Penelitian dengan judul “Analisa Kinerja dan Fungsional Jaringan Irigasi Tradisional untuk Produksi Lahan Pertanian di Kenagarian Taratak Baru “ sudah dilakukan penelitian pada bulan Maret 2018 di Kenagarian Taratak Baru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa kinerja dan fungsional jaringan irigasi tradisional untuk produksi lahan pertanian di Kenagarian Taratak Baru. Jaringan irigasi yang diteliti adalah jaringan irigasi Tobek Lodan dan Kandang Motung.Penelitian ini diawali dengan identifikasi, penelusuran, mengamati jaringan irigasi, selanjutnya dilakukan dengan pengukuran luas daerah irigasi dan pembuatan peta jaringan irigasi. Kemudian dilakukan pengambilan data debit dengan mengukur kecepatan aliran di saluran irigasi, pengukuran karakteristik jaringan irigasi, produksi lahan, menganalisa kinerja dan fungsional jaringan irigasi.Nilai total efisiensi pada jaringan irigasi Tobek Lodan dan Kandang Motung adalah

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan bubuk angkak terhadap karakteristik sosis ikan gabus dan mengetahui konsentrasi terbaik dari bubuk angkak yang digunakan sebagai pewarna alami sosis ikan gabus. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan, A (0%), B (0,5%), C (1%), D (1,5%) dan E (2%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan bubuk angkak berpengaruh nyata terhadap kadar abu, warna, organoleptik (tekstur dan warna), tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap kadar air, kadar lemak, kadar protein, nilai pH, organoleptik (rasa dan aroma). Angka lempeng total dari sosis ikan gabus yang dihasilkan sudah memenuhi standar SNI. Produk terbaik adalah perlakuan C menggunakan penambahan bubuk angkak 1% berdasarkan analisis sensori dengan karakteristik kadar air 77,15%, kadar abu 3,44%, nilai pH 6,71, angka lempeng total 4,3 x 104cfu/g, nilai aktivitas antioksidan 16,85%, kadar protein 17,37%, kadar lemak 1,380%, 0Hue 29,50, dan lovastatin 1,22 ppm. Various types of mangrove plants found in coastal areas have a specific strategy to deal with pollution conditions from heavy metals. One of the several strategies used by mangroves is by accumulating various kinds of heavy metals in various parts of the tree. Most species of mangroves such as Avicennia marina, Rhizophora mucronata, Sonneratia caseolaris, Bruguiera gymnorhyza and others apply this strategy. Avicennia marina and Rhizophora mucronata are pioneer mangrove species that are able to accumulate heavy metals in the roots, stems and leaves. These species are also act as indicator of the sustainability of mangrove ecosystems. The presence of heavy metals will reduce water quality subsequently will decline the overall condition of the ecosystem. How big is the ability of Avicenia marina and Rhizopohora mucronata mangroves to absorb copper (Cu) and Lead (Pb) metals and how the conditions of the aquatic environment surrounding mangroves during heavy metal stress are need to be studied. Analysis of Cu and Pb heavy metals contents were carried out at the Chemistry Laboratory of the USU Medan Pharmacy Faculty. The mangrove species used for the analysis of Cu and Pb heavy metals were A.marina and R. mucronata that grew in Muara Sungai coastal areas from April to August 2018. The results showed heavy metal content of Cu was greater than Pb in wire roots, stems and leaves of A. marina trees. Analysis of roots, leaves and bark of R. mucronata also found greater content of Cu heavy metals than Pb.

