The increasing demands of energy and environmental concerns have motivated researchers to cultivate renewable energy resources for replacing conventional fossil fuels. The modern energy conversion and storage devices required high efficient and stable electrocatalysts to fulfil the market demands. In previous years, we are witness for considerable developments of scientific attention in Metal‐organic Frameworks (MOFs) and their derived nanomaterials in electrocatalysis. In current review article, we have discussed the progress of optimistic strategies and approaches for the manufacturing of MOF‐derived functional materials and their presentation as electrocatalysts for significant energy related reactions. MOFs functioning as a self‐sacrificing template bid different benefits for the preparation of metal nanostructures, metal oxides and carbon‐abundant materials promoting through the porous structure, organic functionalities, abundance of metal sites and large surface area. Thorough study for the recent advancement in the MOF‐derived materials, metal‐coordinated N‐doped carbons with single‐atom active sites are emerging candidates for future commercial applications. The rapid development of flexible and wearable optoelectronic devices, demanding the superior, reliable, and ultra‐long cycling energy storage systems. But poor performances of electrode materials used in energy devices are main obstacles. Recently, single‐atom catalysts (SACs) are considered as emerging and potential candidates as electrode materials for battery devices. Herein, we have discussed the recent methods for the fabrication of SACs for rechargeable metal‐air batteries, metal‐CO2 batteries, metal‐sulfur batteries, and other batteries, following the recent advances in assembling and performance of these batteries by using SACs as electrode materials. The role of SACs to solve the bottle‐neck problems of these energy storage devices and future perspectives are also discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The plant root extract mediated green synthesis method produces monodispersed spherical shape silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) with a size range of 15–30 nm as analyzed by atomic force and transmission electron microscopy. The material showed potent antibacterial and antifungal properties. Synthesized AgNPs display a characteristic surface plasmon resonance peak at 420 nm in UV–Vis spectroscopy. X-ray diffractometer analysis revealed the crystalline and face-centered cubic geometry of in situ prepared AgNPs. Agar well diffusion and a colony forming unit assay demonstrated the potent biocidal activity of AgNPs against Staphylococcus aureus , Escherichia coli , Bacillus subtilis , Klebsiella pneumoniae , Pseudomonas diminuta and Mycobacterium smegmatis . Intriguingly, the phytosynthesized AgNPs exhibited activity against pathogenic fungi, namely Trichophyton rubrum, Aspergillus versicolor and Candida albicans . Scanning electron microscopy observations indicated morphological changes in the bacterial cells incubated with silver nanoparticles. The genomic DNA isolated from the bacteria was incubated with an increasing concentration of AgNPs and the replication fidelity of 16S rDNA was observed by performing 18 and 35 cycles PCR. The replication efficiency of small (600 bp) and large (1500 bp) DNA fragments in the presence of AgNPs were compromised in a dose-dependent manner. The results suggest that the Thalictrum foliolosum root extract mediated synthesis of AgNPs could be used as a promising antimicrobial agent against clinical pathogens.

In this paper, the facile synthesis of graphene oxide and MOF based composite material for the demanded adsorption of leading antibiotic is reported. The adsorbent showed good results for removal of norfloxacin with high adsorption capacity (1114.82 mg/g) and removal efficiency (93.61 %). In addition, Langmuir model proved most suitable with highest value of R2 = 0.99929 among three applied isothermal models. The thermodynamic study showed spontaneous and exothermic (ΔH = −1.1×10−5 Kj/ mol, ΔG = −13324.33 Kj/ mol) nature of adsorption process with reusability of 88.4 % after several cycles. Moreover, statistical analysis and mechanistic study were also performed. The Pulwama saga has once again brought to the fore the volatility of the region in which full-scale war was ostensibly averted through behind the curtain interlocutors but more by the nightmare of the nuclear holocaust in the region. The threat of nuclear showdown is not eminent anywhere else in the world but in South Asia. This academic foray endeavors to the concept of deterrence in South Asia and the role it has played in maintaining peace, thus far, a series of breaking points notwithstanding. The crises, though averted temporarily with the Kashmir issue remaining unresolved and India resorting to hybrid war against Pakistan, the volatile and uncertain strategic environment of the region has always caused anguish for the international fraternity. In obtaining geostrategic milieu, the US still has the wherewithal to influence the escalation ladder due to its large military footprints in the Indo-Pacific region. However, due to increasing Indo-US convergence of interests in the region, the role of the US can no longer be considered as non-partisan in the imbroglio, especially, when viewed in the context of deep cooperation between Pakistan and China, the epitome being CPEC. This calls for the involvement of international community in maintaining peace in the region. There is a dire need for the international fraternity led by the US to work in a non-partisan manner to maintain normalcy in the region and forge confidence amongst the unpredictable nuclear pugilists. In the present paper. we obtain a finite integral involving general class of polynomials and I-function. Next with the application of this and the lamma due to Srivastava et.al. [12], we obtain two general multiple integrals relation involving general class of polynomials. I-function and two arbitrary function f and g. By suitably specializing the functions f and g occuring in the main integral relation, a number of multiple integrals are evaluated which are new and quit general in nature. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
