The conclusions of EFSA following the peer review of the initial risk assessments carried out by the competent authorities of the rapporteur Member State the United Kingdom and co‐rapporteur Member State Greece for the pesticide active substance mancozeb are reported. The context of the peer review was that required by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 844/2012. The conclusions were reached on the basis of the evaluation of the representative uses of mancozeb as a fungicide on wheat (winter/spring), grapevine, potatoes and tomatoes. The reliable end points, appropriate for use in regulatory risk assessment are presented. Missing information identified as being required by the regulatory framework is listed. Concerns are identified.

In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the applicants Bayer SAS Crop Science and the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board submitted two requests to the competent national authority in the United Kingdom to modify the existing maximum residue levels (MRLs) for prothioconazole in rapeseeds and celeriacs, respectively. The data submitted in support of the requests were found to be sufficient to derive MRL proposals for these crops. The applicant Bayer SAS Crop Science additionally submitted a request to the competent national authority in the United Kingdom to evaluate the confirmatory data identified in the framework of the MRL review under Article 12 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 as not available. To address the data gaps, residue trials on carrots, onions, rapeseeds and wheat, and storage stability studies were submitted. The data gaps are considered fully addressed for the root and tuber vegetables, the oilseeds concerned and wheat. The data gaps have been partially addressed for onions, shallots, flowering brassica, Brussels sprouts, head cabbages, leeks, rye, barely and oat. The data gaps were not addressed for pulses and grass. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concluded that the short‐term and long‐term intake of residues resulting from the existing and intended uses of prothioconazole according to the reported agricultural practices is unlikely to present a risk to consumer health. For the triazole derivative metabolites (TDMs), only an indicative exposure assessment was performed considering celeriacs and rapeseeds; the results showed that the expected exposure to TDMs in these commodities is well below the toxicological reference values derived for the TDMs.

In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the applicants Bayer CropScience AG and Bayer SAS submitted two requests to the competent national authority in the Netherlands to set import tolerances and to modify existing EU maximum residue levels (MRLs) for the active substance flupyradifurone and its metabolite difluoroacetic acid (DFA) in various crops. The application also included the request to evaluate the confirmatory data related to residues that were identified in the framework of the peer review of flupyradifurone under Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 as not available. The data submitted in support of intended and authorised uses were found to be sufficient to derive MRL proposals for flupyradifurone and DFA in all crops under consideration except for prickly pear and hops; for grapefruit, pome fruits, grape leaves and witloof, further risk management discussion is recommended to decide on the appropriate MRL. Furthermore, EFSA recommended risk management discussion to examine different options to deal with DFA residues in crops that can be grown in crop rotation. The calculated livestock dietary burdens indicated that existing EU MRLs for flupyradifurone and DFA in animal commodities need to be modified. Adequate analytical methods for enforcement are available to control the residues of flupyradifurone and the DFA in plant and animal matrices. The submitted data are considered sufficient to address the data gaps related to residues which were identified in the framework of the EU pesticides peer review, and thus, the footnotes set for DFA and flupyradifurone MRLs in the Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/1902 can be deleted. Based on the consumer exposure assessment, acute consumer exposure concerns could not be excluded for tomatoes, melons, celery and processed escaroles. Hence, the raising of the existing MRLs for flupyradifurone in these crops is not recommended. For these four crops, MRL proposals for DFA were derived, which reflect the uptake of residues via soil resulting from previous use of flupyradifurone. For the remaining commodities of plant and animal origin, EFSA concludes that the intended EU uses and authorised US and Canadian uses of flupyradifurone and resulting residues of DFA will not result in chronic or acute consumer exposure exceeding the toxicological reference values and therefore is unlikely to pose a risk to consumers’ health.

The conclusions of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) following the peer review of the initial risk assessments carried out by the competent authority of the rapporteur Member State Italy for the pesticide active substance lavandulylsenecioateare reported. The context of the peer review was that required by Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council.The conclusions were reached on the basis of the evaluation of the representative uses evaluated as a pheromone comprising manual applications to control Planococcusficus (vine mealybug) populations by mating disruption in table grape, wine grape, raisins and any other crops where P. ficus may be a pest in Southern Europe. The reliable endpoints,appropriate for use in regulatory risk assessmentare presented. Missing information identified as being required by the regulatory framework is listed.Concerns are identified.

