Gestacijski dijabetes javlja se prvi puta u trudnoći te je karakteriziran poremećenom tolerancijom glukoze u krvi. Patofiziologija gestacijskog dijabetesa je kompleksna, a etiologija je još u fazi ispitivanja te nije u potpunosti razjašnjena. The diagnosis is based on evoked potentials, magnetic resonance and lumbar puncture, and the most important part of the treatment is rehabilitation and physical therapy. The most important goal of rehabilitation is to achieve independence and use the remaining physical capabilities to prevent immobility. The rehabilitation process is aimed both at improving activities and educating patients and families about the prevention of possible complications and the use of medical aids that can improve patients' independence from the help of another person in activities of daily life. Rehabilitation procedures that are carried out for people suffering from multiple sclerosis are movement therapy, stretching exercises, breathing exercises, balance exercises, Frenkel's coordination exercises and pelvic floor muscle exercises. Different mechanisms of rupture are known, and the most common situations are when the knee receives a blow from the side, during a sudden stop with rotation of the upper body around the lower leg, or during landing. Diagnostics begins with taking anamnestic data, followed by a detailed clinical examination during which clinical tests such as the front drawer test, varus and valgus stress test, Lachman test are used, and magnetic resonance or arthroscopy are used as a final confirmation. Treatment can be conservative or surgical, which is most often performed in active athletes. The arthroscopic method of anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction is the standard in surgical treatment. Good cooperation between the patient and all members of the rehabilitation team, including the physiotherapist, is of crucial importance. If surgical treatment is planned, preoperative rehabilitation is necessary to achieve faster and better recovery after surgery. The main goals of the rehabilitation and physiotherapy approach are aimed at restoring the functional state of the patient in all his activities before the injury. Physiotherapy procedures include cryotherapy, hydrotherapy procedures, electrotherapy procedures, postisometric relaxation, proprioception exercises and the kinesio taping method.

Liječenje cerebralne paralize provodi se na multidisciplinaran način koji obuhvaća operacijsko i medikamentozno liječenje, fizioterapiju, radnu terapiju i logopedski tretman. U fizioterapiji koriste se specifične tehnike poput Bobath koncepta, Vojta terapije, Halliwick koncepta i hipoterapije. Primjena Bobath koncepta u fizioterapiji oboljelih jedan je od najpoznatijih pristupa u liječenju cerebralne paralize. Osnovni cilj primjene koncepta je poboljšanje motoričke kontrole oboljelih u aktivnostima svakodnevnog života, č̌ ime se poboljšava funkcija i sudjelovanje pacijenta u svakodnevnim životnim aktivnostima. Bobath koncept koristi se u evaluaciji i liječenju svih pacijenata s poremećajima kretanja i posturalne kontrole bez obzira na težinu njihove kliničke slike. Glavna načela koncepta su inhibicija, facilitacija i stimulacija pokreta te se na temelju navedenih načela provodi fizioterapijska intervencija. Bitno je terapiju započeti što ranije kako bi njezin ishod bio što kvalitetniji za pacijenta i njegovu obitelj. Cerebral palsy is a non-progressive developmental motor disorder of movement and position caused by diseases or injuries of the central motor neuron. The clinical manifestation of cerebral palsy is different for each patient, and the symptoms depend on the part of the brain that is affected, the time of onset, and somewhat less on the cause itself. The main feature of each clinical manifestation is a motility disorder. Regarding the symptomatology, cerebral palsy can be spastic, hypotonic or extrapyramidal in nature. Along with the movement disorder, there are also disorders of muscle tonus, balance, motor control, slow development of motor skills and muscle weakness. Knowledge of the child's normal psychomotor development is extremely important for early detection of deviations. When observing psychomotor development, it is necessary to pay attention to the involvement of the body and its asymmetry. It is observed which side of the body is affected, the position of the arms, legs, head and trunk. Diagnosis of cerebral palsy is based on diagnostic tests, laboratory tests and additional tests for hearing, vision, speech and intellectual abilities. The treatment of cerebral palsy is carried out in a multidisciplinary manner, which includes surgical and medicinal treatment, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. Physiotherapy uses specific techniques such as the Bobath concept, Vojta therapy, Halliwick concept and hippotherapy. The application of the Bobath concept in the physiotherapy of patients is one of the most well-known approaches in the treatment of cerebral palsy. The basic goal of applying the concept is to improve motor control of patients in activities of daily life, thereby improving the patient's function and participation in daily life activities. The Bobath concept is used in the evaluation and treatment of all patients with disorders of movement and postural control, regardless of the severity of their clinical picture. The main principles of the concept are inhibition, facilitation and stimulation of movement, and physiotherapy intervention is carried out on the basis of these principles. It is important to start therapy as early as possible so that its outcome is as good as possible for the patient and his family.

Trudnoća obuhvaća razdoblje života svake žene u trajanju od 40 tjedana, 280 dana ili 9 kalendarskih mjeseci uz rast i razvoj fetusa u trbuhu majke i rođenje djeteta novorođenčeta. U pripremi trudnica za porod postoje razni stručni tečajevi koji će pomoći trudnici za primjenu određenog oblika fizičke pripreme prema njenom trenutnom stanju. Od velikog značaja tome pridonose fizioterapeuti ili edukatori koji će pridavati pažnju trudnicama tijekom vježbanja, tehnikama pravilnog disanja, samopomoći prije, tijekom i nakon poroda uz smanjenje stresa da porod prođe što lakše i bezbolnije. U ovom radu objašnjeni su mehanizmi porođaja po porođajnim dobima kao i fiziološke i anatomske promjene u trudnoći. Fizioterapijska procjena temelji se prema SOAP modelu iz kojeg se procjenjuje subjektivni pregled koji se dobiva anamnezom trudnice i objektivni pregled uz opservaciju pojedinih segmenata tijela, palpaciju kože i mekih tkiva te procjenu funkcije prsnog koša, trbuha i zdjelice. Također se veliki naglasak stavlja na apsolutne i relativne kontraindikacije prilikom vježbanja u trudnoći i na znakove za prekid vježbanja. Fizioterapijska intervencija bazira se na tjelesnoj aktivnosti trudnice, tehnikama pravilnog disanja i terapijskom vježbanju kao fizičkoj pripremi trudnice za porođaj. U ovom radu prikazane su i opisane vježbe po svakom tromjesečju. U prvom tromjesečju program vježbi uključuje aktivaciju muskulature trupa, vježbe za aktivaciju muskulature stabilizatora lopatica i gornjeg dijela trupa, vježbe za aktivaciju muskulature gornjih ekstremiteta, vježbe za aktivaciju muskulature donjih ekstremiteta i vježbe za aktivaciju respiratorne muskulature. Tijekom drugog tromjesečja provode se vježbe za aktivaciju muskulature trupa, vježbe za aktivaciju muskulature stabilizatora lopatica i gornjeg dijela trupa, vježbe za aktivaciju muskulature gornjih ekstremiteta, vježbe za aktivaciju muskulature donjih ekstremiteta, vježbe za aktivaciju muskulature zdjeličnog dna i vježbe za aktivaciju respiratorne muskulature. Of great importance are physiotherapists or educators who will pay attention to pregnant women during exercise, proper breathing techniques, self-help before, during and after childbirth while reducing stress so that childbirth goes as smoothly and painlessly as possible. This paper explains the mechanisms of childbirth by birth age, as well as the physiological and anatomical changes during pregnancy. Physiotherapy evaluation is based on the SOAP model, which evaluates a subjective examination obtained from the pregnant woman's history and an objective examination with observation of individual body segments, palpation of the skin and soft tissues, and evaluation of the function of the chest, abdomen and pelvis. Also, great emphasis is placed on absolute and relative contraindications when exercising during pregnancy and on signs to stop exercising. Physiotherapy intervention is based on physical activity of the pregnant woman, proper breathing techniques and therapeutic exercise as physical preparation of the pregnant woman for childbirth. In this paper, the exercises for each quarter are shown and described. In the first trimester, the exercise program includes trunk musculature activation, shoulder stabilizer and upper body musculature activation exercises, upper limb musculature activation exercises, lower limb musculature activation exercises and respiratory musculature activation exercises. During the second trimester, exercises are carried out for activating the musculature of the trunk, exercises for activating the musculature of the shoulder blades and the upper part of the trunk, exercises for activating the musculature of the upper extremities, exercises for activating the musculature of the lower extremities, exercises for activating the musculature of the pelvic floor and exercises for activating the respiratory musculature. Amiotrofična lateralna skleroza, poznata i pod nazivom bolest motornih neurona te Lou Gehringova bolest, neurodegenerativna je bolest fatalnog ishoda. Također je i jedna od najzagonetnijih bolesti današnje medicine upravo zbog nedostatka informacija o patogenezi i nastanku. Uz Alzheimerovu i Parkinsonovu bolest, amiotrofična lateralna skleroza jedna je od najčešćih neurodegenerativnih bolesti. Pripada u skupinu progresivne bolesti koja uključuje degeneraciju motornog sustava na svim razinama. Kliničke značajke amiotrofične lateralne skleroze jesu gubitak neurona na svim razinama motornog sustava – od moždanog korteksa (kore) do prednjih rogova leđne moždine. Gubitak donjih motornih neurona koji se protežu od leđne moždine do mišića vodi do mišićne slabosti, fascikulacija, grčeva, nepovratnog gubitka tjelesne mase – gubitka masnoća i mišićnog tkiva. Sekundarni ciljevi su izvršenje vrednovanja pacijentovih potreba i medicinskih intervencija, edukacija pacijenta i obitelji, primjena potrebnih terapijskih postupaka te sprječavanje ili ublažavanje posljedica onesposobljenja. Naglasak je na terapiji pokretom, respiratornoj terapiji, hidroterapiji i manualnoj terapiji. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as motor neuron disease and Lou Gehring's disease, is a fatal neurodegenerative disease. It is also one of the most enigmatic diseases of today's medicine precisely because of the lack of information about its pathogenesis and origin. It belongs to the group of progressive diseases that include degeneration of the motor system at all levels. The clinical features of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis are the loss of neurons at all levels of the motor system - from the cerebral cortex to the anterior horns of the spinal cord. Loss of lower motor neurons that extend from the spinal cord to the muscles leads to muscle weakness, fasciculations, cramps, irreversible loss of body mass - loss of fat and muscle tissue. Features of lower motor neuron loss contribute to mortality more than features caused by upper motor neuron loss, which include spasticity, clumsiness, and functional impairment. Due to the relatively rapid progression of the disease, which leads to severe disability, patients have a very short life expectancy after diagnosis. In the treatment of people suffering from this disease, a multidisciplinary approach and the cooperation of the entire healthcare team are needed. Physiotherapy approach to patients consists of subjective and objective individual assessment, development of a plan and physiotherapy interventions. The basic goals of physiotherapy are aimed at improving function, increasing the patient's independence and quality of life. In the terminal phase of ALS, the goal is to relieve symptoms and maintain the best possible quality of remaining life. The primary goal of physiotherapy is to maintain the patient's independence and functioning in activities of daily life. Secondary goals are the evaluation of the patient's needs and medical interventions, the education of the patient and family, the application of the necessary therapeutic procedures and the prevention or mitigation of the consequences of incapacitation. The emphasis is on movement therapy, respiratory therapy, hydrotherapy and manual therapy.

Ankilozantni spondilitis, to jest Morbus Bechterew je progresivna upalna reumatska bolest koja ne zahvaća samo zglobove, već cijeli organizam, a javlja se upalna bol u leđima. Javljaju se promjene na unutarnjim organima, no glavna karakteristika je okoštavanje mekih vezivnih struktura. Kako bolest napreduje, javljaju se i fleksijske kontrakture, a fiziološke krivine prelaze u patološke promjene te oboljeli zauzima „stav skijaša“. Uzroci nastanka bolesti još nisu otkriveni, no postoji povezanost pojave ankilozantnog spondilitisa s prisutnosti antigena HLA-B27 koji je prisutan kod velike većine oboljelih. Spol oboljelog također ima veliku ulogu, stoga što muškarci obolijevaju češće od žena, a prvi znakovi bolesti se najčešće javljaju u ranoj odrasloj dobi. Dijagnoza ankilozantnog spondilitisa postavlja se provođenjem detaljne anamneze i funkcionalnog pregleda. Provode se razne pretrage poput rendgenskih snimki, laboratorijskih pretraga, magnetske rezonance, kompjuterizirane tomografije i dijagnoze na temelju New York kriterija. U rehabilitaciji je važno upoznati oboljelu osobu s prirodom i tijekom bolesti te joj objasniti važnost provođenja vježbi i održavanja pravilne posture. Prije određivanja plana fizioterapije, provode se razni testovi i mjerenja kako bi se ustanovilo da li su prisutne određene karakteristike i ograničenja pokretljivosti kralježnice. Plan se postavlja sukladno ciljevima koji se postavljaju nakon evaluacije, a podrazumijeva terapiju pokretom, hidroterapiju, elektroterapiju, termoterapiju, krioterapiju, terapijski ultrazvuk, dijatermiju te manualnu terapiju. Bolest svakog oboljelog zahvaća drugačije te je iz tog razloga ključno imati individualni pristup svakom pacijentu i raditi plan fizioterapije ovisno o mogućnostima i nemogućnostima oboljelog. Changes occur in the internal organs, but the main characteristic is the ossification of soft connective structures. As the disease progresses, flexion contractures may also appear while the physiological curves of the spine turn into pathological changes, and the patient develops the „skier's stance“. The causes of the disease haven't yet been discovered, but there is a connection between the occurrence of ankylosin spondylitis and the presence of the HLA-B27 antigen, which is present in the vast majority of patients. The gender of the patient also plays a big role, due to men getting diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis more often than women, and the first signs of the disease usually appear in early adulthood. The diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis is established by carrying out a detailed anamnesis and functional examination. Various tests are performed, such as X-rays, laboratory tests, magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography and diagnosis based on the New York criteria. While in rehabilitation, the very education of the patient is important, therefore it is important to familiarize him with the nature of the disease and explain to him the importance of carrying out exercises and maintaining correct posture. Before determining a physiotherapy plan, various tests and measurements are carried out to determine whether certain characteristics and limitations of spinal mobility are present. The plan is set according to the goals set after the evaluation and includes movement therapy, hydrotherapy, electrotherapy, thermotherapy, cryotherapy, therapeutic ultrasound, diathermy and manual therapy. The disease affects each patient differently, and for this reason it is crucial to have an individual approach to each patient and work out a physitherapy plan depending on the patient's possibilities and inabilities.

