The Continuity of Care Report (CCR) is a fundamental document for ensuring high-quality healthcare and a smooth transition between different levels of care. The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of optimizing the CCR to improve its completion rate by hospital nurses and its review by primary care nurses. To achieve this, a retrospective observational study was conducted on patients discharged from the University Hospital of La Plana de Vila-real during two three-month periods, one prior to the CCR improvement (2022) and one after (2023). No increase in the completion rate for the CCR was observed following its optimization (p = 0.226). However, a statistically significant improvement was noted in the percentage of reports reviewed (p > 0.001), increasing from 4.4% (n = 49) in 2022 to 30.5% (n = 327) in 2023. These results indicate that the optimization of the Continuity of Care Report enhances the communication between specialized care and primary care professionals.

Objetivo:Discutir ações do gerenciamento do cuidado de enfermagem para a manutenção do cateter venoso central no transplantado de células-tronco hematopoiéticas.Metodologia:Estudo qualitativo, exploratório, realizado em uma Unidade de Transplante de Medula Óssea. Os dados foram coletados em 2019, através de entrevista semiestruturada, com 10 profissionais de enfermagem. Os dados foram analisados com apoio do software Interface de R pourlesAnalysesMultidimensionnelles de Textes et de Questionnairese interpretados pela análise de conteúdo. Resultados:Emergiram seis classes compiladas em três categorias que discutiram o protagonismo do transplantado no cuidado ao acesso venoso central, o uso do protocolo, a comunicação e a capacitação dos profissionais de enfermagem no processo de manutenção e permeabilidade do cateter. Considerações finais:Foram evidenciadas como indispensáveis para a garantia da segurança do paciente, ações que promovam a comunicação, práticas educativas e o alinhamento dos profissionais de enfermagem com a prática baseada em evidências.

Introduction: The World Health Organization (WHO) has proposed to monitor intrinsic capacity (IC) in the older population as a public health strategy through the Integrated Care for Older People (ICOPE) program. Although the program has been developed based on solid concepts, scientific evidence on its practical applicability is still scarce. Objectives: To evaluate IC in Brazilian older adults, its progress over time, and its association with sociodemographic and health factors and outcomes. To evaluate the psychometric properties of the WHO/ICOPE screening tool. Methods: This is a prospective multicenter cohort study with a 36-month follow-up. We will recruit 3838 people aged ≥ 60 years, registered in the health care units included in the study by the participating centers. We will collect sociodemographic and health data and will administer tools to assess IC domains, both those provided for in the ICOPE screening tool and the sequence of confirmatory assessments provided for in the program. Participants will be reassessed every 6 months for 36 months. Expected results: To establish the profile of IC in the study population and to understand its progress and the variables associated with the clinical outcomes of interest. To reveal the diagnostic and psychometric properties of the WHO/ICOPE screening tool. The project is funded by the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). Relevance: Understanding the potential use of the ICOPE public health strategy proposed by the WHO within the scope of the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS) by integrating several research centers in the field of Geriatrics and Gerontology throughout Brazil.

Objetivo: Relatar a experiência do processo de construção de webséries para mediar ações de cuidado à saúde mental de enfermeiros. Método: relato de experiência sistematizado em três passos: síntese de evidências da literatura (passo1), identificação de temas geradores (passo 2), produção de uma tecnologia educacional audiovisual (passo 3). A experiência ocorreu durante uma atividade curricular de um programa de pós-graduação em enfermagem de uma universidade da região Norte, no período de junho a setembro de 2021. Participaram quatro discentes, dois docentes e um colaborador. Resultados: da síntese de evidencias emergiram 03 publicações. Das publicações emergiram 03 temas geradores. As produções foram divulgadas por meio de um canal na plataforma do Youtube. Adotou-se a estratégia Webséries. A série 1 tratou de Promoção à saúde; a 2 de Imapactos; a 3 de Rede de apoio. Conclusões: A experiência de construção de webséries como atividade curricular permitiu que a equipe, de forma ativa, se apropriasse de evidências sobre saúde mental de enfermeiros bem como se envolvesse no processo de produção de tecnologia audiovisual. As webséries se mostraram inovadoras, além de baixo custo e grande potencial de abrangência.

