article is to study the social aspects of the educational potential within the framework of Islamic studies, as well as to reveal the conceptual approach to its understanding. The publication materials are the information from scientific and practical disciplines, highlighting the implementation of social aspects of the educational potential of the Islamic studies in its natural environment and in a foreign context, as well as monographic works on the topic and sources that are a fixation of research observations in the field of modernization of the educational and social systems of the society life. The following concepts are the result of its study: fixing the problem under study as a composite and inseparable and a large-scale system; determination of its leading categories; establishing the relationship between its components; the authors’ interpretation of this topic as a panoramic phenomenon interconnected with many other spheres of society. Democracy and frequent changes of government in Kyrgyzstan contribute to the spread of various religious movements in the country. Social processes, political shifts and the spread of radical religious ideas among young people emphasize the relevance of this study. The purpose of this article is to assess the impact of Kyrgyzstan's religious policy on the religious consciousness of contemporary youth. The study used general scientific methods of analysis and synthesis, generalization, historical and critical, comparative, dialectical, as well as empirical methods of surveys and questionnaires. The study showed that the religious policy of Kyrgyzstan is characterized by democracy and liberalism, based on the secular nature of the state. Kyrgyzstan is a multi-confessional country, with more than 30 religions. The vast majority of Kyrgyzstan's population are Sunni Muslims, and the second most common religious denomination is Orthodox Christianity. Since 1991, Kyrgyzstan has witnessed a process of Islamization, and non-traditional religious movements, both Islamic and other religious doctrines, have also penetrated and gained popularity in the country. The state's liberal policy in the field of religion facilitates the penetration of non-traditional religious organizations from abroad into Kyrgyzstan. Young people are particularly susceptible to new religious movements. This phenomenon can lead to the spread of radical religious ideas among the youth of Kyrgyzstan. In this regard, the state should pay closer attention to the policy in the field of religion. The active development of modern information and digital society activates the issues of prospects and the search for ways of high-quality training of applicants for higher education in the speciality “Islamic Studies” in Kazakhstan and the creation of a modern system of methodological tools for such training as a guarantee of success and competitiveness of specialists in the field of Islamic studies in modern conditions on the labour market. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the need to improve the system of methodological tools used in the process of preparing applicants for higher education in Kazakhstan. In the course of a study conducted at the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture Nur Mubarak (Almaty) and the College of the Astana Madrassa, a methodological system for training applicants for technical and professional, post-secondary, and higher education in the speciality “Islamic Studies” is developed. In the course of the study, a survey is conducted among students and teachers to examine the level of Islamic education in the Republic of Kazakhstan for the following components of the survey: motivation for learning, development of professional competencies, use of innovative technologies and techniques, ways to improve Islamic education, problems of Islamic education, social interest of the population regarding Islamic education. Recommendations for improving the quality of Islamic education are formulated. This research identifies potential advancements in the methodology for educating candidates at technical, vocational, post-secondary, and tertiary levels, with a focus on incorporating aspects of preparedness for Islamic education. The relevance of this article covers historical, religious, local and diplomatic factors, which reflect the importance of research and the multifaceted nature of Isbijab. The purpose is to study the Isbijab School of fiqh law in the Middle Ages in the context of Islamic law and the history of Kazakhstan. In this work, standard historiographical methods are used: historical-systemic method, historical-comparative method, method of historical periodization and others. The main result is to clarify the role of the fiqh school of Isbijab in the context of studying the history of Islamic law on the territory of modern Kazakhstan and in the region as a whole. The authors also found that Isbijab was one of the centres of Islamic studies and law not only in Kazakhstan but also in the whole of Central Asia in the XI to XII centuries. It was the time when Isbijab developed its legal concept and school of fiqh, the Hanafi madhhab. This school of Islamic law introduced a new generation of legal scholars and their pupils, whose major works and academic degrees paved their way in the historiography. Their experience helped the researchers to study the manuscript works of medieval Isbijab jurists from a historical-legal and theological point of view. The paper shows the findings of an ongoing study of Isbijab legal practitioners in the framework of the "Mukhtasar al-Tahawi" book. Work has practical relevance not only in the context of Islamic studies and Islamic law but also in history, international relations, country knowledge and in other disciplines. The research relevance is predefined by the ideas of the religious figure Abu Ya’la ibn al-Farra’ and his influence on the formation and development of the ideas of another religious figure Ibn Taymiyyah and the insufficient study of idea formation in the modern stage. The research aims to examine the impact of Abu Ya’la’s religious views on the formation and development of Ibn Taymiyyah’s religious concepts. The main research objective is to analyse the doctrines of Abu Ya’la ibn al-Farra’ and Ibn Taymiyyah and to determine how the ideology of one figure influenced the views of the other. The following research methods were used: structural-functional, dialectical, synthesis, logical, generalisation, and comparative analysis. The research findings demonstrate that Ibn Taymiyyah frequently consulted the works of Abu Ya'la and actively endorsed philosophy while developing his own ideological