Purpose: To investigate the correlation between the contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM) imaging characteristics and different molecular subtypes of breast cancer (BC). Methods: We retrospectively included 313 eligible female patients who underwent CEM examination and surgery in our hospital from July 2017 to July 2021. Their lesions were confirmed on histopathological examination and immunohistochemical analysis. BC was divided into luminal A, luminal B, HER2-enriched, and triple-negative BC (TNBC) subtypes according to immunohistochemical markers. Nine features were extracted from CEM images, including tumor shape, margins, spiculated mass, lobulated mass, malignant calcification, lesion conspicuity, internal enhancement pattern, multifocal mass, and swollen axillary lymph nodes. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 25.0. Univariate analysis and binomial regression were used to analyze the correlation between CEM imaging features and BC molecular subtypes. Results: There were 184 (58.8 %) Luminal A, 44 (14.1 %) Luminal B, 47 (15.0 %) HER-2-enriched and 38 (12.1 %) TNBC, respectively. Background: Liraglutide is an acylated glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) analog, and its pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties as a GLP-1 receptor (GLP-1R) agonist make it an important therapeutic option for many patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This study compared the bioequivalence and safety of liraglutide with the originator product in healthy Chinese adult subjects.Methods: Subjects (N = 36, both sexes) were randomized in a 1:1 ratio into two groups (18 cases each) for a two-cycle, self-crossover trial. Each cycle involved a single subcutaneous injection of the test and reference drugs, with a washout period of 14 days. The plasma drug concentration was quantified by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). The main pharmacokinetic parameters were statistically analyzed to assess drug bioequivalence. Furthermore, the safety of the drugs was assessed throughout the trial.Results: The geometric mean ratios of Cmax, AUC0-t, and AUC0-∞ were 103.73%, 103.01%, and 103.03%, respectively, and their 90% confidence intervals (CIs) were consistent with the range of 80.00%–125.00%, indicating that the two formulations had similar pharmacokinetics. Meanwhile, safety results showed that both drugs were well tolerated.Conclusion: Studies have shown that the test drug has similar bioequivalence and safety to the reference drug.Clinical trial registration: (http://www.chinadrugtrials.org.cn/index.html), identifier (CTR20171303).

ABSTRACT Bone homeostasis, the equilibrium between bone resorption and formation, is essential for maintaining healthy bone tissue in adult humans. Disruptions of this process can lead to pathological conditions such as osteoporosis. Dual‐targeted agents, capable of inhibiting excessive bone resorption and stimulating bone formation, are being explored as a promising strategy for developing new treatments to address osteoporosis. In this study, we investigated the effects of P7C3 on bone remodeling and its potential therapeutic role in osteoporosis treatment in mice. Specifically, P7C3 can remarkably suppress receptor activator of nuclear factor‐κB (NF‐κB) ligand (RANKL)‐induced osteoclast differentiation in bone marrow macrophages via the Akt‐NF‐κB‐NFATc1 signaling pathway. Additionally, RNA sequencing (RNAseq) analysis revealed that P7C3 promoted osteoblast differentiation and function through the Wnt/β‐catenin signaling pathway, thereby enhancing bone formation. Furthermore, μCT analysis and histological examination of bone tissues from P7C3‐treated mice showed attenuation of both Ti‐induced bone erosion and ovariectomy (OVX)‐induced bone loss. These findings suggest that P7C3 may have a novel function in bone remodeling and may be a promising therapeutic agent for the treatment of osteoporosis. © 2023 The Authors. Immune checkpoint inhibitors and antiangiogenic agents have shown some activity in patients with late-stage gastric cancer. Here the authors report the results of a phase II trial of neoadjuvant anti-PD1 (camrelizumab), antiangiogenic agent (apatinib), and chemotherapy (S-1 ± Oxaliplatin) in stage T4a/bN + M0 gastric cancer patients.