Objetivo: conhecer as percepções de mães de pacientes autistas frente ao atendimento na atenção primária à saúde. Métodos: Estudo exploratório, com abordagem qualitativa. A amostra foi intencional, composta por mães de pacientes autistas, apresentando como critério de fechamento a saturação teórica. Foram realizadas onze entrevistas, remotas, individuais, semidirigidas, com questões sobre o diagnóstico, encaminhamento e atendimento de forma integral na Atenção Primária em Saúde. Os dados foram analisados por meio da técnica de análise de conteúdo de Bardin. Resultados: A partir da análise dos relatos emergiram três categorias: “A trajetória assistencial do filho até elucidação diagnóstica”; “As barreiras no atendimento do filho na Atenção Primária”; e “Incentivo ao aprimoramento assistencial na Unidade de Saúde”. Foi possível compreender parte das relações interpessoais entre as mães de pacientes autistas e o atendimento destes no âmbito da Atenção Primária, revelando dificuldades no diagnóstico, acolhimento das famílias, necessidade de mudanças na conduta profissional e na organização dos serviços. Considerações finais: Logo, além do atraso no desenvolvimento da criança ser o principal fator para a busca dos serviços de saúde pelas mães de crianças com Transtorno do Espectro Autista, as limitações na assistência pública favorecem essa procura na atenção privada. Ademais, ressalta-se a necessidade de suporte mais efetivo aos familiares e incentivo a capacitações para os profissionais, a fim de se alcançar cuidados mais específicos e humanizados.

Introdução: As vítimas de violência por parceiro íntimo enfrentam uma gama alarmante de consequências físicas e emocionais decorrentes dessas agressões, impactando não apenas as vítimas, mas também as pessoas em seu entorno, especialmente os filhos. Objetivo: Explorar, através da análise de literatura especializada, os impactos psicossociais sobre filhos de mulheres que foram vítimas de violência por parte de seus parceiros. Método: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura. As buscas na literatura foram conduzidas por meio descritores constantes no MeSH e no DeCS, combinados com os operadores booleanos AND e OR, realizadas na Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde e Medline via Pubmed. Resultados: Foram incluídos 10 artigos. Os estudos analisados abordam principalmente a exposição na infância e na adolescência à violência por parceiro íntimo (VPI) e suas consequências, variando de impactos no desenvolvimento físico e cognitivo até questões de saúde mental e ajustamento social. Conclusão: A análise sistemática dos artigos revelou que em círculos familiares com a presença de VPI, é notório os impactos negativos no desenvolvimento psicológico e comportamental das crianças.

ABSTRACT Objective: to identify the scientific evidence available in national and international literature on the relationships between nursing students’ mindfulness and emotional regulation. Methods: an integrative literature review, in four databases, with a time frame from January 2002 to December 2022. Articles in English, Spanish and Portuguese available in full were included. Results: the sample consisted of six original articles, predominantly with a quantitative approach, with cross-sectional designs standing out. Conclusion: the synthesis of scientific production revealed that there is a lack of research at national and international level on the subject with experimental and qualitative designs that enable conclusions about cause and effect and/or take into account subjective experiences of the applicability of mindfulness-based practice in nursing students’ emotional regulation.

Objetivo: analisar a prevalência da adesão ao tratamento medicamentoso de cuidadores hipertensos de idosos, suas relações com o letramento em saúde (LS), variáveis demográficas e de trabalho dos cuidadores. Método: estudo transversal, com 68 cuidadores hipertensos de idosos. A adesão medicamentosa e o LS foram avaliados por meio das escalas: Adesão Terapêutica de Morisky e Health Literacy Scale. Realizam-se análises descritivas e analíticas. Resultados: a amostra estudada apresentou baixo LS (34 pontos) e 36,8% demonstraram baixa adesão ao tratamento medicamentoso. O maior número de horas dedicadas ao cuidado por dia (p=0,0027) e quanto mais se sentia sobrecarregado sendo cuidador (p=0,0307) associaram-se à baixa adesão ao tratamento medicamentoso. Conclusão: constatou-se baixa prevalência de adesão à terapêutica medicamentosa e baixo LS dos cuidadores hipertensos de idosos.