Reumatoidni artritis (RA) predstavlja kroničnu upalnu, progresivnu i autoimunu bolest koja se bazira na zahvaćanje lokomotornog sustava i koja je popraćena sa fazama remisije i egzacerbacije. Valja naglasiti kako su na prvom mjestu zahvaćeni zglobovi, a s protekom vremena, vidljiva su i veća oštećenja i unutar i izvan zglobova što u konačnici rezultira sa invaliditetom te izuzetno niskom kvalitetnom života za oboljelog kao i niskom stopom njegove samostalne funkcionalnosti. Uspostava rane dijagnoze može znatno utjecati na progresiju bolesti u pozitivnom smislu za pacijenta. Postoji veliki spektar različitih metoda liječenja ove specifične bolesti, ali ovisi o stupnju oboljenja. S obzirom na to postoje dva principa liječenja od onih jednostavnijih, konzervativnih do, u težim slučajevima, kirurških metoda liječenja. Rad fizioterapeuta kod reumatoloških bolesnika sve je samo ne zanemariv. Postoje manualne tehnike, razgibavanja, razne vježbe, manipulacije tkiva, elektroterapija itd. te sve te metode itekako pomažu u suzbijanju i progresiji ove bolesti. Establishing an early diagnosis can significantly affect the progression of the disease in a positive sense for the patient. There is a wide range of different methods of treatment for this specific disease, but it depends on the degree of the disease. With this in mind, there are two principles of treatment, from simpler, conservative ones to, in more severe cases, surgical treatment methods. The work of physiotherapists with rheumatological patients is anything but negligible. There are manual techniques, stretches, various exercises, tissue manipulation, electrotherapy, etc., and all these methods really help in the suppression and progression of this disease.

Rameni zglob najpokretljiviji je zglob u ljudskom tijelu te je zbog toga vrlo nestabilan. Struktura koja stabilizira rame je rotatorna manšeta. Ona se sastoji od mišića: nadgrebenog mišića (lat. m. supraspinatus), podgrebenog mišića (lat. m. infraspinatus), podlopatičnog mišića (lat. m. supscapularis) i malog oblog mišića (lat. m. teres minor). Sindrom rotatorne manšete najviše imaju ljudi koji se bave svakodnevno poslovima koji zahtijevaju korištenje ruku. Kod sindroma rotatorne manšete javlja se bol u ramenom obruču i smanjen je opseg pokreta u samom zglobu ramena. Problemi rotatorne manšete zahvaćaju srednju ili stariju dob, češće žene nego muškarce. Degenerativne promjene započinju već u srednjoj dobi, tetive postaju krute i slabije prokrvljene. U pravilu je uzrok takvih stanja dugotrajna aktivnost sa rukom podignutom iznad glave, ili učestala, ali kratka i snažna aktivnost sa podignutom rukom. Najčešći sportovi koji pridonose oštećenju rotatorne manšete su odbojka, rukomet, plivanje i vaterpolo. Osoba s ozljedom rotatorne manšete osjeća bol preko deltoidnog mišića na vrhu i vanjskoj strani ramena, pogotovo kad je ruka podignuta i ispružena sa strane. Pokreti poput ovih, pogotovo kod odijevanja, mogu biti izrazito bolni. Rame je slabo, pogotovo kad se pokuša podići ruka do horizontalne pozicije. Bol ili slabost kod izvođenja unutarnje ili vanjske rotacije ruke mogu ukazati na oštećenje tetiva rotatorne manžete. Komplikacije koje mogu nastati su rupture rotatorne manšete, kalcificirajući tendinitis, artroza ramena, i luksacije. Procjena bolesnika sa sindromom rotatorne manšete uključuje mjerenje opsega pokreta i manualni mišićni test. Mjerenjem opsega pokreta mjeri se amplituda svih pokreta u ramenu, a manualnim mišićnim testom se ispituje jakost pojedinog mišića. Liječenje se provodi fizikalnom terapijom i terapijom pokretom. The most common sports that contribute to rotator cuff damage are volleyball, handball, swimming and water polo. A person with a rotator cuff injury feels pain over the deltoid muscle at the top and outside of the shoulder, especially when the hand is raised and extended to the sides. Movements like these, especially when dressing, can be extremely painful. The shoulder is weak, especially when trying to raise the hand to a horizontal position. Pain or weakness when performing the internal or external rotation of the hand may indicate damage to the tendons of the rotator cuff. Complications that can arise are rotator cuff ruptures, calcifying tendinitis, shoulder arthrosis, and luxations. The assessment of patients with rotator cuff syndrome includes measuring the range of movement and manual muscle test. By measuring the circumference of movement, the amplitude of all movements in the shoulder is measured, and a manual muscle test examines the strength of a particular muscle. Treatment is carried out by physical therapy and movement therapy. Movement therapy includes static exercises, passive exercises, actively assisted movement, active dynamic exercises, stretching exercises, proprioception exercises and resistance exercises. Diadynamic currents, TENS, ultrasound and laser are used from electrotherapy procedures for the purpose of treatment.

Uzrok nastanka je nepoznat, ali znanstveno je dokazano genetsko nasljeđivanje. Prvi znakovi su ukočenost i bolnost malih zglobova. Zbog progresije bolesti veliki postotak ljudi s reumatoidnim artritisom imaju smanjenu kvalitetu života i smanjene funkcionalne sposobnosti. Zbog svega navedenog ovi bolesnici imaju veliku potrebu za fizikalnom rehabilitacijom. Fizioterapijski proces počinje fizioterapijskom procjenom u kojoj se dokumentiraju subjektivne smetnja bolesnika, a kroz objektivnu procjenu analizira trenutno stanje i potrebe svakog pacijenta individualno. Ovisno o aktivnosti bolesti fizioterapeut pravi plan terapije. Cilj fizikalne rehabilitacije osoba s reumatoidnim artritisom je reduciranje boli, smanjenje otekline i ukočenosti zahvaćenih zglobova, vježbama opsega pokreta preveniraju se deformiteti, poboljšanje funkcionalnog statusa, povećanje mobilnosti i snage kroz svakodnevnu fizičku aktivnost. Nezaobilazni dio fizioterapijske intervencije je edukacija bolesnika i njegove uže obitelji. Ona se sastoji od edukacijo o nošenju ortoza i drugih pomagala samopomoći, pravilne prehrane bogate voćem, povrćem i omega-3 masnim kiselinama, izbjegavanje alkoholnih pića i duhanskih proizvoda te bavljenje aerobnom aktivnosti. The physiotherapy process begins with a physiotherapy assessment in which the patient’s subjective disorders are documented, and through an objective assessment, the current condition and needs of each patient are analyzed individually. Depending on the activity of the disease, the physiotherapist makes a therapy plan. The goal of physical rehabilitation of people with rheumatoid arthritis is to reduce pain, reduce swelling and stiffness of the affected joints, range of motion exercises prevent deformities, improve functional status, increase mobility and strength through daily physical activity. An unavoidable part of the physiotherapy intervention is the education of the patient and his immediate family. It consists of education on wearing orthotics and other self - help aids, proper nutrition rich in fruits, vegetables and omega - 3 fatty acids, avoiding alcoholic beverages and tobacco products, and engaging in aerobic activity.

Reumatoidni artritis (RA) je upalna reumatska bolest koja je najviše vidljiva na lokomotornom sustavu. Još uvijek se nije otkrio pravi uzrok bolesti. Reumatoidni artritis se manifestira kao kronična reumatska upala. Iako postoji nekoliko oblika artritisa najčešće se pojavljuje RA. Bolest varira od blagog oblika kada su zahvaćeni jedan ili dva zgloba pa do težeg oblika kada je zahvaćena većina ili pak svi zglobovi. Kroz povijest nema mnogo zapisa o bolesti te je stalni predmet istraživanja. Uočeno je da je bolest učestalija kod žena nego kod muškaraca. Od ove bolesti obolijeva oko 2% stanovništva te se javlja najčešće između 40. i 50. godine života. Započinje neupadljivim znakovima i teško ju je odmah prepoznati zbog virusne ili bakterijske infekcije ili ozljede koje su prethodile. Glavnina imunološke upale događa se u sinovijalnom tkivu. Klinički znakovi poput boli, zakočenosti i otekline zahvaćaju male zglobove šaka i stopala, a najčešće dovode do razaranja zglobova, hrskavice pa i susjedne kosti. U konačnici može doći do teške invalidnosti kao i sistemskog oštećenja ostalih dijelova tijela i organa. Postoji i ne mali broj slučajeva sa smrtnim ishodom. Klinička slika bolesti se može odvijati na zahvaćenim zglobovima ili pak na izvanzglobnoj zahvaćenosti. Za dijagnostiku RA se koriste kliničke pretrage, anamneza, rendgenske i laboratorijske pretrage. Rana dijagnoza postavljena na temelju kliničke slike, upalnih, seroloških i imunogenetskih parametara te radiološke procjene put je k uspješnom liječenju bolesnika. U cjelokupni proces važno je uključiti liječnika primarne zaštite, reumatologa, ortopeda, fizikalnu terapiju i okupacijsku terapiju. Uz ranu i pravilno postavljenu dijagnozu potrebno je primijeniti lijekove koji utječu na tijek bolesti. Kod bolesnika s RA potrebno je osigurati kombinaciju farmakološkog i nefarmakološkog liječenja te pojedinačna terapijska sredstva koja se mogu kombinirati. Lijekovi koji se koriste dijele se u tri skupine, nesteroidni antireumatici, glukokortikoidi i lijekovi koji mijenjaju tijek bolesti. Najčešća metoda liječenja koja spada u nefarmakološko liječenje je fizikalna terapija. U liječenju bolesnika s RA koriste se elektroterapija, magnetoterapija, krioterapija, parafinska terapija, terapija ultrazvukom, terapija udarnim valom, ultrasonoforeza, laser, hidroterapija, balneoterapija te kineziterapija. Pomagala u rehabilitaciji imaju bitnu ulogu jer smanjuju bolni podražaj i povećavaju sigurnost. Uz pomoć edukacije bolesnika moguće je ukloniti određene faktore rizika. Fizioterapeut ima bitnu ulogu u ostvarivanju ciljeva koji bi bolesniku omogućili napredak. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a rheumatic inflammatory disease which is most visible on the locomotor system. The real cause of the disease has yet to be discovered. Rheumatoid arthritis is manifested as a chronic rheumatic inflammation. Even though there are several forms of arthritis, RA is the most common one. This disease variates from its mild form when there are only one or two joints affected to its more heavier form where most or maybe even all joints are affected. Throughout the history there are not that many documentations of it and it is a constant subject of research. However, it has been detected that the disease mostly affects women rather than men. Just about 2% of human population is infected by it and usually its people between forty and fifty years of age. It starts with unrecognisable signs and its hard to detect it right away because of other viruses, bacterial infections and injuries causing distress to the body. Most of the immune inflammation occurs in the synovial tissue. Clinical signs such as pain, stiffness and swelling alter smaller joints of fists and feet, and they usually lead to destruction of joints, cartilages and nearby bones. Ulitmately it can lead to disablement and systematic damage of organs and other body parts. There is even a small percentage of death caused by RA. The clinical picture of the disease can occur in the affected joints or even in extra-articular involvement. Clinical and laboratory tests, X-rays and amnesis are used for making a diagnosis of RA. Early diagnosis established on the basis of clinical picture, inflammatory, serological and immunogenetic parameters and radiological assessments are the way to a successful treatment of the patient. It is important to include a primary care physician, orthopedist, physical therapy and occupational therapy in the overall process. In patients, it is necessary to provide a combination of pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment and individual therapeutic agents that can be combined. The drugs that are used are divided into three groups, non-steroidal, antirheumatic, glucocorticoid and drugs that change the course of the disease. The most commonly used method of treatment that belongs to non-pharmacological treatment is physical therapy. Electrotherapy, magnetotherapy, cryotherapy, paraffin therapy ultrasound therapy, shock wave therapy, ultrasonophoresis, laser, hydrotherapy, balneotherapy and kinesitherapy are used in the treatment of patients. Aids in rehabilitation play an important role because they reduce the painful stimulus and increase safety. With the help of patient education, it is possible to remove certain risk factors. The physiotherapist plays an important role in achieving goals that would allow the patient to progress.

Biciklizam je vrlo zahtjevan sport u kojem biciklisti puno vremena provode na biciklu. Ozljede se pojavljuju zbog dugotrajnih ponavljajućih pokreta, položaja koji biciklisti zauzimaju ili nesreća koje im se događaju. U anketnom istraživanju prikupljeni rezultati obrađeni su deskriptivnim statističkim metodama. Upitnik je proveden u elektoničkom obliku, te je bio sastavljen od vlastitih pitanja. Cilj istraživanja bio je utvrditi pojavnost ozljeda i stavove prema fizioterapiji kod biciklista na području Hrvatske. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 128 biciklista. Prema rezultatima najčešće ozljede ispitanih biciklista su: prijelomi, oštećenja kože, istegnuća ligamenata i mišića. Cycling is a very demanding sport in which cyclists spend a lot of time on the bike. Injuries occur due to long-term repetitive movements, positions that cyclists take or accidents that occur. The results collected in the survey were processed using descriptive statistical methods. The questionnaire was conducted in electronic form and was composed of own questions. The aim of the research was to determine the occurrence of injuries and attitudes towards physiotherapy among cyclists in Croatia. 128 cyclists participated in the research. According to the results, the most common injuries of the tested cyclists are: fractures, skin damage, ligament and muscle strains.

