Technological development, from the mid-twentieth century, promoted the development of different areas, such as computational science and Artificial Intelligence (AI), studies in science, technology and society (STS) and digital communication. These research areas have increased the scope of information and communication. In this context, this theoretical study aims to reflect on Acessible Digital Communication as a scientific field, according to Pierre Bourdieu's theoretical proposition, having as historical cut the beginnings of cyberculture and digital culture, the evolution of digital technologies and the challenges of digital communication in contemporary times. The research is bibliographic and documentary and seeks to strengthen this theme, as an area and field of studies. At the end, we propose a reflection on the importance of the theme and its interfaces, corroborating some strategies for the construction of this scientific field, having as a time frame the acessible digital communication for People with Disabilities (PWD).

The wellbeing in organizations stems from the internal climate that exists there. Employee satisfaction and motivation depends on intraorganizational relationships. Sociability in organizations is crucial for a positive business climate through the interaction and integration of employees. The Home Office and Telecomputing boosted by COVID-19 led to a physical removal of workers. With the analysis of real cases, we found that the use of digital media in the scope of Strategic Management of Internal Communication surprised society in general and the business community, causing a greater affective approach to the company and to the workers. Digital communication campaigns have removed the creation of communities from the central axis of their planning to focus on the generation of content and, together with that content, the use of the guideline as a segmentation resource based on the tastes and preferences of their audiences, this work aims to investigate the ways in which audiences are perceived and segmented by organizations today. In turn, the role of big data and algorithms in this process is investigated and its application. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The consumption of streaming content on social networks has increased among young audiences, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic began, promoting the emergence of new parasocial relationships. The literature points to boredom and unwanted loneliness as the main drivers of this behavior. No study has investigated the expression of boredom and unwanted loneliness on Twitch to determine if they encourage the consumption of streaming content. This study analyzes the expressions of boredom and unwanted loneliness of users consuming streaming content on Twitch to ascertain to which extent they are the main motivations depending on the context and conclude implications for practice. A mixed methodology was used, guided by virtual ethnography, to respond to the double qualitative-quantitative approach of the research. It has been applied to six communities of Spanish-speaking streamers on Twitch, with different audience levels, taking 3 streamings per streamer as case studies, broadcast from December 2021 to January 2022. The results were obtained using ethnographic observation and content analysis techniques. They suggest that boredom and unwanted loneliness are states that motivate the consumption of streaming content on Twitch. Their presence is more visible in small communities, and their nature differs depending on each community. Streamers should pay attention to their audience to relieve their boredom and unwanted loneliness, and to help detect possible maladaptive behaviors motivated by these states. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In the context of social struggles of the second decade of the 21st century, expressed and unleashed from the new communication technologies, the Ecuadorian National Strike in October 2019 is a case of interest to explore the uses of social networks by the mobilized citizen and indigenous movements. The purpose of this research is to analyze the forms of digital production and distribution of the images of three Ecuadorian groups during the Ecuadorian National Strike: Wambra, digital community medium; Fluxus Foto, a collective of photojournalists, and Primera Línea, an online curatorial work. In the present investigation, three stages can be identified. In the first stage, a first corpus was determined with the main activist strategies of visual creation and communication developed during the National Strike of Ecuador. In the second stage, three activist image concepts were configured that allude to temporal praxis and that were applied to the analysis of three active digital activist collectives during the strike: the image-simultaneity, the image-continuity and the image-memory. Finally, in the third and final stage, four categorical modalities were established that were useful to analyze each of the previous concepts of activist digital image: Collective enunciation; Plurimediality, Structural openness and Connectivity. These concepts have given us two fundamental conclusions: a) We have been able to demonstrate how time provides a greater ability to choose and work with images; b) The closer the image is to the present of its production, the greater number of visits and reactions.

- Abstract
This paper aims to present a critique of the expression artificial intelligence (AI), pointing out possible inadequacies and aporias. For this, it considers some possibilities of rereading AI from the notion of human extension (M. McLuhan) and, above all, the idea of connectivity (M. Di Felice), here conceived as the ability of human and non-human elements to establish connections in an ecosystem. From this perspective, in the context of stochastic technologies such as ChatGPT, an intelligent system would be capable of expanding its connections and, therefore, continuously transforming itself: thus, instead of noise or sources of instability, the changes generated by new connections would act as decisive and even necessary elements for the system’s learning., Este artigo pretende apresentar uma crítica da expressão “inteligência artificial” (IA), apontando-lhe possíveis inadequações e aporias.