Objective: to map the health needs of people with diabetes mellitus for disease management. Methods: scoping review according to the JBI guided instead by the guiding question: what are the health needs of people with diabetes for managing their health condition? Health databases and portals were analyzed using the descriptors Diabetes mellitus, Health service needs and demands, Needs assessment, Disease management, and the keyword Health needs. Results: the analysis consisted of 26 studies, the majority published in 2019, carried out in Europe, with people with type 2 diabetes and in a hospital setting. Health needs were listed in four thematic categories. Conclusion: people with diabetes mellitus have educational, behavioral, supportive, and emotional health needs, and these needs are interconnected, impacting disease management and quality of life. Contributions to practice: with our findings, it is possible to guide research in the area, guiding researchers to design educational interventions that can meet the needs presented. In addition, it will also guide professionals in their clinical practice to reflect on the care they provide, helping them to make decisions to direct the planning and execution of care.

Abstract Objective: to describe factors of influence of telenursing on naturalistic decision making about self-care of people with heart failure during COVID-19. Method: this is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach, with 16 participants interviewed after hospitalization for decompensated heart failure. The data was collected using audio and video technology and submitted to content analysis, guided by the Situation-Specific Theory of Heart Failure Self-Care. Result: two thematic categories emerged from the analysis: Self-care as a decision-making process and Factors influencing decision-making, which describe tele-nursing as a support resource for people with heart failure, during changes in care in the pandemic period. Conclusion: it was possible to understand the relationship between telenursing and the establishment of a bond, in order to stimulate naturalistic decision-making by people with heart failure in their daily lives in a coherent way, leading to better health outcomes.

(1) Background: Medication adherence is influenced by a variety of intricate factors, presenting hurdles for nurses working to improve it among adults with chronic conditions. Pinpointing the reasons for non-adherence is crucial for customizing interventions. The objective of this quality improvement project was to improve medication adherence among adults with chronic diseases in primary healthcare by promoting evidence-based practices, identifying barriers and facilitators to compliance, and developing strategies to ensure optimal adherence through engaging the nursing team, enhancing knowledge, and evaluating the effectiveness of the implemented strategies. (2) Methods: This study was a quality improvement project that utilized the JBI Evidence Implementation framework, the Practical Application of Clinical Evidence System, and the Getting Research into Practice audit tool across three phases: (i) forming a project team and conducting a baseline audit, (ii) offering feedback via the GRiP tool, and (iii) conducting a follow-up audit to assess best practice outcomes. The study was conducted between September 2021 and March 2022 in the community care unit of Algarve Regional Health Administration, targeting adults with chronic illnesses. (3) Results: A total of 148 individuals were audited, including 8 nurses, 70 baseline patients, and 70 post-implementation patients. Initial compliance with key best practices was low, with several criteria at 0% compliance at baseline. Post-intervention, we observed significant improvements; compliance with key best practices improved dramatically, with many reaching 100%. Notable improvements included enhanced patient education on medication management, regular medication adherence assessments, and increased engagement of healthcare professionals in adherence activities. (4) Conclusions: This quality improvement project demonstrated that structured, evidence-based interventions could significantly enhance medication adherence among adults with chronic diseases. The success of the project highlights the potential of similar strategies to be applied broadly in primary healthcare settings to improve health outcomes.

Background: Healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) pose a significant global threat, particularly in developing regions such as Southeast Asia. International bodies emphasize the role of formal undergraduate training in the prevention and control of HAIs. To address this, we aimed to explore the perceptions of Southeast Asian nursing students regarding a novel educational approach developed by a European–Southeast Asian project consortium. Methods: A pilot study was conducted in four nursing higher education institutions from Cambodia and Vietnam. First, local nursing educators conducted a 2 h classroom-based training session. Then, students were invited to participate for the first time in one of twelve evidence-based simulation scenarios developed by the research team, covering a range of nursing care situations related to the prevention and control of HAIs. After attending both components, students were asked to complete a paper-based questionnaire and rate their agreement with a set of statements on the appropriateness and meaningfulness of both components. Results: A total of 430 nursing students enrolled in the pilot study; 77.4% were female, with an average age of 19.8 years. The PrevInf educational intervention received positive feedback from participating students across settings, with strong agreement on the importance of proactiveness in competency development (M = 5.9, SD = 1.4). Notable differences between Cambodian and Vietnamese students were observed in terms of their receptiveness to the pre-selected teaching materials (p = 0.001) and strategies (p = 0.01) used by the nursing educators during their experience with the simulation scenarios. Conclusions: The PrevInf educational intervention shows promise in engaging Southeast Asian nursing students and fostering a deeper understanding of the prevention and control of HAIs. Further studies are warranted to refine the learning content and standardize the pedagogical strategies used by nursing educators across settings. This study was not registered.