Opioids, such as morphine, are the most potent drugs used to treat pain. Long-term use results in high tolerance to morphine. High mobility group box-1 (HMGB1) has been shown to participate in neuropathic or inflammatory pain, but its role in morphine tolerance is unclear. In this study, we established rat and mouse models of morphine tolerance by intrathecal injection of morphine for 7 consecutive days. We found that morphine induced rat spinal cord neurons to release a large amount of HMGB1. HMGB1 regulated nuclear factor κB p65 phosphorylation and interleukin-1β production by increasing Toll-like receptor 4 receptor expression in microglia, thereby inducing morphine tolerance. Glycyrrhizin, an HMGB1 inhibitor, markedly attenuated chronic morphine tolerance in the mouse model. Finally, compound C (adenosine 5′-monophosphate-activated protein kinase inhibitor) and zinc protoporphyrin (heme oxygenase-1 inhibitor) alleviated the morphine-induced release of HMGB1 and reduced nuclear factor κB p65 phosphorylation and interleukin-1β production in a mouse model of morphine tolerance and an SH-SY5Y cell model of morphine tolerance, and alleviated morphine tolerance in the mouse model. These findings suggest that morphine induces HMGB1 release via the adenosine 5′-monophosphate-activated protein kinase/heme oxygenase-1 signaling pathway, and that inhibiting this signaling pathway can effectively reduce morphine tolerance.

Recently, it has been reported that a gene (PEN1) in Arabidopsis thaliana is highly resistant to Plutella xylostella. We screened all the homologous genes of PEN1 in Arabidopsis thaliana and found that the motif of these genes was very conserved. At present, few insect resistance genes have been identified and characterized in Brassica napus. Therefore, we screened all the homologous genes containing this motif in the Brassica napus genome and systematically analyzed the basic information, conserved domain, evolutionary relationship, chromosomal localization and expression analysis of these genes. In this study, 12 PEN1 homologous genes were identified in the Brassica napus genome, which is more than the number in Arabidopsis thaliana. These genes are unevenly distributed on the 12 chromosomes in Brassica napus. Furthermore, all the PEN1 homologous genes contained light responsiveness elements, and most of the genes contained gibberellin-responsive elements, meJA-responsive elements and abscisic-acid-responsive elements. The results will provide a theoretical basis for screening insect resistance genes from the genome of Brassica napus and analyzing the molecular mechanism of insect resistance in Brassica napus.

Aphids and Sclerotinia stem rot in oilseed rape are often studied in isolation, and their relationship is rarely explored. Our field studies have revealed a significant positive correlation between the number of aphids and the incidence of Sclerotinia stem rot. Hence, starting with the colonizing stages of the two pests, Breveroryne brassicae was assessed for its potential to acquire, transmit, and inoculate Sclerotinia sclerotiorum by being sprayed with an ascospore suspension. Moreover, distinctions in aphid feeding behavior were examined between aphids on inoculated/uninoculated winter and spring oilseed rape plants or aphids, both with and without S. sclerotiorum ascospores, using electropenetrography (EPG). The results showed that aphid feeding followed by dropping ascospore suspension significantly increased the incidence of S. sclerotiorum. Ascospores were able to adhere to aphids and were carried by aphids to healthy plants, causing disease. The results of the EPG analysis indicated that aphid feeding behavior was significantly altered in all leaf tissue levels following infection with S. sclerotiorum. Specifically, aphids initiated their first puncture significantly sooner, began probing mesophyll cells earlier, had a significantly shorter pathway duration, and secreted saliva more frequently but reduced salivation prior to feeding and ingestion compared to aphids feeding on uninfected oilseed rape. Additionally, the feeding behavior of aphids carrying ascospores was markedly different from that of aphids not carrying ascospores, implying that ascospores directly influence aphid feeding behavior but that this influence appeared to be beneficial only for S. sclerotiorum infection. Aphids carrying ascospores started to puncture cells more quickly, with a significant increase in the frequency and duration of short probes and cell punctures, shortened pathway durations, and reduced salivation before feeding compared to aphids not carrying ascospores. It is clear that there is an interaction between aphids and S. sclerotiorum. The impact of S. sclerotiorum on aphid feeding behavior is directional, favoring the spread of the fungus.

Abstract Prototypical models and their material incarnations are cornerstones to the understanding of quantum magnetism. Here we show theoretically that the recently synthesized magnetic compound Na2BaCo(PO4)2 (NBCP) is a rare, nearly ideal material realization of the S = 1/2 triangular-lattice antiferromagnet with significant easy-axis spin exchange anisotropy. By combining the automatic parameter searching and tensor-network simulations, we establish a microscopic model description of this material with realistic model parameters, which can not only fit well the experimental thermodynamic data but also reproduce the measured magnetization curves without further adjustment of parameters. According to the established model, the NBCP hosts a spin supersolid state that breaks both the lattice translation symmetry and the spin rotational symmetry. Such a state is a spin analog of the long-sought supersolid state, thought to exist in solid Helium and optical lattice systems, and share similar traits. The NBCP therefore represents an ideal material-based platform to explore the physics of supersolidity as well as its quantum and thermal melting.

