This article focuses on Millennium Technologies, an automatic identification and data collection (AIDC) value-added reseller (VAR). According to John Templeton, company president, stability is what will help the company survive the current economic crisis and actually grow 10% during the period. The company has invested almost $80,000 in radio frequency identification (RFID) technology. Its typical AS/400 clients are $300 million to $3 billion enterprises that require bar code printers, scanners, wireless printing, handheld devices, wireless local area networks (WLANs), and network switches and routers. The ability to install and configure everything from a WLAN to a handheld is one way in which Millennium obtains new clients and maintains existing ones.