The conclusions of the EFSA following the peer review of the initial risk assessment carried out by the competent authority of the rapporteur Member State, Greece, for the pesticide active substance dithianon are reported. The context of the peer review was that requested by the European Commission following the submission and evaluation of confirmatory mammalian toxicology and residues data. The conclusions were reached on the basis of the evaluation of the representative uses of dithianon as a fungicide on table and wine grapes and on pome fruit. The reliable endpoints concluded as being appropriate for use in regulatory risk assessment, derived from the available studies and literature in the dossier peer reviewed, are presented. Concerns are identified.

According to Article 12 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, EFSA has reviewed the maximum residue levels (MRLs) currently established at European level for the pesticide active substance 6‐benzyladenine. To assess the occurrence of 6‐benzyladenine residues in plants, processed commodities, rotational crops and livestock, EFSA considered the conclusions derived in the framework of Commission Regulation (EC) No 33/2008, as well as the European authorisations reported by Member States (including the supporting residues data). Based on the assessment of the available data, MRL proposals were derived and a consumer risk assessment was carried out. All information required by the regulatory framework was present and a risk to consumers was not identified.

In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the applicant Indofil Industries Limited submitted a request to the competent national authority in Germany to modify the existing maximum residue levels (MRLs) for the active substance mancozeb in garlic, broccoli, cauliflowers and leeks. The data submitted in support of the request were found to be sufficient to derive MRL proposals for the crops under consideration. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA derived recommendations for further consideration by the risk managers. Adequate analytical methods for enforcement are available to control the residues of mancozeb in the crops under consideration.

In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the applicant Syngenta Crop Protection AG submitted a request to the competent national authority in Portugal to set import tolerances for the active substance lufenuron in grapefruits, oranges, limes, pome fruits, peppers, coffee, sugar canes, muscle, fat, liver and kidney on the basis of the authorised uses of lufenuron in Brazil, Chile and Morocco. The data submitted in support of the request were found to be sufficient to derive maximum residue level (MRL) proposals for all commodities under assessment. For oranges, limes, pome fruits, peppers and coffee beans and commodities of animal origin, the submitted data indicated no need to modify the existing EU MRLs. For grapefruits and sugar cane, the residue data indicated that higher MRLs would be needed. Adequate analytical methods for enforcement are available to control the residues of lufenuron in plant and animal matrices. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concluded that the existing EU uses and the authorised uses of lufenuron in Brazil, Chile and Morocco will not result in chronic consumer exposure exceeding the toxicological reference value. Considering, however, that the estimated exposure is close to the acceptable daily intake (ADI) and in the light of the expiry of the approval of the active substance, EFSA recommends the review of the existing MRLs taking into account that the MRLs based on the EU uses will become obsolete.

The applicant Syngenta submitted a request to the competent national authority in the United Kingdom to evaluate the confirmatory data that were identified for azoxystrobin in the framework of the MRL review under Article 12 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 as not available, and to consider new good agricultural practices (GAPs) for lettuces and other salad plants. To address the data gaps, new residue trials performed on open leaf varieties of lettuce supporting adjusted indoor, northern and southern GAPs, an assessment of the genotoxicity of the livestock metabolites L1, L4 and L9 and an assessment of the human dietary exposure to the livestock metabolites L1, L4 and L9 were submitted. The data gaps were considered partially addressed. The new information provided may require a revision (lowering) of the existing MRLs for lettuce and other salad plants and further risk management consideration for MRLs in animal commodities.

According to Article 12 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, EFSA has reviewed the maximum residue levels (MRLs) currently established at European level for the pesticide active substance aminopyralid. To assess the occurrence of aminopyralid residues in plants, processed commodities, rotational crops and livestock, EFSA considered the conclusions derived in the framework of Commission Regulation (EU) No 188/2011, the MRLs established by the Codex Alimentarius Commission as well as the European authorisations reported by Member States (including the supporting residues data). Based on the assessment of the available data, MRL proposals were derived and a consumer risk assessment was carried out. All information required by the regulatory framework was present and a risk to consumers was not identified.