Cerebralna paraliza je skupina neprogresivnih, ali promjenjivih poremećaja motorike nastalih trajnim oštećenjem mozga. U radu se opisuje neometan motorički razvoj, kako bi mogli shvatiti odstupanja u njemu, odnosno abnormalni motorički razvoj djeteta. Također se opisuju karakteristike i oštećenja do kojih dolazi za sam nastanak dijagnoze cerebralne paralize. Klasifikacijski sustavi najčešće su orijentirani na tonus mišića, dijelove zahvaćenih udova, te na posljetku kod moderne klasifikacije na djetetove funkcionalne sposobnosti na temelju odrađenih testova. Prema SCPE se cerebralna paraliza dijeli na osnovne tipove i njihove pod tipove. Fizioterapijska procjena djeteta je važna za procjenu motoričkih i funkcionalnih sposobnosti, odnosno nesposobnosti djeteta kako bi na temelju toga postavili e ciljevi za određivanje plana terapije. Bitno je u početku prikupiti anamnestičke podatke djeteta, procijeniti djetetovo ponašanje i prema tome dati cjelokupni opći dojam. U dijelu objektivne procjene kroz djetetove izvedbe funkcionalnih aktivnosti procjenjuje mišićni tonus, posturalni obrasci, te u kojim razvojnim fazama dijete zaostaje. Kod procjene funkcionalnih sposobnosti primjenjuju se testovi za daljnju analizu, te evaluaciju. Prije intervencije važno je odrediti djetetove probleme koji mu stvaraju poteškoće i prema tome ciljeve koji bi omogućili izradu plana fizioterapijske intervencije. Opisane su vrste intervencija koje se primjenjuju i koje omogućuju djetetu lakše izvođenje svakodnevnih aktivnosti kako bi bilo što samostalnije. Cerebral palsy is a group of non-progressive but variable motor disorders caused by permanent brain damage. The paper describes undisturbed motor development, so that they can understand deviations in it, i.e. abnormal motor development of the child. It also describes the characteristics and damage that occurs for the diagnosis of cerebral palsy itself. Classification systems are most often oriented to muscle tone, parts of the affected limbs, and finally, in modern classification, to the child's functional abilities based on the tests performed. According to SCPE, cerebral palsy is divided into basic types and their subtypes. Physiotherapy evaluation of the child is important for the assessment of motor and functional abilities, i.e. the child's incapacity, in order to set goals for determining the therapy plan based on this. It is important to initially collect the anamnestic data of the child, assess the child's behavior and, accordingly, give an overall general impression. In the part of the objective assessment, through the child's performance of functional activities, he assesses muscle tone, postural patterns, and in which developmental stages the child lags behind. When assessing functional abilities, tests are applied for further analysis and evaluation. Before the intervention, it is important to determine the child's problems that cause him difficulties and, accordingly, the goals that would enable the creation of a physiotherapy intervention plan. The types of interventions that are applied and which enable the child to carry out everyday activities more easily are described in order to be as independent as possible.

Rame je vrlo bitno za obavljanje primarnih svakodnevnih aktivnosti. Ima površinski male zglobne strukture i zbog toga je najmobilniji zglob u ljudskom tijelu, ali je također podložan ozljedama. Rotatorna manšeta stabilizira zglob ramena u mirovanju, a isto tako za vrijeme pokreta nadlaktice u prostotu. Ruptura rotatorne manšete je ozljeda tetivno mišiće ovojnice koja se sastoji od četiri mišića (m. supraspinatus, m. infraspinatus, m. teres minor i m. subscapularis), a njihova glavna funkcija je stabilizacije glenohumeralnog zgloba kroz pokrete. Bilo kakvo oštećenje ili čak ruptura bitno utječe na funkciju ramenog obruča, pa su tako otežane svakodnevne aktivnosti. Liječiti se može operativno ili konzervativno i ovisi o mnogo čimbenika, a neki od njih su starost, stupanj oštećenja, način života, ciljevi i motivacija. Sam uspjeh fizioterapije povezan je s ranom dijagnostikom oštećenja, lokalizaciji te stupnju oštećenja, tehnici operativnog zahvata, kvaliteti tkiva, očuvanosti snage mišića itd. Cilj ovog rada je prikazati fizioterapijske postupke za konzervativno liječenje rupture rotatorne manšete. The shulder is very important asset for daily activities. It has small structures and because of that shoulder is the most mobile joint of the human body and shoulder is subject to the injuries. Rotator cuff is stabilizing jonit in the rest and also during the movement of the upper ar in space. Rotator cuff rupture is injury of the tendon muscle sheath that is made of four muscles (supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor and subscapularis muscle), and their main task is stabilizing glenohumeral joint. Any kind of damage or rupture mainly affects on function of shoulder, every day functional actions are limited. Treating of the rotator cuff injury can be separated into conservative or operative treatment, depending on a lot of factors, like the size of the rupture, age, lifestyle, goals and motivation. Success of physiotherapy is closely conected with early diagnosis, localization of damage, surgical technique, quality of the tissue etc. The goal of this review is to present physiotherapy recommendations in the conservative treating of the rotator cuff injuries.

Femur je najveća i najjača kost u tijelu i ima dobru opskrbu krvlju, tako da je potrebna velika udarna sila da bi se ova kost slomila. Prijelomi dijafize bedrene kosti uzrokovani su ozljedom visoke energije, kao što je prometna nesreća, osim ako se radi o patološkom prijelomu kod bolesnika s osteoporozom ili metastatskom bolešću. Često su pridružene ozljede kuka, zdjelice, koljena i drugih dijelova tijela. Prijelomi se razlikuju po stupnju i složenosti, ovisno o stupnju sile koja je uključena. Mogu biti: poprečni (vodoravno preko trupa), kosi, spiralni (zbog sile uvijanja), usitnjeni (kada nastaju tri ili više komadića kosti), otvoreni ili zatvoreni. Učestalost prijeloma bedrene kosti iznosi 1-1,33 prijeloma na 10 000 stanovnika godišnje. Fizioterapeuti su dio tima zdravstvenih djelatnika koji pomažu ljudima u oporavku od prijeloma femura. Fizikalna terapija može se odvijati u bolnici, u ustanovi za medicinsku njegu, u domu osobe ili u ambulantnoj klinici za fizikalnu terapiju. Fizioterapeuti poboljšavaju kvalitetu života kroz praktičnu njegu, edukaciju pacijenata i propisano kretanje. Svrha rada jest ukazati na važnost i ulogu fizioterapije u liječenju prijeloma bedrene kosti te njezina doprinosa izlječenju. Nakon operacije prijeloma bedrene kosti pristupa se fizioterapiji. Fizikalna terapija često je potrebna za pravilno zacjeljivanje prijeloma bedrene kosti. To će pacijentu omogućiti da udobno nosi težinu na ozlijeđenoj nozi kako bi ustao, hodao, penjao se i spuštao stepenicama i vježbao. Budući da će pacijent najvjerojatnije izgubiti snagu mišića na ozlijeđenom području, vježbe tijekom procesa ozdravljenja su važne. Fractures of the femoral shaft are caused by a high-energy injury, such as a motor vehicle accident, unless it is a pathologic fracture in a patient with osteoporosis or metastatic disease. Hip, pelvis, knee and other body partsi njuries are often associated. Fractures vary in degree and complexity, depending on the degree of force involved. They can be: transverse (horizontal across the trunk), oblique, spiral (due to twisting force), comminuted (when three or more pieces of bone are formed), open or closed. The frequency of femur fracturesis 1-1.33 fractures per 10,000 inhabitants per year. Physiotherapists are part of a team of health care professionals who help people recover from femur fractures. Physical therapy can take place in a hospital, a nursing facility, a person's home, or an outpatient physical therapyclinic. Physiotherapists improve the quality of life through practical care, patient education and prescribed movement. The purpose of theraperies is to point out the importance and role of physiotherapy in the treatment of femur fractures and its contribution to healing. Physiotherapy is started after femur fracture surgery. Physical therapy is often necessary for proper healing of femur fractures. This will allow the patient to comfortably bear weight on the injured leg to stand up, walk, climb and descend stairs, and exercise. Since the patient will most likely lose muscle strength in the injured area, exercise during the healing process is important. Physical therapy will help him regain normal muscle strength, joint mobility and flexibility.

Palijativna skrb model je skrbi koji se primjenjuje kod pacijenata koji su u terminalnom stadiju ili boluju od neizlječivih bolesti na čije simptome klasična kurativna medicina više nema željeni učinak. Ciljevi skrbi umjesto izlječenja i produljenja života, usmjereni su na uklanjanje neugodnih i bolnih simptoma. Provodi ju multidisciplinarni tim, a interdisciplinarnim i holističkim pristupom pacijentima i obitelji osigurava potporu u obliku fizičke, psihološke, duhovne i socijalne skrbi. Cilj rada je prikazati zabilježene učinke fizioterapijskih postupaka na kvalitetu života kod palijativnih pacijenata i njihovih obitelji analizom dostupne literature. Iako palijativna skrb nije namijenjena samo osobama starije populacije, demografski podaci ukazuju na porast starog stanovništva, uz istovremeno smanjenje brojnosti mlade populacije. Takav trend zahtjeva razvoj strategija i metoda koje osobama s kroničnim tijekom bolesti omogućuju kvalitetniji životni vijek. Fizioterapeut ima važnu ulogu u palijativnoj skrbi te nastoji očuvati funkcionalnost i dostojanstvo pacijenta s naglaskom na sanaciju boli. Primjena palijativnih principa u kliničkoj praksi omogućuje individualizirani pristup pacijentu koji je usmjeren na kvalitetu umjesto kvantitetu života uz očuvanje autonomije i dostojanstva. Omogućuje sudjelovanje pacijenta u planiranju postupaka, što podrazumijeva dobru komunikaciju svih zdravstvenih i ne zdravstvenih stručnjaka uključenih u skrb, kao i informiranost pacijenta. Uz bol koja je najčešći fizički simptom palijativnih pacijenata, često je prisutna i totalna bol koja je produkt fizičke, psihičke i duhovne boli koju pacijent osjeća. S obzirom na potrebe pacijenta, mogućnosti i okruženje u kojem se provodi, palijativna skrb može se provoditi na više razina: palijativni pristup, opća palijativna skrb, specijalistička palijativna skrb i centri izvrsnosti. Tim koji skrbi za pacijenta nastoji pružiti skrb interdisciplinarnim pristupom koji implementira različite postupke i metode zdravstvenih stručnjaka uključenih u skrb. Svaki od članova tima pristupa problemu s različite točke gledišta, no sve intervencije su usmjerene na razinu kvalitete života i održavanje iste sve do trenutka smrti. Fizioterapijski postupci usmjereni su na očuvanje funkcionalnosti, pozicioniranje, uklanjanje boli i ostalih neugodnih simptoma te prevenciju mogućih komplikacija koje nastaju kao posljedica dugotrajnog mirovanja. Metode i intervencije koje se koriste uključuju: procjenu, pravilno pozicioniranje, aktivne, pasivne i aktivno potpomognute vježbe, vertikalizaciju,, masažu, trening hoda, edukaciju o upotrebi pomagala, edukaciju o metodama upravljanja energijom tijekom dana i sve ostale postupke koji pozitivno utječu na pacijentovo stanje. Intervencije se prilagođavaju pacijentovim mogućnostima i željama, a kao dopuna terapiji po potrebi se uključuju specijalne tehnike te pasivne metode poput elektroterapije i termoterapije. Naglasak je na održavanju pacijentu važnih funkcija kao što su samozbrinjavanje i što veća samostalnost u obavljanju svakodnevnih aktivnosti. Osim na fizičke komponente, fizioterapijski postupci pozitivno utječu na psihičke komponente zdravlja, naročito ako pacijent aktivno sudjeluje u planiranju terapije te određivanju ciljeva u dogovoru s fizioterapeutom. Palliative care is a model of care that is applied to patients who are in the terminal stage or suffer from incurable diseases whose symptoms of classical curative medicine no longer have the desired effect. The goals of care, instead of curing and prolonging life, are aimed at eliminating unpleasant and painful symptoms. It is carried out by a multidisciplinary team, and with an interdisciplinary and holistic approach, it provides support to patients and families in the form of physical, psychological, spiritual, and social care. The paper aims to show the recorded effects of physiotherapy procedures on the quality of life of palliative patients and their families by analyzing the available literature. Although palliative care is not intended only for the elderly population, demographic data indicate an increase in the old population, with a simultaneous decrease in the number of the young population. Such a trend requires the development of strategies and methods that enable people with a chronic course of the disease to have a better quality of life. The physiotherapist plays an important role in palliative care and strives to preserve the functionality and dignity of the patient with an emphasis on pain relief. The application of palliative principles in clinical practice enables an individualized approach to the patient that focuses on quality instead of quantity of life while preserving autonomy and dignity. It enables the participation of the patient in the planning of procedures, which implies good communication between all health and non-health professionals involved in care, as well as patient information. In addition to pain, which is the most common physical symptom of palliative patients, total pain is also often present, which is the product of physical, psychological, and spiritual pain that the patient feels. Considering the needs of the patient, the possibilities, and the environment in which it is carried out, palliative care can be carried out at several levels: palliative approach, general palliative care, specialist palliative care, and centers of excellence. The patient care team strives to provide care with an interdisciplinary approach that implements the various procedures and methods of the health professionals involved in the care. Each of the team members approaches the problem from a different point of view, but all interventions are aimed at the level of quality of life and its maintenance until the moment of death. Physiotherapy procedures are aimed at preserving functionality, positioning, removing pain and other unpleasant symptoms, and preventing possible complications that arise as a result of prolonged rest. The methods and interventions used include assessment, proper positioning, active, passive, and actively assisted exercises, verticalization, massage, gait training, education on the use of aids, education on energy management methods during the day, and all other procedures that positively affect the patient's state. Interventions are adapted to the patient's possibilities and wishes, and special techniques and passive methods such as electrotherapy and thermotherapy are included as a supplement to the therapy. The emphasis is on maintaining important functions for the patient, such as self-care and as much independence as possible in performing daily activities. In addition to the physical components, physiotherapy procedures have a positive effect on the psychological components of health, especially if the patient actively participates in planning the therapy and setting goals in agreement with the physiotherapist.