Abstract Background The professional self-concept of nursing students significantly influences their attitude and identity within the profession, ultimately impacting their mental health and overall well-being. Recent evidence underscores the importance of assessing students’ professional self-concept to prevent adverse outcomes such as burnout and stress. Since there are currently no validated instruments available in Portugal for this purpose, our objective was to translate, adapt, and validate the Nurse Self-Concept Questionnaire (NSCQ) with nursing students in Portugal. Methods A two-phase research study with a non-probabilistic sample of 216 undergraduate nursing students, using the Qualtrics XM electronic platform for data collection. An exploratory factor analysis was performed to verify the validity of the theoretical construct and its internal consistency. Cronbach’s alpha was calculated, and a confirmatory factor analysis was performed to assess the model fit. Results The final instrument, designated as Questionário de Autoconceito dos/as Enfermeiros/as (Pt – NSCQ), is composed of 24 items distributed across five dimensions: “General self-concept”, “Staff relations”, “Leadership”, “Communication-care” and “Knowledge”, which explain 67.71% of the total variance. All dimensions and the global scale revealed good internal consistency values, ranging from 0.775 to 0.927. The resulting factorial structure is coherent with the theoretical framework. Conclusion The Pt – NSCQ proved to be a valid and reliable instrument to assess Portuguese nursing students’ professional self-concept. Future studies should be carried out on larger samples and different educational contexts, aligned with the importance to ensure the continuity of the psychometric analysis of the instrument.

Introducción: La enfermedad renal crónica (ERC) se considera un problema de salud pública debido a sus altos índices de morbimortalidad. Objetivo: Evaluar el afrontamiento religioso/espiritual en personas con enfermedad renal crónica, como estrategia de afrontamiento de la enfermedad. Materiales y Métodos: Investigación exploratoria, con enfoque cuantitativo, realizada en una clínica de hemodiálisis. Los participantes fueron personas con enfermedad renal crónica, en tratamiento de hemodiálisis, siendo 100 participantes en total. Se utilizó un cuestionario demográfico socioeconómico y la Escala de Afrontamiento Religioso-Espiritual. Resultados: Participaron del estudio 100 personas, con una edad promedio de 55,6 años y predominantemente del sexo masculino (58%). Entre las variables de afrontamiento religioso-espiritual (positivas, negativas, totales), el valor medio del afrontamiento religioso-espiritual total fue el más alto. Entre los promedios de afrontamiento positivo y negativo, el primero parece ser el más utilizado. Los pacientes que tenían como religión el Candomblé mostraron un mayor afrontamiento positivo, el afrontamiento negativo fue mayor en los pacientes evangélicos y los espiritistas mostraron un afrontamiento total mayor. Discusión: El afrontamiento religioso-espiritual en la población estudiada fue alto, representando la importancia de esta práctica para el afrontamiento de la enfermedad renal crónica. Conclusión: Los pacientes renales que participaron en este estudio fueron muy hábiles en el uso del afrontamiento religioso-espiritual, de manera expresiva y positiva, señalando la importancia de esta práctica en el afrontamiento de la enfermedad renal.

Abstract Pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) is the bedrock of non-pharmacological treatment for people with COPD. Nonetheless, it is well described in the literature that unless the patient changes his behaviour, the benefits of PR programmes will decline in six to twelve months after finishing the programme. Therefore, maintenance programmes can address the problem of PR programmes’ effect loss over time. Community care units can provide multidisciplinary care in the current Portuguese primary health care context. These units have an interdisciplinary team that aims to develop competencies in COPD patients to self-manage the disease. This study aims to test the effectiveness of a 12-month home-based PR programme (Rehab2Life) compared to usual care through a single-blind randomised controlled trial with two parallel groups. The Rehab2Life programme includes two distinct phases. The first is an 8-week PR programme delivered to both groups, and the second is a PR maintenance programme delivered to the intervention group after the initial eight weeks. The control group receive the usual care and regular appointments. The primary outcome is functional capacity, and secondary outcomes are dyspnea, Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQoL), number of exacerbations, symptoms burden, anxiety and depression symptoms, and physical activity. We expect to observe that the home-based PR programme brings clinically relevant benefits to the participants at the end of the first eight weeks and that, at 12 months after the maintenance phase of the programme, benefits are less dissipated than in the control group. We expect to identify the characteristics of the patients who benefit the most from home-based programmes. The trial was registered on 7 April 2022 at ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT05315505).

