This paper aims to investigate the factors affecting cyber-entrepreneurial intentions among final-year students of public universities in Malaysia utilizing the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Theory of Self-Efficacy (TSE). The quantitative survey-based research method was adopted to conduct the study using both final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students from business and management schools to test the proposed research framework. A total of 364 useful responses were received to be analyzed for this study. Results showed that attitude toward entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial creativity, entrepreneurial knowledge, entrepreneurial orientation, entrepreneurial self-efficacy, and opportunity recognition were positively correlated with cyber-entrepreneurial intentions except for personal innovativeness in technology and subjective norm, which was insignificant. This study provides insights into the way individual's intention towards cyber-entrepreneurship could be ameliorated as a career choice, particularly for final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students of business and management schools in Malaysian public universities. It helps determine appropriate approaches to direct the government, educators, and policymakers. The findings from this study invaluably contribute to the existing literature by establishing correlation between TPB and TSE and inquiring into their ultimate influences on cyber-entrepreneurial intentions.

This study aims to understand factors that affect the behavioural intention of manufacturing engineers in Malaysia to use e-learning in the workplace. Two hundred usable online questionnaires were collected from respondents who were engineers in Malaysian manufacturing companies. The data were analyzed using SPSS and Smart PLS version 3.2.6. Results supported all direct relationships except for the influence of prior experience in perceived ease of use. Interestingly, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use fully mediated between computer self-efficacy and behavioural intention to adopt. The study provides theoretical implication to the technology acceptance model by confirming the mediating role of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness in the context of a manufacturing setting in an emerging market. In practical terms, the study provides insights to guide organizations in designing e-learning systems that are well-received by employees at the workplace.

Purpose: This study aimed to examine the roles of big data analytics technological capabilities (BDATC) on the performance of private higher education institutions (PHEIs) in Malaysia. This study explored mediating effect of strategic agility (SA) between BDATC and PHEIs' performance. The moderating effect of enterprise risk management (ERM) influencing the relationship between SA and PHEIs performance was also examined. Design/methodology/approach: To evaluate the hypotheses, data were collected from PHEIs in Malaysia using an online survey questionnaire. Structural equation modelling software SmartPLS 3.3.9 was used to analyse the 186 valid responses received. Findings: This empirical research discovered that BDATC and SA have positive and significant impact on PHEIs' performance. BDATC has positive and significant influence on SA of PHEIs. Moreover, SA mediates the influence of BDATC on PHEIs' performance. ERM enhances the impact of SA on performance of PHEIs in Malaysia. Originality/value: The findings contributed to the advancement of the resource-based view (RBV) theory and dynamic capability theory (DCT). Practitioners of PHEIs will understand how to maximise the resources and skills to improve BDATC, SA and ERM that eventually drive the performance of the practitioners' institution.