concepts. Throughout their lives, Abu Ya’la and Ibn Taymiyyah followed the tanzih aqidah and later began to follow the tashbih aqidah. They led an active political life and organised insurgencies. The research’s practical significance is predefined by the theoretical provisions, conclusions and recommendations that can be used in educational institutions by teachers and students to improve knowledge about the formation of two religious concepts, and the influence of Abu Ya’la ibn al-Farra’s ideas on the formation of Ibn Taymiyyah’s ideas, as well as by other scholars studying Islam in general, as well as the Hanbali school. Background. Today's science and technology play an important role in education. However, it resulted in many changes in the social and moral order. Students are required to catch up and master increasingly sophisticated science and technology. So the process of forgetting religious and moral values because they are considered ancient, stylish things are considered advanced and modern. The influence of advances in science and technology can be countered by means of education, especially Islamic Religious Education. Purpose. The role of Islamic Religious Education helps to restore morals and ethics in the pursuit of science and technology. This role is explained in the Koran that humans are created with eyes to see, ears to hear and hearts to consider what is pursued in gaining knowledge. The aim of this research is to determine the role of Islamic Religious Education on science and technology. Method. This research involves students to get the desired results. The method used in the research is a quantitative method by distributing questionnaires to students via Google Form Results. The research results show that the role of Islamic religious education in science and technology has a big influence on the educational process. Conclusion. The conclusion from the research is that the role of Islamic Religious Education must be increased further in following developments in science and technology. Therefore, the limitation of the research is that the researcher did not undertake to look at the role of Islamic Religious Education in the world of science and technology in the 21st century. Background. Teachers tend to carry out teaching and learning activities using only one learning tactic, namely lecture tactics. Even though there are many learning tactics, one of them is TikTok media Purpose. This research aims to utilize TikTok software as a student motivation tool and improve a more interesting learning style in learning the history of Islamic culture. Method. The research method that the researcher used was a quantitative method with a survey model, a survey tool using Google from and in-depth interviews. The survey used in this research was WhatsApp. Results. This research produces a TikTok media that is applied by teachers in the teaching and learning process as a motivational tool and improves student learning achievement. Conclusion. The conclusion of this research explains that the role of TikTok really helps teachers in the teaching and learning process in Islamic cultural history subjects so that student achievement increases. The limitation of this research is that researchers can only develop the TikTok platform as a medium for learning the history of Islamic culture in one lesson and only as a motivation tool and improve student learning achievement so that it is not boring. The millennial phenomenon becomes very interesting when faced with the condition of Islamic education in Indonesia. On the one hand, Islamic education has a target and orientation to create perfect human beings. However, on the other hand, at the same time, Islamic education must be able to develop the skills, abilities, potential and behavior of its followers in responding to internal challenges and the challenges of the global world that has opened wide before us. "Hard impacts" will be increasingly felt and it will not be easy to reduce them, when Islamic education has to struggle and struggle with the world of the millennial era. When it comes to millennials, there are several problems that are already facing the world of Islamic education. This research aims to analyze the perspective of Islamic religious education in building student character in the current of globalization in the millennial era. The research method used is a qualitative method with a qualitativephenomenological approach. The research subjects were Balikpapan University FKIP students who were selected using purposive sampling. The object of this research is students in the role of Islamic Religious Education in the formation of morals and character in the millennial generation era. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The main instrument in this research is the researcher himself. Testing the validity of the data is carried out by: extending observations, increasing persistence, triangulation. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The research findings show that the role of Islamic religious education for students in the millennial era is seen as the guardian of national and religious values to produce quality Muslim scholars. The study aimed to identify the appropriate content and educational methods used to teach Islamic education curriculum to basic education pupils in Khartoum-Karri local state. To achieve that, the researchers used the analytical descriptive curriculum and the study sample consisted of 278 teachers. A questionnaire was used as the data collection tool. The study found the following: Most members of the sample agreed on the appropriateness of the Islamic Education Course objectives for students of the second cycle of the basic education. Meeting the end-of-life care needs of particular groups in Australia remains challenging, especially those people who are culturally and/or religiously diverse. One such group is those adherents to Islam, whose communities come from many parts of the world. to develop connections with the Islamic community, to understand their end-of-life care needs. over 12 months palliative care staff and members of the Islamic community met to prepare for and deliver a seminar to assist understandings between the Islamic community and palliative care services. A seminar, attended by 79 participants, addressed issues like palliative care and Islam; how palliative care works; advance care planning; care coordination; and bereavement. Many commonalities emerged, to provide a foundation for further activities; and the process demonstrated the importance of working together, and highlighted opportunities for shared collaborative work. Virtual learning, necessitated