The purpose of this study was to examine the food habits and length-weight relationship of java barb (BarbonymusgonionotusBleeker) in Reubeeriver, Pidie. This study was conducted in August – September 2017. Ten samples fish were collected using purposive sampling method from the fishermen's landing sites along Reubeeriver. The digestive tract investigation showed that as many as 8 from 10 total fish sample were filled by food. Then, the food wasexamined and resulted in 6 types: moss liver (Antheceroptopsida sp.), bamboo roots pentung (Dendrocalamusasper), bilis fish (Mystacoleucus sp.), fig leaf (Ficusracemosa), jerbung shrimp (Penaeusmerguiensis), and worms (Lumbricusrubellus). The highest percentage of occurrence frequency and index of propenderence found on Moss respectively 100% and 57%, while the highest percentage of volumetric value obtained on shrimp (35%). The analysis of food habits indicated that Java barb (Barbonymusgonionotus) in Reubee River is a group of omnivores that tend to be herbivorous fish with a ratio of 3:1 gut length. The result of calculation of lenght-weight relationship on 50 fish samples depicted an average of 127.42 mm with an average weight of 56.46 grams. While the result of growth pattern calculation was allometrik negative with b value equal to 0.938 which means long growth was faster than weight fish body. The condition factor gave a normal pattern with a value of 107.16.

Tidal lakes are unique lakes because of the fluctuations of the water in the lake are influenced by the sea tides. Therefore, Tidal lakes are also called brackish lakes or salty lakes. Thus, the organisms that live in the lake must be able to adapt to the dynamics of brackish water changes. Therefore, the study of the biodiversity of flora and fauna is interesting to study related to organisms that are able to live and adapt to dynamic environments. This research was carried out in Siombak Lake, Medan City, North Sumatra Province from June to July 2018. The data collected were organisms in the form of flora (mangroves and aquatic plants) and fauna (ictiofauna or nekton which were fish, shrimp, crab, and mollusca). The results of research in the Siombak Lake ecosystem found 7 species of mangroves, 5 species of coastal plants, and 2 species of aquatic plant. Fauna found were 14 species of fish, 7 species of gastropods, and 1 species of bivalve, 1 species of shrimp and 1 species of crab.

Asiatic hard clam (Meretrix meretrix) was one of molluscs (bivalve) with economical value. However, fishing activities were presumed to cause a decline in population. This condition was strengthened by the size of the clam which became smaller nowadays. The purpose of this study was to determine spatial distribution of M. meretrix, length distribution, and length-weight relationship. The study was conducted at 3 stations, consisted of Station I at Asahan River estuary which was located by mangrove forest, Station II at the sea and Station III at the waters near mainland of Batu Bara Regency. Estimation growth of M. meretrix was examined following FISAT II method. The density of M. meretrix was dominant at Station I which was low in salinity and high in organic matter. The upstream of Wampu Waters is a habitat for various fish species including Tor spp fish. Fluctuating conditions of habitat will greatly affect the existence of fish as diversity, uniformity, dominance, and abundance of fish. This research was conducted to determine of the condition of habitat and diversity of Tor spp fish in the upstream of Wampu waters. Measurement of habitat conditions by measuring current velocity, depth, temperature, visibility, DO and pH. The method was used n this research is descriptive post facto with fishing using backpack electrofishing units, 12 volts and 9 amperes of battery with the multiple-pass depletion operation technique. Habitat conditions in both research locations are good and appropriate to support the life of fish of Tor spp. Tor fish species was found are Tor soro and Tor tambroides with low fish diversity index of Tor spp of 0.5 for the Bahorok River and 0.61 for the Berkail River, lowest evenness index of 0.09 was found in the Bahorok River and 0.11 in the Berkail River and lowest dominance index of 0.17 were found in the Bahorok River and 0.2 in the Berkail River.

Penelitian ini dilakukan dari bulan Oktober hingga November 2016. Sampel diambil dari 3 stasiun dengan ulangan sebanyak 3 kali di kawasan perairan Tanjungbalai, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Hasil penelitian ditemukan sebanyak 2393 individu yang terdiri dari 6 keluarga dan 14 spesies. Jenis hasil bivalvia adalah Anadara granosa, Anadara gubernaculum, Anadara inaequivalvis, Donax faba, Mactra grandis, Modiolus micropterus, Atrina pectinata, Calista erycina, Calista lilacina, Dosinia dilecta, Mertrix meretrix, Paphia gallus, Paphia undulata, Tapes sulcarius. This research was conducted from October to November 2016. The samples was taken from 3 stations with repeating 3 times in Tanjungbalai Waters of North Sumatra Province. The results of the research was found as many as 2393 individuals consisting of 6 families and 14 species. The type of bivalves results are Anadara granosa , Anadara gubernaculum , Anadara inaequivalvis , Donax faba , Mactra grandis , Modiolus micropterus , Atrina pectinata, Calista erycina , Calista lilacina , Dosinia dilecta , Mertrix meretrix , Paphia gallus , Paphia undulata , Tapes sulcarius .