Trudnoća je razdoblje tijekom kojeg dolazi do mnogih fizičkih, psihičkih promjena te potencijalno do određenih komplikacija i bolesti. Trajanje trudnoće je oko 40 tjedana ili nešto više od 9 mjeseci. U tom periodu dijete razvija organe, kosti, srce počinje kucati, dijete raste te se razvija do samog rođenja. Tijekom trudnoće može doći do komplikacija kao što su visoko rizična trudnoća, krvarenje, šećerne bolesti, hipertenzivne bolesti, sindroma prijevremenog rođenja itd. no poteškoće s djetetom mogu nastati i nakon rođenja. Poteškoće s kojima se dijete susreće mogu biti od blagih i prolaznih do teških i trajnih no u svakom slučaju djetetu će biti potrebna pomoć fizioterapeuta. U ovom istraživanju cilj je bio detektirati najčešće poteškoće kod djece, kada su se od prilike javile, jesu li im fizikalne terapije bile od pomoći te koliko djece je bilo u mogućnosti nakon fizikalne terapije nastaviti zdrav i kvalitetan život bez poteškoća. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 27 ispitanica, te su odgovarale na 11 pitanja kratkog ili ponuđenog odgovora. Poteškoće s kojima su se djeca susretala bile su od hipertonije i hipotonije, zaostalosti u razvoju pa do trajnih oštećenja kao što su epilepsija, tetrapareza, oštećenje vida, nemogućnosti samostalnog hodanja, hranjenja, govora, razumijevanja. Pregnancy is a period during which there are many physical and psychological changes and potentially certain complications and diseases. The duration of pregnancy is about 40 weeks or slightly more than 9 months. During this period, the child develops organs, bones, the heart begins to beat, the child grows and develops until birth. Complications such as high-risk pregnancy, bleeding, diabetes, hypertensive diseases, premature birth syndrome, etc. can occur during pregnancy, but problems with the child can also arise after birth. The difficulties the child faces can range from mild and temporary to severe and permanent, however child will need the help of a physiotherapist. In this research, the goal was to detect the most common difficulties in children, when they occurred, whether physical therapy was helpful for them, and how many children were able to continue a healthy and quality life without difficulties after physical therapy. 27 respondents participated in the research, and they answered 11 short or open-ended questions. The difficulties the children encountered ranged from hypertonia and hypotonia, slow development to permanent impairments such as epilepsy, tetraparesis, visual impairment, inability to walk independently, feed, speak, understand.

Lumbosakralna bol je degenerativna promjena na kralježnici uzrokovana najčešće zbog čimbenika rizika, no tu se još ubrajaju traume kao što je to hernija diska i slično. Njezina patologija nije toliko komplicirana, no može za posljedicu neliječenja imati vrlo loš ishod. Sama bolnost se kroz kliničke testove (vizualno analogna skala boli, indeks sagitalne gibljivosti kralježnice, test istezanja femoralnog živca, Slump test, Laseguev test i manualni mišićni test) lako dijagnosticira. Liječi se prema fazama u kojima se pacijent nalazi, odnosno radi li se o akutnoj ili kroničnoj fazi bolesti. U liječenju značajnu ulogu ima fizioterapeut koji provodi terapijske vježbe i primjenjuje fizikalne čimbenike. Vrlo bitne vježbe koje se provode su vježbe istezanja, vježbe jačanja, ekstenzijske vježbe, vježbe prema McKenziu i stabilizacijske vježbe. Kod elektroprocedura najviše se spominju elektromišićna stimulacija, ultrazvuk, interferentne struje, laser, transkutana elektronervna stimulacija, dijadinamske struje, magnetoterapija, hidroterapija i balneoterapija. Provedena fizioterapija u konačnici ima velikog učinka na smanjenje boli, ali i povećanju izvođenja svakodnevnih aktivnosti. Osim provođenja fizioterapijskih postupaka fizioterapeut provodi i edukaciju pacijenta koja značajno pomaže u brzini i kvaliteti oporavka, odnosno smanjenju progresije bolesti i mogućnosti pojave recidiva. It is pathology is not so complicated, but it can have a very bad outcome as a result of non-treatment. The disease it self is easily diagnosed through clinical tests (visual analogue pain scale, sagittal spine mobility index, femoral nerve stretching test, Slump test, Lasegue test and manual muscle test). It is treated aceording to the stages in which is the patient, that is, whether it is an acute or chronic phase of the disease. In the treatment, an inportent role is played by a physioterapist who performs terapeutic exercises and electrotherapy. Physiotherapy is crucial in the diagnosis, treatment of gestational diabetes mellitus and the primary goal is to keep the pregnancy safe for both mother and fetus. The individualized exercise plan and program for the mother through all three trimesters begins with an assessment of the mother's condition, absolute and relative contraindications, and the implementation of various standardized tests, questionnaires and scales. In addition to the physiotherapist's assessment, a detailed general and gynecological history is required in order to make an effective and safe plan in accordance with all the information obtained, and sufficiently the goals of the physiotherapy intervention.

The main goals of neurological physiotherapy are recovery, adaptation, maintenance and prevention. Prior to the rehabilitation, the physiotherapist uses tests and standard norms of physiotherapy assessment. The exercises that are performed are proprioception exercises, coordination and balance exercises, and strength exercises. The program includes hydrotherapy and electrotherapy. Before starting physical therapy, it is necessary to conduct a subjective and objective assessment by conducting specialized tests, condition analysis and treatment plan. Prije izrade programa i plana vježbanja potrebno je izvršiti evaluaciju trudnica koja treba uzeti u obzir sve moguće medicinske i ginekološke rizike za trudnice. Prilagođeno držanje tijela dio je fiziološkog procesa koji se javlja zbog povećane maternice. Važno je procijeniti mišićno-koštani sustav zbog praćenja promjene i prilagoditi programe vježbanja kako bismo pomogli trudnicama s križoboljom tijekom trudnoće. The adaptation of the musculoskeletal system to pregnancy results in a series of changes in the posture of the pregnant woman's body. Postural changes in pregnant women should be differed from already existing degenerative changes. Postural adjustments are a normal consequence of pregnancy. Posture is a variable category that changes every time the activity changes. New changes in pregnancy can easily lead to excessive strain on any part of the body. During pregnancy, women experience a series of physiological and anatomical changes that allow their bodies to adapt to pregnancy, the growth and development of the child, and to prepare for childbirth. Several important musculoskeletal changes occur during pregnancy. As a result of the weight increasement and growth of the fetus during pregnancy, there are mainly changes in posture, joints and muscles. The center of gravity moves up above the pelvis. A shift in the center of gravity reduces the sense of balance and therefore there is a greater risk of falling. By adapting the musculoskeletal system to pregnancy, the posture of the body changes. Pain in the lower spine is caused by all these changes that occur throughout the body during pregnancy. Muscular changes are most pronounced in the muscles of the pelvic floor and rectus abdominis, which support the weight of the uterus and fetus. Exercise programs during pregnancy must be planned on an individual basis. Most importantly, when planning the duration and intensity of exercise appropriate for each pregnant woman, it is also important to understand the physiology of pregnancy and birth before planning to prevent possible complications. Before creating a program and exercise plan, it is necessary to perform an evaluation of pregnant women, which should take into account all possible medical and gynecological risks for pregnant women. Adjusted body posture is part of the physiological process that occurs due to the enlarged uterus. It is important to assess the musculoskeletal system to monitor changes and adjust exercise programs to help pregnant women with low back pain during pregnancy.

Multipla skleroza je autoimuna bolest središnjeg živčanog sustava. Bolest pogađa mlade ljude, produktivne dobi od 20-40 godina. Najčešće obolijevaju žene, 2-3 puta više od muškaraca. Karakterizirana je kroničnom upalom, demijelinizacijom, gliozom i gubitkom neurona. Bolest se može podijeliti u četiri glavna klinička podtipa: relapsno-remitentna multipla skleroza, sekundarno-progresivna multipla skleroza, primarno-progresivna i progresivno-relapsirajuća multipla skleroza. Smatra se da na razvoj bolesti utječu okolišni čimbenici, genetski čimbenici i virusne infekcije. Multipla skleroza dijagnosticira se pomoću magnetske rezonance, spinalne punkcije, testa evociranih potencijala i krvnih testova. U liječenju multiple skleroze, važnu ulogu ima fizioterapija. Sastavni dio fizioterapije u liječenju multiple skleroze je vježbanje. Simptomi multiple skleroze kojima se fizioterapeuti uglavnom bave su: hod, ravnoteža, spastičnost, fleksibilnost, koordinacija. Svrha fizioterapije je bolesnika ponovno učiniti funkcionalnim i neovisnim u aktivnostima svakodnevnog života. Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease of the central nervous system. The disease affects young people, at the productive age of 20-40 years old. Women are most often affected, 2-3 times more than men. The disease is characterized by chronic inflammation, demyelination, gliosis and loss of neurons. The disease can be divided into four main clinical subtypes: relapsing-remmiting multiple sclerosis, secondary-progressive multiple sclerosis, primary-progressive multiple sclerosis and progressive-relapsing multiple sclerosis. The development of disease is thought to be influenced by environmental factors, genetic factors and infectious factors. Multiple sclerosis is diagnosed by using magnetic resonance imaging, spinal tap, evoked potential test and blood test. Physiotherapy plays an important role in the treatment of multiple scelrosis. An integral part of physiotherapy in the treatment of multiple sclerosis is exercise. The symptoms that physiotherapist mainly deal with are: gait, balance, spasticity, flexibilty, coordination. The purpose of physiotherapy is to make the patient functional and independent again in activities of daily life.

Osteoartritis (OA) kuka je najčešća degenerativna bolest koja je progresivna i kronična te nema poznati uzrok. Narušava stanje cijelog sustava kao cjeline zbog toga što su otežane aktivnosti svakodnevnog života, ali najviše pogađa lokomotorni sustav. OA kao takav zahvaća primarno sami zglob odnosno hrskavicu u njemu, ali zbog nepravilnog obrasca hoda odnosno zbog boli i izmijenjene biomehanike hoda koja utječe i na okolne mišiće, ligamente treba sa procedurama terapije krenuti što je ranije moguće. Liječenje kao takvo može se provoditi na razne načine ali i od velike je ovisnosti o stupnju bolesti i dobi bolesnika te koliko je bolesnik spreman na suradnju i koliko je motiviran za rad. Vrlo je važno je provesti fizioterapijsku procjenu zgloba kuka kako bi se mogao napraviti plan i program liječenja. Liječenje može biti konzervativno u koje ulaze farmakološka i fizikalna terapija. Ukoliko dođe do pogoršanja OA i ukoliko se više nikakvim konzervativnim metodama liječenja ne može postići pozitivan rezultat liječenja indikacija je za ugradnju umjetnog zgloba. Kod OA kuka od izuzetne je važnosti fizioterapijska procjena i intervencija za na fizioterapeute, ali također je vrlo važno prenijeti znanje o bolest i educirati pacijenta u najvećoj mogućoj mjeri kako pravilno izvoditi vježbe, kako da poboljša držanje, te kako da unaprijedi svoje aktivnosti svakodnevnog života i kako da poboljša stabilnost i smanji broj padova zbog nestabilnosti noge. As such, OA primarily affects the joint itself, i.e. the cartilage in it, but due to an irregular walking pattern, i.e. due to pain and altered biomechanics of walking, which also affects the surrounding muscles, ligaments, therapy procedures should be started as early as possible. Treatment as such can be carried out in various ways, but it also depends greatly on the advanced stage of the disease and the age of the patient, as well as whether the patient is ready to cooperate and how motivated he is to work. It is very important to carry out a physiotherapy assessment of the hip joint so that a treatment plan and program can be made. Treatment can be conservative, which includes pharmacological and physical therapy. If OA worsens and if no more conservative treatment methods can achieve a positive treatment result, the indication is for the installation of an artificial joint, the so-called hip endoprosthesis. In OA of the hip, physiotherapy assessment and intervention by physiotherapists is extremely important, but it is also very important to transfer knowledge about the disease and educate the patient as much as possible on how to properly perform exercises, how to improve posture, and how to improve their activities of daily life and how to improve stability and reduce the number of falls due to leg instability.

Kako je nogomet već dugi niz godina (moglo bi se reći i desetljeća, ako ne i više) najzastupljeniji sport kako u Hrvatskoj tako i širem svijeta, nerijetke su ozljede koje se događaju kod igrača ovog sporta. S obzirom da je riječ o kontaktnom sportu koji se igra prilično velikim brzinama (brzina samog igrača, ali i brzina lopte), većina ozljeda potječe baš iz ta dva navedena faktora: brzina i kontakt. S obzirom na jačinu tih dvoje uzročnika, postoje ozljede koje možemo okarakterizirati jačima i slabijima, kao i dvije skupine ozljeda: rupture i kontuzije. Cilj ovog završnog rada jest približiti tematiku ozljeda kod nogometaša, razlog njihova nastanka te način prevencija istih. Također, u radu se nastoji kroz kategorije mišićnih skupina prikazati koje su najčešće ozljede. Since it is a contact sport that is played at quite high speeds (the speed of the player himself, but also the speed of the ball), most injuries originate from those two factors: speed and contact. Considering the severity of these two causes, injuries can be characterized as stronger and weaker, as well as two groups of injuries: ruptures and contusions. The goal of this final paper is to bring closer the topic of injuries of football players, the reason for their occurrence, and the way to prevent them. Also, the paper tries to show which are the most common injuries through the categories of muscle groups.

Psorijaza je česta kronična, genetski determinirana, papuloskvamozna i psihosomatska kožna bolest. Očituje se tipičnim crvenilom, zadebljanjem kože te srebrno bijelim mekinjastim i suhim ljuskama. Od navedenoga oboljenja boluje 1-3% svjetskog stanovništva, dok u Republici Hrvatskoj 1.7% populacije. Prvi znaci psorijaze najčešće se javljaju u dobi prije 25 godine života. Pošto je psorijaza kronična bolest koja prati osobu do njene smrti potrebno je konstantno liječenje. Česta popratna pojava psorijaze je psorijatični artritis od kojeg ima čak 30% oboljelih. Psorijatični artritis je reumatsko oboljenje koje spada u spondiloartroze. Najčešće je okarakterizirano kubičastim prstima te kroničnim upalama u zglobovima uz prisustvo boli i deformacija. Liječenje psorijaze kao i psorijatičnog artritisa složen je proces koji zahtjeva multidiciplinarni pristup, U liječenju sudjeluju zdravstveni stručnjaci iz područja dermatologije, reumatologije zatim psiholog, socijalni radnik, fizioterapeut, medicinska sestra i drugi. Liječenje se provodi pomoću medikamentozne terapije, zdravstvene njege, fizioterapije, psihološke pomoći i neophodna je promjena načina života. Fizioterapija ima važnu ulogu u liječenju zbog svih fizikalnih agenasa koji imaju povoljne učinke na psorijazu i psorijatični artritis. Primjenjuju se UV zrake, naftalanska ulja, modaliteti elektroterapije te fizioterapijske vježbe. Psoriasis is a common chronic, genetically determined, papulosquamous and psychosomatic skin disease. A common side effect of psoriasis is psoriatic arthritis, which affects as many as 30% of patients. Psoriatic arthritis is a rheumatic disease that belongs to spondyloarthrosis. It is most often characterized by cuboid fingers and chronic joint inflammation with pain and deformities. The treatment of psoriasis, as well as psoriatic arthritis, is a complex process that requires a multidisciplinary approach. Health experts from the fields of dermatology, rheumatology, psychologist, social worker, physiotherapist, nurses, and others participate in the treatment. Treatment is carried out using drug therapy, health care, physiotherapy, psychological help and a lifestyle change is necessary. Physiotherapy plays an important role in treatment because of all the physical agents that have beneficial effects on psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. UV rays, naphthalene oils, electrotherapy modalities, and physiotherapy exercises are used.