by COVID-19, is novel in Kuwait. This study explores Islamic education pre-service teachers' perceptions regarding online learning experiences with virtual discussions to demonstrate its effectiveness in interaction, engagement, and socialization. Data were collected from 161 female Islamic education pre-service teachers enrolled at (Kuwait University). A mixed methods research approach confirmed the participants' positive perceptions regarding the virtual learning experience and the role of virtual discussions in fostering engagement, interaction, and perceived learning. Virtual discussions maximized peer cooperation, enforced communication skills, and generated constructive feedback. The drawback was that a few pre-service teachers dominated the discussion, highlighting the importance of the instructor's guidance in achieving learning outcomes. For these teachers in training, this study clarifies the impact of virtual discussions on learning outcomes and in fostering interaction and engagement and helps them understand the importance of being heard, communicating ideas, and sharing perspectives in a virtual environment. Islamic education provides a strong moral and ethical foundation. Through religious teachings, individuals are taught values such as honesty, patience, justice, and compassion. The concept of Mujahadah, or the desperate attempt to control lust, is an integral part of Islamic teachings. Islamic education teaches that self-control is the key to managing Nafs which tends to negative desires. Individuals are taught to overcome temptation and place obedience to God above personal desires. Islamic education encourages the practice of muhasabah, which is self-introspection. Through reflection on actions and behaviors, individuals can better understand their Nafs, identify weaknesses, and take steps for selfimprovement. It helps in the management of Nafs and the development of spirituality. Worship in Islam, such as prayer, fasting, and dhikr, has a direct impact on the state of the heart (Qalb) and the control of Nafs. Prayer for example, is not only a formal ritual, but also a means of direct communication with Allah that can provide calm and strength to administer Nafs. Neuroscience or called neuroscience is a field of science which studies the nervous system or neuron system. This study aims to 1) to determine the ability of reason to implement the values of darkness 2) to know the harmony of Islamic religious teachings with human reason 3) to strengthen that Islamic teachings are in accordance with human reason. This type of research is a case study with a qualitative approach. The subjects of the study consisted of principals, teachers, and students. The subjects of the study were determined based on purposive sampling. The research data were collected through semistructured interviews, observation, and documentation. Islamic Religious Education (IRE) in schools plays a significant role in shaping individuals' religious values. A study was conducted to uncover the influence of IRE and religious character on the self-reliance of 11th-grade students at SMA Negeri 3 Boyolali in the academic year 2021/2022. A quantitative correlational method was employed with a population of 323 students. A sample of 20 individuals was selected using stratified simple random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive methods, Product Moment correlation, regression, t-test, F-test, and R2 test. The research findings indicate that the implementation of IRE has a positive and significant effect on student self-reliance. Similarly, religious character has an equally significant influence on student self-reliance. Both factors contribute significantly to student self-reliance simultaneously. In conclusion, higher implementation of IRE and stronger religious character lead to increased self-reliance among 11th-grade students at SMA Negeri 3 Boyolali in the academic year 2021/2022. This research is dedicated to KH. Ahmad Rafiq Udin in developing Islamic education at the Ushuluddin Integrated Islamic Boarding School. KH. Ahmad Rafiq Udin has been the Head of Ushuluddin Integrated Islamic Boarding School since 2001. He was instrumental in developing Islamic education in the intermediary of South Lampung Regency. This study describes the history of KH. Ahmad Rafiq Udin developed Islamic education in the integrated Islamic boarding school Ushuluddin. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of KH. Ahmad Rafiq Udin in developing the Islamic education at the Ushuluddin Integrated Islamic Boarding School. This research uses qualitative methods with a type of qualitative descriptive research. The data collection methods used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study reveal several things. First, it was found that KH. Ahmad Rafiq Udin is very firm, friendly, responsible, disciplined, and should be followed byeveryone. Second, the educational development process at the Ushuluddin Integrated Islamic Boarding School is carried out through various methods, such as setting examples, habituating certain behaviors, providing advice and motivation, conducting supervision, setting prohibitions and regulations, and implementing punitive measures. This research highlights the crucial role of KH. Ghalib in enriching literacy through Islamic preaching and education in the Lampung Province. The research methodology employs a historical approach comprising four steps: heuristic, verification, interpretation, and historiography. Primary information was obtained through interviews with community figures in Pringsewu who have in-depth knowledge of KH. Ghalib's role in preaching. The research results indicate that KH. Ghalib was a reformist fighter born in 1899 in Mojosantren Village, Krian, East Java. After completing his education at the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, he embarked on a preaching journey that took him to various regions in Indonesia, including North Sumatra, Malaysia, and Kalimantan. In 1927, after performing the Hajj pilgrimage, KH. Ghalib arrived in Singapore and from there, he traveled to Pringsewu, Lampung. KH. Ghalib established the first madrasah in the region in 1930, using an education method based on memorization and sorogan. Additionally, KH. Ghalib was active in preaching activities and managed various economic initiatives to support the operation of the madrasah. These efforts demonstrate the significant role of KH. Ghalib in promoting Islamic literacy in the Pringsewu Subdistrict, making a substantial contribution to the development of education and the dissemination of Islamic values in the community during the period of 1930-1945.
