Wucai (Brassica campestris L. ssp. chinensis var. rosularis Tsen) is a subspecies of Brassica campestris, is a kind of cold-tolerant vegetable widely cultivated in the Yangtze-Huai River Basin of China. To breed new varieties of resistance to stress, it is necessary to study the tolerance of Resistance to different stresses. Transcriptomic data showed that exogenous application of 2, 4-epbrassinolide (EBR) significantly increased the bHLH genes expression in wucai at low temperature, and bHLH57 was up regulated significantly. BHLH (Basic helix-loop-helix) TFs (transcription factor) is a superfamily of TFs with complex functions and related to various plant life activities. In this study, a total of 239 bHLH genes were identified, and their amino acid physicochemical properties, chromosome location, gene structure, phylogeny and cis-acting elements were analyzed by bioinformatics. Phylogenetic analysis showed that bHLH gene families in Brassica rapa and Arabidopsis were divided into six groups, and the distribution of bHLH genes in Brassica rapa was uneven. The BrbHLHs were irregularly mapped in the cultivated B. rapa genome. The maximum number (40) of BrbHLH genes were mapped on Chr09. In addition, there were tandem repeats in some genes. The collinearity analysis showed that 152 AtbHLH genes and 239 BrbHLH protein genes formed 296 collinearity pairs, and the Ka/Ks ratio ofall duplicated BrbHLH gene pairs had a Ka/Ks ratio of bHLH family genes in Brassica rapa had more responsive elements related to light, hormone and abiotic stress. The BcbHLH57 overexpressing Arabidopsis thaliana lines were subjected to different stress treatments, and the seed germination rate, root growth, survival rate and various plant physiological indexes were determined. The results showed that the transgenic lines were more tolerant to salt, heat and drought stress. In this study, the response of BcbHLH57 gene to salt, heat and drought stress was reported for the first time, which provided a basis for further research on the function of BcbHLH57 in abiotic stress.

Background: Spraying indoleacetic acid (IAA) on the buds of Wucai (Brassica campestris L.) can increase the incidence of isolated microspore embryogenesis, but the mechanism of increasing microspore development remains unclear. Results: The statistics of isolated microspore embryogenesis showed that spraying100 mg. L-1 IAA (purity 99%) to the bud was the optimal concentration for inducing isolated microspore embryogenesis in B. campestris L. Microscopic observation showed that IAA treatment accelerated the development process of microspores. In addition, the contents of amino acids, soluble total sugar, protein, and starch were significantly increased, and the dynamic balance between hormones was changed due to the change of endogenous hormone content. To explore the molecular mechanism of IAA affecting microspore embryogenesis, the mononuclear flower buds which were treated with IAA for 24h were selected and the mononuclear flower buds which were treated with the same dose of water at the same period were used as the control for transcriptome analysis. It was found that more DEGs was enriched in plant hormone synthesis and signal transduction pathways, pentose and glucuronic acid exchange pathway, and oxidative phosphorylation pathway, and most of them showed upregulation. These changes of DEGs broke the balance between endogenous plant hormones, initiated the generation of microspore embryos, accelerated the metabolism of the cell wall and the development of microspores. Conclusions: This study helped to clarify the mechanism of microspore embryogenesis by IAA spring and provided a basis for further research on the molecular mechanisms of microspore development and the selection of key genes.

In recent years, countries around the world are significantly increasing their awareness of environmental protection. With a continuous expansion of economic scale, many emerging markets are also sustainably enhancing their standards for industrial carbon emissions in foreign direct investment (FDI). Therefore, the impact of FDI on the host country's industrial carbon emissions has always been a hot topic of researches by scholars. This paper selects panel data of 30 medium and large cities in China from 2006 to 2019, combined with dynamic panel GMM estimation and panel threshold model, and empirically analyzes the impact factors of FDI on the host country’s industrial carbon emissions from the perspective of dual environmental management systems. This paper draws the following conclusions: When taking the formal and informal environmental management system factors as threshold variables into the empirical research process, only the FDI in Beijing, Tianjin, and Shanghai shows a certain inhibitory effect on Chinese industrial carbon emissions. The FDI in other cities increases the scale of industrial carbon emissions. At the same time, in the formal environmental management system, FDI has no significant impact on Chinese industrial carbon emissions. It indicates that the formal environmental management system of each city is not effective in policy formulation or implementation, and it is not able to play the role of innovative compensation and forced emission reduction of the environmental management system. With the exception of Beijing and Shanghai, informal environmental management systems in other cities help curb the scale of industrial carbon emissions brought about by FDI.

