Restoration of such trust necessitates a consideration of the reasons that have fed the current state of mistrust, and requires both sides to work to understand each other better. Today presidential system, that is offered as a solution to instability which arises from the coalitions in parliamentary system, is at issue in Turkey too. By contrast with supporters of presidential system in the name of stability, The Latin American countries are cited as evidences to negatives and anti-democratic practices of the system. It is emphesized that the only country which carries out the presidential system succesfully is The USA and there are specific factors of this success. In this context, the properties, advantages and disadvantages of the presidential system is examined in this study. Defining the relationship between the US and Turkey as one in which Turkey was a “willing receiver,” this study illuminates the general question of how Turkey's foreign policy orientation is relevant to the analysis of the success of US soft power in Turkey during the Cold War. For this purpose, it focuses on the centrality of Turkey's foreign policy orientation in facilitating the popular reception of Hollywood movies in Turkey by looking at how Turkey interpreted its regulations on films in favor of original or remakes of Hollywood movies. The paper concludes that while setting the scene for both the popularity of American movies and the effective use of US soft power strategies, Turkey's foreign policy orientation had far-reaching consequences for the development of the Turkish movie sector. The article discusses the assessment of how the regional activism in Turkey in the 21st century has been perceived in Europe and how such perceptions have affected its accession in the European Union (EU). It says that the country's participation in North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) interventions in Bosnia and Kosovo has manifested by the drive of the U.S. to realize the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline. It mentions Prime Minister Tayyip Erdoğgan, who was the first western leader to call for the resignation of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. It adds that the domestic changes in the country' have altered the nature of its regional policies.

According to the author, the moderate Muslims accept most or all of the most important western values related to politics, economics, education, and practical life. The author has presented Turkey as a special case for it's dream of joining Europe. The non-secular Turks consider belonging to Islam and Turkey's leadership of the Muslims to be important elements of their nation's glory. The article discusses about the negotiations being entered by the Unites States government, Turkish government and Kurdish liberation movements about gaining sovereignty and issues about control of certain territories which includes the oil-rich land of Kirkuk and Mosul. According to the article, the United States government have offered to position their troops in the aforementioned areas to prevent Kurdish control in the event of war, in exchange of Turkey's non-intervention in northern Iraq. It has been reported that there are Turkoman forces in Suleimani, a region being controlled by Kurds in an attempt to destabilize Kurdish forces and gain influence in that area. Also included in the article is an interview with Masoud Barzani, head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
