Commercially pure titanium (Ti CP) and two titanium alloys (Ti 64 and Ti10-2-3) representative of different metallurgical classes were exposed to pressurized water at 300 °C, 15 MPa in a dedicated stainless steel corrosion loop up to 1632 h. Mass uptake measurements as well as extensive characterization of the oxides formed on the polished samples using scanning and transmission electron microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, photoelectrochemistry and glow discharge optical emission spectroscopy led to the following main conclusions: • The oxide scale was made of a thin and continuous TiO2 layer topped by small TiO2 anatase crystallites and large FeTiO3 ilmenite crystallites. • The interface tortuosity increased with exposure duration, as well as the amount of crystallites. From 217 h exposure, the thickness of the thin continuous TiO2 layer remained constant with exposure duration. • The mass uptake increased approximately linearly with exposure duration. These observations were consistent with a corrosion mechanism involving simultaneous oxide growth, dissolution and precipitation. The corrosion rate of the three studied materials was estimated to be around 3 µm/year.

The present research takes issue with the supposed dichotomy between alternations on the onehand and surface generalisations on the other, within the framework of construction grammar.More specifically the aim of this thesis is threefold. Through the careful analysis of a largedataset, we aim to provide a thorough description of the causative alternation in English (Thefabric stretched vs. Joan stretched the fabric), suggest a method that allows for a solid measure ofa verb’s alternation strength and of the amount of shared meaning between two constructions,and finally, show that in order to capture constraints at the level of the construction, one mustpay attention to lower level generalisations such as the interaction between verb and argumentswithin the scope of each construction.In an effort to add to the discussion on alternation vs. surface generalisations, we propose adetailed study of the two constructions that make up the causative alternation: the intransitivenon-transitive causative construction and the transitive causative construction. Our goal is tomeasure the amount of meaning shared by the two constructions and also show the differencesbetween the two. In order to do so we take three elements into account: construction, verband theme (i.e. the entity that undergoes the event denoted by the verb). We use distributionalsemantics to measure the semantic similarity of the various themes found with each verb andeach construction in our corpus. This grouping highlights the different verb senses used witheach construction and allows us to draw generalisations as to the constraints on the theme ineach construction.; La présente recherche s’interroge sur la présumée dichotomie entre les alternances et les généralisations de surface dans le cadre théorique de la grammaire de constructions. Plus précisément,l’objectif de cette thèse est ternaire. Par l’analyse attentive d’une grande quantité de données, nous faisons une description détaillée de l’alternance causative en anglais (The fabric stretched vs. Joan stretched the fabric), nous proposons une méthode qui permet de mesurer la force d’alternance des verbes ainsi que la quantité de sens partagée entre les deux constructions, et, enfin, nous montrons que si l’on veut rendre compte des contraintes au niveau de la construction, l’on doit alors prendre en compte les généralisations de plus bas niveau, telles que les interactions entre le verbe et ses arguments dans le cadre de chaque construction. Afin d’ajouter au débat entre alternance et généralisations de surface, nous proposons une analyse détaillée des deux constructions qui forment l’alternance causative en anglais : la construction intransitive non-causative d’une part et la construction transitive causative de l’autre.Notre but est de mesurer la quantité de sens partagée par les deux constructions mais aussi démontrer en quoi ces deux constructions diffèrent. Dans cette optique, nous prenons en compte trois éléments: construction, verbe et thème (i.e. l’entité sujette à l’évènement dénoté par le verbe). Nous utilisons la sémantique distributionnelle pour la mesure des similarités sémantiques entre les divers thèmes employés avec chaque verbe dans chaque construction dans notre corpus.Ce groupement sémantique met en lumière les différents sens verbaux employés avec chaque construction et nous permet d’établir des généralisations quant aux contraintes qui s’appliquent au thème dans chaque construction.

International audience; In this work, tetrakis(dimethylamino)titanium precursor as well as in-situ oxidized ruthenium bottom electrode were used to grow rutile-structured titanium dioxide thin layers by plasma enhanced atomic layer deposition. Metal–insulator–metal capacitors have been elaborated in order to study the electrical properties of the device. It is shown that this process leads to devices exhibiting excellent results in terms of dielectric constant and leakage current.

This chapter focuses on two emerging nanotechnologies developed to fabricate, organize and integrate nanomaterials (nanodots, nanowires) in nanoelectronics devices. The first one uses the natural properties of diblock copolymers to create (i) a hexagonal lattice array of vertical PMMA cylinders in a polystyrene (PS) matrix, or (ii) an ordered array of horizontal PMMA cylinders in a PS matrix. These films are then used as deposition and/or etching masks to produce dense lattices of 20 nm diameter nanoparticles and nanowires with a density of around 1011 cm-2. The chapter presents examples of integration with an 8-inch wafer memory technology. The second technology is based on chemical vapor deposition (CVD) of basic nanomaterial building blocks for future microelectronics. The chapter focuses on CVD growth of silicon nanostructures using a fully compatible CMOS process. The resulting nano-objects are integrated in test devices and measured electrically.

Ce mémoire porte sur la mise en place d’un conseil de coopération au sein d’une classe vaudoise de 3H et de l’influence de celle-ci sur la dimension relationnelle du climat de classe. Plus particulièrement, ce travail explore la manière dont les conflits peuvent être gérés à travers ce dispositif de pédagogie coopérative et par conséquent contribuer à un meilleur climat de classe. Des outils tels que le message clair, le journal mural et la demande de réparation ont été introduits progressivement auprès des élèves. Pour répondre à la question de recherche, la méthodologie qualitative a été choisie. Elle est constituée d’observations pendant le déroulement des conseils de coopération, d’entretiens réalisés auprès des élèves ainsi que d’un entretien formel avec la praticienne formatrice. Les données récoltées et leur analyse ont permis d’établir des liens entre la mise en place du conseil de coopération et la dimension relationnelle du climat de classe. Avec l’outil message clair, les élèves ont débuté un apprentissage afin de traiter les conflits de manière plus autonome. Cela leur a également permis de mettre des mots sur leur ressenti. Du point de vue du corps enseignant, il a été constaté que l’implémentation du dispositif conseil de coopération ainsi que ses outils ont participé à réduire la gestion des conflits par l’enseignante. Enfin, cela a favorisé les échanges interpersonnels et initié des apprentissages du mieux vivre ensemble.