Dyskinesia affects the limbs, trunk, and head and is more prevalent in people with Parkinson’s disease (PD) and a history of falls. More evidence about the effects of dyskinesia on postural control, balance, gait, and fall risk could help improve the quality of life of individuals with PD. This review aims to examine associations between dyskinesia and postural control, balance, gait, and fall risk in individuals with PD. Such information could lead to new approaches to quality of life improvement among individuals with PD. PubMed, CINAHL, PsycInfo, Scopus, and SciELO will be searched for longitudinal, cohort, and case-control studies published in English or Portuguese in any year that investigated the association between dyskinesia and postural control, balance, gait, and fall risk in individuals with PD. Two reviewers will independently evaluate the titles, abstracts, and full texts according to PRISMA guidelines to select eligible studies for the review. Data on participants, dyskinesia, postural control, balance, gait, and fall risk will be extracted and summarized in tables. Two reviewers will independently assess the methodological quality of each study using the Newcastle Ottawa quality assessment scale. Meta-analysis will not be performed. The results of this systematic review will offer insight into the effects of dyskinesia on postural control, balance, gait, and fall risk. Such information could significantly contribute to informed decisions about early motor intervention in individuals with PD.

Objective: To evaluate frailty and its relationship with prognostic markers in hospitalized patients with acute coronary syndrome. Methods: This cross-sectional study with a prospective variable analysis (prognostic markers) involved adults of both sexes aged ≥ 50 years with acute coronary syndrome. Patients with ≥ 3 of the following criteria wereconsidered frail: 1) unintentional weight loss; 2) exhaustion (assessed by self-reported fatigue); 3) low handgrip strength; 4) low physical activity level; and 5) low gait speed. The included prognostic markers were: metabolic changes (lipid and glycemic profile), changes in inflammatory status (C-reactive protein), thrombolysis in myocardial infarction risk score, troponin level, angioplasty or surgery, hospitalization in the intensive care unit, length of hospital stay, and hospital outcome. Results: The sample consisted of 125 patients, whose mean agewas 65.5 (SD, 8.7) years. The prevalence of frailty was 48.00%, which was higher in women (PR = 1.55; 95%CI 1.08-2.22; p = 0.018) and patients with systemic arterial hypertension (PR = 2.18; 95%CI 1.01-5.24; p = 0.030). Frailty was not associated with age, cardiac diagnosis, or prognostic markers (p > 0.05). Conclusions: Frailty was highly prevalent in patients with acutecoronary syndrome, affecting almost half of the sample, particularly women and patients with hypertension, irrespective of age. However, despite its high prevalence, frailty was not associated with markers of metabolic change or poor prognosis.

Objective: to reveal the experiences of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: this is a qualitative study conducted with 18 patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment, from the perspective of the Chronic Conditions Care Model. Data collection was performed through semi-structured interviews, the content was recorded and processed using the Interface de R pour les Analyses Multidimensionnelles de Textes et de Questionnaires software. Results: six classes emerged from the statements which addressed the following: challenges in building a new life routine; the fear of self-contagion and the family; mental suffering due to clinical vulnerability in facing the pandemic scenario; strategies for preventing COVID-19; the impacts of the immunization process against COVID-19; and the negative aspects of the experience of hemodialysis treatment during the pandemic. Conclusion: the experiences were permeated by challenges, especially in aspects related to mental health. Contributions to practice: this study provides an opportunity for applying targeted actions with a view to proposing contributions for planning nursing care aimed at patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment in possible future pandemic periods.

Objective: to map the recommendations for nursing care in non-suicidal self-injury among adolescents and young people. Methods: this is a systematic review using meta-aggregation to synthesize studies with qualitative data, as recommended by the JBI. The search was conducted in the LILACS and BDENF databases; MEDLINE; CINAHL; Web of Science; APA PsycInfo; EBSCOhost; Scopus Preview; Embase; and PubMed Central repository. Results: a total of 16 studies were included, and two synthesized findings were identified. The first identified the importance of relationships permeated by bonding and trust, free from stigmas involving the adolescent or young person as protagonists. The second finding highlighted the need for adequate nursing training, in addition to physical preparation of the different services to accommodate this population in situations of self-injury. Conclusion: care needs to be performed in a humanized manner, with the building of trust and in a welcoming environment. The focus should be on actions guided by the community and the interprofessional and intersectoral logic. Contributions to practice: the need for systematization of individualized care centered on the adolescent/young person and family is highlighted. Continuing education and mental health support from Nursing are recommended.