How to analyze online communication and political mobilization, especially when they combine human and technical elements and modes of operation as diverse as algorithmic structure and meaning? This article comments on some contributions that Simondonian philosophy can bring to the question, proposing to look at the processes that occur in digital environments with notions such as individuation and information. Thus, it seeks to question how digital communication produces realities and argues that it cannot be completely conditioned, as it is the result of relationships between humans, machines and the environment. The pandemic went viral on all our devices. The processes of digitization of life and culture accelerated in the last two years as a result of the health contingency derived from Covid-19, so much so that there are those who affirm that we made a quantum leap towards the post-digital era and the Fourth Industrial Revolution faster than what we had planned, thereby consolidating the second era of computers and the empire of screens. This article deals with the process of forming indigenous sociotechnical networks in Brazil based on the analysis of three experiences: the Network of Peoples of the Forest, the Network of Indigenous Memory and Social Museology and the Network of CineFlecha. Through a qualitative research of a theoretical nature, the informative architectures of these three networks were investigated, analyzing their hypertextual specificities, in which, in addition to an intense communicative performance, their cosmopolitical and ecological qualities were verified. The observation and study of these networks express a particular type of interaction that goes beyond the technical and social dimension, encompassing the ecological, environmental and cosmological spheres. This reflective article frames the relationship of the construction of subjectivity of the political-politics from and for interactive digital communication. The world of social networks has been recreating new ways of relating, communicating, sharing and creating content, knowledge, communities, spaces and timelessness of interaction between users and the world, which has led the subjects to expand their ways of thinking, feeling and doing. The intention of this exercise is to outline the construction of the subjectivity of the political-politics based on the use of social networks and the need to think about the meaning and the role of education in a world characterized by singularity, multiplicity, the mutant, the hybrid, the difference and the common, and micropolitics, among other aspects that make up the life and construction of the individual, the acquisition of ideas and the exercise of power. This article presents an approach to the production of Brazilian audiovisual events. Its research object is cultural projects based in Minas Gerais and carried out in 2020, coinciding with the first year of the Covi-19 world pandemic. This is a quantitative and qualitative research with the objective of understanding the perception of audiovisual event producers on the need to adapt the programming totally to the digital environment. The main data collection technique used was the availability of a virtual form, containing open and closed questions. The questionnaire was sent online to the 11 audiovisual events that comprised the sample of this study. The analysis was based on responses from seven of the eleven cultural projects selected for the sample. The findings can be related to three fronts: (1) challenges of adapting all the programming idealized for the face-to-face format and offered in the virtual modality; (2) remote access gains from new audiences; (3) trend towards future editions in a hybrid format.

Quem é o receptor do Remix?

This paper exemplifies the use of aggression as impoliteness in computermediated, or digital communication in Brazilian Portuguese, while looking into the performance of such linguistic actions in the context of a discussion about class discrimination. Specifically, it investigates the relationship between linguistic aggression as impoliteness, and identity as observed in a Facebook campaign page about a Brazilian university. The page under consideration was devised as an open platform to disseminate and call attention to examples of discriminatory behaviors experienced by students from peripheric communities attending an elite university in Rio de Janeiro. These students were at the center of a controversy, as they were supposedly brought to this institution through social programs promoted by the previous, leftist oriented governments. This paper examines the use of linguistic aggression as impoliteness, such as name calling and overt disagreement (LORENZO-DUS; BLITVICH; BOU-FRANCH, 2011), to communicate different opinions about, or argue against, the perceived instances of discrimination supplied by the students in the campaign and subsequently discussed by the participants in their posts. These impoliteness strategies ratify identities in the context of the discussion, marking in and outside group members, as the participants 1) align against, or 2) justify, the described behaviors. CYBERFEMINISM , *MALE domination (Social structure) , *DIGITAL communications , *CYBERNETICS , *LITERATURE , *WOMEN , *INTERNET & activism - Abstract
This empirically and analytically oriented study seeks to review the intersection between women, literature, feminism, and the Internet to explore the organizations that are already contributing to it in Latin America, and analyze the practices developed and the use of cybernetic tools, especially in communication, to challenge and dismantle the dominant masculine discourse in literature. In Latin America, we see that digital activism is still in the process of setting up a significant scenario to build networks and transform cultural structures that ignore the literary experiences of women in both writing and reading. Likewise, we conclude that these types of initiatives have enormous potential to question and destroy the structures of inequality, although they need to hone their strategies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

DIGITAL technology , *CAMPAIGN debates , *PUBLIC spaces , *POLITICIANS , *POLITICAL platforms , *ONLINE social networks - Abstract
The digital transformation has evolved the ways of doing politics and the social networks have become spaces of public debate and campaign scenarios. In this comparative research of mixed approach, the monitoring tools Fanpage Karma and Twittonomy are used. In addition, the technique of data mining and the tools Crimson Hexagon and Sysomos are used for data extraction. The objective is to determine what use is made of the potential of these platforms (Twitter and Facebook) by the sectional/territorial, Ecuadorian and Spanish political leaders who have the greatest number of followers on these social networks. Four cases from Ecuador and four from Spain were selected for the research. The publications studied correspond to the collection of one month in 2019, a total of 5,119 messages, of which 1,099 were from Facebook and 4,020 from Twitter. Among the results, it can be seen that Ecuadorian politicians are more active than Spanish ones, it is also evident that a large part of the publications are multimedia elements (image and video) and that Twitter is an eminently political platform. It was also observed that there is no difference in the use of the tool according to gender and that the hashtags used by politicians respond mostly to their campaign slogans. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