Tumori su jedan od vodećih zdravstvenih problema današnjice. Mogu biti maligni i benigni. Benigni tumori su najčešće bezopasni dok se maligni šire i prodiru u okolna tkiva i tako štete organizmu. Tumore koji nastaju u ženskom reproduktivnom sustavu nazivamo ginekološkim tumorima. Postoji pet tipova glavnih ginekoloških tumora, a to su rak stidnice, rak rodnice, rak vrata maternice, rak tijela maternice i tumori jajnika i jajovoda. Najčešće se dijagnosticiraju u kasnoj fazi zbog slabo izraženih kliničkih simptoma. Najčešći simptom ginekoloških tumora je abnormalno vaginalno krvarenje, a u kasnijoj fazi mogu se javit simptomi poput boli u donjem dijelu trbuha, grčevi, nadutost, gastrointestinalni i urinarni simptomi. Ovi simptomi mogu nalikovati mnogim bolestima i stanjima i zbog toga ih je teže dijagnosticirati. Liječenje ginekološkog karcinoma ovisi o stadiju bolesti. Terapija može uključivati operaciju, zračenje, kemoterapiju, hormonsku terapiju i ciljanu terapiju, ili kombinaciju ovih modaliteta. Primarni tretman je kirurški i ostavlja velike posljedice na fizičko stanje pacijentice. Rehabilitacija osobe oboljele od ginekološkog tumora mora početi što ranije. Fizioterapijski pristup kod pacijentica operiranih od ginekoloških tumora zahtjeva individualiziran program. Započinje fizioterapijskom procjenom koja uključuje uzimanje anamneze, funkcionalnog statusa i podataka o provedenoj operaciji. Cilj rehabilitacije je pomoći pacijentici da postigne najvišu moguću funkcionalnost. Kako bi to postigli važno je krenuti s fizikalnom terapijom što ranije. Fizioterapija nakon operacije može se podijeliti na prije operacijsku fazu, poslije operacijsku fazu i kasnu poslije operacijsku fazu. Prva faza rehabilitacije je priprema za operaciju. Druga faza rehabilitacije uključuje vježbe cirkulacije, disanja, vježbe jačanja mišića zdjeličnog dana i mišića abdomena. Treća faza rehabilitacije koncentrira se na edukaciju o načinu života idućih tri mjeseca od operacije. These symptoms can resemble many diseases and conditions and are therefore difficult to diagnose. Treatment of gynecological cancer depends on the stage of the disease. Therapy may include surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, and targeted therapy, or a combination of these modalities. The primary treatment is surgical and has great consequences on the patient's physical condition. Rehabilitation of a person suffering from a gynecological tumor must begin as early as possible. Physiotherapy approach in patients operated on for gynecological tumors requires an individualized program. It begins with a physiotherapy assessment that includes taking an anamnesis, functional status and information about the surgery performed. The goal of rehabilitation is to help the patient achieve the highest possible functionality. In order to achieve this, it is important to start physical therapy as early as possible. Physiotherapy after surgery can be divided into pre-operative phase, post-operative phase and late post-operative phase. The first phase of rehabilitation is preparation for surgery. The second phase of rehabilitation includes exercises for circulation and breathing, exercises to strengthen the muscles of the pelvic floor and abdominal muscles. The third phase of rehabilitation focuses on lifestyle education for the next three months after surgery. The purpose of physiotherapy after gynecological tumor surgery is to prevent complications such as urogenital dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, lymphedema and pain.

Međunarodna klasifikacija funkcioniranja, onesposobljenja i zdravlja (MKF) jest klasifikacija osmišljena od strane Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije (SZO). Prevedena je i prilagođena brojnim jezicima svijeta kako bi primjena bila što proširenija i jednostavnija. Glavni cilj jest ostvarivanje jedinstvenog i standardnog jezika, također i okvira za opisivanje zdravlja i stanja povezanih sa zdravljem. MKF se sastoji od domena i ti domeni se mogu promatrati kao domeni zdravstva i domeni povezani sa zdravstvom. U fizioterapiji se primjenjuje kao statistički instrument, istraživački instrument, klinički instrument, kao instrument socijalne politike i obrazovni instrument. U posljednjih nekoliko desetljeća život oboljelih se značajno produžio, zbog dostupnosti novih terapijskih intervencija koje utječu na tijek bolesti. Istraživanjima je utvrđeno da od cistične fibroze najčešće obolijevaju pripadnici bijele rase. Uzrok ovog oboljenja je mutacija gena koji je zaslužan za pomicanje soli i vode unutar i van stanica, zbog toga dolazi do stvaranja sluzi. Simptomi su prisutni od rane dječje dobi i različiti su kod svakog djeteta. Neki od osnovnih simptoma prisutnih kod svih ili barem većine pacijenata su ponavljajuće infekcije dišnog sustava, kašljanje, zviždanje, otežano disanje i oštećenje dišnih puteva. Cistična fibroza se primarno klinički dijagnosticira, što može biti popraćeno laboratorijskim testiranjima. Oboljeli imaju veće mogućnosti za razvoj komplikacija kao što su osteoporoza, dijabetes, nosni polipi i sinusne infekcije. Osim medikamentozne terapije, kojom se liječe i preveniraju problemi pluća, primjenjuju se i fizioterapijske metode kao što su razne tehnike disanja, vježbe i tjelesna aktivnost kako bi se očistila sluz iz dišnih puteva. The main goal is to achieve a unique and standard language, as well as a framework for describing health and health-related conditions. MKF consists of domains, and these domains can be viewed as domains of health and domains realted to health. In physiotherapy, it is used as a statistical instrument, research instrument, clinical instrument and an educational instrument. The main characteristics of MKF are comprehensiveness, volume, classification units, organization and structure according to the mutual relationship of these elements. Cystic fibrosis is an autosomal recessive disease and is one of the most common hereditary diseases. It is a disease that affects several systems of the human body: the respiratory system, the digestive system and the reproductive system. Unfortunately, patients with this disease have a shortened life expectancy. Lenght of life is determined by the progression and severity of lung disease, which is thus the primary cause of death. In the last few decades, the life of patients has been significantly extended, due to the availability of new therapeutic interventions that affect the course of the disease. Research has shown that cystic fibrosis most often affects the population of white people. The cause of this disease is a mutation of a gene that is responsible for moving salt and water inside and outside the cells, as a result of which mucus is produced. Symptoms are present from early childhood and are different for each child. Some of the basic symptoms present in all or at least most patients are recurrent respiratory infections, caughing, wheezing, difficulty breathing and damage to the airways. Cystic fibrosis is primarily diagnosed clinically, which can be accompanied by laboratory tests. Sufferers are more likely to develop complications such as osteoporosis, diabetes, nasal polyps and sinus infections. In addition to drug therapy, which is used to treat and prevent lung problems, physiotherapy methods such as various breathing tehniques, exercises and physical activity are used to clear mucus from the respiratory tract.

Reumatoidni artritis, skraćeno RA, dolazi od riječi grčkog porijekla „Rheuma“ što znači „teći“. To je kronična, upalna sistemna i autoimuna bolest vezivnog tkiva, ne samo na zglobovima već i u čitavom organizmu koja se najčešće javlja na perifernim zglobovima. 1% populacije boluje od reumatoidnog artritisa te se može javiti kod bilo kojeg uzrasta, a najčešće između 35 do 50 godine života. Javlja se češće kod žena tj. dva do tri puta više nego kod muškaraca. Kod većine bolesnika započinje postupno sa simptomima kao što su malaksalost, gubitak kilograma i umor. Zatim se javljaju upale, otekline, bolovi i simptomi ukočenosti te tako dolazi do ireverzibilnog oštećenja tkiva. Simptom koji karakterizira reumatoidni artritis je jutarnja ukočenost koja minimalno traje 30 minuta. Pacijent bi se trebao što ranije javiti liječniku radi postavljanja dijagnoze te kako bi se na vrijeme počelo odgovarajuće liječenje. Kod liječenja reumatoidnog artritisa koristi se medikamentna i fizikalna terapija te kineziterapija. Fizioterapeut može utjecati na smanjenje posljedica bolesti (tolerancija na vježbu, smanjena saga mišića) , ali ne i na tijek bolesti ili genetske čimbenike te također pomaže pacijentu kod poboljšavanja problema vezanih uz svakodnevne aktivnosti života. S vremenom kod bolesnika s RA javljaju se deformiteti te može doći do toga da pacijent nije u stanju brinuti o sebi i obavljati sam svakodnevne aktivnosti. Vrlo je važna podrška obitelji i razgovor sa zdravstvenim djelatnikom kako se ne bi smanjila kvaliteta života bolesnika. Također je vrlo važna tjelesna i fizička aktivnost kao i provođenje fizikalne terapije koja bi trebala biti jednom godišnje u odgovarajućem rehabilitacijskom centru. The patient should contact the doctor as early as possible to establish a diagnosis and to start appropriate treatment in time. In the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, medicinal and physical therapy and kinesitherapy are used. The physiotherapist can influence the reduction of the consequences of the disease (exercise tolerance, reduced muscle soreness), but not the course of the disease or genetic factors, and also help the patient to improve problems related to daily life activities. Over time, patients with RA develop deformities, and the patient can be unable to take care of themselves and perform daily activities on their own. It is very important to support the family and talk to the healthcare professional so that the patient's quality of life is not reduced. Physical and physical activity is also very important, as well as the implementation of physical therapy, which should take place once a year in an appropriate rehabilitation center.

Poremećaji seksualne disfunkcije zapravo su poremećaji seksualnog nagona. Seksualni nagon jedan je od najvažnijih nagona koji se ostvaruje djelovanjem limbičkog sustava. Sastoji se od četiri faze- želja, uzbuđenje, orgazam te smirenje. Seksualne disfunkcije mogu se klasificirati pomoću DSM-5 te MKF-10 klasifikacije. Disfunkcije su češće nego što očekujemo, a učestalost je puno veća kod žena nego muškaraca. Viša dob, niža razina obrazovanja, depresija, loši socioekonomski uvjeti, anksioznost ili urinarna inkontinencija uvelike mogu pridonijeti nastanku seksualnih disfunkcija. Seksualne disfunkcije mogu imati dvije vrste podloga- psihološku i organsku. Najčešći organski uzroci su trudnoća, lijekovi, kronične bolesti, kombinacija psihoaktivnih tvari te promjene u endokrinološkom sustavu. Anksioznost i depresija su najčešći psihološki čimbenici koji itekako mogu utjecati na nastanak seksualne disfunkcije. Glavni oblici seksualnih disfunkcija su poremećaji seksualne želje, poremećaji u seksualnom uzbuđenju, poremećaji prilikom doživljavanja orgazma te poremećaji koji su vezani za seksualnu bol kao što je npr. vaginizam. Fizioterapeuti imaju veliku ulogu u tretmanu seksualnih disfunkcija. Kako bi se odredila najbolja terapija bitno je najprije obaviti fizioterapijsku procjenu. Koriste se razne metode za procjenu valjanosti kontrakcije i snage mišića zdjeličnog dna. Neke od najčešćih terapijskih intervencija koje se koriste su Kegelove vježbe, abdominalno disanje, progresivna mišićna relaksacija, biofeedback, elektrostimulacija, izvantjelesna magnetska inervacija te vaginalni konusi i dilatatori. Kako bi fizioterapijski proces bio valjan bitno je na kraju procesa napraviti evaluaciju terapije. Potrebno je provesti sve metode mjerenja kao i na samom početku fizioterapijske procjene. Na taj način dobivamo uvid u uspješnost fizioterapijskog tretmana te jesu li se zadovoljili svi ciljevi koji su definirani na samom početku fizioterapijskog procesa. It consist four phases-desire, excitement, orgasam and calm. Sexual dysfunctions can be classified usin the DSM-5 And MKF-10 classifications. Dysfunctions are more common than we except, and the frequency is much higher in women than men. Older age, lower level of education, depression, poor socioeconomic conditions, anxietyor urinary incontinence can greatly contribute to the development of sexual dysfunctions. Sexual dysfunctions can have two types of background- psychological and organic. The most common organic causes are pregnancy, drugs, chronic diseases, a combination of psychoactive substances and changes in the endocrine system. Anxiety and depression are the most common psychological factors that can very well influence the onset of sexual dysfunction. The main forms of sexual dysfunction are sexual desire disorders, sexual arousal disorders, orgasm disorders, and sexual pain- related disorders such as vaginismus. Physiotherapists play a major role in the treatment of sexual dysfunctions. In order to determine the best therapay, it is essential to first perform a physiotherapy assessment. Various methods are used to assess the validity of the contraction and strenght of the pelvic floor muscles. Some of the most common theraputic interventions used are Kegel exercises, abdominal breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, biofeedback, electrostimulation, extracorporeal magnetic innervation and vaginal cones and dilators. In order for the physiotherapy process to be valid, it is important to evaluate the therapy at the end of the process. It is necessary to perform all measurement methods as at the very beginning of the physiotherapy assessment. In this way, we gain insight into the success of physiotherapy treatment and whether all the goals defined at the very beginning of the physiotherapy process have been met.