Chinese spelling correction (CSC), which is designed to detect and correct typos in the text, is an important and challenging task that has attracted increasing attention. Current CSC models based on pre-trained language models (PLM) show powerful error correction capabilities, but cause the problem that many correct characters are incorrectly corrected. The problem of overcorrection is particularly serious in real-world application scenarios. To alleviate this situation, we propose a novel post-processing model: EDMSpell, which utilizes two discriminators to post-process the corrected results. Specifically, the final decision to adopt this correction is made by discriminating whether the original sentence and the corrected sentence are correct or not. To verify its effectiveness, we conduct comprehensive experiments and ablation tests. Experiments on the SIGHAN15 benchmarks show that EDMSpell can considerably lower the false-positive rate of the model, with an average reduction of 5.4 points, while also improving the error correction F1 metric by an average of 1.4 points on nine models.

Intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD) is the most common contributor to low back pain (LBP). Recent studies have found that oxidative stress and reactive oxygen species (ROS) play an important role in IVDD. As a by‐product of aerobic respiration, ROS is mainly produced in the mitochondria by the electron transport chain and other mitochondrial located proteins. With the excessive accumulation of ROS, mitochondria are also the primary target of ROS attack in disc cells. A disrupted balance between intracellular ROS production and antioxidant capacity will lead to oxidative stress, which is the key contributor to cell apoptosis, cell senescence, excessive autophagy, and mitochondrial dysfunction. As the pivotal ingredient of oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction manifests as imbalanced mitochondrial dynamics and dysregulated mitophagy. Mitochondria can alter their own dynamics through the process of fusion and fission, so that disabled mitochondria can be separated from the mitochondrial pool. Moreover, mitophagy participates by clearing these dysfunctional mitochondria. Abnormality in any of these processes either increases the production or decreases the clearance of ROS, leading to a vicious cycle that results in the death of intervertebral disc cells in large quantities, combined with degradation of the extracellular matrix and overproduction of matrix metalloproteinase. In this review, we explain the changes in mitochondrial morphology and function during oxidative stress‐mediated IVDD and highlight the important role of mitochondria in this process. Eventually, we summarize the IVDD therapeutic strategies targeting mitochondrial dysfunction based on current understanding of the role of oxidative stress in IVDD.

4-octyl itaconate (OI) attenuates chondrocyte apoptosis and ameliorates cartilage degradation and defection of autophagy induced by IL-1 β via the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway. OI improved the autophagy and reduced the inflammation of rat models of osteoarthritis.

To enhance the stability and light resistance of the yellow compounds in citrus pomace, our study successfully isolated and purified five compounds using ultrasonic-assisted extraction and column chromatography. The identified compounds include methyl linoleate, (2-ethyl)hexyl phthalate, 1,3-distearoyl-2-oleoylglycerol, 6,6-ditetradecyl-6,7-dihydroxazepin-2(3H)-one, and n-octadeca-17-enoic acid. The monomers extracted from fresh pomace, compounds 1 and 2, exhibit structural similarities to flavonoids and carotenoids. In contrast, the polymers isolated from fermented pomace, compounds 3, 4, and 5, share structural units with the fresh pomace compounds, indicating the transformation to stable polymeric forms. This suggests that the microbial fermentation process not only enhances the value of citrus pomace, but also provides a promising pathway for the synthesis of natural antioxidant yellow pigments with far-reaching theoretical and practical significance. Patients with single left ventricle (SLV) and tricuspid atresia (TA) have impaired systolic and diastolic function. However, there are few comparative studies among patients with SLV, TA and children without heart disease. The current study includes 15 children in each group. The parameters measured by two-dimensional echocardiography, three-dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography (3DSTE), and vortexes calculated by computational fluid dynamics were compared among these three groups. Twist is best correlated with ejection fraction measured by 3DSTE. Twist, torsion, apical rotation, average radial strain, peak velocity of systolic wave in left lateral wall by tissue Doppler imaging (sL), and myocardial performance index are better in the TA group than those in the SLV group. sL by tissue Doppler imaging in the TA group are even higher than those in the Control group. In patients with SLV, blood flow spreads out in a fan-shaped manner and forms two small vortices. In the TA group, the main vortex is similar to the one in a normal LV chamber, but smaller. The vortex rings during diastolic phase are incomplete in the SLV and TA groups. In summary, patients with SLV or TA have impaired systolic and diastolic function. Patients with SLV had poorer cardiac function than those with TA due to less compensation and more disordered streamline. Twist may be good indicator for LV function.