Introdução: A diarreia infantil é a segunda principal causa de morbidade entre crianças menores de cinco anos de idade, sendo uma doença multifatorial. Nesse contexto, o conhecimento e a motivação dos cuidadores em realizar cuidados que previnam a doença, podem influenciar na ocorrência de casos de diarreia infantil Objetivo: Verificar associação entre as variáveis socioeconômicas e sanitárias de mães de crianças menores de cinco anos de idade e a autoeficácia materna em prevenir a diarreia infantil. Método: Tratou-se de um estudo transversal, realizado em uma unidade básica de saúde do município de Redenção/Ceará, Brasil, com mães de crianças menores de cinco anos de idade. Para a coleta de dados, foi aplicado um questionário de condições socioeconômicas e sanitárias das participantes, e a Escala de Autoeficácia Materna para a Prevenção da Diarreia Infantil (EAPDI). A análise dos dados foi realizada a partir dos testes Qui-quadrado de Pearson, Razão de Verossimilhança e frequências absolutas e relativas. Resultados: Participaram do estudo 50 mães de crianças menores de cinco anos de idade. Observou-se que 19 (38%) apresentavam baixa/moderada autoeficácia em prevenir a diarreia infantil, e que 31 (62%) apresentavam elevada autoeficácia. Ao realizar a análise estatística verificou-se que dentre as variáveis avaliadas, somente a relacionada com a origem da água da casa apresentou associação estatisticamente significativa, revelando provável influência desta variável na autoeficácia materna em prevenir a diarreia infantil. Conclusão: Verificou-se que a origem da água da casa pode influenciar nos níveis de autoeficácia materna em prevenir a diarreia infantil.

Objective: to understand how adverse events are reported from the point of view of nursing professionals. Methods: a qualitative study was carried out with 38 nursing professionals. Data was collected using an electronic form of personal and professional characterization and guiding questions. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the characterization data and thematic content analysis was used for the qualitative data. Results: 21 nurses and 17 nursing technicians participated, most young women from hospitals in four Brazilian states. Two categories emerged: Notification of adverse events, one more task to be carried out in daily work, and Notification and institutional treatment of adverse events, from a personal approach to a procedural one, with subcategories. Conclusion: notifications focus on filling in the institutional instrument, and there is a lack of clarity about what adverse events are. A punitive culture persists, but there seems to be a movement towards a procedural approach. Contribution to practice: we hope to help raise awareness of the issue and help institutions develop more effective reporting strategies to monitor patient safety and drive improvements.

Objetivo: Analisar as vivências de sofrimento moral em enfermeiros que atuam na Unidade de Terapia Intensiva geral em comparação à Unidade de Terapia Intensiva covid. Método: Estudo qualitativo exploratório-descritivo, realizado em um hospital universitário da região sul do Brasil. A coleta de dados ocorreu de agosto a outubro de 2021, de forma online, mediante entrevistas em plataforma eletrônica, seguindo um roteiro semiestruturado. Empregou-se análise textual discursiva. Resultados: Ao total, sete enfermeiros participaram da pesquisa. Na perspectiva dos participantes, o sofrimento moral decorreu, especialmente, da falta de recursos materiais e humanos, precariedade na infraestrutura, conflitos entre profissionais e seus processos de decisões, fragilidades no cuidado, hegemonia médica e tomada de decisão unilateral. Conclusão: Ao comparar questões laborais de duas Unidades de Terapia Intensiva, foram reconhecidas vivências de sofrimento moral no processo de trabalho dos enfermeiros destes setores.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to synthesize knowledge regarding risk factors associated with occurrence of adverse event phlebitis in hospitalized adult patients. Methods: an integrative literature review, carried out in the CINAHL, PubMed, Virtual Health Library, Embase, Web of Science and Scopus databases. The stages were carried out independently by two reviewers, and the data were analyzed descriptively. Results: from the analysis of 31 quantitative primary studies, the following risk factors were summarized: length of stay; use of antibiotics; peripheral intravenous catheter dwell time; receive less nursing care; catheter inserted multiple times; patients with infection and comorbidities; presence of pain at catheter insertion site; Teflon® catheter use; reduced patient mobility; quality of patient’s vein; skin elasticity; unsuccessful insertion. Conclusions: it is necessary to standardize the format for measuring occurrence of this adverse event and develop new studies with a higher level of evidence.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to analyze the legislation issued during the COVID-19 pandemic for nursing education and immediate consequences. Methods: documentary research, whose source was the legislation issued for nursing education during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thirty-two documents were analyzed and submitted to a collection instrument. Results: contradictions and consequences for nursing education following the guidelines and law of guidelines and bases were revealed. The consequences of the law affected the quality of teaching, equal access, exemption from minimum school days and course abbreviation. Regarding the guidelines, there was a lack of conditions for developing skills, in addition to the attempt to update them. Concerning internships, acting during the pandemic put students at risk, and their abbreviation prevented them from consolidating knowledge and skills. Final Considerations: remote teaching did not guarantee the quality and equality of teaching, weakened the development of skills, not taking into account nursing’s educational needs.