Late embryogenesis abundant (LEA) proteins are important developmental proteins in the response of plants to abiotic stress. In our previous study, BcLEA73 was differentially expressed under low-temperature stress. Herein, we combined bioinformatics analysis, subcellular localization, expression assays, and stress experiments (including salt, drought, and osmotic stress) to identify and analyze the BcLEA gene family. Gene cloning and functional analysis of BcLEA73 were performed in tobacco and Arabidopsis. Based on the sequence homology and the available conservative motif, 82 BrLEA gene family members were identified and were divided into eight subfamilies in the genome-wide database of Chinese cabbage. The analysis showed that the BrLEA73 gene was located on chromosome A09 and belonged to the LEA_6 subfamily. Quantitative real-time PCR analysis indicated that the BcLEA genes were differentially expressed to varying degrees in the roots, stems, leaves, and petioles of Wucai. The overexpressed BcLEA73 transgenic plants exhibited no significant differences in root length and seed germination rates compared to the wild-type (WT) plants under control conditions. Under salt and osmotic stress treatment, the root length and seed germination rates of the BcLEA73-OE strain were significantly greater than those of WT plants. Under salt stress, the total antioxidant capacity (T-AOC) of the BcLEA73-OE lines increased significantly, and the relative conductivity, (REL), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) content, and superoxide anion (O2−) production rate decreased significantly. Under drought treatment, the survival rate of the BcLEA73-OE lines was significantly higher than that of WT plants. These results showed that the BcLEA73 gene of Wucai functions in enhancing the tolerance of plants to salt, drought, and osmotic stress. This study provides a theoretical basis to explore the relevant functions of the BcLEA gene family members of Wucai.

In plants, the accumulation of carotenoids can maintain the balance of the photosystem and improve crop nutritional quality. Therefore, the molecular mechanisms underlying carotenoid synthesis and accumulation should be further explored. In this study, carotenoid accumulation differed significantly among parental Brassica rapa. Genetic analysis was carried out using the golden inner leaf ‘1900264′ line and the light−yellow inner leaf ‘1900262′ line, showing that the golden inner leaf phenotype was controlled by a single dominant gene. Using bulked−segregant analysis sequencing, BraA09g007080.3C encoding the ORANGE protein was selected as a candidate gene. Sequence alignment revealed that a 4.67 kb long terminal repeat insertion in the third exon of the BrGOLDEN resulted in three alternatively spliced transcripts. The spatiotemporal expression results indicated that BrGOLDEN might regulate the expression levels of carotenoid−synthesis−related genes. After transforming BrGOLDEN into Arabidopsis thaliana, the seed−derived callus showed that BrGOLDENIns and BrGOLDENDel lines presented a yellow color and the BrGOLDENLdel line presented a transparent phenotype. In addition, using the yeast two−hybrid assay, BrGOLDENIns, BrGOLDENLdel, and Brgoldenwt exhibited strong interactions with BrPSY1, but BrGOLDENDel did not interact with BrPSY1 in the split−ubiquitin membrane system. In the secondary and 3D structure analysis, BrGOLDENDel was shown to have lost the PNFPSFIPFLPPL sequences at the 125 amino acid position, which resulted in the α−helices of BrGOLDENDel being disrupted, restricting the formation of the 3D structure and affecting the functions of the protein. These findings may provide new insights into the regulation of carotenoid synthesis in B. rapa.

Background: As human beings enter the digital age, the impact of the digital economy on environmental regulation and corporate green technology innovation (CGTI) is expanding. In order to effectively strengthen the efficacy of environmental regulation and improve the green technology innovation ability of corporate, this paper conducts in-depth research on the influence process of the digital economy and environmental regulation on the CGTI. Methods: Based on the mediating variable environmental regulation, this paper explores the influence process of the digital economy on CGTI. Combined with empirical analysis methods such as the fixed-effect model, mediating effect model, spatial model and regression analysis, the authors reveal the influence process of the digital economy on CGTI. Results: The digital economy can directly promote the improvement of the green technology innovation level of CGTI. The digital economy can indirectly affect the CGTI through the mediating variable of environmental regulation, marginal effect and spatial spillover effect. Conclusions: The digital economy and CGTI had a significant spatial correlation among different regions in China. In different regions of China, there are significant differences in the relationship between the digital economy, environmental regulation and CGTI.