Abstract There have been an increasing number of patients with degenerative disc diseases due to the aging population. In light of this, studies on the pathogenesis of intervertebral disc degeneration have become a hot topic, and gene knockout mice have become a valuable tool in this field of research. With the development of science and technology, constitutive gene knockout mice can be constructed using homologous recombination, zinc finger nuclease, transcription activator‐like effector nuclease technology and clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats/Cas9 (CRISPR/Cas9) system, and conditional gene knockout mice can be constructed using the Cre/LoxP system. The gene‐edited mice using these techniques have been widely used in the studies on disc degeneration. This paper reviews the development process and principles of these technologies, functions of the edited genes in disc degeneration, advantages, and disadvantages of different methods and possible targets of the specific Cre recombinase in intervertebral discs. Recommendations for the choice of suitable gene‐edited model mice are presented. At the same time, possible technological improvements in the future are also discussed.

Abstract Background Papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is the most common type of thyroid cancer (TC), accounting for more than 80% of all cases. Ferroptosis is a novel iron-dependent and Reactive oxygen species (ROS) reliant type of cell death which is distinct from the apoptosis, necroptosis and pyroptosis. Considerable studies have demonstrated that ferroptosis is involved in the biological process of various cancers. However, the role of ferroptosis in PTC remains unclear. This study aims at exploring the expression of ferroptosis-related genes (FRG) and their prognostic values in PTC. Methods A ferroptosis-related gene signature was constructed using lasso regression analysis through the PTC datasets of the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA). Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) enrichment analyses were performed to investigate the bioinformatics functions of significantly different genes (SDG) of ferroptosis. Additionally, the correlations of ferroptosis and immune cells were assessed through the single-sample gene set enrichment analysis (ssGSEA) and CIBERSORT database. Finally, SDG were test in clinical PTC specimens and normal thyroid tissues. Results LASSO regression model was utilized to establish a novel FRG signature with 10 genes (ANGPTL7, CDKN2A, DPP4, DRD4, ISCU, PGD, SRXN1, TF, TFRC, TXNRD1) to predicts the prognosis of PTC, and the patients were separated into high-risk and low-risk groups by the risk score. Summary: Background: Immune thrombocytopenia is an autoimmune disease characterised by decreased platelet count. In recent years, novel therapeutic regimens have been investigated in randomised controlled trials (RCTs). We aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of different treatments in newly diagnosed adult primary immune thrombocytopenia. Methods: We did a systematic review and network meta-analysis of RCTs involving treatments for newly diagnosed primary immune thrombocytopenia. PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, and ClinicalTrials.gov databases were searched up to April 31, 2022. The primary outcomes were 6-month sustained response and early response. Secondary outcome was grade 3 or higher adverse events. This study is registered with PROSPERO (CRD42022296179). Findings: Eighteen RCTs (n = 1944) were included in this study. Pairwise meta-analysis showed that the percentage of patients achieving early response was higher in the dexamethasone-containing doublet group than in the dexamethasone group (79.7% vs 68.7%, odds ratio [OR] 1.82, 95% CI 1.10–3.02). The difference was more profound for sustained response (60.5% vs 37.4%, OR 2.57, 95% CI 1.95–3.40). Network meta-analysis showed that dexamethasone plus recombinant human thrombopoietin ranked first for early response, followed by dexamethasone plus oseltamivir or tacrolimus. Rituximab plus prednisolone achieved highest sustained response, followed by dexamethasone plus all-trans retinoic acid or rituximab. Rituximab plus dexamethasone showed 15.3% of grade 3 or higher adverse events, followed by prednis(ol)one (4.8%) and all-trans retinoic acid plus dexamethasone (4.7%). Interpretation: Our findings suggested that compared with monotherapy dexamethasone or prednis(ol)one, the combined regimens had better early and sustained responses. rhTPO plus dexamethasone ranked top in early response, while rituximab plus corticosteroids obtained the best sustained response, but with more adverse events. Adding oseltamivir, all-trans retinoic acid or tacrolimus to dexamethasone reached equally encouraging sustained response, without compromising safety profile. Although this network meta-analysis compared all the therapeutic regimens up to date, more head-to-head RCTs with larger sample size are warranted to make direct comparison among these strategies. Since the rapid economic development within the dike is inconsistent with the level of flood control management,dike break is prone to occur under over-standard floods and causes serious losses of life,economy,and ecological environments.Taking a key dike in the Poyang Lake area as an example,this paper proposed a dike-break-induced flood evolution simulation method based on hydrodynamics.The proposed method adopted the MIKE 21 software for dike-break-induced flood evolution analysis.The roughness of the underlying surface was determined reasonably according to different types of land use.Meanwhile,quantitative evaluation models of life,economic,and environmental losses that had clear physical meaning were established in the Python platform.The research results can provide references for flood warning and risk management and control of flood disasters in protected areas.