The present research aims to investigate the determinants of e-wallet continuance usage intention in Malaysia using extending Technology Continuance Theory (TCT) via examining four variables, namely price benefit, trust, habit, and operational constraints. This paper adopts a quantitative approach to collect data with non-probability sampling using the purposive sampling technique. An online survey was conducted and a total of 379 respondents submitted their answers. The obtained results have shown that continue use of e-wallet is not affected by perceived usefulness (PU) and trust. However, there is a significant influence associated with perceived ease of use (PEU), PU, and satisfaction toward user's attitude that, in turn, substantially impacts the users' intention to continue to use e-wallet. This is one of the prior studies exploring Malaysian's intention to continue using e-wallet, using the TCT model as the research framework, and through examining four variables adopted from the literature, including price benefit, habit, trust, and operational constraints. The practical implications for the service providers and policymakers from the present findings can be used to develop strategies to gain a sustainable, competitive advantage, and promote continuous intention of e-wallet usage. This study investigates the factors that affect the user's intention to use dashcam in Malaysia. This study examines the quantitative relationship of intrinsic as well as extrinsic factors such as personal innovativeness, perceived uniqueness, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude, perceived behavioral control, social influence, price value, and trust to the purchase intention of dashcam. Purposive sampling technique was employed to collect responses from 232 respondents based on two criteria: first, individuals who have experienced driving on the road and have a car; and second, individuals who not yet adopt or purchase the dashcam. The data were analyzed using SmartPLS (version 3.3.2). No relationship between personal innovativeness and perceived usefulness was found, in contrast to a significant relationship the former and perceived ease of use. Furthermore, perceived uniqueness was found significant to both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Consistent with the literature, both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use were identified as factors influencing attitude. However, perceived usefulness did not affect intention. Perceived behavioral control, social influence, attitude, and trust significantly affected the behavioral intention to use the dashcam in Malaysia. This study attempts to integrate and adapt two technology adoption models, namely the Combined Technology Acceptance Model and Theory Planned Behavior and extension of Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology, also extends the model with personal innovativeness, perceived uniqueness, and trust to fulfil the study's objectives as well. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the factors influencing consumer behavioral intention (BI) to use cryptocurrency as a medium of transaction. Constructs from the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology model and an added variable, perceived risk (PR), are examined to predict BI. Age and gender as moderators are retained in this model. Design/methodology/approach: An online survey was used to gather the respondents' responses on a five-point Likert scale. G * Power was used to calculate the required minimum sample size. A non-probability sampling technique was used to gather data from the 290 respondents based in Malaysia. The final data set was analyzed using the statistical package for the social sciences and SmartPLS software using structural equation modeling. Findings: The results show that three of the five proposed factors (performance expectancy, effort expectancy and facilitating condition) are significant predictors of BI to adopt cryptocurrency as a medium of transaction. Interestingly, PR is not a significant predictor even though prior research studies showed otherwise. Likewise, the relationship between BI and social influence became significant only when age is added as a moderator. Practical implications: Malaysians are still wary of cryptocurrency, even though global tech firms such as Amazon and Microsoft are already accepting Bitcoin as a payment method. This study aims to provide relevant authorities and businesses (i.e. central bank, retail merchants and cryptocurrency exchangers) insights toward understanding the factors consumers focus on if they were to use cryptocurrency as a medium of transaction. Originality/value: Most cryptocurrency research are done in developed countries (i.e. USA, UK and EU) perspective. This research addresses the lack of quantitative literature on significant factors influencing BI to use cryptocurrency in developing country context while taking a PR, age and gender into consideration. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to ascertain the determinants of firm performance for Malaysian retailers. Design/methodology/approach: An online survey was conducted to collect responses from members of the Malaysian Retailers' Chain Association. A total of 126 responses were obtained. Data analysis was done by using the PLS-SEM method. Findings: The results of the study indicate that Retail 4.0 adoption is able to improve retailers' performance as-a-whole by improving the four perspectives of firm performance as given in the Balanced Scorecard, i.e. the finance perspective, the customer perspective, the internal processes' perspective and also learning and growth perspective. Further, enterprise risk management was found to have a positive moderating effect on retailers' performance as-a-whole and also on the finance and customer perspectives of performance. Research limitations/implications: The study was conducted only in Malaysia and so, it might be geographically limited. Besides, it is cross-sectional in nature and therefore, the impact might be different if the study had been conducted over a longer period. Practical implications: This study provides a useful framework for retailers who are seeking to improve firm performance. Originality/value: This is one of the first studies to show the impact of Retail 4.0 adoption on firm performance. Purpose: This paper posits that business intelligence (BI) utilization is a strategic resource that significantly impacts the business sustainability of Public Listed Companies (PLCs) listed on Bursa Malaysia. Design/methodology/approach: This paper presents a systematic review of the concepts related to business intelligence utilization. Then, the issues of PLCs business sustainability in Malaysia are reviewed. This paper subsequently argues the consequences of business intelligence utilization. Findings: Based on the synthesis of the key points, this paper justifies the strategic impact of business intelligence utilization on the business sustainability of Malaysian PLCs. Practical implications: This paper provides significant knowledge for business practitioners to gain insights into the critical role of business intelligence utilization and its strategic impact on business sustainability. Purpose: The Malaysian retail industry, which contributes toward almost 45 per cent of the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is on a downward trend. As such, the main purpose of this study is to improve the performance of the Malaysian retail industry through the incorporation of Industry 4.0 technologies. The incorporation of Industry 4.0 technologies in the retail industry has led to the emergence of Retail 4.0 which can also be defined as omni-channel retailing. Design/methodology/approach: The adoption of Retail 4.0, which is a combination of omni-channel retailing and also novel technologies, has been proven to improve the performance of retailers in many countries. As such, the authors have given suggestions on how Retail 4.0 can be incorporated by Malaysian retailers for the betterment of the Malaysian retail industry. Findings: Problems faced by retailers these days are boring 'brick and mortar' stores, out of stock (OOS) issues, price discrepancy and long queues. Retail 4.0 has enabled retailers to overcome these problems by creating novel shopping experiences, better inventory management, and improved operational efficiency and also more informed decision making in real time. Limitations: The incorporation of Industry 4.0 technologies in Malaysia is still in the infancy stage. As such, skilled professionals need to be brought in to help implement these technologies in the retail industry. Practical implications: Omni-channel retailing and the usage of various technologies by 'brick and mortar' stores is very appealing to Malaysia's Gen Y and Gen Z who make up 67 per cent of the country's population. The spending power of this young generation can help to boost the performance of the Malaysian retail industry. Originality/value: To date, no known study has been done on the impact of Retail 4.0 on Malaysian retailers.