Penelitian ini dilakukan di Sungai Belumai Kabupaten Deli Serdang Provinsi Sumatera Utara pada Bulan Mei dan juni 2014 di empat lokasi yang berbeda dengan menggunakan metode sensus. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui aspek pertumbuhan (sebaran frekuensi panjang, hubungan panjang bobot, faktor kondisi dan koefisien pertumbuhan). Jumlah ikan lemeduk yang tertangkap adalah 55 ekor. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa populasi ikan didominasi oleh sebaran ukuran kelas panjang 174-194 mm. Hasil hubungan panjang berat menunjukkan bahwa pola pertumbuhan ikan bersifat allometrik negatif (b=2,565) dimana pertambahan panjang lebih cepat dibandingkan pertambahan berat. Nilai faktor kondisi ikan lemeduk (Barbodes schwanenfeldii) berkisar 0,946-1,059.This research was done in Belumai River Deli Serdang District North Sumatera Province. This research was conducted in May until June 2014 in four different locations by using census method. The purpose of this research is to know the aspect of growt (length frequency distribution, length-weight relationship, condition factor and growth coefficient). The number of lemeduk fish which caught were 55 fish. Result shown that the population is dominate by length frequency distribution 174-194 mm. Result length-weight relationship shown that growth pattern was allometric negative (b=2,565) where the length is faster growth than the weight. The condition factor of lemeduk fish was around 0,946-1,059.

Kepiting bakau (Scylla serrata) merupakan salah satu spesies kunci dalam ekosistem mangrove yang memegang peranan yang sangat penting. Hutan mangrove yang ada di Kelurahan Belawan Sicanang sudah banyak mengalami konversi lahan seperti tambak dan pemukiman. Kondisi ini menyebabkan terjadinya penurunan kualitas habitat dan penurunan populasi untuk sumberdaya kepiting bakau akibat terjadinya kerusakan daerah asuhan dan mencari makan biota ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi ekologi mangrove, untuk mengetahui kelimpahan kepiting bakau (Scylla serrata), untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan kepiting bakau (Scylla serrata) di Hutan Mangrove Kelurahan Belawan Sicanang Kecamatan Medan Belawan Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Penelitian berlangsung pada Mei - Juni 2016. Metode yang digunakan dalam penentuan lokasi adalah purposive sampling dan dibagi menjadi 3 stasiun berdasarkan aktivitas yang berbeda. Struktur populasi kepiting bakau (Scylla serrata) ditinjau dari kelimpahan kepiting bakau (Scylla serrata), hubungan lebar karapas dengan bobot tubuh, pola pertumbuhan, dan faktor kondisi. Cerpen Saluang Saja yang Menyampaikan dan cerpen Pemantik Api yang Melayang dari Jendela karya Ode Barta Ananda merupakan sebuah karya sastra yang berlatar sosial masyarakat Minangkabau. Kedua cerpen ini mempresentasikan kehidupan sosial masyarakat Minangkabau, terutama dalam lembaga perkawinan. Kedua cerpen ini diteliti untuk mengungkapkan permasalahan yang terjadi dalam perkawinan tokoh cerita dan relevansinya dengan masyarakat Minangkabau saat ini. Kedua cerpen ini dikaji dengan menggunakan teori sosiologi sastra. Teori sosiologi sastra digunakan untuk menganalisis kehidupan sosial masyarakat dalam sebuah karya satra kemudian menghubungkannya dengan realitas kehidupan masyarakat saat karya itu lahir dan setelah karya itu ada. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kepustakaan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kedua cerpen karya Ode Barta Ananda merupakan refleksi dari kehidupan masyarakat Minang terutama dalam hal perkawinan. Melalui karyanya tersebut, pengarang ingin menegaskan bahwa kegagalan perkawinan dalam masyarakat banyak disebabkan oleh faktor ketidaksetiaan, minimnya ekonomi, perzinaan, krisis moral, dan konflik kedudukan yang terjadi pada rumah tangga. High market demand for A. gubernaculum, tends to increase the greater catching capacity so that the decreasing population. The aims of this study were to determine the growth and rate of exploitation of A. gubernaculum in Asahan aquatic. It was conducted for 1 Month 14 Days from October to November 2016. Data analyzed by (Electronic Lenght Frequencys Assesment Tool) ELEFAN I method by using (FAO-ICLARM Fish Stock Assesment Tool) on FiSAT II software. Shells obtained 855 individual. The growth pattern of shells is negative allometric. The range of condition factor was 0.81 – 2.15. The frequency distribution of the A. gubernaculum ranges from 14 to 43 mm, the dominant size group was 20 - 22 mm. The prediction of growth parameter Von Bertalanfy showed that the asimptot length (L∞) is 43.05 mm, the growth coefficient (K) is 1.2/year and the theoretical life (t0) of the A. gubernaculum is -0.12. The total Mortality (Z) of Anadara gubernaculum was 2.121/year. Natural mortality estimation rate (M) was 1.9/year. The exploitation rate of Anadara gubernaculum is 0.1/year.

