Abstract
- Minority group arts in Britain are discussed as a means to develop and enhance a multi-cultural society. The arts of the following ethnic groups are discussed: Bangladeshis, Chinese, Cypriots, East and Central Europeans, Indians, Pakistanis, West Indians, and Africans. Following a description of the cultural activities of each group, specific recommendations are made for various national and local government support measures. General recommendations are made for the continuation and development of ethnic minority arts, and the testimony of several professional organizations with an interest in arts and entertainment is included.
