FREEDOM of speech , *SEXUAL rights , *LGBTQ+ students , *OPEN spaces - Abstract
Freedom of speech is a key way in which sexual and gender politics are contested. Heteroactivism names the ways that these discourses seek to open up space to push back against sexual and gender equalities,We focus on three different countries where distinctive framings about freedom of speech are deployed in diverse ways. Taking a transnational approach that explores interlinkages in discourses that touch down differently in each context, this paper looks at how freedom of speech claims are operative on university campuses in Canada, Australia and Great Britain. In Canada, Professor Jordan Peterson's freedom of speech claims arguably enable transphobic, anti-feminist and anti-LGBT speech. In Australia, university academic Roz Ward's ability to express controversial opinions was attacked because she runs an innovative Safe Schools programme seeking to protect LGBT students. In Great Britain, contesting 'No Platforming' through freedom of speech saw arguments that crossed left/right, progressive/conservative, eventually seeing Peter Tatchell defend discrimination against ideas, but not people. Heteroactivism offers an important frame to understand the pushbacks against sexual and gender rights which are integral to liberal democracies such as those in the UK, Canada and Australia. The results of an analysis of geographic accessibility to the Institutions of Higher Education of the conurbation area Manizales-Villamaría is presented. Local administration seeks to strengthen its vision of University City, to transforming it as one of the most important higher studies areas in Colombia. Geostatistical analysis techniques are applied as an urban planning instrument, which allow concluding that there exists inequitable geographical accessibility. It was found that comparing the transit mode with the private mode, the first one have unfavorable operating conditions, and an additional average travel time of up to 80% must be invested in comparison with the private transport mode. The analysis shows that more than 50% of the population moves to some of the educational centers in a travel time of less than 20 minutes. This indicates that, despite the inequality, there is a moderate coverage of transportation to the higher education institutions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

FLEXIBLE pavements , *PUBLIC transit , *FATIGUE cracks , *COLLEGE campuses , *PAVEMENTS , *BUS transportation - Abstract
This research aims to evaluate the occurring distresses on flexible pavements subjected to the traffic of public transportation by bus in a university campus located in the north of Parana. Thus, objective surveys based on evaluations of the distresses in roads submitted to this type of traffic were carried out, according to the FHWA distress identification manual and the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method. The surveys were carried out in two stages, the first one occurred in 2015, and the second one in 2017. The distresses surveyed in both steps were compared to each other to analyze their progressions. It was concluded from the research that the deteriorations that showed a remarkable increase in the evolution were fatigue cracking, ravelling and weathering, the latter being a highlight in the results of the surveys in 2017. - Abstract
We present the bird diversity of the Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Mexico-El Cerrillo campus in Toluca de Lerdo, Mexico State. Bird inventory was realized through transects with point counts inside the campus and surroundings. A total of 141 bird species were recorded, the greatest species richness were terrestrial birds (107), and the rest were species with aquatic and semiaquatic habits (34). Of the total species, four are listed under some risk status in NOM-059-Semarnat-2010. Bird diversity recorded on campus suggests that this area represents an important source of food resources, as nesting area by resident species and well as passage site by migratory species. - Abstract
The present work aims to report the results of the process of transformation and self - transformation of the agents involved who participated in extensionist actions. In order to do so, we present here three cases that were selected among the extension actions that took place in a University Campus of the Uberlândia Federal University of eminently technological character (engineering and biotechnology) and the actions manage to involve approximately 70 students distributed in three different cases: Casa Lar Meninas dos Olhos de Deus, Lar de Idosas Euripides Barsanulfo and Lar Vicentino Padre Alaor; all located in the Municipality of Patos de Minas, in the state of Minas Gerais / Brazil. The results pointed to the identification of three types of transformations. The first transformation was related to the results identified in the target audience and organizations participating in the cases. The second transformation is related to the students "self-transformation process, which was initially verified by the students" understanding of the difference between care and extension, followed by the need for involvement, commitment and learning about dialogicity present in the planning and design process of an extension project. The third and final transformation is related to the beginning of the debate about the need for the Campus to create and implement an extension agenda that meets the most important and relevant social demands of the community that surrounds it. The Federal University of Uberlândia (in Portuguese Universidade Federal de Uberlândia - UFU), while dealing with environmental issues in the academic and administrative areas since the decade of 1990, performed some environmental actions disjointed and without an environmental management system. But this scenario begins to change. In 2011 it is established the Directorate of environmental sustainability and the drafting of a proposal for environmental policy for academic and administrative activities which are related to the environment and sustainability. The present work rescues the main theoretical and conceptual integration of environmental issues in higher education institutions and presents previous and current contributions of the UFU, as well the process of creation of the Directorate of environmental sustainability and the development of projects, socializing the difficulties, challenges and achievements for implementation of environmental management at this University. The present investigation presents and tests the potential of technologies for collecting and processing information in space management. Taking as a starting point the urban space of the university campus of Azurém, in a process of progressive approximation (from the Azurém campus to the EAAD bar), we seek to present and test sensory devices that contribute to a greater knowledge of space. Devices that collect a vast set of information that reveal dynamics and qualities of space that are difficult to register from more conventional analysis and representation processes. The analysis and study of these technological means begins with the scale of the city, where we seek to understand the methods of interaction that are already recurrent in them, their functions and particularities. After this research, taking the Azurém campus as a case of study and intervention, the integration of these media is tested in a specific space of the School of Architecture, Art and Design (EAAD) building, allowing to capture and process fundamental data for its characterization. space. Simultaneously, the production of drawings representing the information collected constitutes a fundamental experience in sharing knowledge with the community. The experience developed at EAAD is based on the use of devices that are based on accessible, low-cost electronic components. Based on the use of microcontrollers that are sometimes open source that allow experimenting with different types of uses. It is a vast set of accessible devices that allow obtaining relevant information for the understanding of architectural spaces at the most diverse scales, which may be decisive in the maintenance and transformation strategies that may be developed. The work reinforces the understanding of the contribution of digital technologies to the knowledge of the spaces we inhabit. Its integration into architectural practices translates into an expansion of the tools accessible to designers, and will allow for reinforcing the relevance of architectural responses and, consequently, the ability of architecture to improve the quality of life of a given community.