Introduction Laser-assisted hatching (LAH) is a commonly used adjunct technique; however, its effectiveness has not been fully established. Objective We evaluated the effects of LAH on pregnancy outcomes in frozen-thawed embryo transfer (FET) cycles of cleavage-stage embryos. Materials and methods This retrospective study involved 5779 FET cycles performed at the Reproductive and Genetic Center in the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine between January 2016 and December 2020. After propensity score matching, 3535 FET cycles were included, out of which 1238 were subjected to LAH while the remaining 2297 cycles were non-LAH (NLAH). The primary outcomes were clinical pregnancy rate (CPR) and live birth rate (LBR) while secondary outcomes included implantation rate (IR), biochemical pregnancy rate (BPR), ectopic pregnancy rate (EPR), pregnancy loss rate (PLR), multiple pregnancy rate (MPL), and monozygotic twinning rate (MTR). Logistic regression analysis was conducted to adjust for possible confounders. Subgroup analysis was also performed based on the endometrial preparation regimen. Results The LAH group exhibited a higher LBR, compared to the NLAH group (34.9% vs. 31.4%, OR = 1.185, 95% CI = 1.023, 1.374, P = 0.024). Additionally, the LAH group showed a decreasing trend in PLR and EPR; however, differences were insignificant (P = 0.078, P = 0.063 respectively). Differences in IR (24.6% vs. 24.3%), BPR (41.8% vs. 40.4%), CPR (40.7% vs. 38.3%), MPR (14.1% vs. 17.3%), and MTR (1.4% vs. 1.1%) were insignificant. Subgroup analysis revealed that LAH may be more conducive for pregnancy outcomes in hormone replacement cycles. Conclusions In summary, LAH has an increased chance of achieving live births. However, further prospective studies should be performed to confirm our findings.

In order to promote the coordinated development of social and economic development and the natural environment, high-end equipment manufacturing (HEM) enterprises should promote the sustainable development of the green economy. In this process, HEM enterprises need to strengthen the green technology innovation ability and optimize the energy consumption structure. In this way, it will be beneficial to the sustainable improvement of HEM enterprise performance. On the basis of sorting out relevant research literature, this study uses structural equation modeling and hierarchical regression analysis to systematically study the impact of green technology innovation on the continuous improvement of HEM enterprise performance. Currently, there are many difficulties in the research of this paper, such as variable selection, index measurement, empirical testing process and so on. However, based on the success of previous academic research, this paper overcame the difficulties and completed this research. In this study, the energy consumption structure is an intermediary variable, and the government policy support is a moderator variable. A relationship model of the impact of green technology innovation on the continuous improvement of HEM enterprises’ performance is constructed. In addition, the author conducts a confirmatory analysis of the relationship between multiple variables. The conclusions of this study are as follows: (1) Green technology innovation has a significant positive impact on the performance improvement of HEM enterprises. (2) Energy consumption structure plays a partial mediating role between green technology innovation and enterprise performance improvement. (3) Government policy support regulates the relationship between green technology innovation and HEM enterprise performance improvement. That is to say that the stronger the government’s policy support for green technology innovation, the stronger the green technology innovation impetus of HEM enterprises, and the better the effect of HEM enterprise performance improvement.

Channeling between injectors and producers leads to bypassed oil left in the reservoir, which is one of most common reasons that wells in mature oil fields experience high water cut after long-term waterflooding. Identification and evaluation of the higher permeable channels (thief zones) are the key to effectively plug these thief zones and improve the conformance of water flood. This study applies three different methods to identify and evaluate the thief zones of a water injection project in North Buzazi Oilfield, a thick-bedded unconsolidated sandstone heavy oil reservoir in Manghestau, Kazakhstan. The thief zones, which evolve as a result of formation erosion and sand production, are identified and classified with respect to four different levels of significance using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, production/injection profile method and pressure index (PI) methods. Good consistency is observed among the identification results using these methods. Finally, we present two ways to quantitatively evaluate the characteristics of the thief zones using water–oil-ratio as the input, which can be readily applied for future field development design.

