W niniejszym artykule zajmę się krytyką struktury teoretycznej, w ramach której w obszarze pedagogiki wytwarzane są krytyki reform szkolnictwa wyższego. Udowadniam, że krytyka neoliberalizmu w edukacji z jednej strony nie rozpoznaje dynamiki zmian i „konieczności” transformacji, z drugiej zaś zarówno krytyka, jak i obrona neoliberalnych reform nie przekracza kapitalistycznego rozdzielenia oraz właściwej danemu porządkowi instytucjonalizacji. Pod względem praktycznym powoduje to, że opór przybiera formę reakcyjną, czy to jako obrona przywilejów „klasy próżniaczej”, czy jako próba powrotu do okresu „kompromisu” między klasami, a tym samym nie jest w stanie wypracować radykalnej praktyki i realnie równościowej i demokratycznej edukacji, jak również przezwyciężyć „ideologiczny aparat państwowy”., In this article I criticise theoretical structure which is employed in critiquesof higher education reforms within the domain of pedagogy. I argue thatcritique of neoliberalism in education doesn’t recognise the dynamics of change and„necessity” of transformation. Both critique and defense of neoliberal reforms donot transcend capitalist „separation” and institutionalization typical of particularorders. In practical terms, it results in reactive resistance, either in the form of defenseof privileges of „leisure class or attempt to brink back the period of „class compromise”.In this way, it is not able to develop a radical practice, transcend „ideologicalstate apparatus” and produce a radical practice as well as education based on democracyand equality.

W artykule niniejszym przedstawiam obraz szkolnictwa wyższego prezentowany w polskiej prasie wysokonakładowej w latach 2008-1012. Na podstawie analizy tekstów publikowanych w wybranych dziennikach („Gazeta Wyborcza”, „Rzeczpospolita”, „Dziennik Gazeta Prawna”) i tygodnikach („Polityka”) dokonuję rekonstrukcji głównych składowychdyskursu, który określić można mianem hegemonicznego. In this article I criticise theoretical structure which is employed in critiquesof higher education reforms within the domain of pedagogy. I argue thatcritique of neoliberalism in education doesn’t recognise the dynamics of change and„necessity” of transformation. In this article Ferdydurke is discussed as a forerunner of the logic of late capitalism with all its repercussions, as identified by Frederick Jameson. Gombrowicz’s novel is seen as an early prognosis of neoliberal ideology, with its demands for effectivity and productivity as well as negation of social and affective bonds. Margaret Thatcher’s aphorism: “there is no such thing as society” is a pretext for a critical analysis of Ferdydurke, including the feminist critics of the European vision of the subject built on fear of the Other. This feminist analysis of Ferdydurke reveals several problems with the notion of body – theories of Julia Kristeva (on abjection) and Lynda Nead (on the female nude) are employed to demonstrate this argument. Mierząc się z propozycjami Loïca Wacquanta i Mathieu Hilgersa, autorzy uzupełniają je o lekceważony, nie tylko w tym przypadku, wymiar przestrzenności. Zabieg ten pozwala na traktowanie neoliberalizacji, odróżnionej od bardziej statycznego i nade wszystko dyskursywnego konceptu neoliberalizmu, jako wielobarwnego i uzależnionego od kontekstu (społecznego, geograficznego, politycznego itp.) procesu. Proponowana tu „reanimacja” neoliberalizmu ma na uwadze uchwycenie go w ruchu i w zróżnicowanych odmianach, w przeciwieństwie do ujednoliconej wizji nieuchronnie jednokierunkowego (i prowadzącego do wycofania państwa) projektu neoliberalnej restrukturyzacji. Ogląd tak niejednoznacznej rzeczywistości umożliwia, zdaniem autorów, metodologiczna droga pośrednia, która wiedzie ich „pomiędzy paradygmatycznymi miejscami prawdy [truth spots] oraz przestrzeniami wyjątku, w kierunku zrozumienia złożonej przestrzenności faktycznie istniejącego neoliberalizmu oraz jego koewolucji z doktrynami neoliberalnymi”., The article is a direct response to the previous voices in the debatededicated to historicity of the neoliberal state. Facing with Loïc Wacquant’s andMathieu Hilgers’ contributions, the authors try to complement them with the oftenneglected dimension of spatiality. This procedure allows one to treat neoliberalisation,distinguished from the more static and above all discursive concept of neoliberalism,as a variegated and context-dependent process. The concept of “reanimation” ofneoliberalism serves here to capture its mobile character and different varietiesconceptualized in opposition to the unified vision of inevitable project of neoliberalrestructuring. It is grounded in the methodological via media that leads us “betweenparadigmatic truth spots on the one hand, and spaces of exception on the other,towards an understanding of the complex spatiality of actually existing neoliberalismand its co-evolution with neoliberal doctrines”.

Artykuł stanowi próbę wykazania aktualności i politycznej ważności dorobku Róży Luksemburg w dziedzinie ekonomii politycznej. Przedstawia on współczesne przykłady wykorzystania koncepcji Luksemburg w teorii finansów oraz teorii obiegu pieniężnego, a także ich użyteczność w wyjaśnianiu aktualnego kryzysu gospodarczego, jak również w tworzeniu właściwych strategii rewolucyjnych w reakcji na katastrofalne konsekwencje kapitalizmu neoliberalnego. Autor argumentuje,że perspektywa Luksemburg znajduje się pomiędzy perspektywą klasy robotniczej a perspektywą kapitału w rozumieniu Harry’ego Cleavera. Podkreśla także polityczny charakter proponowanych przez nią rozwiązań problemów teorii ekonomii., This article attempts to prove the political relevance of Luxemburg’sachievements in political economy. It presents the current usages of Luxemburg’sconcepts in finance theory and theory of monetary circuit and shows its usefulnessin explaining the present economic crisis as well as in building proper revolutionarystrategies in reaction to catastrophic consequences of neoliberal capitalism. Theauthor argues that Luxemburg’s perspective is in-between a working class perspectiveand capital’s perspective (in Harry Cleaver’s terms) and emphasizes the politicalcharacter of her solutions to problems in economic theory.