SUSTAINABLE architecture , *COLLEGE campuses , *ARCHITECTURE & the environment , *SUSTAINABLE development , *HIGHER education , *HYDROLOGY - Abstract
The sustainability of the planet requires a significant change in the way we relate to the environment. In this context, the great challenge is to move from discourse to practice. Universities, which are responsible for educating future professionals and researchers, should take a leadership position in this process. However, the fragmentation of knowledge into isolated areas or departments does not contribute to the implementation of these relevant changes. The process of developing a regenerative project for the main campus of Santa Catarina University in Brazil relates directly to the debate on the role of the physical space of universities as a pedagogical instrument for the resilience of ecosystems. The design concept arose from the analyses and propositions of graduate students from different disciplines. They aim to develop clear proposals in which nature's dynamics and cycles positively contribute to the quality of learning and vice versa. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article analyzes the characteristics of free spaces that encourage copresence, interaction and diversity of user profiles, in eight selected locations at the main campus of the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil. The research adopted quantitative and qualitative methods to explore the potential of configuration and spatial organization in creating educational areas that produce informal encounters. Data were collected through systematic observation, which generated behavioral maps, and through the application of questionnaires, which gathered information about diversity and the reasons for using each location. The study shows that the areas with the highest intensity of copresence and interaction are the spaces close to the academic services. They are well-configured spatially and have high values in both the local syntactic measures of "integration" and "choice". Regarding the variable "diversity", the measure of "global choice" was able to capture the diversity in spaces located between academic centers, while the diversity among courses was best obtained through the measures of "local choice", "global integration" and "local integration", in that order. - Abstract
A cognitive or mental map corresponds to the mental image of a certain space used by people on their daily life. It is a basic component of human adaptation to the environment and determining the spatial behaviour. The purpose of this research was to study the mental representations of Gambelas Campus (University of Algarve) and its spatial perception. The participants, 108 regular users of Gambelas Campus (students, teachers and staff) were asked to draw the Campus and answer a questionnaire concerning the environmental perception. Mental maps were analysed according to the spatial typologies represented. As expected, results showed that constructed elements of the landscape are the main elements structuring the space. However, for half of the Campus users, vegetation appeared as a spatial element in their mental representation of this space. In fact, the Campus is located in an area of high ecological importance, with green natural areas and vegetation surrounding every building and road. Therefore, the sample has been divided into two groups - mental maps with vegetation and mental maps without vegetation - in order to explore differences between groups in spatial perception, i.e. visual perceived attributes, perceived mobility, place identity and anthropomorphism. Results should be useful for promoting the quality of this humanized environment in the future. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The expansion of the urban dispersion model of the economic activity and service centers, has reduced proximity trips and increased the needs of people to travel to carry out daily tasks such as work, studies, shopping, leisure activities, among others. The campus of the University of the Balearic Islands was part of a trend to increase distances between different land uses, which began in Mallorca in the 1970s. In February 2017, we carried out a survey on mobility habits within the university community (Survey of Mobility Habits of the University Community), to identify the differences in relation to access to the campus. The aim of this article is to obtain information on those travels, as well as the needs of all their members, within the framework of sustainability.