Parasites still become the major problem in ornamental fish as the fast grown of its trading in Indonesia. Parasites causes diseases in ornamental fish hence followed by death and reducing its appearence. In this study, the prevalence of parasites in 100 apparently healthy ornamental fishes namely Guppy (Poecilia reticulate) and Goldfish (Carrasius auratus) were determined. The method of this research used was survey in local fish market in Medan from March to May 2017 The aim of this study was to determine the parasite that infects aquarium fishes and find out its prevalence. For this purpose, ornamental fishes were examined for parasites from their skin, fin, gill and intestine using wet mount method under a light microscope. The survey result showed that parasites that infect Guppy and Goldfish were Monogenea (Dactylogyrus sp and Gyrodactylus sp) in their skin and gill, Protozoa (piscinodinium sp) in their gill and Nematoda (Capillaria sp) in abdominal cavity. Prevalence rate of parasites that attack Guppy in Medan is Dactylogyrus sp (8%), Gyrodactylus sp (14 %), Piscinodinium sp (6%) and Capillaria sp (8%). Then, prevalence rate of Capilaria sp that attack Goldfish is 4%. The conclusion of this work revealed that the prevalence rate of ectoparasite and endoparasites in ornamental fishes in Medan had the low rate as well as there was no pathological findings is observed. However, these parasites could be a harmful parasitic diseases in case there is the changes in aquarium environment and improper fish handling.

Yellowstripe scad included the one of commodity that has an important economic value in the Malacca Strait. Fish were found mostly in Indonesian of waters made this fish as one of the main target catch. But, it can had negative impact on the population of the fish. The study is done at Belawan Waters on March until May 2017 that which is purposed to study about the frequency distribution of length, determine the parameters of growth and, determine mortality rate and the rate of exploitation in order to provide appropriate management model for the fish resource. Yellowstripe scad was observed around 360 samples with the length range between 110 - 175 mm. The fish separated by bhattacarya method used the aid software FISAT II. A pattern of growth Yellowstripe scad alometrik negative with growth coefisien (K) 1.1 with length asimtotic (L∞) 181.65. The rate of mortality total ( Z) yellowstripe scad 4.34 per year at the rate of mortality natural ( M ) 1.204 per year and rate mortality by fishing (F) 3.136 per year in order to obtain the rate of exploitation 0.722. The value of this exploitation rate has exceeded the value of the optimum exploitation of 0.5.