Reumatoidni artritis kronična je, upalna, sistemska, progresivna te autoimuna bolest koja zahvaća lokomotorni sustav. Praćena je fazama egzerbacije i remisije. Na prvom mjestu zahvaćeni su zglobovi te se postupno kako vrijeme odmiče stvaraju sve veća i veća oštećenja kako unutar tako i van zglobova koja u samoj krajnosti mogu rezultirati invaliditetom i izrazito niskom funkcionalnošću i kvalitetom života oboljelog. Kada govorimo o RA te njegovoj reputaciji kao autoimunoj bolesti nužno je spomenuti da imunološki sistem iz nepoznatog razloga napada na prvom mjestu kosti i hrskavično tkivo, a nerijetko i neke unutarnje organe. Pojavnost ove bolesti veća je kod žena nego kod muškaraca. Simptom koji se obično prvi javlja kod bolesnika je jutarnja zakočenost u području malih zglobova periferije (šake, metakarpofalangealni zglobovi, stopala, proksimalni i distani interfalangealni zglobovi...). Rano dijagnosticiranje same bolesti od iznimne je važnosti te u velikoj mjeri može pozitivno utjecati na njenu progresiju. Spektar metoda liječenja RA poprilično je širok te ovisi o težini i stupnju zahvaćenosti. S obzirom na to principi liječenja kreću se od jednostavnih konzervativnih metoda pa sve do kirurškog liječenja. Rad fizioterapeuta kod reumatoloških bolesnika sve je samo ne zanemariv. Manualne tehnike, manipulacije tkiva, razgibavanja, vježbe, elektroterapija, sve od navedenog itekako može pomoći u suzbijanju reumatološke bolesti. In the first place, the joints are affected and gradually, as time goes on, more and more damage is created both inside and outside the joints, which in the final can result in disability and extremely low functionality and quality of life of the patient. When we talk about RA and its reputation as an autoimmune disease, it is necessary to mention that the immune system for an unknown reason attacks in the first place the bones and cartilage tissue, and often some internal organs. The incidence of this disease is higher in women than in men. The symptom that usually occurs first in patients is morning stiffness in the area of small peripheral joints (hands, metacarpophalangeal joints, feet, proximal and distal interphalangeal joints...). Early diagnosis of the disease itself is extremely important and can greatly positively affect its progression. The range of RA treatment methods is quite wide and depends on the severity and degree of involvement. With this in mind, the principles of treatment range are from simple conservative methods to surgical treatment. The work of physiotherapists in rheumatological patients is anything but negligible. Manual techniques, tissue manipulations, stretching, exercises, electrotherapy, all of the above can very well help in combating rheumatic disease.

Parkinsonova bolest predstavlja progresivni poremećaj koji je označen određenim patološkim promjenama i kliničkom slikom. Glavni simptomi ove bolesti su hipokinezija, rigor, tremor koji je prisutan u mirovanju, gubitak posturalnih refleksa, rjeđe je vidljiva hipofonija i dizartija. Uz glavne simptome javlja se cijeli niz nemotoričkih simptoma poput: bolova, osjetnih smetnji, anskioznost, depresija, poremećaj spavanja, prisutna su i kognitivna oštećenja te autoimune disfunkcije (osjećaj nedovoljnog pražnjenja mjehura, prekomjerno znojenje, opstipacija). Dijagnoza PB-a se postavlja isključivo klinički, na temelju kliničkog nalaza jer ne postoje određene metode koje se koriste za dijagnosticiranje bolesti. Zbog toga, potreban je precizan neurološki pregled te obrada koja bi pomogla u dijagnosticiranju bolesti. Kod liječenja PB-a bitno je da se svakom bolesniku pristupi individualno, bez obzira o dobi bolesnika i u kojem stadiju se bolest nalazi. Kod liječenja PB-a vrlo je bitan i potreban multidiscipliniran pristup pošto je riječ o bolesti koja zahvaća brojne sustave. Liječenje se svodi na medikamentno (farmakološko) i neurološko te je od velikog značaja kompleksna neurorehabilitacija s kojom se počinje odmah od početka nakon dijagnosticiranja bolesti. Neurorehabilitacijom se ublažuju i preveniraju komplikacije koje mogu nastati i poticati redukcijske te kompenzacijske mehanizme i neuroplasticitet. Fizioterapija i fizioterapijski procesi imaju veliku ulogu u liječenju PB-a. Nakon točno postavljenje dijagnoze, nakon što se uzme točna anamneza te provede fizikalno ispitivanje počinje se primjenjivati fizikalna medicina i rehabilitacijski postupci. Isključivo taj proces vodi bolesnikovu brzom izlječenju i rehabilitaciji. Glavna svrha rehabilitacije je u najvećoj mogućoj mjeri osposobiti bolesnika od PB-a te ga pripremiti za samostalnost u svakodnevnim aktivnostima, preko edukacije i programe medicinske rehabilitacije, a uz podršku pacijentove obitelji. Od fizioterapijskih procesa u liječenju vrlo bitnu ulogu ima kineziterapija te se primjenjuju vježbe jačanja, koordinacije, ravnoteže, disanja te vježbe istezanja. Od ostalih postupaka mogu se koristiti elektroterapija, medicinska masaža, PNF i Bobath koncept. A multidisciplinary approach is very important and necessary in the treatment of PD, as it is a disease that affects many systems. Treatment is reduced to medication (pharmacological) and neurological, and complex neurorehabilitation is of great importance, which is started immediately from the beginning after the diagnosis of the disease. Neurorehabilitation alleviates and prevents complications that can occur and encourages reduction and compensation mechanisms and neuroplasticity. Physiotherapy and physiotherapy processes play a major role in the treatment of PB. After the correct diagnosis is made, after the correct anamnesis is taken and a physical examination is performed, physical medicine and rehabilitation procedures are applied. This process alone leads to the patient's rapid healing and rehabilitation. The main purpose of rehabilitation is to train the patient with PB as much as possible and prepare him for independence in daily activities, through education and medical rehabilitation programs, with the support of the patient's family. Of the physiotherapeutic processes, kinesitherapy plays a very important role in treatment, and strengthening, coordination, balance, breathing and stretching exercises are used. Other procedures include electrotherapy, medical massage, PNF and the Bobath concept.

Nogomet je danas jedan od najpopularnijih svjetskih sportova kojim se ne bave samo muškarci, već i žene te zahvaća sve dobne skupine. Općenito u sportu, ne samo u nogometu, česta su pojava ozljede. Spina bifida je urođena mana gdje dolazi do nepotpunog spajanje ili izostanka spajanja lukova kralježnice te može, ali ne mora biti udružen s rascjepom kralježnične moždine. Kod spine bifide s meningomijelokelom u cisti se nalazi i živčano tkivo koje se nije uspjelo zatvoriti tijekom embrijskog razvoja. Do spina bifide s mijeloshizom ili rabishizom dolazi kad izostane zatvaranje neuralne cijevi, lukovi kralježaka manjkaju, a spljoštena masa živčanog tkiva otvara se prema van nešto ispod razine kože. Izloženo živčano tkivo degenerira se u maternici, što rezultira neurološkim deficitom koji variva ovisno o vrsti lezije. Reumatoidni artritis je teška, kronična upalna reumatska bolest koja u većini slučajeva zahvaća žene.Najčešće se pojavljuje kod osoba starijih od 25 godina. Starenjem se bolest projicira u sve težem obliku. Kod pacijenata oboljelih od reumatoidnog artritisa bolest započinje čestim upalama te oticanjem zglobova. Zglobovi zahvaćenim reumatoidnim artritisom su vrlo bolni kada je bolest u fazi egzarcebacije. Pacijenti postupno gube pokretljivost u zglobovima te s time i njihovu funkciju. Proces ove bolesti započinje u sinovijalnoj membrani koja okružuje zglobna tijela tvoreći zaštitnu vrećicu. Ona je ispunjena sinovijalnom tekućinom kojoj je uloga zaštita zgloba od trenja te opskrba hrskavice hranjivim tvarima i kisikom. Reumatoidni artritis uzrokuje stalni upalni proces koji uništava kolagen te se time prostor u zglobu smanjuje i same kosti se razaraju. Točni uzroci ove bolesti nisu poznati. Reumatoidni artritis se pojavljuje paralelno na oba zgloba npr, neće se očitovati samo na jednoj šaci nego na obje istovremeno. Kod pacijenata oboljelih od reumatoidnog artritisa većinom su zahvaćeni svi zglobovi ali najčešće se bolest najprije manifestira na šakama, koljenima te stopalima. Rehabilitacija reumatoidnog artritisa obuhvaća konzervativne i operativne metode liječenja. Od konzervativnih metoda liječenja najvažnija je fiziotererapija. Proces fizioterapije sastoji se od procjene fizioterapeuta, plana fizioterapije, fizioterapijske intervencije, ponovne procjene te završava otpustom sa zaključkom fizioterapeuta. Fizioterapijska intervencija obuhvaća postupke fizikalne terapije i kineziterapije. U fizikalnoj terapiji primjenjuju se različiti fizikalni agensi. Najučinkovitija je kineziterapija koja obuhvaća različite vrste vježbi te primjenu pomagala. Amputacija je kirurški proces koji uključuje odstranjivanje ozlijeđenog ili oboljelog dijela tijela s ciljem spašavanja života bolesnika. Čimbenici koji utječu na indikacije u tom procesu su kvaliteta življenja, dostupnost zdravstvu, ljudski čimbenici, vjerski i kulturni razlozi. Kretanje predstavlja osnovnu potrebu čovjeka i ponovno uspostavljanje ove funkcije predstavlja važan cilj rehabilitacijskog procesa. Iz humanih i funkcionalnih razloga, potrebno je učiniti sve što je moguće da se osobama sa amputacijom ekstremiteta ponovo omogući kretanje u vlastitom okruženju. Komplikacije kod osoba s amputacijama najčešće obuhvaćaju tehničke poteškoće i nemogućnost oblikovanja bataljka te komplikacije uzrokovane općim stanjem bolesnika. Infekcija bataljka poslije amputacije česta je pojava i može zahtijevati ponovnu amputaciju, što pacijenta dovodi u daljnje ozbiljne komplikacije. Rehabilitacija uključuje niz pristupa liječenju čiji je cilj maksimalno podići sposobnosti osobe, smanjiti ovisnost i poboljšati kvalitetu života nakon invaliditeta. Rehabilitacija osobe s amputacijom uključuje sve intervencije koje pomažu pacijentima da se upoznaju sa svojim protezama, te u prevladavanju komplikacija koje prate njihovu uporabu, kako bi im se omogućio povratak u svakodnevni život i na posao. Planiranje rehabilitacijskog rasporeda važno je za osobu s amputacijom kako bi prevladali komplikacije i postali neovisni pojedinci, utvrđujući njihove potrebe što je prije moguće. Amputation represents a surgical process that involves a removal of an injured or diseased part of the body with the end-goal of saving a patient’s life. Factors influencing the indications in this process are quality of life, access to health care, human factors, religious and/or cultural reasons. In any case, movement is a basic human need; hence, the re-establishment of this function is an important aim of the rehabilitation process. For humane and functional reasons, it is pivotal to do everything possible in order to enable people with limb amputation to move in their own environment again. Complications in people with amputations most often include technical difficulties and problems with stump shaping, as well as complications caused by the general condition of the patient. Stump infections after amputation are common and may necessitate re-amputation, opening the door for further serious complications. Rehabilitation includes a range of treatment approaches that aim to maximize individual abilities, reduce addiction, and improve quality of life after a disability. Rehabilitation of a person with amputation includes all interventions that can help patients to familiarize with their prostheses, and in overcoming the complications that accompany their usage, and naturally, to enable them to return to their quotidian life and work. Planning a rehabilitation schedule is, thus, important for an individual with an amputation to overcome complications and become independent, identifying their needs as soon as possible.

U adolescentnoj fazi, koja je obilježena naglim rastom i razvojem, djeca su podložna razvoju deformacija kralježnice. Deformacije kifoze, lordoze i skolioze koje su opisane u ovom radu uglavnom su idiopatske što znači da im uzrok nije poznat. Adolescentne skolioze zahvaćaju 2-3% opće populacije. Najčešća patološka adolescentna kifoza odnosno Scheuermannova bolest zahvaća 1-8% opće populacije dok su patološke lordoze nešto rjeđe. Pretpostavlja se da je najvažniji rizični čimbenik razvoja deformacije nasljedni genetski faktor, a mogući su razlozi još ustaljeno nepravilno držanje, psihološka i patološka stanja, urođeni defekti, usporeni ili nejednaki rast, smanjena mišićna snaga, nedostatak minerala u prehrani i drugo. Gledano sa strane normalna kralježnica ima četiri pravilna zavoja, cervikalnu lordozu, torakalnu kifozu, lumbalnu lordozu i sakralnu kifozu. Intervertebralni diskovi i ligamenti kralježnici daju pasivnu stabilnost dok mišići omogućuju aktivnu stabilnost. Prilikom razvoja deformacija ta stabilnost se narušava i posljedično tome može doći do problema sa srcem i plućima, neuroloških ispada, poremećaja cirkulacije. Pravovremenom dijagnostikom i početkom terapije smanjuje se šansa za povećanje deformacije. Iako postoje neinvazivne metode dijagnostike, poput površinske topografije, u praksi je i dalje zlatni standard za dijagnostiku deformacija kralježnice RTG. RTG-om se također provjerava stupanj okoštavanja ilijačne kosti i otvorenost ili zatvorenost radijalne epifizne hrskavice. Prestankom koštanog rasta nestaje fleksibilnost tijela te je puno teže doći do valjanih rezultata terapije. Stoga je bitno educirati dijete i roditelje o planovima terapije, mogućnostima napretka te naglasiti upornost i konzistentnost kao ključni dio terapije. Kirurška intervencija se primjenjuje u slučaju težih deformacija, a najčešće korištena je konzervativna terapija u smislu tjelovježbe i ortoza. Fizioterapijska procjena se sastoji od antropometrijskih mjerenja (visina, težina, duljina ekstremiteta, itd.), procjene mišićne snage i izdržljivosti, ravnoteže, koordinacije i propriocepcije. Procjenjuje se opseg pokreta te plućni kapaciteti i frekvencije disanja. Fizioterapeut uzima u obzir ritam hoda i način držanja tijela tokom hoda. U proces fizioterapije ubrajaju se istezanja skraćenih grupa mišića, vježbe motoričke kontrole pokreta, vježbe disanja i jačanje muskulature te manualna masaža za opuštanje napete muskulature. In the adolescent phase, which is characterized by rapid growth and development, children are susceptible to the development of spinal deformities. The deformities of kyphosis, lordosis, and scoliosis described in this paper are mostly idiopathic meaning that their cause is unknown. Ado-lescent scoliosis affects 2-3% of the general population. The most common pathological adoles-cent kyphosis or Scheuermann's disease affects 1-8% of the general population, while pathological lordosis is somewhat rarer. It is assumed that the most important risk factor for the development of deformity is a hereditary genetic factor, and possible reasons are still irregular posture, psycho-logical and pathological conditions, birth defects, slow or uneven growth, reduced muscle strength, lack of minerals in the diet and more. From a side profile, the normal spine has four regular bends, cervical lordosis, thoracic kyphosis, lumbar lordosis, and sacral kyphosis. The intervertebral discs and ligaments of the spine provide passive stability while the muscles provide active stability. During the development of deformities, this stability is disturbed and, as a result, heart and lung problems, neurological outbursts, and circulatory disorders can occur. Timely diagnosis and the beginning of therapy reduce the chance of increasing the deformity. Although there are non-inva-sive diagnostic methods, such as surface topography, in practice the gold standard for diagnosing spinal deformities are still X-rays. The reason for this may be insufficient financial resources or the habit and reliability of radiological examination. X-rays also check the degree of iliac bone ossification and the openness or closure of the radial epiphyseal cartilage. With the cessation of bone growth, the adaptability of the body to change disappears and it is much harder to get valid therapy results. Therefore, it is important to inform the child and parents about treatment plans, opportunities for progress and emphasize persistence and consistency as a key part of therapy. Surgical intervention is applied in case of severe deformities, and the most applied is conservative therapy using exercise and orthoses. Physiotherapy assessment consists of anthropometric meas-urements (height, weight, limb length, etc.), assessment of muscle strength and endurance, bal-ance, coordination, and proprioception. Movement range and pulmonary capacity and respiratory rate are assessed. The physiotherapist takes into account the rhythm of walking and the body pos-ture during walking. The process of physiotherapy includes stretching of shortened muscle groups, motor control exercises, breathing exercises and muscle strengthening, and manual massage to relax tense muscles.