The architectural heritage of the University of Alcalá is a unique case of study. Its conception, development, and implementation, as well as the academic concepts and policies that determined its architectural model are the result of a complex balance between conservation-restoration, contemporary intervention, and new architecture. The works undergone by the University of Alcalá are not easy to catalog and although many of them weren ́t successful either, they make up a unique architectural corpus, embedded both within the historical fabric of the city (city campus), and beyond (scientific and technological campus). The combination of both operations and their volume and scale have produced a series of university architectural interventions unparalleled in the recent Spanish educational scene. This article develops a critical review of them, in the context of a change of paradigm due to continuous economic and social crises.

In the world, there is a latent loss of tree species affecting ecosystems. In Costa Rica, the prohibition decrees that ban the exploitation of some species of trees are the first actions taken by the State to try to save them from their possible extinction. The general objective of this article is to analyze the prohibited-use species in Costa Rica located at Rodrigo Facio campus. Methodologically, an inventory took place at this site that identified all native trees and their respective spatial location in plans, including banned-use species. An analysis was elaborated for each of these species, based on legislation, background, and bibliographic sources. As results found, of the eighteen species of prohibited-use trees, six are located on this campus: five classified as critically endangered, and one as a vulnerable species. A map was developed with their respective location, alongside landscape management recommendations. An analysis of each species was carried out according to its ecologicalimportance, phenology, design characteristics, and use given at the university, plus a map of these species with their natural distribution in the botanical regions of Costa Rica. In conclusion, these trees are part of the university's natural heritage, where the dissemination of their importance should be promoted, along with a landscape protection plan. The study of these species is fundamental to make decisions for territorial planning of both the university and the country.

The sexual assault on the university campus is an urgent social problem, which is increasingly recognized, and it is extremely important to develop prevention and intervention strategies. Fear and shame often dominate both women and men and this fact leads to not presented complaints, but, in otherwise, this traumatic event leaves severe marks physically and psychologically and socially. This phenomenon is widely debated in the United States of America, however, in Portugal, it is still an understudied topic. In that way, this study aims to develop a critical analysis to characterize this phenomenon, its consequences and to analyse the effectiveness of prevention and intervention programs. To support this study, a review of the literature and a themed analysis were carried out with real testimonies, using the documentary “The Hunting Ground” as basis.

This article seeks to further our knowledge of the university campus by focusing on one particular aspect of most UK campuses: the students’ union. UK students’ unions have rarely been the subject of scholarly attention, despite them now occupying an important place within the higher education landscape. Nevertheless, in this paper we draw on a UK-wide study of students’ unions to explore, firstly, the role played by the buildings of the students’ union and, secondly, the ways in which aspects of the university’s campus influence union activity. We pay particular attention to the expansion of the university campus, in many institutions, from a single site to multiple sites, both within the UK and overseas. We contend that a focus on the materiality of the students’ union and the level of union activity (or inactivity) across various campus spaces can illustrate the values, ideologies and power relations that dominate contemporary British higher education. At different times the periphery has offered empty space and room to move. The drive to expand, to the colonies of the New World and now to the edges of crowded cities, was associated with an image of the future free from previous existences, very different from the reality of the centers, where the present of things past, things present and things future inescapably shapes the architecture.

