Abstract In this paper, a scalarization result of ε-weak efficient solution for a vector equilibrium problem (VEP) is given. Using this scalarization result, the connectedness of ε-weak efficient and ε-efficient solutions sets for the VEPs are proved under some suitable conditions in real Hausdorff topological vector spaces. The main results presented in this paper improve and generalize some known results in the literature.

Abstract We consider the weakly efficient solution for a class of nonconvex and nonsmooth vector optimization problems in Banach spaces. We show the equivalence between the nonconvex and nonsmooth vector optimization problem and the vector variational-like inequality involving set-valued mappings. We prove some existence results concerned with the weakly efficient solution for the nonconvex and nonsmooth vector optimization problems by using the equivalence and Fan-KKM theorem under some suitable conditions.

In this paper, we propose a novel Semi-supervised Learning with Incomplete Modality (SLIM) method considering the modal consistency and complementarity simultaneously, and Kernel SLIM (SLIM-K) based on matrix completion for further solving the modal incompleteness. As is well known, most realistic data have multi-modal representations, multi-modal learning refers to the process of learning a precise model for complete modalities. However, due to the failures of data collection, self-deficiencies, or other various reasons, multi-modal examples are usually with incomplete modalities, which generate utility obstacle using previous methods. In this paper, SLIM integrates the intrinsic consistency and extrinsic complementary information for prediction and cluster simultaneously. In detail, SLIM forms different modal classifiers and clustering learner consistently in a unified framework, while using the extrinsic complementary information from unlabeled data against the insufficiencies brought by the incomplete modal issue. Moreover, in order to deal with missing modality in essence, we propose the SLIM-K, which takes the complemented kernel matrix into the classifiers and the cluster learner respectively. Thus, SLIM-K can solve the defects of missing modality in result. Finally, we give the discussion of generalization of incomplete modalities. Experiments on 13 benchmark multi-modal datasets and two real-world incomplete multi-modal datasets validate the effectiveness of our methods. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Using the mixed‐ligand method, a novel coordination polymer containing Co(II) of [Co(ditb)(tdc)]n·5nH2O (1) was prepared by reacting rigid 2,5‐thiophenedicarboxylic acid with flexible 1,4‐di(1H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐1‐yl)butane using the slow evaporation method. Active samples of 1 (1a for short) showed good stability and the ability to capture CO2. It can be used as a potential heterogeneous catalyst for chemical immobilization of epoxide and CO2 to form cyclic carbonates. In addition, catalyst 1a retained its original structure after four times of reuse. Its biological properties were assessed against Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M.TB) both in vivo and in vitro. First, the bactericidal ability of the compound against M.TB was measured by a sterilization curve. Then, the expression of pckA gene related to M.TB survival was detected using reverse transcription‐polymerase chain reaction. For the in vivo study, the colony‐forming unit determination was performed for evaluating the anti‐bacterial effect of the compound, and the enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay was used for the inflammatory cytokine measurement in vivo. Background: The pathogenic mechanism of antituberculous drug‐induced liver injury (ATDILI) is associated with antioxidant enzymes. The objective of the present study was to investigate the associations of ATDILI susceptibility with genetic polymorphisms of antioxidant enzyme genes including nitric oxide synthase 2 (NOS2), thioredoxin reductase 1 (TXNRD1), superoxide dismutase 2 (SOD2), BTB domain and CNC homolog 1 (BACH1), and MAF bZIP transcription factor K (MAFK). Methods: Thirty tag single nucleotide polymorphisms (tag‐SNPs) from the all candidate genes were genotyped in a 2‐stage cohort study including an initial discovery stage with 461 ATDILI patients and 466 controls and a replication stage with 216 ATDILI patients and 432 controls. The frequencies and distributions of genotypes and haplotypes were compared between the case and control groups. Three different genetic models including dominant, recessive, and additive models were used to determine the associations with susceptibility to ATDILI. Results: The SNPs rs9906835, rs944725, and rs3794764 of the NOS2 gene were significantly associated with an increased risk of ATDILI. The MAFK rs3735656 SNP was significantly associated with a decreased risk for ATDILI. The AAA haplotype of the NOS2 gene was associated with susceptibility to ATDILI. The treatment outcomes of patients with tuberculosis were further affected by genetic variants of the NOS2 and MAFK genes. Conclusions: Genetic polymorphisms of NOS2 and MAFK are associated with ATDILI susceptibility in Chinese patients with tuberculosis. The variants in NOS2 and MAFK affect treatment outcomes of tuberculosis patients. Further studies are needed to better understand the molecular mechanisms of ATDILI susceptibility via regulation of the expression of ATDILI‐susceptibility genes and proteins. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Previous studies in other provinces of China (Beijing, Xinjiang, Shanxi, Jiangxi, Shanghai, Guangdong, and Taiwan) suggest that the distributions of lymphoma subtypes differ compared with Western populations. In order to evaluate the characteristics of malignant lymphoma in Sichuan, China, we analyzed case series data from incident lymphoma patients diagnosed in 2008 from three hospitals, including a total of 1629 cases and including only current residents of Sichuan. The median age of diagnosis for cases was 54 years, with a higher proportion of male cases compared with female cases. The most commonly diagnosed subtypes included diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (40.4%), NK/T-cell lymphoma (NKTCL; 11.8%), mixed cellularity Hodgkin lymphoma (7.0%), mantle cell lymphoma (4.8%), and marginal zone B-cell lymphoma (3.9%). Differences in demographic characteristics between Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) and non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) cases were apparent for median age at diagnosis (HL: 34 years; NHL: 57 years), and NHLs accounted for nearly all (99.3%) of the 931 cases of extranodal lymphoma. These findings indicate a higher proportion of NKTCL cases and a lower proportion of follicular lymphoma cases (2.3%) in these hospitals in Sichuan, relative to reports from some other provinces within China (e.g., Shanghai and Shanxi) and the USA.