PurposeThe current study attempts to investigate the role of anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) in alleviating symptoms in patients with cervical vertigo associated with cervical instability.MethodsThe patients of cervical instability with vertigo and dizziness who underwent ACDF between January 2011 and December 2019 were followed-up for more than two years. Demographic data (age, sex, follow up period and levels of instable cervical segments) were assessed; Symptoms of vertigo and dizziness before and after surgery were assessed by the 15-item version of the Vertigo Symptom Scale (VSS) and the 25-item Dizziness Handicap Inventory (DHI). The severity and frequency of other symptoms like neck and occipital pain, gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, vomiting, tinnitus, palpitations, headache, diplopia and blurring of vision before and after surgery were also assessed.ResultsA total of 92 patients underwent ACDF for cervical instability with vertigo and dizziness between January 2011 and December 2019, of which 79 patients were included in the final analysis. The number of instable levels had no correlation with VSS and DHI scores before surgery (p > 0.05), while patients with C3/4 instability suffering a severer vertigo than other levels. Purpose. There have been many studies in the operative management of pyogenic spondylodiscitis with foreign materials. However, it still remains an issue of debate on whether the allografts may be used in pyogenic spondylodiscitis. This study sought to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of PEEK cages and the cadaveric allograft in transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) for treating lumbar pyogenic spondylodiscitis. Methods. From January 2012 to December 2019, 56 patients underwent surgery for lumbar pyogenic spondylodiscitis. The posterior debridement of all patients and their fusion with allografts, local bone grafts, and bone chip cages were performed before posterior pedicle screw fusion. An assessment of the residual pain, the grade of neurological injury, and the resolution of infection was conducted on 39 patients. The clinical outcome was evaluated using a visual analog scale (VAS) and the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI), and neurological outcomes were appraised based on Frankel grades. The radiological outcomes were evaluated via focal lordosis, lumbar lordosis, and the state of the fusion. Results. Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis were the most common causative organisms. The mean preoperative focal lordosis was −1.2° (−11.4° to 5.7°), and the mean postoperative focal lordosis increased to 10.3° (4.3°–17.2°). At the final follow-up, there were five cases with subsidence of the cage, no case of recurrence, and no case with cage and screw loosening or migration. The mean preoperative VAS and ODI scores were 8.9 and 74.6%, respectively, and improvements in VAS and ODI were 6.6±2.2 and 50.4±21.3%, respectively. The Frankel grade D was found in 10 patients and grade C in 7. Following the final follow-up, only one patient improved from Frankel grade C to grade D while the others recovered completely. Conclusion. The PEEK cage and cadaveric allograft combined with local bone grafts is a safe and effective choice for intervertebral fusion and restoring sagittal alignment without increased incidence of relapse for treating lumbar pyogenic spondylodiscitis.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), the most common kind of liver cancer, accounts for the majority of liver cancer diagnoses and fatalities. Clinical aggressiveness, resistance to traditional therapy, and a high mortality rate are all features of this disease. Our previous studies have shown that co-activation of AKT and c-Met induces HCC development, which is the malignant biological feature of human HCC. Cucurbitacin B (CuB), a naturally occurring tetracyclic triterpenoid compound with potential antitumor activity. However, the metabolic mechanism of AKT/c-Met-induced Hepatocellular Carcinogenesis and CuB in HCC remains unclear. In this study, we established an HCC mouse model by hydrodynamically transfecting active AKT and c-Met proto-oncogenes. Based on the results of hematoxylin-eosin (H&E), oil red O (ORO) staining, and immunohistochemistry (IHC), HCC progression was divided into two stages: the early stage of HCC (3 weeks after AKT/c-Met injection) and the formative stage of HCC (6 weeks after AKT/c-Met injection), and the therapeutic effect of CuB was evaluated. Through UPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS metabolomics, a total of 26 distinct metabolites were found in the early stage of HCC for serum samples, while in the formative stage of HCC, 36 distinct metabolites were found in serum samples, and 13 different metabolites were detected in liver samples. 33 metabolites in serum samples and 11 in live samples were affected by CuB administration. Additionally, metabolic pathways and western blotting analysis revealed that CuB influences lipid metabolism, amino acid metabolism, and glucose metabolism by altering the AKT/mTORC1 signaling pathway, hence decreasing tumor progression. This study provides a metabolic basis for the early diagnosis, therapy, and prognosis of HCC and the clinical application of CuB in HCC.