[EN] In the year 1972, the architects Juan Castañón Fariña, José María Laguna Martínez, and Rodolfo Ucha Donate presented their project of the University Campus of A Coruña. They concluded a process initiated by the Barrié de la Maza Foundation in the previous decade to establish a School of Architecture in the North West of Spain. With the assistance and consultancy of American architects John W. McLeod and Raymond Caravaty, the proposal included three buildings for higher education: One school destined for Technical Architecture studies, one for the school of Architecture, and another for University College. Together these created a University Campus for Technical studies. Nevertheless, the School of Architecture was never built in the way that it was initially conceived. Instead, the authors fully modified the initial approach consisting of just one model to both buildings, which finally envisaged the School of Architecture generated from an individual volume that responds to a compositional and structural internal order.

Several factors influence daily mobility practices. Among them, the feeling of insecurity related to urban violence stands out for its ability to directly influence travel behavior. Using an empirical analysis of the trips made by university students in Rio de Janeiro, this research focuses on the perception of risk associated with ordinary violence and its effects on daily practices. To achieve this aim, a mixed research method was applied with quantitative and qualitative interviews carried out with students and authorities responsible for the UFRJ "college city". The results show a widespread feeling of insecurity in transport spaces with violent robberies proving to be one of the main causes of this phenomenon. Women and higher income classes showed a greater perception of risk, particularly among car users. Furthermore, this thesis examined transit places and three different urban forms that increase the feeling of insecurity. At the collective level, a strong repercussion of the problem in social and traditional media was found, as well as a convergence of practical responses in the short term from most public actors.; Plusieurs facteurs influencent les pratiques de mobilité quotidienne.

A deeper understanding of sustainability calls for a profound transformation of university program curriculums. The purpose of this review was to examine how the adoption of sustainability has been explored in Mexican universities, and to identify its progress and challenges. Articles published in nine Mexican journals whose content refers to sustainability and environmental education, the environment or environmental management within higher education in Mexico was reviewed. Three of these reviews were the dimensions considered to address sustainability in the university: comprehensive university, integrated university and inclusive university. The results obtained showed that the most solid advances were made in the first two dimensions; This is reflected in the sustainability of the curriculum and the greening of the campus. Likewise, it was determined that the main challenges lie in the "inclusive university" dimension, specifically, in the lack of construction of a political agenda for sustainability by the university authorities., La sustentabilidad llama a una transformación profunda de la universidad.

The client’s long-term perspective has made it possible to implement this university campus project over a period of 15 years. That same confident perspective has given the city a public square that is also the central space of the university; in the relationship between the institution and its city there is a clear commitment that goes beyond what happens in classrooms, laboratories and library.

The habitat loss has threatened the urban avifauna of the Great Metropolitan Area (GMA) of Costa Rica, although university campuses and urban parks serve as a reservoir for hundreds of species. We present a preliminary list of the birds of the Recinto de Paraíso Campus of the University of Costa Rica (UCR), which we generated through census by intensive search and application of citizen science (2015-2018). We detected 120 species (17 orders, 37 families, 94 genera) and a hybrid on campus. We compared our list against others on the UCR campus and urban areas of the GMA through a cluster analysis (Jaccard Index, simple linkage). The Recinto de Paraíso encompass more than half of the richness registered for the Sede Central UCR, and more species than the Sede de Occidente (UCR) and other sites compared. The similarity between the richness of the Recinto de Paraíso versus the other sites was at least 40%. The city of Paraíso presents biogeographical and landscape conditions conducive to a rich bird fauna, but some of its ecosystems are compromised. The UCR must conserve its wetlands and forest fragments, and implement green design, to protect the diversity of birds on its campuses.

--- Hélio Duarte is most recognized for or school architecture, especially for his projects and for the coordination of the production of the Convênio Escolar in São Paulo. However, little is known about his projects of campuses and university buildings, despite the significant amount, and look at this production allows the reading of the architect’s pedagogical concepts and his views about the urban planning. The study of the projects of the university cities, makes possible to develop analysis that go beyond the field of architecture, since its program reveals the ambitions of a society, translates ideologies and allows us to move forward in other disciplinary fields. In the case of campuses, for being public facilities of national importance, the urban ideals can be investigated from the dialogues with the socioeconomic and cultural context on the horizon of the manifestation of a policy determined by the State, thus their studies allow amplify the complexity of the analysis.