In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the applicant Landesanstalt für Landwirtschaft und Gartenbau (LLG) submitted a request to the competent national authority in Germany to modify the existing maximum residue levels (MRLs) for the active substance aclonifen in fennel seed and caraway fruit. The data submitted in support of the request were found to be sufficient to derive MRL proposals for the crops under consideration. Adequate analytical methods for enforcement are available to control the residues of aclonifen in the plant matrices under consideration at the validated limit of quantification (LOQ) of 0.01 mg/kg. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concluded that the short‐term and long‐term intake of residues resulting from the uses of aclonifen according to the reported agricultural practices is unlikely to present a risk to consumer health.

The conclusions of the EFSA following the peer review of the initial risk assessments carried out by the competent authority of the rapporteur Member State, France, for the pesticide active substance prosulfuron are reported. The context of the peer review was that required by Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council. The conclusions were reached on the basis of the evaluation of the representative uses of prosulfuron as a herbicide on maize and sweet corn. Following the renewal of approval, prosulfuron has been renewed with the restriction that the use shall be limited to one application every 3 years. This assessment follows the request of the applicant to lift the restriction of the approval conditions. The reliable end points, appropriate for use in regulatory risk assessment, are presented. Missing information identified as being required by the regulatory framework is listed. Concerns are identified.

In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the applicant Syngenta Crop Protection AG submitted a request to the competent national authority in the Netherlands to set an import tolerance for the active substance abamectin in various commodities imported from the United States of America. The data submitted in support of the request were found to be sufficient to derive MRL proposals for tree nuts, peaches, avocados, lettuces and salad plants, spinaches and similar leaves, Florence fennels and cotton seed. Adequate analytical methods for enforcement are available to control the residues of abamectin on the commodities under consideration. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concluded that the short‐term and long‐term intake of residues resulting from the use of abamectin according to the reported agricultural practices is unlikely to present a risk to consumer health.

According to Article 12 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, EFSA has reviewed the maximum residue levels (MRLs) currently established at European level for the pesticide active substance prochloraz. To assess the occurrence of prochloraz residues in plants, processed commodities, rotational crops and livestock, EFSA considered the conclusions derived in the framework of Directive 91/414/EEC, the MRLs established by the Codex Alimentarius Commission as well as the European authorisations reported by Member States (including the supporting residues data). Based on the assessment of the available data, MRL proposals were derived and a consumer risk assessment was carried out. Some information required by the regulatory framework was missing and a possible acute risk to consumers was identified. Hence, the consumer risk assessment is considered indicative only, some MRL proposals derived by EFSA still require further consideration by risk managers and measures for reduction of the consumer exposure should also be considered.

In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the applicant LTZ Augustenberg submitted a request to the competent national authority in Germany to modify the existing maximum residue levels (MRLs) for the active substance potassium phosphonates in raspberries, blackberries, currants, blueberries, gooseberries and elderberries. The data submitted in support of the request were found to be sufficient to derive MRL proposals for all crops under consideration. Adequate analytical methods for enforcement are available to control the residues of potassium phosphonates in plant matrices under consideration. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concluded that the proposed uses of potassium phosphonates on raspberries, blackberries, currants, blueberries, gooseberries and elderberries will not result in a consumer exposure exceeding the toxicological reference values and therefore are unlikely to present a risk to consumers’ health.

The conclusions of EFSA following the peer review of the initial risk assessments carried out by the competent authorities of the rapporteur Member State, Latvia, and co‐rapporteur Member State, France, for the pesticide active substance zoxamide are reported. The context of the peer review was that required by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 844/2012. The conclusions were reached on the basis of the evaluation of the representative uses of zoxamide as a fungicide on wine and table grapes, and potatoes. The reliable end points, appropriate for use in regulatory risk assessment, are presented. Missing information identified as being required by the regulatory framework is listed. Concerns are identified.

In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the applicant Bayer CropScience AG submitted a request to the competent national authority in Germany to modify the existing maximum residue level (MRL) for the active substance clothianidin to accommodate the use on potatoes imported from Canada. The data submitted in support of the request were found to be sufficient to derive a MRL proposal. Adequate analytical methods for enforcement are available to control clothianidin residues on the commodity under consideration. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concluded that the short‐term and long‐term intake of residues resulting from the use of clothianidin according to the notified agricultural practice in Canada is unlikely to present a risk to consumer health.