Background: Multiple studies have reported the increased incidence of thyroid cancer in patients with primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT). However, the underlying risk factors of concomitant thyroid cancer in patients with PHPT remain unknown. The primary aim of this study was to examine the records of patients with PHPT to identify characteristics that correlated with the presence of coexisting thyroid nodules, and which may have an implication for the prediction of thyroid cancer. Methods: Medical records of consecutive patients with PHPT (n = 318) were reviewed from January 2010 to September 2020 in two tertiary medical centers in China. Patient clinicopathological and biological data were collected and analyzed. Results: Of a total of 318 patients with PHPT, 105 (33.0%) patients had thyroid nodules and 26 (8.2%) patients were concomitant with thyroid cancer. A total of 38 thyroid nodules taken from 26 patients were pathologically assessed to be well-differentiated papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC), with 81% being papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC). In 79% (30/38) of these cancers, thyroid nodules were considered suspicious following preoperative ultrasound. Multinomial logistic regression analysis revealed that female gender was associated with increased risk of thyroid nod ules (OR = 2.13, 95% CI: 1.13–3.99, P = 0.019), while lower log-transformed parathyroid hormone levels were an independent predictor of thyroid cancer in patients with PHP T (OR = 0.50, 95% CI: 0.26–0.93, P = 0.028). Conclusion: In conclusion, we observed a relatively high prevalence of thyroid cancer in our cohort of Chinese patients with PHPT. Evaluation of thyroid nodules by preoperative ultrasound may be advisable in patients with PHPT, particularly for females and patients with modestly elevated serum parathyroid hormone levels.

Developing accurate electrophysiological recording platforms is crucial for investigating cellular electrical activities, understanding the mechanisms underlying cardiovascular disease, and advancing therapeutic strategies. While the successful recording of intracellular electrophysiological status has been achieved by 3D micro/nano devices, their preparation through demanding micro/nanofabrication and poorly controllable solvothermal synthesis is an impediment to widespread utilization. Easier‐to‐access recording electrodes are needed. To address this challenge, a simple and efficient supramolecular self‐assembly strategy that allows access to novel 3D electrodes is introduced. It relies on small organic molecules that can be self‐assembled efficiently into various 3D nanostructures, including lamellated nanosheets, thin nanobelts, and short rod‐like structures. Electrodes prepared through the present self‐assembly process are considerably simpler and more cost‐effective than conventional 3D micro/nanoelectrodes prepared through fabrication or solvothermal synthesis. It is demonstrated that the present electrodes allow for higher quality and prolonged intracellular recordings of action potentials as compared to similarly sized conventional planar electrodes. The noted improvements are attributed to the fact that 3D geometrical electrodes enhance the cell‐electrode interface, ensuring tight coupling and effective electroporation. This work showcases how supramolecular self‐assembly might emerge as a promising and powerful electrode preparation strategy that may facilitate low‐cost electrophysiological studies.