ABSTRACT Water conservation is a matter of great importance. It is directly linked to the quality of life of society and the economic growth of cities. In this context, water saving plumbing fixtures are an option for reduction of consumption in buildings. This study aims to assess whether the replacement of ordinary plumbing fixtures with water saving ones in a University campus has an influence on water consumption. Besides the replacement of the plumbing fixtures, the influence of other variables such as temperature and number of students is analysed. Water meters were installed in one of the campus buildings in order to measure the isolated consumption in toilets, taps, urinals and drinking fountains. The study was divided in two stages: metering before the intervention and after the replacement of ordinary equipment with water saving devices (lavatory taps and toilets) and adjust of drinking fountains flow. For statistical analysis, a multiple linear regression model was used with consumption as the dependent variable and plumbing fixture replacement, number of students and daily temperature as the explanatory variables. The results show that the replacement of taps was significant for the total daily water consumption in the building, with 19.77% of reduction. According to an individual analysis of the plumbing fixtures, the replacement proved to be significant for the reduction of water consumption.

Noise pollution is considered an environmental problem on several university campuses. The excessive noise can compromise the academic performance of users. Thus, this work aims to identify the influence of the sound pressure level of the campus of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) on the perception and behavior of users within the environments. This study was carried out by using on-site measurements collected on the external areas and in the internal environments across the campus and the results were compared to recommendations from national and international standards. In addition, the design strategies adopted in the campus project that promote noise mitigation were identified and evaluated. Questionnaires were also applied to a sample of 626 participants in order to assess their experiences and perceptions regarding noise on the campus. The results indicate that the institution's noise is not suitable for an educational area, since 81% of the points measured in the external environment exceeded that recommended by the Brazilian standard NBR 10.151 and 50% of the points exceeded the less restricted limits of the World Health Organization (WHO). In the indoor environments analysed, 100% of the measured points reached sound pressure levels above that recommended by WHO and by the national NBR 10.152 standard. Despite this, 46% of the volunteers say they are not disturbed by the existing sound, making noise pollution unnoticed by the population. The application of distance from the road to the building and the application of slopes for the unevenness of buildings in relation to the road (both with the use of surfaces with a high sound absorption rate materials) were identified as design strategies that contribute to the mitigation of noise on the campus. However, it is concluded that these strategies are still not enough to ensure indices of environmental acoustic quality at the institution, recommended by Brazilian NBR 10.151 and WHO recommendations.

The paper aims to illustrate the suitability of the quays of Batería and Calvo Sotelo for implementing an “innovative” use in the Port of A Coruña: the sustainable Campus of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) of the Universidade da Coruña (UDC). This is an unprecedented activity in the most recent port transformations that implies setting the qualities of the place. The methodological approach comprises four steps. First, the paper analyses the urbanisation models mostly applied in the regeneration strategies of port areas. Second, it defines the case study of A Coruña. Specifically, the research analyses the quays of Batería and Calvo Sotelo, and their evolution over time through the comparison of historical and present cartographies. Third, the study reviews the University archives for identifying the campus model that the UDC proposes in the urban framework. Finally, the research determines a set of sustainability dimensions and associates them with specific parameters of the port area. These dimensions are established in accordance with diverse studies and guides on sustainable university campuses. In summary, the methodology allows us to identify the potential of port areas for hosting university uses.In the last decade of the 20th century, almost the entire coastline of the Municipal Term of A Coruña is regenerated, with the exception of those areas corresponding to the Port of the city. In that moment, different port activities are transferred from the inner harbour to the outer port area of Punta Langosteira, in the municipality of Arteixo. As a consequence, two port areas of about 6.40 hectares -the quays of Batería and Calvo Sotelo- are released. This relocation allows to complete the city waterfront. But moreover, it provides an opportunity to analyse the suitability of the Port for hosting a University research campus linked to ICT. A complementary use with the ones developed in the urban area, and also with the fishing and tourist activities that respectively take place in the quays of Linares Rivas and A Palloza, and of Trasatlánticos. With the objective to assess the implementation of this new model, the research analyses a series of existing projects focused on port regeneration, both at national and international levels. Then, it develops a historical approach to the place and contextualises the University in the urban framework of A Coruña. Finally, the notion of sustainability is incorporated as a key element for a balanced development of the port; and its dimensions are connected with specific parameters of the maritime area. The historical dimension is associated with the identity; the cultural dimension, with the recognisability and the complementarity; and the environmental dimension, with the accessibility and the urban mobility. The study also explores the social dimension of the University, which is reflected in the so-called third mission: the transfer (of knowledge) to society. This transfer resides not just in the teaching and research activities that characterise the academic institution, but also in its ability to become a reference of sustainability. The study establishes a series of qualities that confirm the potential of the quays of Batería and Calvo Sotelo as a sustainable technological pole. The first quality refers to the unique identity of the area, provided by the sedimentation of the different historical layers. The second quality -the recognisable nature of the place- appreciates the heritage value of the various buildings located in the port. The third quality alludes to the complementarity of the diverse existing uses in the adjacent maritime spaces. Finally, the fourth quality addresses the location of the port area, which promotes pedestrian accessibility and the use of sustainable mobility options. Moreover, social and economic transfer reinforces the connection between the port and the University, in a symbiosis that emphasizes the urban character of the port, and also encourages the presence of the University in the city. Our reflection is addressed to the public administrations that are involved in the subject: Autoridad Portuaria de A Coruña, Ayuntamiento de A Coruña, Ministerio de Fomento and UDC.