The conclusions of EFSA following the peer review of the initial risk assessment carried out by the competent authority of the rapporteur Member State, the United Kingdom, for the pesticide risk assessment for the triazole derivative metabolites are reported. The context of the peer review was that requested by the European Commission following the submission and evaluation of confirmatory data in relation to mammalian toxicology, metabolism and residue data. The conclusions were reached on the basis of the evaluation of various uses for a number of triazole fungicides. Recommendations are proposed. Missing information identified as being required by the regulatory framework is listed. Concerns are identified.

In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the applicants ADAMA Agriculture Espana S.A., Sapec Agro SAU and LSA (Landesanstalt für Landwirtschaft, Forsten und Gartenbau) submitted requests to the competent national authorities in Spain and Germany, to modify the existing maximum residue levels (MRLs) for the active substance tebuconazole in olives, rice, herbs and herbal infusions (dried). The data submitted in support of the requests were found to be sufficient to derive MRL proposals for all the crops under consideration. Adequate analytical methods for enforcement are available to control the residues of tebuconazole on the commodities under consideration at the validated limit of quantification (LOQ) of 0.02 mg/kg. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concluded that the short‐term and long‐term intake of residues resulting from the use of tebuconazole according to the reported agricultural practices is unlikely to present a risk to consumer health.

The applicant Syngenta submitted a request to the competent national authority in France to evaluate the confirmatory data that were identified in the framework of the maximum residue level (MRL) review under Article 12 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 as not available. The applicant provided residue trials on strawberries representative for an adjusted Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) and a new feeding study in ruminants. The data gaps identified in the MRL review were considered satisfactorily addressed, except for the southern adjusted GAP on strawberries. The new residue data confirm the existing tentative MRL for strawberries; EFSA proposed – based on the new feeding study in ruminants – amendments of the existing MRLs for certain animal products for further risk management consideration. EFSA updated the most recent consumer risk assessment for fludioxonil and concluded that the long‐term dietary intake is unlikely to present a risk to consumer health.

In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Council submitted a request to the competent national authority in the United Kingdom to modify the existing maximum residue levels (MRL) for the active substance flonicamid in beetroots, carrots, celeriacs/turnip rooted celeries, horseradishes, Jerusalem artichokes, parsnips, parsley roots/Hamburg roots parsley, radishes, salsifies, swedes/rutabagas, turnips. The data submitted in support of the request were found to be sufficient to derive MRL proposals for the commodities concerned. Adequate analytical methods for enforcement are available to control the residues of flonicamid in the crops under consideration at the validated limit of quantification (LOQ) of 0.01 mg/kg for each analyte of the residue definition and in animal matrices at the validated LOQ of 0.01 mg/kg for each analyte of the residue definition. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concluded that the short‐term and long‐term intake of residues resulting from the use of flonicamid according to the reported agricultural practices is unlikely to present a risk to consumer health.

In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the applicant Adama Irvita N.V. submitted a request to the competent national authority in Denmark to modify the existing maximum residue levels (MRLs) for the active substance tau‐fluvalinate in citrus fruits. The data submitted in support of the request were found to be sufficient to derive a MRL proposal of 0.4 mg/kg for citrus fruit under consideration. Adequate analytical methods for enforcement are available to control the residues of tau‐fluvalinate in the commodities under consideration. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concluded that the short‐term and long‐term intake of residues resulting from the use of tau‐fluvalinate on citrus fruits according to the reported agricultural practice is unlikely to present a risk to consumer health.

According to Article 12 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, EFSA has reviewed the maximum residue levels (MRLs) currently established at European level for the pesticide active substance thiencarbazone‐methyl. To assess the occurrence of thiencarbazone‐methyl residues in plants, processed commodities, rotational crops and livestock, EFSA considered the conclusions derived in the framework of Commission Regulation (EU) No 188/2011 as well as the European authorisations reported by Member States (including the supporting residues data). Based on the assessment of the available data, MRL proposals were derived and a consumer risk assessment was carried out. The context of the peer review was that required by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 844/2012. The conclusions were reached on the basis of the evaluation of the representative uses of spinosad as an insecticide on bulb/dry onions, maize (fodder and grain), sweet corn, grapes (table and wine), lettuce, potato, aubergine, pepper and tomato. MRLs were assessed in field leek and field and glasshouse strawberries, cane fruits, lettuce and plants salad (others), spinach and similar leaves (others), herbs and edible flowers (others), cardoons, rhubarb and animal commodities. The reliable end points, appropriate for use in regulatory risk assessment and the proposed MRLs, are presented. Missing information identified as being required by the regulatory framework is listed. Concerns are identified.