Resumo Objetivo Identificar e mapear as principais estratégias educativas para prevenção de infecções do trato reprodutor feminino no sistema prisional. Métodos Revisão de escopo, realizada conforme a recomendações do Joanna Briggs Institute, com pesquisa nas bases de dados MEDLINE (PubMed), Cochrane Library, LILACS, SCOPUS, Science Direct, Embase; Google Scholar e Proquest, durante o período de 23 a 29 de maio de 2023. Utilizou-se o instrumento Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR) para o fluxograma de busca e seleção dos artigos da revisão. Foram incluídos todos os títulos que seguiram a estratégia PCC: População mulheres com idade a partir dos 18 anos. Conceito uso de estratégias educativas para prevenção de ITR feminino. Contexto sistema prisional, com cumprimento de pena em regime fechado. Foram excluídos aqueles que contemplaram estratégia educativa realizada para homens cisgênero ou com mulheres que já possuíam o diagnóstico de ITR. Resultados Foram selecionados 13 estudos publicados entre 1995 e 2023, com predomínio de estratégias educativas voltadas para prevenção de infecções sexualmente transmissíveis, principalmente causadas pelo Vírus da Imunodeficiência Humana. As estratégias educativas priorizaram ações educativas grupais, estratégia de dramatização e técnica da abordagem comportamental, utilizando os seguintes recursos educativos: panfletos, cartilhas, cartazes, livro de desenhos animados, simuladores de órgãos genitais, vídeos e jogos. Conclusão As sessões educativas coletivas foram as mais evidenciadas na literatura para prevenção de infecções, predominantemente, sexualmente transmissíveis, com escassos estudos de prevenção de vaginites ou vaginoses.

ABSTRACT Objective: To analyze the knowledge about fibromyalgia of people with this diagnosis and its repercussions in coping with the disease. Method: Qualitative research, based on the Social Representation Theory framework. Thirty people over 18 years old and from the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, participated. Snowball sampling was applied to recruit participants and a semi-structured interview was used to produce data, between April 2020 and January 2021. Statistical and lexicographic analysis was performed using Alceste. Results: Most participants were women (93%); aged 41 to 60 years old (67%); of whom 63% were married; had been diagnosed 10 years ago or more (40%); and 40% participated in support groups. They did not know the name of the disease and its causes, but they mentioned its symptoms, mainly pain. Objectification of fibromyalgia occurs in painful symptoms and the lack of signs in the body generates misunderstanding among the people they live with. They share experiences in support groups to cope with the disease. Conclusion: The subjective phenomenon of pain generates distrust about the disease. Diagnosis difficulties delay treatment and insufficient information generates judgments and stereotypes for patients. Prejudices and rejections have repercussions on coping with the disease.

ABSTRACT Objectives: Identify the frequency of recurrent violence in cases reported in Espírito Santo and the associated factors. Methods: Cross-sectional study. Which included data on violence in Espírito Santo from 2011 to 2018, from the Notifiable Diseases Information System, and, Statistical analyzes were performed using the chi-square test and Poisson regression. Results: 54.2% (N:14.966) of reported cases of violence are repeated, and higher prevalences were associated with female sex (PR:1.54), child (PR: 1.29) or elderly victims (PR: 1.25), the presence of disabilities/disorders (PR:1.42) and occurrence in urban/peri-urban areas (PR: 1.10). Furthermore, there is a greater frequency of injuries caused by a single aggressor (PR: 1.20), man (PR: 1.28), aged 25 or over (PR: 1.09), known to the victim (PR: 2.81) and at home (PR: 1.69). Conclusion: The reported cases of violence showed a high frequency of recurrence, and were associated with the studied characteristics of the victim, the aggressor and the event.