This research deals with the analysis of density, building shape and spatial configuration, applied on a university campus, in order to achieve a new reading of space. Such criteria, little investigated in campuses analysis are explored by the Spacemate / Spacematrix method, through a quantitative-qualitative approach, applied as a tool capable of diagnosing these characteristics on campus. The analytical application was applied on campus I of the Federal University of Paraiba, in the city of João Pessoa, Brazil. Compared to small urban centers for being provided with an infrastructure network, campuses have been the subject of study regarding the application of design principles linked to sustainability through the implementation of environmental management systems, sustainable buildings and the use of space analysis as a tool to investigate the mobility and quality of life of local users. Thus, it is possible to contribute to the study corpus by adopting a little explored research axis. The results of the analysis reveal a formal configuration equivalent to urban areas with low utilization rates, low-profile buildings and wide-open spaces. Therefore, it is possible to establish a relationship between elements that promote the sustainability of the city, such as density, building shape and spatial configuration, within a scenario of university campuses, in addition to promoting the continuity of a more in-depth study under the mentioned aspects.

The objective is to promote the students’ appropriation of the campus space, the socio-environmental conflicts, and the concepts of socio-ecological systems. Through discussion and the use of aerial images, bibliographical information, journalistic notes, photographs and the narration of a member of the University Campus Community Plant Nursery, landscape changes and its uses are historically reconstructed. The work has led to the identification of different actors involved, a spatial visualization of the uses they make of space, and the identification of conflicts. This didactic and technical tool has proven to be a valuable device to facilitate dialogue among different actors., Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Educación

ABSTRACT: When, in the 1960s, Brazilian universities adopted the campus model, there was a need to create technical offices responsible for its construction. In this article, we intend to show the performance of these technical teams in campus design and construction. It is a very complex task, involving many professionals of varied backgrounds, technical and academic, with several decision and authorization instances. We choose as an example the technical office of the Federal University of São Carlos, UFSCar, called the Physical Development Office, EDF. As sources, in addition to knowledge gained in more than a decade of research in this subject, we used a general and another more specific bibliography, aimed at the study of these offices.

Abstract Universities, directly or indirectly, have an impact on the environment through the consumption of water, energy, generation of waste and occupation of green areas. This study aimed to perform a diagnosis of water and energy consumption, waste generation, and management of green areas in the UnB Planaltina Faculty/Federal District, to propose a sustainable management strategy. For that, water and energy consumption (2006 to 2017), qualitative and quantitative characterization of solid residues (2015-2016) and phytosociological study of the green areas of the campus were analyzed. The results indicate that water and energy consumption are increasing since the inauguration of the campus in 2006, due to the expansion of the number of servers, students and built areas. From the solid waste produced, 67% is recyclable. The phytosociological study indicated high biological diversity of Cerrado restricted sense. Among the indicated strategies for management is the adoption of programs for the efficient use of water and energy, and the implementation of selective collection with destination of the recyclables to collectors cooperatives. In the green areas, it is recommended their preservation and conservation. Future expansions of the campus should occur in more degraded areas, such as Cerrado restricted sense, to reduce suppression of vegetation cover.
