Abstract

The article focuses on a study carried out to analyze the structural and functional features of sequences from Hepatitis C virus (HCV) non-structural 5A (NS5A) genotypes using in silico tools. It states that the sequences were obtained from patients in Brazil who showed different responses to Peginterferon (PegIFN) therapy. It mentions that the study showed structure differences between genotypes, and will aid in the development of new drugs and vaccines.
