With electro-mobility, the demand for charging services is increasing. In Germany alone, the Federal Ministry for Digital Affairs and Transport required for at least 843,000 new charging stations by 2030. Charging service is key for electro-mobility and requires a new innovative technology for the future. Plug and Charge (PnC) enables easy, convenient, and secure charging process compared in existing technologies (RFID, SMS, or App). This secure and convenient charging process is based on digital certificates from PnC ecosystem. Today, validation of certificates between electric vehicle (EV) and charging station (EVSE) in PnC ecosystem is very simple. For the future, there are many new requirements for PnC ecosystem from new standard (ISO 15118-20), Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection, new certificates (V2G root CAs) and new Pool&Service (e.g., Root Certificate Pool). This will make the validation of certificates between EV and EVSE more and more difficult. These new and existing requirements are identified, analyzed and evaluated here. With this article, for the first time, these requirements are derived on entire PnC ecosystem, on cloud components (e.g., MO) and on individual functions (e.g., mTLS, certificate authentication, and authorization). From these requirements, a three-level solution (1-EV, 2-PKI, and 3-Cloud components (e.g., MO, CPO)) is generated. These three level solutions enable successful validation of the certificate with or without interoperability of the certificate. Benefits from EV (Electric vehicles) and e-mobility include the reduction of local emissions of pollutants from particulate matter (PM0.5, PM5, and PM10) and nitrogen oxides (NOx and NO2). Cities and urban agglomerations benefit the most from potential emission reductions from EVs due to the large number of cars utilized in most urban traffic systems. This abstract presents results from a corporate research and funding project in Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany (LINOx BW) which facilitates the installation of 2358 charging points within 178 different sub-projects in 23 different cities, spanning a period of four years. Utilizing several different survey waves, data about outgoing currents from these publicly funded charging points are gathered. When a grid section is re-energized after an interruption, the load behaviour can be significantly different from normal operation. In this manuscript, the impact of the phenomenon—known as cold load pickup—is investigated by evaluating 31 time series measured after network outages in Austria and Germany. Its impact on power system restoration and the adequacy of the most common type of simplified model for such investigations is assessed by the time domain simulation of a restoration setting involving the parallel operation of conventional and renewable generation. Parameter distributions are provided for the exponential decay and the delayed exponential decay model with the aim of facilitating meaningful consideration of the phenomenon in time domain simulations of power system restoration. The benefits and limitations of these models are assessed by comparison of time domain simulation results using either the normalized raw data, an exponential decay model or a step-wise active power chance to reflect load behaviour. It is shown that using an exponential decay model leads to higher fidelity of simulation results with respect to the resulting steady-state active power sharing among generators than just applying a step-wise power change in the simulation. Abstract: Electric vehicles are commonly seen as one of the alternatives to reduce the oil dependency and the greenhouse gas emissions in the transport sector. The aim of this paper is to evaluate the impact of different electric vehicle charging strategies on the national grid including the storage utilization of electric vehicles (V2G-vehicle to grid). Furthermore, an economic analysis of electric vehicle utilization is performed and the results are compared with the conventional diesel vehicle. To accomplish this aim the availability of passenger cars in Germany to be plugged into the grid showed to be high at any time over the day (>89%), which is advantageous for the V2G concept. The impact of the different electric vehicle charging strategies is investigated by employing three scenarios. The first scenario (unmanaged charging) shows that 1 mil. electric vehicles only impacts slightly on the daily peak electricity demand. In the second scenario (Grid stabilizing storage use) a maximum reductions of grid fluctuations of 16% can be achieved with the use of 1 mil. electric vehicles as storage. The last scenario (profit maximization by power trading) the maximum daily revenues from V2G activities are calculated to be 0.68 EUR2009. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