Antropologia neoliberalizmu podzieliła się na dwa przeciwstawne obozy. Z jednej strony lokuje się hegemoniczny model ekonomiczny zakotwiczony w wariantach zasady rynkowej, z drugiej zaś buntownicze podejście stymulowane przez pochodne pojęcia urządzania. Oba zaciemniają to, co jest „neo” w neoliberalizmie: restrukturyzację państwa jako kluczowego sprawcy, ustanawiającego zasady i wytwarzającego podmiotowości oraz stosunki społeczne dostosowane do realizacji rynków. Nawiązując do dwóch dekad badań empirycznych nad miejską marginalnością w rozwiniętych społeczeństwach, proponuję drogę pośrednią między tymi dwoma podejściami. W tym ujęciu neoliberalizm to takie powiązanie państwa, rynku i obywatelstwa, które zaprzęga państwo do narzucania rynkowego piętna na obywatelstwo. Ukute przez Bourdieu pojęcie pola biurokratycznego oferuje potężne narzędzie do analizy reorganizacji państwa jako maszyny stratyfikacji i klasyfikacji kierującej odgórnie neoliberalną rewolucją, oraz pozwala na wysunięcie trzech tez: (1) neoliberalizm nie jest reżimem ekonomicznym, ale politycznym projektem formowania państwa, narzucającym dyscyplinarny „workfare”, „prisonfare” i motyw indywidualnej odpowiedzialności w służbie utowarowienia; (2) neoliberalizm pociąga za sobą prawicowe odchylenie przestrzeni biurokratycznych organów władzy, które definiują i dystrybuują dobra publiczne oraz powołuje do życia państwo-Centaura, które na szczycie struktury klasowej uprawia liberalizm, a na jej dole karzący paternalizm; (3) rozrost i gloryfikacja penitencjarnego skrzydła państwa jest integralnym składnikiem neoliberalnego Lewiatana, dlatego też policja, sądy, więzienia muszą zostać włączone w zakres politycznej antropologii neoliberalnego panowania., The anthropology of neoliberalism has become polarised betweena hegemonic economic model anchored by variants of market rule and an insurgentapproach fuelled by derivations of the Foucaultian notion of governmentality. Bourdieu’s concept of bureaucratic field offers a powerfultool for dissecting the revamping of the state as stratification and classificationmachine driving the neoliberal revolution from above and serves to put forth threetheses: (1) neoliberalism is not an economic regime but a political project of state--crafting that puts disciplinary ‘workfare’, neutralising ‘prisonfare’ and the trope of individual responsibility at the service of commodification; (2) neoliberalism entails a rightward tilting of the space of bureaucratic agencies that define and distribute public goods and spawns a Centaur-state that practises liberalism at the top of the class structure and punitive paternalism at the bottom; (3) the growth and glorificationof the penal wing of the state is an integral component of the neoliberal Leviathan, such that the police, courts and prison need to be brought into the political anthropology of neoliberal rule.

Oba zaciemniają to, co jest „neo” w neoliberalizmie: restrukturyzację państwa jako kluczowego sprawcy, ustanawiającego zasady i wytwarzającego podmiotowości oraz stosunki społeczne dostosowane do realizacji rynków. Nawiązując do dwóch dekad badań empirycznych nad miejską marginalnością w rozwiniętych społeczeństwach, proponuję drogę pośrednią między tymi dwoma podejściami. W tym ujęciu neoliberalizm to takie powiązanie państwa, rynku i obywatelstwa, które zaprzęga państwo do narzucania rynkowego piętna na obywatelstwo. This article attempts to prove the political relevance of Luxemburg’sachievements in political economy. Autor argumentuje,że perspektywa Luksemburg znajduje się pomiędzy perspektywą klasy robotniczej a perspektywą kapitału w rozumieniu Harry’ego Cleavera. Podkreśla także polityczny charakter proponowanych przez nią rozwiązań problemów teorii ekonomii.

Jeśli odrzucimy ideę chronologicznego następstwa systemów liberalno-demokratycznych i totalitarnych na rzecz wizji genealogicznej, szybko zauważymy, że prawdziwa cezura, strukturalny podział, nie przebiega pionowo między totalitaryzmem a demokracją liberalną, lecz poziomo między demokracją i komunizmem (jako paroksyzmem demokratycznego egalitaryzmu) z jednej strony a, z drugiej, biopolityką, na którą składają się dwie antytetyczne, lecz powiązane z sobą formy: nazizm i liberalizm, biopolityka państwowa i biopolityka indywidualna. Jeśli dla nazizmu człowiek jest własnym ciałem, dla liberalizmu, począwszy od Locke’a, człowiek posiada własne ciało, a zatem może go używać, zmieniać je, a nawet wymieniać na inne dobra. W tym sensie nazizm w swoich podstawowych kategoriach odwraca perspektywę liberalną, przyznając posiadanie ciała nie jednostce, lecz państwu, pozostając jednak w granicach tego samego biopolitycznego leksykonu. Twierdzę, że biopolityczny charakter liberalizmu odróżnia go właśnie od demokracji i komunizmu.