U ovom radu opisana je problematika oštećenja, odnosno pareze plexusa brachialisa kod novorođenčadi. Plexus brachialis ili ručni živčani splet nastaje od korjenova pet spinalnih živaca – četiriju vratnih (C5-C8) i jednog prsnog (Th1). Oštećenja PB-a mogu nastati prenatalno, perinatalno i postnatalno, isto tako, postoje i brojni faktori rizika za nastanak oštećenja plexusa brachialisa: faktori rizika od strane djeteta, faktori rizika od strane majke, faktori rizika tijekom i nakon poroda. Klinička slika vidljiva je odmah po rođenju te je individualna i specifična za svako dijete, a težina ozljede klasificira se prema oštećenim korjenovima plexusa brachialisa: gornji tip lezije, srednji „prošireni“ tip lezije, donji tip lezije i kompletna lezija. Kod postavljanja dijagnoze lezije PB-a važno je detaljno uzimanje anamneze, a daljnji dijagnostički postupak obuhvaća klinički pregled, elektrodijagnostičke i radiološke postupke te razne dijagnostičke pretrage. Fizioterapijski pristup kod djece s oštećenjem plexusa brachialisa provodi se najprije kroz evaluaciju, da se raznim skalama i testovima utvrdi senzorna i motorna funkcija te da se ona prati kasnije kroz habilitaciju, odnosno terapiju. Nakon evaluacije stupa se u izradu individualnog habilitacijskog plana i programa. Osnovni elementi habilitacijskog tretmana sastoje se od pozicioniranja i baby handlinga, fizikalne terapije (kineziterapija, neurorazvojna terapija – Bobath koncept, Vojta koncept, senzorno osvješćivanje, elektrostimulacija, EMG biofeedback, hidroterapija, termoterapija, Botulinum toxin, edukacija roditelja), radne terapije, defektološko pedagoškog rada, kinezitapinga i operativnog liječenja. Ciljevi habilitacije odnose se na povratak senzorne i motoričke kontrole, održavanje i povećanje opsega pokreta, poticanje bilateralne funkcionalne aktivnosti, povećanje mišićne snage i sprječavanje nekih sekundarnih komplikacija. Kao mjerilo prognoze uzima se oporavak spontane motorike, ali i vrijeme kada dolazi do povratka neke funkcije. Prognoza naravno da ovisi i o tipu lezije i stupnju oštećenja živca. Postoje brojne mogućnosti i elementi habilitacije te treba izabrati one terapijske tretmane i postupke koje pacijentu najviše odgovaraju u tom trenutku. Uspjeh habilitacije ovisi o brojnim faktorima. This work describes the problem of damage to, that is the paresis of, the plexus brachialis in newborns. The plexus brachialis, i.e. the brachial plexus, develops out of five spinal nerves – four cervical (C5-C8) and one thoracic nerve (Th1). Damage to the PB can occur prenatally, perinatally and postnatally. A number of risk factors exist concerning the damage of the plexus brachialis: the child risk factors, the mother risk factors, and the risk factors during and after childbirth. The clinical picture is visible immediately post childbirth and is individual and specific to every child. The severity of injury is classified according to the damaged roots of the plexus brachialis: upper brachial plexus lesion, “middle” brachial plexus lesion, lower brachial plexus lesion, and whole brachial plexus lesion. While diagnosing a lesion of the PB, it is important to get a detailed anamnesis, while the further diagnostic process includes a clinical examination, electrodiagnostic and radiological procedures, and various diagnostic examinations. A physiotherapeutic approach to children suffering from damage to the plexus brachialis is firstly carried out through an evaluation using various scales and tests to determine the sensory and motor function and to keep track of it throughout habilitation, that is therapy. After evaluation follows the creation of an individual habilitation plan and program. Base elements of a habilitation treatment include positioning and baby handling, physical therapy (kinesitherapy, neuro-developmental therapy – Bobath concept, Vojta concept, electrostimulation, EMG biofeedback, hydrotherapy, thermotherapy, Botulinum toxin, parental education), occupational therapy, kinesiotaping and operational treatment. The goals of habilitation are to restore sensory and motor control, maintenance and increase in movement range, encouraging bilateral functional activity, increase in muscle strength and prevention of secondary complications. As a measure of prognosis, recovery of spontaneous motor skills and time until the return of some function is taken into account. The prognosis also depends on the type of lesion and degree of damage to the nerve. Numerous possibilities and habilitation elements exist, and the therapeutic treatments that suit the patient at any given moment should be chosen. The success of habilitation depends on numerous factors.

Tumori mogu biti maligni i benigni. Ako je riječ o malignom tumoru, on uništava zdravo tkivo. Da bi oporavak od tumora bio što uspješniji potrebno ga je čim prije otkriti. Ginekološki tumori su tumori koji se nalaze u ženskim reproduktivnim organima. Jedni su od najčešćih i najsmrtonosnijih oboljenja kod žena. Ženski spolni organi se dijele na vanjske i unutarnje. Anatomija ženskih spolnih organa se mijenja starenjem. Dno male zdjelice oblikuju mišići koji daju stabilnost i potporu trbušnim i zdjeličnim organima, utječu na intraabdominalni tlak, omogućuju seksualne funkcije, potpomažu kontroli mokrenja i defekacije. Na području ženskih spolnih organa se nalaze mnogi živci koji inerviraju to područje. Ginekološki tumori mogu zahvatiti tijelo maternice, jajnik i jajovod, stidnicu, rodnicu i vrat maternice. Na pojavnost tumora ovisi socijalno – ekonomski status žene, te godine i način života. Tumori često metastaziraju na okolna mjesta. Prvi simptomi tumora su često zanemareni. Kod uzimanja dijagnoze je bitno uzimanje anamneze, cjelokupni ginekološki pregled s PAPA testom uz dodatnu daljnju obradu. Najčešće se provodi operativno liječenje, zračenje i kemoterapija. Moguće je i provođenje hormonske terapije radi smanjenja mogućnosti metastaziranja tumora. Nakon ginekološkog operativnog zahvata bolesnici je potrebna individualna isplanirana fizioterapija. Prvi dio fizioterapije se provodi zbog prevencije postoperativnih komplikacija, a kasnije je cilj na jačanju mišića i vraćanju bolesnice u stanje prije operacije. Ciljevi rehabilitacije su aktivirati cirkulaciju i protok dišnih puteva, jačanje mišića i sprečavanje bolova u križima i naposljetku povratak na prethodne aktivnosti. Fizioterapijska procjena radi se po SOAP principu. U prvom dijelu rehabilitacije provodi se respiratorna fizioterapija. Kod vertikalizacije bolesnice potrebno je postupiti oprezno i postepeno. Vježbe cirkulacije se mogu izvoditi u ležećem ili sjedećem položaju. Uz svaku vježbu cirkulacije mogu se izvoditi i vježbe disanja. Kegelove vježbe se provode za jačanje mišića zdjeličnog dna. Potrebno je s njima početi čim prije moguće. Vježbe se izvode kontrakcijom mišića zdjeličnog dna. Mogu se izvoditi brzim i sporim tempom. Potrebno je jačati i trbušnu muskulaturu već dva do tri dana nakon operacije. Kada bolesnica savlada lakše vježbe za jačanje mišića intenzitet vježbi se povećava. Potrebno je jačati sve skupine mišića da bi se smanjila bol u križima i da bi držanje bolesnice bilo pravilno. Tijekom provođenja vježbi ne smije se osjećati bol, no neugodnost može biti prisutna. Kada se izvodi bilo koja vježba dah se ne smije zadržavati. Bez rehabilitacije i vježbanja nakon nje oporavak bolesnice ne može biti potpun. Biofeedback i električni impulsi IFS-a se izvodi u kombinaciji sa Kegelovim vježbama. Nakon završetka rehabilitacije fizioterapeut mora educirati bolesnicu o njenom načinu života najmanje 3 mjeseca nakon operacije. O obavljanju kućanskih poslova, povratku na posao i normalnim svakodnevnim aktivnostima. Savjetuje se hodanje na dnevnoj bazi. Ponekad se nakon operacije pojavi limfni edem zbog gomilanje tekućine u mekom tkivu. Limfni edem mogu ublažiti kompresivne čarape i manualna limfna drenaža. Cancers can be malignant and benign. Gynecological tumors are tumors that are found in the female reproductive organs. They are one of the most common and deadly diseases in women. Female genitals are divided into external and internal parts. The anatomy of the female genitals changes with age. The bottom of the small pelvis is formed by muscles that provide stability and support to the abdominal and pelvic organs, affect intra-abdominal pressure, enable sexual functions and they are helping to control urination and defecation. There are many nerves in the area of the female genitals that innervate that area. Gynecological tumors can affect the body of the uterus, ovary, and fallopian tubes, vulva, vagina, and cervix. The socio-economic status of a woman, her age, and lifestyle depend on the appearance of the tumor. Tumors often metastasize to surrounding organs. The first symptoms of the tumor are often ignored. When we are making a diagnosis, it is important to take a patient’s anamnesis, a complete gynecological examination with a PAPA test with additional further tests. Most commonly is performed surgical treatment, radiation and chemotherapy. It is also possible to perform hormone therapy to reduce the possibility of tumor metastasis. After the gynecological operation, the patient needs individually planned physiotherapy. The first part of physiotherapy is performed to prevent postoperative complications, and later the goal is to strengthen the muscles and return the patient to the state before the operation. The goals of rehabilitation are to activate circulation and airway flow, strengthen muscles and prevent low back pain, and ultimately return to previous activities. A physiotherapy assessment is done according to the SOAP principle. In the first part of the rehabilitation, in addition to breathing exercises, coughing exercises are also performed. When verticalizing the patient, it is necessary to act carefully and gradually. Circulation exercises can be performed in a lying or sitting position. Breathing exercises can be performed with each circulatory exercise. Kegel exercises are performed to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. It is necessary to start with them as soon as possible. The exercises are performed by contracting the pelvic floor muscles. They can be run at a fast and slow pace. It is necessary to strengthen the abdominal muscles as early as two to three days after the operation. When the patient masters lighter muscle strengthening exercises, the intensity of the exercise increases. It is necessary to strengthen all muscle groups to reduce low back pain and to keep the patient in a proper position. No pain should be felt during the exercises, but discomfort may be present. When performing any exercise, the breath must not be held. Without rehabilitation and exercise after it, the patient's recovery cannot be complete. Biofeedback and electrical impulses of IFS are performed in combination with Kegel exercises. When rehabilitation is done, the physiotherapist must educate the patient about her lifestyle for at least 3 months after surgery. About doing housework, going back to work, and normal daily activities. Walking on a daily basis is advised. Sometimes lymphedema occurs after surgery due to the accumulation of fluid in the soft tissue. Lymphedema can be relieved by compression stockings and manual lymphatic drainage.