As the scale of China’s outward foreign direct investment (OFDI) continues to expand, more and more scholars have begun to discuss the influence of OFDI on enterprise technological innovation. In order to be able to deeply explore the impact of enterprises’ OFDI activities on enterprise technological innovation, this paper combines relevant enterprise data from 2015 to 2017 and uses the new method to test the “technological innovation effect” produced by the OFDI of Chinese enterprises. Finally, this paper concluded that the development of OFDI activities of enterprises can promote the improvement of the level of technological innovation of enterprises, and this promotion has a lag effect. R&D-type OFDI activities play a vital role in promoting the ability of technological innovation of enterprises. Compared with low-income host countries, investment in high-income host countries has a greater effect on promoting the ability of technological innovation of enterprises.

Objective To study the effect on QTc intervals in patients who are undergoing surgery and receive palonosetron combined with low-dose droperidol.Methods Our study included 60 patients who were undergoing laparoscopic surgery under hysteroscope. The patients were randomly assigned to two groups: those who received an i.v. injection of droperidol 1 mg (F group, n=30) and those who received palonosetron 0.075 mg and droperidol 1 mg (P+F group, n=30) at 5 min after tracheal intubation. Mean arterial pressure, heart rate, bispectral index (BIS) and QTc intervals were measured before (T0) and 5 (T1), 10 (T2), and 20 min (T3) after administration of droperidol or palonosetron plus droperidol. QTc intervals were measured and calculated according to the correction formulas. The severity of postoperative nausea and vomiting and the incidence of other adverse effects in patients at 24 h after surgery were recorded.Results At T1, the QTc intervals of F group and P+F group were significantly prolonged from the T0 values (P < 0.05); at T0~T3, there was no statistically significant difference in the comparison of the changes of heart rate, mean arterial pressure, BIS, and QTc intervals between the two groups (P > 0.05); the severity of nausea and vomiting at 24h postoperatively in the P+F group was lower than that in the F group (P < 0.05); there was no significant difference in the incidence of other postoperative adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion There was no significant difference in the QTc intervals during the perioperative period, whether 1 mg of droperidol or 1 mg of droperidol plus 0.075 mg of palonosetron is administered. And the severity of postoperative nausea and vomiting in patients who received palonosetron combined with low-dose droperidol was lower than those who received droperidol.Trial Registration Chinese clinical trial registry, ChiCTR2000029678, 09/02/2020

The boundary-layer low-level jet (LLJ) is a widespread wind phenomenon that can strongly affect urban heat islands (UHIs). However, the influence of LLJ on the three-dimensional structure of UHI remains poorly understood. Thus, in this study, we focused on the impacts of boundary-layer LLJs on the horizontal distribution, vertical development, and three-dimensional structure of UHIs. Observational data for the surface values of meteorological parameters were collected from 376 automatic weather stations (AWSs) in Beijing and its surrounding areas. Vertical profiles of the atmospheric boundary layer were also obtained from a field sounding campaign conducted in Beijing from August 28 to September 2, 2016. In addition, we also performed three-dimensional model simulations using the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model to capture the change of meteorological parameters. The conclusions achieved in the present study are as follows:(1) When a LLJ occurs in Beijing, the Richardson number Ri was found to be smaller than 0.25 at all these urban and suburban stations. As Ri represents the stability of the whole atmosphere, it can indicate the influence of upper winds on the horizontal distribution of the canopy UHI. When Ri2. (2) It was also found that when a LLJ occurs, the vertical mixing above the urban area is enhanced, with a TKE up to 0.52 m2/s2 near the ground. This enhanced vertical mixing causes a decrease in the lapse rate of the temperature in the urban area. The lapse rate when LLJ presents (0.3°C/100m) is less than half of that when LLJ is absent (0.7°C/100m). Under this condition, the height of the heat island also elevates up to approximately 200m. (3) We found that the LLJ is capable of increasing the temperature of the downwind urban area by a maximum of 8.5°C/h through the warm advection. The temperature advection in the upper air caused by LLJ also tilted the three-dimensional structure of UHI. As a result, the heat island behaves as a plume under the influence of LLJ.

Combining the theories of cross-border e-commerce trade, industrial cluster management, coordinated development, and sustainable development, this paper explores the problem of the coordinated development path of China’s cross-border e-commerce trade and industrial clusters. The research purpose of this paper is to propose relevant suggestions to promote the sustainable coordinated development of cross-border e-commerce trade and industrial clusters by revealing the inherent scientific laws of the sustainable coordinated development of them. By using a literature survey method, structural equation method, and system analysis method, on the basis of constructing a model for the coordinated development of cross-border e-commerce trade and industrial clusters, this paper conducts in-depth empirical analysis combined with relevant research data and draws research conclusions. The research conclusions of this paper are as follows: (1) This paper verifies all the research hypotheses proposed. All the research hypotheses proposed in this paper are supported by valid data and have passed the empirical test. (2) Using data to scientifically prove that there is an obvious positive correlation between cross-border e-commerce trade and industrial clusters. (3) There is an obvious positive interaction between the main components of cross-border e-commerce trade and the main components of industrial clusters. Moreover, under the influence of the external environment, the two component systems can also promote the sustainable coordinated development of cross-border e-commerce trade and the sustainability of industrial clusters. (4) This paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to promote the sustainable coordinated development of cross-border e-commerce trade and industrial clusters.

