Fermented feed is rich in probiotics, organic acids and other components, which is easy to digest and absorb by animals, and has high nutritional value. The palatability of the fermented feed is good, with a low content of anti-nutrient factors. It can improve the digestibility and utilization rate of animal feed, stabilize the structure of animal intestinal microorganisms, and enhance the immunity of the body. The paper mainly elaborates the concept and action mechanism of the fermented feed, reviews the effects of the fermented feed on the intestinal health, feed utilization rate, feeding cost and animal production performance, analyzes the problems existing in the application of the fermented feed in animal production, and prospects the future application of the fermented feed, in order to provide reference for the efficient utilization of fermented feed in animal breeding. Perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) have attracted much attention in the field of photoelectrochemical (PEC) sensors owing to their superb optical properties and efficient charge transport, but the inherent poor stability severely hinders their PEC applications. Herein, hydrolysis‐resistant CsPbBr3/reduced graphene oxide nanoscrolls (CsPbBr3/rGO NSs) are obtained by solvent‐assisted self‐rolling process toward water‐stable PEC sensors. CsPbBr3 QDs embedded in rGO nanosheets can be prevented from water since the multilayer rGO shell layers, which maintains excellent optical properties. On account of strong interfacial interactions, rGO nanosheets are crimped spontaneously with CsPbBr3 QDs, which offer access to superb structural and long‐term storage stability. Moreover, appropriate band alignment and ultrafast interfacial carrier transfer enable CsPbBr3/rGO NSs to exhibit greatly enhanced anode photocurrent response for subsequent PEC sensing. As a demonstration, the molecular imprinted PEC sensors for two kinds of mycotoxins (aflatoxin B1 or ochratoxin A) presents an ultra‐high sensitivity and good anti‐interference ability. Significantly, this work provides an inspirable and convenient route for hydrolysis‐resistant PQDs‐based optoelectronic and photoelectrocatalytic applications in aqueous ambience. Objective: Pleural effusion is common problem, but the rapid and reliable diagnosis for specific pathogenic effusions are lacking. This study aimed to identify the diagnosis based on clinical variables to differentiate pleural tuberculous exudates from other pleural effusions. We also investigated the role of renin-angiotensin system (RAS) and matrix metalloproteinase (MMPs) in the pathogenesis of pleural exudates.Experimental design: The major components in RAS and extracellular matrix metabolism, including angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE), ACE2, MMP-2 and MMP-9 activities, were measured and compared in the patients with transudative (n = 45) and exudative (n = 80) effusions. The exudative effusions were come from the patients with tuberculosis (n = 20), pneumonia (n = 32), and adenocarcinoma (n = 28).Results: Increased ACE and equivalent ACE2 activities, resulting in a significantly increased ACE/ACE2 ratio in exudates, were detected compared to these values in transudates. MMP-9 activity in exudates was significantly higher than that in transudates. The significant correlation between ACE and ACE2 activity that was found in transudates was not found in exudates. Advanced analyses showed significantly increased ACE and MMP-9 activities, and decreased ACE2 activity in tuberculous pleural effusions compared with those in pneumonia and adenocarcinoma effusions. The results indicate that increased ACE and MMP-9 activities found in the exudates were mainly contributed from a higher level of both enzyme activities in the tuberculous pleural effusions.Conclusion: Interplay between ACE and ACE2, essential functions in the RAS, and abnormal regulation of MMP-9 probably play a pivotal role in the development of exudative effusions. Moreover, the ACE/ACE2 ratio combined with MMP-9 activity in pleural fluid may be potential biomarkers for diagnosing tuberculous pleurisy.

Rare circulating tumor cells (CTCs) are always harvested with large numbers of white blood cells (WBCs) by current CTC isolation techniques, which influences the accuracy of CTC‐related gene and protein analysis. Therefore, it is very urgent to develop a method for efficient isolation of CTCs with high purity. In this work, we fabricated a reversibly assembled interface by layer‐by‐layer assembly of biotinylated poly‐(L‐lysine‐graft‐ethylene glycol) (PLL‐g‐PEG‐biotin), streptavidin, and CTC‐specific antibody on a three‐dimensional conductive scaffold, and further embedded it into a customized microchip for CTC capture. The assembled multilayers increased the roughness of the scaffold, which improved the capture efficiency. Importantly, the PLL‐g‐PEG‐biotin covalently coupled with CTCs could be detached from the scaffold by electrostatic repulsion, and the released CTCs could be recaptured on the conductive scaffold via electrostatic attraction while the WBCs were continuously drifted away. This reversible capture and release strategy significantly improved the purity of CTCs, and pure CTCs were obtained from cancer patients' blood samples for gene mutation assay, which will be of great significance for assisting cancer diagnosis and treatment in a noninvasive way. Gut microbiota are significantly associated with the occurrence and development of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Panax notoginseng saponins (PNS) could be used for colitis and to modulate gut microbiota. However, the mechanism behind the effects of PNS on anti-colitis that are pertinent to gut microbiota is largely unknown. This study aimed to evaluate the anti-colitis effects of PNS and explore the involved mechanism as it is related to gut microbiota. Results showed that PNS significantly alleviated dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis. Meanwhile, after PNS treatment, the tight junction proteins were enhanced and proinflammatory cytokines, such as TNF- α , IL-6, IL-1 β , and IL-17, were decreased. Furthermore, Bacteroides spp. were significantly increased after modeling, while PNS reduced their abundance and significantly increased the amount of Akkermansia spp. in vivo. Importantly, Akkermansia spp. and Bacteroides spp. were correlated with the IBD disease indicators. Moreover, fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) experiments confirmed that PNS-reshaped gut microbiota significantly alleviated DSS-induced colitis, while A. muciniphila significantly reduced the levels of the LPS-induced cellular inflammatory factors IL-1 β and TNF- α. In conclusion, PNS alleviated colitis pertinent to the upregulation of Akkermania spp. and downregulation of Bacteroides spp. in the gut. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The study was to provide reference for the rational utilization of straw resources in Qinghai Province, and systematically analyzed the feed utilization potential of local main crop straw resources. The results showed that from 2015 to 2021, the main crops in Qinghai Province could collect 1 660 800~1 723 000 t of straw, produced 61 500~68 300 t of crude protein (CP) and 948.73~984.16 GJ of metabolic energy (ME). The livestock carrying capacity of available straw was 3 421 200~3 049 300 sheep units, the livestock carrying capacity of digestible crude protein (DCP) was 989 800~ 1 098 700 sheep units, the livestock carrying capacity of ME was 3 101 800~3 217 600 sheep units, the indirect food saving was 1 728 200~1 793 200 t, and the potential of straw meat production was 87 300~90 600 t. In 2020, the amount of grain saved by straw in Qinghai Province was equivalent to 435 500 hm² of wheat planting area increased that year, the meat output of livestock raised with straw accounted for 26.79% of total output of beef and mutton in that year. The study indicates that the straw resources in Qinghai Province have the potential of feed utilization, which can provide material resource for the construction of Qinghai green organic agricultural and livestock products export place.