In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the applicant, BASF SE, submitted an application to the competent national authority in Greece to modify the existing maximum residue level (MRL) for the active substance mepiquat in cotton seeds. The data submitted in support of the application were found to be sufficient to derive a MRL proposal for cotton seeds and the previously derived MRL proposals for animal commodities were found to be still valid. Adequate analytical methods for enforcement are available to control the residues of mepiquat chloride in the plant and animal commodities under consideration at the validated limit of quantification (LOQ) of 0.01 mg/kg. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concluded that the short-term and long-term intake of residues resulting from the use of mepiquat chloride according to the reported agricultural practices is unlikely to present a risk to consumer health.

In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the applicant Nufarm España S.A. submitted an application to the competent national authority in Spain to modify the existing maximum residue levels (MRL) for the active substance dichlorprop‐P in citrus fruits (except oranges). The data submitted in support of the request were found to be sufficient to derive MRL proposals for all crops under consideration. Adequate analytical methods for enforcement are available to control the residues of dichlorprop‐P in citrus fruits. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concluded that the short‐term and long‐term intake of residues resulting from the use of dichlorprop‐P according to the reported agricultural practices is unlikely to present a risk to consumer health.

According to Article 12 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, EFSA has reviewed the maximum residue levels (MRLs) currently established at European level for the pesticide active substance benalaxyl‐M. To assess the occurrence of benalaxyl‐M residues in plants, processed commodities, rotational crops and livestock, EFSA considered the conclusions derived in the framework of Commission Regulation (EU) No 188/2011, the European authorisations for benalaxyl‐M reported by Member States (including the supporting residues data) and also the authorised uses of benalaxyl reviewed by EFSA in the past (as they may generate common residues with benalaxyl‐M) and the MRLs established for benalaxyl by the Codex Alimentarius Commission. Based on the assessment of the available data, MRL proposals were derived and a consumer risk assessment was carried out. Although no apparent risk to consumers was identified, some information required by the regulatory framework was missing. Hence, the consumer risk assessment is considered indicative only and all MRL proposals derived by EFSA still require further consideration by risk managers.

In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the competent national authority in Belgium prepared a request to modify the existing maximum residue levels (MRLs) for the active substance spirotetramat in Florence fennels and rhubarbs. Furthermore, in accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the applicant Bayer SAS submitted a request to the competent national authority in Austria to modify the existing MRLs for spirotetramat in the group of other small fruits and berries, kiwi fruits and garlic. The data submitted in support to both requests were found to be sufficient to derive MRL proposals for all the crops under consideration. Adequate analytical methods are available to enforce the proposed MRLs. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concluded that the short‐term and long‐term intake of residues resulting from the use of spirotetramat according to the intended agricultural practices is unlikely to present a risk to consumer health.

According to Article 12 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, EFSA has reviewed the maximum residue levels (MRLs) currently established at European level for the pesticide active substance hymexazol. To assess the occurrence of hymexazol residues in plants, processed commodities, rotational crops and livestock, EFSA considered the conclusions derived in the framework of Commission Regulation (EC) No 33/2008 as well as the European authorisations reported by Member States (including the supporting residues data). Based on the assessment of the available data, MRL proposals were derived and a consumer risk assessment was carried out. The reliable end points, appropriate for use in regulatory risk assessment are presented.

In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the applicant Dow AgroSciences Ltd submitted a request to the competent national authority in France and the Netherlands to modify the existing maximum residue levels (MRL) for the active substance spinetoram in several crops. The data submitted in support of the requests were found to be sufficient for making several MRL proposals for the crops under consideration. Adequate analytical methods for enforcement are available to control the residues of spinetoram on the commodities under consideration. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concluded that a risk from short‐term intake cannot be excluded for escaroles. Therefore, no MRL has been proposed for this use. Furthermore, in a screening step, risk to consumers has been identified for the current use of spinetoram in lettuce. EFSA therefore proposes to lower the current MRL for lettuce to a safe limit. For the remaining crops, the expected short‐term exposure is unlikely to present a risk to consumer health. The long‐term intake of residues resulting from the uses of spinetoram according to the reported agricultural practices is unlikely to present a risk to public health.