Wucai (Brassica campestris L.) is a leafy vegetable that originated in China, its soluble sugars accumulate significantly to improve taste quality during maturation, and it is widely accepted by consumers. In this study, we investigated the soluble sugar content at different developmental stages. Two periods including 34 days after planting (DAP) and 46 DAP, which represent the period prior to and after sugar accumulation, respectively, were selected for metabolomic and transcriptomic profiling. Differentially accumulated metabolites (DAMs) were mainly enriched in the pentose phosphate pathway, galactose metabolism, glycolysis/gluconeogenesis, starch and sucrose metabolism, and fructose and mannose metabolism. By orthogonal projection to latent structures-discriminant s-plot (OPLS-DA S-plot) and MetaboAnalyst analyses, D-galactose and β-D-glucose were identified as the major components of sugar accumulation in wucai. Combined with the transcriptome, the pathway of sugar accumulation and the interact network between 26 DEGs and the two sugars were mapped. CWINV4, CEL1, BGLU16, and BraA03g023380.3C had positive correlations with the accumulation of sugar accumulation in wucai. The lower expression of BraA06g003260.3C, BraA08g002960.3C, BraA05g019040.3C, and BraA05g027230.3C promoted sugar accumulation during the ripening of wucai. These findings provide insights into the mechanisms underlying sugar accumulation during commodity maturity, providing a basis for the breeding of sugar-rich wucai cultivars.

High-performance aqueous zinc batteries are expected to be realized, rooting from component synergistic effects of the hierarchical composite electrode materials. Herein, hierarchical crystalline Ni–Co phosphide coated with amorphous phosphate nanoarrays (C-NiCoP@A-NiCoPO4) self-supporting on the Ni foam are constructed as cathode material of an aqueous zinc battery. In this unique core–shell structure, the hexagonal phosphide with high conductivity offers ultra-fast electronic transmission and amorphous phosphate with high stability, and open-framework provides more favorable ion diffusivity and a stable protective barrier. The synergistic effects of this intriguing core–shell structure endow the electrode material with outstanding reaction kinetics and structural stability, which is theoretically confirmed by density functional theory (DFT) calculations. As a result, the C-NiCoP@A-NiCoPO4 electrode exhibits a higher specific capacity of 350.6 mA h g−1 and excellent cyclic stability with 92.6% retention after 10 000 cycles. Moreover, the C-NiCoP@A-NiCoPO4 is coupled with Zn anode to assemble an aqueous pouch battery that delivers ultra-high energy density (626.33 W h kg−1 at 1.72 kW kg−1) with extraordinary rate performance (452.05 W h kg−1 at 33.56 kW kg−1). Moreover, the corresponding quasi-solid flexible battery with polyacrylamide hydrogel electrolyte exhibits favorable durability under frequent mechanical strains, which indicates the great promise of crystalline/amorphous hierarchical electrodes in the field of energy storage.

High-performance energy storage systems are becoming essential to cope with the possible energy crisis in the future. Herein, unique hierarchical B-Co4N have been reasonably designed and synthesized on Ni foam (NF) via a typical chemical reduction strategy. The successful realization of B-doping engineering effectively facilitates ion and electron transport, adding the electrochemically reactive sites, which endow the B-Co4N-20/NF electrode with high specific capacity (817.9 C g-1 at 1 A g-1), excellent rate capability (maintained about 90.9% at 10 A g-1) and cycling stability (about 93.06% retention of the initial capacity after 5000 cycles). The corresponding hybrid supercapacitor assembled with B-Co4N-20/NF electrodes has an energy density of 25.85 W h kg-1 at the power density of 800.2 W kg-1 and a long cycle life (98.59% retention ratio after 5000 cycles). These remarkable properties indicate that the doping of heteroatom and the construction of hierarchical structure will provide a favorable reference for the performance promotion of next-generation energy storage devices.