Reumatske bolesti su skup različitih bolesti, koje pretežno oštećuju lokomotorni sustav i imaju zajedničke značajke. Reumatske bolesti mogu se podijeliti u četiri velike skupine: upalni reumatizam, degenerativni reumatizam, izvanzglobni reumatizam i metaboličke bolesti kostiju i zglobova. Seronegativni spondiloartritisi su skupina upalnih reumatskih bolesti koje dijele mnogo zajedničkih obilježja (klinička, radiološka i genetska) i imaju sličan patogenetski mehanizam nastanka te način liječenja. Ankilozantni spondilitis, reaktivni artritis, psorijatični artritis, enteropatski artritis te nediferencirani artritis, bolesti su koje pripadaju seronegativnim spondiloartrtisima. Cilj liječenja seronegativnih spondiloatritisa je smanjenje boli i upale s očuvanjem funkcije i sprječavanjem razvoja teških kontraktura i deformiteta. Bol je intenzivna, perzistentna i ograničavajuća. Ankilozantni spondilitis (AS) je sustavna, progresivna te upalna bolest koja je ime dobila po tome što patološki proces izaziva ankilozu odnosno dovodi do gubitka zglobne pokretljivosti zbog sraštavanja kostiju unutar zgloba ili kalcificiranja okolnih ligamenata. Prvi simptomi bolesti javljaju se u dobi od 20. do 40.godine života. Procjenjuje se da oko 80% oboljelih prve simptome dobije prije 30. godine života. Etiologija ankilozantnog spondilitisa nije u potpunosti poznata, no na samu pojavu bolesti mogu utjecati mnogi faktori. Bolest najčešće počinje lagano i postupno, a tegobe se javljaju nakon nekoliko tjedana ili mjeseci. Ankilozantni spondilitis ima dva stadija, predspondilitički i spondilitički. Kako bolest napreduje tako kralješci sraštavaju, što dovodi do ukočenosti kralježnice i invaliditeta. Dijagnoza se postavlja na temelju anamneze, kliničke slike, fizikalnog pregleda, laboratorijskog i radiološkog nalaza. Postoji New York Modificirani kriterij koji pomaže pri dijagnosticiranju. Rheumatic diseases can be divided into four big groups: inflammatory rheumatism, degenerative rheumatism, extraarticular rheumatism, and bone and joint metabolic illnesses. Seronegative spondyloarthritis is a group of inflammatory rheumatic diseases which are divided into groups which share a lot of characteristics (clinical, radiological and genetical) and have similar pathogenic mechanisms of creation, therefore a similar way of treatment. Ankylosing spondylitis, reactive arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, enteropathic arthritis and nondifferential arthritis are diseases that belong to seronegative spondyloarthritis. The goal of treating seronegative spondyloarthritis is reducing pain and inflammation with emphasis on preservation of function and stopping the development of serious contractures and deformities. The pain is intense, persistent and limiting. Ankylosing spondylitis is a systematic, progressive and inflammatory disease, which got its name because the pathological process evokes ankylosis, it leads to loss of joint mobility because of bone scaring inside a joint or calcification of surrounding ligaments. The first symptoms of illness occur in the age range of 20 to 40 years old. It is estimated that 80% of effected people experienced the first symptoms before the age of 30. Ethology is not entirely known, but there are many different factors that can influence the occurrence of the illness. The disease usually starts slowly and gradually, symptoms occur within a few weeks or months. Ankylosing spondylitis has two stages. As the disease progresses, the vertebrae fuse, which leads to stiffness of the spine and can lead to a disability. The diagnosis is established on the foundation of anamnesis, clinical picture, physical examination, laboratory and radiological findings. Ankylosing spondylitis is treated symptomatically; the goal is to diminish pain and inflammation and preserve the functionality of a patient. Treatment includes pharmacological and non-pharmacological part and can even lead to surgery. The treatment needs to start by educating the patient. Rehabilitation includes individual kinesitherapy, electrotherapy, balneotherapy, hydrotherapy, ultrasound and diathermy. Long-term consequences for people suffering from ankylosing spondylitis can vary and are hard to predict.

Kirurški postupak ugradnje endoproteze, odnosno umjetnog zgloba značajno poboljšava kvalitetu ţivota pacijenta. Zglob kuka zbog svojih anatomskih karakteristika i biomehaničkih odnosa najvaţniju ulogu ima za odrţavanje tijela u ravnoteţi kao i pravilan hod. Kao i svaki zglob u tijelu, podloţan je promjenama koje mogu značajno narušiti svakodnevicu, te samim tim mogu zahtijevati intervencije na zglobu. Kada je funkcija zgloba kuka bitno narušena, pristupa se ugradnji endoproteze. Indikacije za endoprotezu mogu biti degenerativne promjene, razne traume ili neki priroĎeni poremećaji. Degenerativna promjena koksartroza gotovo uvijek dovodi do kirurškog zahvata zbog svoje progresije. Ovisno o operateru te pacijentu, zahvat je moguće provesti na više načina ovisno o odabranom pristupu na kuk. Danas se najviše koriste direktan prednji pristup, lateralni te straţnji pristup. Razlika je u mjestu ulaska u zglob te oštećenjima mišića samim zahvatom. Nakon zahvata, neophodna je fizikalna terapija. Proces fizikalne terapije počinje odmah postoperativno, već prvi dan nakon zahvata. Pacijenta se educira o novonastalim ograničenjima, te što i kako smije raditi s obzirom na zahvat. Provode se vjeţbe disanja, vjeţbe jačanja i fleksibilnosti, propriocepcije te se uči pravilan obrazac hoda. Primjenjuju se i fizikalne metode poput elektroterapije te krioterapije. Rehabilitacija nakon zahvata se provodi u ustanovi za fizikalnu terapiju, a prati se po tjednima. Smatra se da se u periodu od tri do četiri mjeseca nakon rehabilitacije pacijent moţe vratiti gotovo svim aktivnostima svakodnevnog ţivota od ranije, naravno uz pregled i konzultaciju s liječnikom. The surgical procedure of implanting an endoprosthesis (artificial joint), significantly improves patient's quality of life. Due to its anatomical and biomechanical characteristics the hip joint plays the most important role in maintaining the body in balance and proper gait. Hip joint changes over time and that can significantly disrupt everyday life. Therefore may require interventions on the joint. When the function of the hip joint is significantly impaired, the implantation of an endoprosthesis is needed. Indications for endoprosthesis can be degenerative changes, various traumas or some congenital disorders. A degenerative disease, coxarthrosis, is the most common cause of endoprosthesis implantation. Depending on the operator and the patient, the procedure can be performed in several ways. Today, the most commonly used procedures are direct anterior, lateral and posterior approach. The difference is in the place of entry into the joint and the damage to the muscles by the procedure itself. After the procedure, physical therapy is necessary. The process of physical therapy begins immediately postoperatively, on the first day after the surgery. The patient is educated about the new limitations, and what and how he can do with regard to the procedure. Physiotherapist conducts diaphragmatic breathing exercises, strengthening, flexibility and proprioception exercises with the patient. Rehabilitation also includes re-learning proper gait. Physical methods such as electrotherapy and cryotherapy are also used. Rehabilitation after the procedure is performed in a physical therapy facility, and is monitored weekly. It is believed that in the period from three to four months after the rehabilitation, patient can return to almost all activities of daily life from before.

Fizioterapija u ginekologiji i porodništvu svakim danom postaje traženija i sve više integrirana u ginekološke procese kod trudnica, rodilja, ali i svih preostalih žena koje su suočene sa problemima u toj domeni. Trudnoća je razdoblje brojnih fizičkih, psihičkih i drugih promjena te kao takva zahtjeva stalnu skrb i nadzor više različitih medicinskih stručnjaka. Svaka trudnoća predstavlja individualno stanje koje potencijalno može biti popraćeno određenim komplikacijama i bolnim stanjima koja zahtijevaju specifičan pristup od strane više biomedicinskih grana pa tako i fizioterapije. Bolna stanja u trudnoći predstavljaju široki spektar stanja. Ona se za vrijeme trudnoće javljaju zbog fizioloških, posturalnih i hormonalnih promjena, mehaničkog stresa, porasta tjelesne težine i nekih drugih čimbenika. Trudnoća, kao jedno individualno iskustvo i stanje, predstavlja vremenski period brojnih promjena i prilagodba tjelesnih sustava tijela. No, tako je moguća pojava različitih teškoća i komplikacija. Fizička aktivnost i vježbanje u trudnoći donose brojne dobrobiti. Prednosti vježbanja u trudnoći odnose se i na trudnicu i na fetus, odnosno dijete. Porođaj je istiskivanje fetusa i preostalih produkata začeća u vremenskom razdoblju od 37. do 42. tjedna trudnoće te kao takav predstavlja porodni mehanizam. Rađanje ovisi o više čimbenika. Cilj ovog rada je ispitati kakvo je iskustvo rodilja sa fizioterapijom, korištenjem fizioterapijskih tretmana za vrijeme trudnoće i poslije poroda te dostupnošću istih. Također, ispitati postoje li razlike u korištenju fizioterapijskih tretmana između rodilja koje su rodile vaginalnim porodom ili carskim rezom te jesu li ili nisu imale potrebu za fizioterapijom i zašto. Podaci za ovo istraživanje prikupljeni su pomoću online anketnog upitnika na uzorku od 155 sudionica (N=155). Prikupljeni podaci su statistički obrađeni i interpretirani. Iz rezultata koji proizlaze iz istraživanja uočljivo je kako su sudionice nezadovoljne dostupnošću fizioterapijskih tretmana i usluga te informacijama o istima. Također, sudionice navode potrebu za fizioterapijom te da bi rado pristupile fizioterapijskoj procjeni i tretmanima. Pregnancy is a period of numerous physical, mental and other changes and as such requires constant care and supervision of several different medical professionals. Each pregnancy is an individual condition that can potentially be accompanied by certain complications and painful conditions that require a specific approach by several biomedical branches, including physiotherapy. Painful conditions in pregnancy represent many conditions. They occur during pregnancy due to physiological, postural and hormonal changes, mechanical stress, weight gain and various factors. Pregnancy, as an individual experience and condition, represents a period of time with numerous changes and adjustments of the body's bodily systems. However, various difficulties and complications are possible. Physical activity and exercise in pregnancy may carry many benefits. The benefits of exercise in pregnancy apply to both the pregnant woman and the fetus/child. Childbirth is the displacement of the fetus and the remaining products of conception in the period from the 37th to the 42nd week of pregnancy and as such represents the birth mechanism. Birth itself is reliant on many factors. The goal of this paper is to examine the experience of mothers with physiotherapy, the use of physiotherapy treatments during pregnancy and after childbirth and their availability. Also, it should be studied whether there are any differences in the use of physiotherapy treatments between mothers who gave birth by vaginal delivery and those which delivered by cesarean section and whether or not they needed physiotherapy and why. Data for this study was collected using an online survey questionnaire of a sample containing 155 participants (N = 155). The collected data was statistically processed and interpreted. As the results of this study it is evident that the participants are dissatisfied with the availability of physiotherapy treatments and services and the information available. Also, the participants state the need for physiotherapy and that they would like to learn more about physiotherapy assessment and treatments.

U ovom završnom radu opisana je povijest, navedena su pravila boksa, te su opisane najčešće ozljede koje su prisutne u amaterskom i profesionalnom boksu. Dvjema ozljedama je posvećena pažnja, opisana anatomija, mehanizam nastanka, fizioterapijska procjena i intervencija. Sa ozljedama gležnja i šake, ili barem jednom od tih ozljeda, susreće se skoro svaki profesionalni, a isto tako i amaterski boksač. Shodno tome potrebno je znati koji je najbolji i najlakši način saniranja istih. Što sigurniji povratak je jedan od primarnih ciljeva i nama i boksaču, ali ipak najbitnije je da se rehabilitacijom osobu dovede u stanje u kojem je bila prije ozljede, sa minimalnim ili što je bolje moguće – nikakvim ili minimaliziranim posljedicama na zdravlje. Zbog toga moramo pristupiti liječenju i rehabilitaciji pacijenta sa puno znanja i opreza u ovom kontaktnom sportu. Neadekvatna procjena i prebrzo vraćanje u natjecateljski ili trenažni proces može rezultirati ne samo ponovnim brzim ozljeđivanjem, već radi specifičnosti velikih sila kojima se djeluje na tijelo sportaša, može donijeti do trajnih posljedica na zdravlje. Na temelju istraživanja sastavljen je pregled koji počinje sa ozljedom, a završava sa ozdravljenjem. Navedene ozljede su vrlo rasprostranjene, ne samo u boksu, već i u svim ostalim sportovima, ali su ipak ponajviše zastupljene u boksu. This final paper describes history, rules of boxing and most common injuries that appear in amateur and professional boxing. Attention was paid to two injuries, in which was described their anatomy, mechanism of origin so as the assessment and intervention. Ankle and fist injuries, or at least one of them, are encountered by almost every professional as well as amateur boxer. It is important to know how to repair them in the most easiest way. Safer return is important goal for us as well as the boxer, but the most important thing is to bring back the state boxer was in before the injurie, with minimal health consequences. Therefore, we must approach the treatment of our patient with a lot of knowledge and caution. Inadequate assessment and rapid return to training process can lead to lasting health consequences. Based on the research, examination is complied that begins with the injury and ends in recovery. These injuries are common, not only in boxing, but in all other sports, but mostly represented in boxing.

Pojam fizioterapijske procjene podrazumijeva proces prikupljanja svih relevantnih informacija koje su potrebne kako bi se problemu moglo pristupiti na ispravan i što bolji način. Prikupljaju se sve potrebne informacije o problemu, a ujedno i o preostalim sposobnostima funkcioniranja bolesnika kako bi se osigurala kvalitetna fizioterapeutska rehabilitacija. Fizioterapijska procjena hoda se provodi kod osoba s mišićnom distrofijom. Fizioterapeutska procjena se individualno prilagođava prema bolesniku te prema konkretnim osobitostima njegova oštećenja. Konkretno u ovom primjeru mišićne distrofije usmjerava se na funkcioniranje te na osposobljenost u odnosu na konkretne faktore okoline, odnosno na fizioterapijsku procjenu hoda. Na taj način procjena je kompletan način dobivanja uvida u stanje raznih motoričkih problema te sposobnosti koje su preostale kako bi se omogućilo problemski orijentirano pozicioniranje tretmana za bolesnika. Cilj fizioterapijske procjene stoga je konkretno postavljanje bolesnika u samo središte tretmana kako bi došlo do povećavanja njegove participacije u samom procesu rehabilitacije. The term physiotherapeutic assessment implies the process of gathering all the relevant information that is needed in order to approach the problem in the right way. All the necessary information about the problem is collected, as well as about the remaining abilities of the patient to function in order to ensure quality physiotherapeutic rehabilitation. Physiotherapeutic assessment of gait is performed in people with muscular dystrophy. Physiotherapeutic assessment is individually adjusted to the patient and to the specific features of his impairment. Specifically, in this example of muscular dystrophy, the functioning and ability in relation to specific environmental factors, ie the physiotherapeutic assessment of gait, is assessed. In this way, the assessment is a complete way of gaining insight into various motor problems and the abilities that are left to enable problem-oriented positioning of treatment for the patient. The goal of physiotherapy assessment is therefore to specifically place the patient at the very center of treatment in order to increase his or her participation in the rehabilitation process itself.