The conclusions of EFSA following the peer review of the initial risk assessment carried out by the competent authority of the rapporteur Member State France for the pesticide active substance bromoxynil are reported. The European Commission requested EFSA to conduct a peer review and provide its conclusions on whether exposure of humans to bromoxynil can be considered negligible, taking into account the European Commission's draft guidance on this topic. The conclusions were reached on the basis of the evaluation of the representative uses of bromoxynil as a herbicide on maize and straw cereals. The reliable endpoints, derived from the studies and the literature data presented in the dossier and considered appropriate for use in regulatory risk assessment, are presented.

In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the evaluating Member States (EMS), the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, received an application from BASF SE to modify the existing maximum residue levels (MRLs) for the active substance fluxapyroxad in several crops in order to accommodate for proposed new uses in Europe and for the import of crops. According to EFSA, the data are sufficient to derive MRL proposals for all the crops assessed, except for citrus fruits other than oranges and grapefruits. Adequate analytical enforcement methods are available to control the residues of fluxapyroxad on the commodities under consideration, but additional validation data on herbal infusion and spices would be desirable. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concluded that the proposed uses on various crops of fluxapyroxad and the use authorised in Brazil on oranges and grapefruits for which import of crops has been requested, will not result in a consumer exposure exceeding the toxicological reference values and therefore are unlikely to pose a consumer health risk.

According to Article 12 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, EFSA has reviewed the maximum residue levels (MRLs) currently established at European level for the pesticide active substance tau‐fluvalinate. To assess the occurrence of tau‐fluvalinate residues in plants, processed commodities, rotational crops and livestock, EFSA considered the conclusions derived in the framework of Commission Regulation (EC) No 33/2008 as well as the European authorisations reported by Member States (including the supporting residues data). Based on the assessment of the available data, MRL proposals were derived and a consumer risk assessment was carried out. An MRL application for modification of MRLs in products of animal origin was also considered in this review. Although no apparent risk to consumers was identified, some information required by the regulatory framework was missing. Hence, the consumer risk assessment is considered indicative only and some MRL proposals derived by EFSA still require further consideration by risk managers.

The data submitted in support of the request were found to be sufficient to derive MRL proposals for all the commodities under consideration in this reasoned opinion. Adequate analytical methods for enforcement are available to control the residues of acibenzolar‐S‐methyl in plant matrices/on the commodities under consideration at the validated limit of quantification (LOQ) of 0.01 mg/kg. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concluded that the short‐term and long‐term intakes of residues resulting from the use of acibenzolar‐S‐methyl according to the reported agricultural practices are unlikely to present a risk to consumer health. The reliable end points, appropriate for use in regulatory risk assessment are presented.

Hence, the consumer risk assessment is considered indicative only and some MRL proposals derived by EFSA still requires further consideration by risk managers.

For tomato, data gaps were identified which precluded the derivation of MRL proposal. Adequate analytical methods for enforcement are available to control the residues of fluazifop‐P in plant matrices under consideration. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concluded that the short‐term and long‐term intake of residues resulting from the use of fluazifop‐P on carrots and courgettes according to the reported agricultural practices and the products of animal origin under consideration is unlikely to present a risk to consumer health.

In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the applicant Syngenta Agro GmbH submitted a request to the competent national authority in Austria to set a maximum residue level (MRL) for the active substance mandipropamid in cocoa beans imported from Nigeria and Cameroon. The data submitted in support of the request were found to be sufficient to derive a MRL proposal of 0.06 mg/kg. Adequate analytical methods for enforcement are available to control the residues of mandipropamid on the commodity under consideration at the validated limit of quantification (LOQ) of 0.01 mg/kg. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concluded that the long‐term intake of residues resulting from the use of mandipropamid according to the reported agricultural practice is unlikely to present a risk to consumer health. The consumer risk assessment is affected by non‐standard uncertainties related to the pending hazard characterisation for the metabolite SYN 500003, which is expected to occur in root crops.
