Guangdong Province is rich in rural small hydropower station resources, with nearly 10 000 small hydropower stations in Guangdong Province, ranking first in the country in terms of quantity. Small hydropower station has played an important role in solving rural electricity consumption and promoting rural economic development.However, with the advancement of technology, the adjustment of national industrial policies, and the advancement of ecological civilization construction, small hydropower in Guangdong Province is facing needs such as green transformation and strengthened management. Therefore it is necessary to analyze the problems and countermeasures of small hydropower in green total factor intelligent management. This research shows that small hydropower in Guangdong Province has problems such as hidden dangers in production safety, insufficient protection of ecological flow, low degree of automation in operation and management, and difficulty in supervision. Problems mentioned above can be solved by establishing a safety production standard mechanism, implementing ecological flow, promoting the green transformation of small hydropower, and carrying out all-factor Intelligent management and other measures. This study aimed to understand the epidemic status and phylogenetic relationships of rotavirus group A (RVA) in the Pearl River Delta region of Guangdong Province, China. This study included individuals aged 28 days–85 years. A total of 706 stool samples from patients with acute gastroenteritis collected between January 2019 and January 2020 were analyzed for 17 causative pathogens, including RVA, using a Gastrointestinal Pathogen Panel, followed by genotyping, virus isolation, and complete sequencing to assess the genetic diversity of RVA. The overall RVA infection rate was 14.59% (103/706), with an irregular epidemiological pattern. The proportion of co-infection with RVA and other pathogens was 39.81% (41/103). Acute gastroenteritis is highly prevalent in young children aged 0–1 year, and RVA is the key pathogen circulating in patients 6–10 months of age with diarrhea. G9P[8] (58.25%, 60/103) was found to be the predominant genotype in the RVA strains, and the 41 RVA-positive strains that were successfully sequenced belonged to three different RVA genotypes in the phylogenetic analysis. Recombination analysis showed that gene reassortment events, selection pressure, codon usage bias, gene polymorphism, and post-translational modifications (PTMs) occurred in the G9P[8] and G3P[8] strains. This study provides molecular evidence of RVA prevalence in the Pearl River Delta region of China, further enriching the existing information on its genetics and evolutionary characteristics and suggesting the emergence of genetic diversity. Strengthening the surveillance of genotypic changes and gene reassortment in RVA strains is essential for further research and a better understanding of strain variations for further vaccine development. To contribute to the debate on the importance of state vis-à-vis inter-firm competition in regional development, this paper examines a representative dataset of the relocation of manufacturing firms in Guangdong province of China with multinomial logistic regression models. To improve the competitiveness of manufacturing in the Pearl River Delta, the Guangdong government implemented pro-active policies to encourage the relocation of existing manufacturing firms to their designated industrial parks during the 2000s. Although the initial results appear to support the usefulness of relocation policy, further examination reveals its effectiveness depends on the industrial sector and profiles of the relocated firms. In fact, the relocation of large-scale labor-intensive firms is not driven by local government initiatives. The physical proximity of high-technology parks to airports/ports has a bigger impact on the relocation of small-scale locally-funded high-technology firms into designated parks. In the case of locally-funded firms in polluting sectors, they are expanding rather than relocating to designated industrial parks. The empirical evidence indicates the non-binary nature of the industrial relocation policy. The pandemic of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has been engendering enormous hazards to the world. We obtained the complete genome sequences of SARSCoV-2 from imported cases admitted to the Guangzhou Eighth People's Hospital, which was appointed by the Guangdong provincial government to treat coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The SARS-CoV-2 diversity was analyzed, and the mutation characteristics, time, and regional trend of variant emergence were evaluated. In total, 177 throat swab samples were obtained from COVID-19 patients (from October 2020 to May 2021). High-throughput sequencing technology was used to detect the viral sequences of patients infected with SARS-CoV-2. Phylogenetic and molecular evolutionary analyses were used to evaluate the mutation characteristics and the time and regional trends of variants. We observed that the imported cases mainly occurred after January 2021, peaking in May 2021, with the highest proportion observed from cases originating from the United States. The main lineages were found in Europe, Africa, and North America, and B.1.1.7 and B.1.351 were the two major sublineages. Sublineage B.1.618 was the Asian lineage (Indian) found in this study, and B.1.1.228 was not included in the lineage list of the Pangolin web. A reasonably high homology was observed among all samples. The total frequency of mutations showed that the open reading frame 1a (ORF1a) protein had the highest mutation density at the nucleotide level, and the D614G mutation in the spike protein was the commonest at the amino acid level. Most importantly, we identified some amino acid mutations in positions S, ORF7b, and ORF9b, and they have neither been reported on the Global Initiative of Sharing All Influenza Data nor published in PubMed among all missense mutations. These results suggested the diversity of lineages and sublineages and the high homology at the amino acid level among imported cases infected with SARS-CoV-2 in Guangdong Province, China. The rise in electric vehicle (EV) use in Guangdong Province enhances the potential for Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) applications to absorb renewable energy and manage grid loads. This study explores V2G's carbon reduction and economic potential in Guangdong Province, using a long-term power model based on the region's EV inventory. It projects power consumption, carbon reduction and economic gains for battery electric vehicles (BEVs) across four carbon reduction scenarios aligned with transportation trends. Findings suggest V2G application and modes could cut carbon emissions by 1471 and 2873 million metric tons CO 2 and mitigate peak-valley load disparities by 7.6 %. Compared to multiple influencing factors, the increase in battery capacity is a key benefit to all stakeholders involved in V2G interactions. Large-scale V2G integration promotes green energy, enhances grid efficiency, and offers economic advantages for multiple participants. In modern agricultural practice, the land use pattern has been changing due to economic reasons and related policies, which significantly affects the basic physical and chemical properties of soils, thereby influencing the speciation and distribution of heavy metals (HMs) in soils. In this study, we selected three typical types of land use patterns (vegetable field, paddy field and forest field) in Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province, to analyze the content and distribution of HMs, screen the sensitive physicochemical properties, and predict the phytoavailability of HMs under different land use patterns with the multi-surface model (MSM). The forest field had relatively lower levels of labile and free HM ions than both paddy and vegetable fields, which may be attributed to the lower HM content in forest field. The modeling results revealed that organic matter (OM) is the primary carrier of HMs, accounting for 0.19%–97.92% of labile HMs. The sensitivity of soil physicochemical properties to free HM ions followed the order of pH > SOM > goethite > clay. Besides, the conversion of paddy field into vegetable or forest field increased the environmental risk of HMs. Our results may help better decision making in agricultural restructuring to reduce the risk of HM-contaminated soils, as well as give a demonstration for the application of the MSM in predicting the phytoavailability of HMs as a powerful technique.