SOCIAL responsibility of business , *NONPROFIT organizations , *COLLECTIVE behavior , *MUNICIPAL services , *DIGITAL media - Abstract
Being aware of the importance of improving the living conditions of the community throughout the development of healthy habits, Argentinian non-profit health organizations face the challenge of being sustainable in a context of high inflation and an income that is limited to the salary contributions of their members, in order to optimize the demands of their services. Within the framework of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the actions that favor health care are in a prominent place as they develop members' awareness of individual and collective responsible behaviors. Faced with this background, the purpose of this study is to analyze the factors influencing the dissemination of the social dimension of CSR in non-profit organizations providing or financing health services in the city of Mar del Plata, Argentina, as an instrument for developing strategies that are aimed at promoting health in the community. A quantitative research was carried out on the publication of content in digital media through a categorical regression model, which made it possible to distinguish the relevance of organizational attributes versus technological attributes, linking the promotion of healthy practices with the nature of these entities. DIGITAL communications , *INFORMATION & communication technologies , *DECISION making , *HUMAN beings - Abstract
Hybrid Threats is a concept that has entered to many states official documents and security strategies. Both the EU and NATO have taken serious measures to counter hybrid threats related activity. This special issue on digital communication and hybrid threats aims to advance our understanding of how hybrid threat actors use and can potentially exploit the information environment for targeting our democratic societies and decision-making processes at different levels for different purposes. Information and communication technologies have brought remarkable advances in the ways we obtain information and build awareness on the world and its events and interact with the others, but at the same time, these developments create opportunities for conducting information and influence operations with a hostile intent at an unprecedented scales. Political warfare, active measures, and communication-led covert actions operations are not new, and propaganda has been used throughout the history in conflict and war like situations. However, today our digital communication environment and the communication tools that we employ for legitimate purposes are also being employed by hostile authoritarian actors and/or their proxies at a scale that has interfered in our democratic processes like elections, to erode trust in our institutions, polarize and divide our societies in unhealthy ways and sow animosities between states and international partner countries. Since human beings make decisions based on their representations about the world and the information available through interpersonal symbolic interactions and through the different media, information can be deliberately utilized for a malign activity to produce cognitive, affective and behavioural effects. This research analyzes the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in teachers and students of six careers in the humanities area at the Autonomous University of Chihuahua (UACH), Mexico. The main objective was to establish a user profile, taking into account: time spent connected to the internet, topics addressed during these sessions, browsers, search engines and databases used, and the form and type of people with whom the user communicates. The analyzed sample constitutes a niche, in which all respondents have constant contact with ICTs and even though there is a significant gap in the sociodemographic variables of students and teachers, it was detected that these digital differences between both groups are small. The information collected encourages reflection on what are the challenges to give ICT a use that allows to obtain its maximum benefit in order to increase the productivity of students and teachers. PRESS relations , *DIGITAL communications , *ORGANIZATIONAL communication , *SOCIAL interaction , *TWO-way communication - Abstract
The increase in the use of the internet and its tools contributed to the development of communication in organizations, leading Public Relations companies in general, and those dedicated to press relations in particular, to follow this process. The present work addresses this theme focusing its attention on the impact that the internet and digital communication had on Public Relation companies. In particular, this study aims to: understand the impact of the evolution of the internet on the work and functioning of press relations companies; understand how press relations companies are adapting to the changes caused by the internet; understand how these changes have consequences on the type of professional profile sought by press relations companies. A qualitative approach was used, with the administration of a questionnaire with open questions. The sample as composed of three profiles of professionals involved in this phenomenon: professionals from press relations agencies, professionals from companies that are clients of those agencies and a third group formed by specialists in the area of communication. Thus, it was intended to obtain a complementary and comprehensive perspective of this phenomenon. The questionnaire was sent by e-mail making it possible to interview individuals who were in different regions without involving the movement of researchers. As main conclusions it was verified that a considerable part of the participants considered that the development of the online communication brought about a change of old paradigms in which old tools are gradually being abandoned, giving way to new ways of doing. In general, there is an increase in the use of digital channels, implying the adoption of new tools and knowledge. This market reality confirms the perspective found in the literature, in which it is argued that the growth of online communication has led to an evolution in the Public Relations sector, leading professionals to adapt to this new reality by incorporating digital into their practices. The digital age has made possible new forms of segmentation and communication through interaction on social networks, allowing to communicate with audiences in a more targeted and fast way. This evolution fits into the concept of PR 2.0 present in the literature showing a new way of applying PR to communication between companies and audiences. In contrast to the one-way transmission of information that was typical of the mass media, social networks allow two-way and interactive communication. The communication advisory companies must then adapt the communication to the new digital channels, gradually completing a migration to online. As a reaction to these changes, professionals are aware of the need to adapt to the new reality. In this context, most respondents recognized, in many cases, effective implementation of digital communication. This data is in line with other studies carried out with PR professionals who believe that technological innovations will be a significant factor of change in the sector. In this development of new skills and the acquisition of multidisciplinary knowledge, communication professionals inevitably should have a solid education. To this end, universities have an essential role in teaching Public Relations by training professionals who are up-to-date and prepared for market developments. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