Resumo Objetivo analisar as potencialidades da sala de espera na Atenção Primária à Saúde para educação ambiental nas práticas de integração ensino-serviço-comunidade por meio de tecnologias educacionais. Método estudo exploratório descritivo, com abordagem qualitativa e de base documental. A coleta de dados ocorreu em dezembro de 2023, em uma instituição de ensino superior federal da região Norte do Brasil, incluindo os registros de atividade curricular obrigatória e o relatório final de monitoria, que foram submetidos à análise de conteúdo, a fim de identificar os documentos pertinentes à codificação dos quais emergiram três categorias. Resultados os dados apontaram como potencialidades: compartilhamento de informações entre usuários, profissionais e estudantes; aprimoramento de habilidades cognitivas; e promoção da saúde e sensibilização dos usuários sobre questões ambientais. O programa ofertado para qualificação do ensino, no sentido de formação para o Sistema Único de Saúde, mostrou-se uma ferramenta de impulso à educação interprofissional. Conclusões e implicações para a prática o estudo pode contribuir para a identificação de potencialidades da sala de espera no ensino e na aprendizagem sobre educação ambiental. Viabiliza estratégias de formação em saúde na perspectiva da educação, da saúde e do meio ambiente.

Introdução: as atividades laborais incorporam elementos físicos, sociais, emocionais e técnicos. Em um cenário de constantes transformações, compreender a atualidade científica sobre a estrutura e sobre as circunstâncias laborais dos enfermeiros na Atenção Primária a Saúde (APS) se revela como imperativo. Objetivo: identificar, na literatura científica, os aspectos relacionados ao ambiente de trabalho que influenciam a atuação dos enfermeiros inseridos na APS. Materiais e método: trata-se de revisão integrativa da literatura realizada em agosto de 2023 nas bases de dados Lilacs, Cinahl, Web of Science, Medline, Scopus e Embase, seguindo as recomendações do The Prisma 2020 Statement. Os critérios de inclusão foram artigos eletrônicos completos, em português, inglês ou espanhol, publicados entre 2019 e 2023. A presente revisão utilizou o instrumento Robis para avaliar o risco de viés. Resultados: a pesquisa identificou 1417 registros nas bases de dados, dos quais 20 foram selecionados para a amostra final. Desses, 30 % foram de 2020 (n = 6), em português, inglês e espanhol. O Brasil teve o maior número de publicações, com 55 % (n = 11), e os estudos qualitativos representaram 55 % (n = 11) na abordagem metodológica. Emergiram da análise as categorias temáticas “elementos psíquicos e emocionais”, “recursos humanos, materiais e infraestrutura”, “relações interpessoais”, “insatisfação”, “violência no local de trabalho” e “sobrecarga”. Conclusões: o ambiente precário na APS impacta negativamente os enfermeiros e os cuidados a população. Melhorias na infraestrutura, na equipe e nas condições de trabalho são essenciais para garantir a qualidade no cuidado.

Resumo Objetivo Apresentar a tradução, adaptação transcultural e validação da Kogan’s Attitude toward Older People Scale (KAOP) para a língua portuguesa no Brasil. Métodos Pesquisa metodológica de tradução, adaptação transcultural e validação da escala Kogan sobre atitudes em relação ao idoso. Seguindo recomendações internacionais, a escala foi traduzida por três nativos brasileiros e posteriormente elaborada versão única por consenso considerando equivalências semânticas e culturais; sendo retro traduzida e avaliada por consultor nativo britânico para análise de similaridade. A versão final foi aplicada em trinta estudantes regularmente matriculados em cursos de graduação na forma de pré-teste. Para validação do instrumento, foi realizado estudo transversal com 904 estudantes de graduação, incluindo cursos da área da saúde, obtendo-se o índice de Alfa Cronbach. Resultados Em 47% (16) dos itens houve exata similaridade entre as traduções e em 53% (18) as semelhanças prevaleceram em relação ao conteúdo, com poucas diferenças semânticas. Em relação ao pré-teste, a maioria dos estudantes tinha até 25 anos (60%), do sexo feminino (76,6%) e solteiros (70%), relatando adequada compreensão da versão em português, sem necessidade de alterações. A consistência interna (Alfa de Cronbach) da escala foi de 0,70. Conclusão O processo de tradução, adaptação transcultural e validação da escala Kogan da língua inglesa para o português do Brasil seguiu criteriosamente as etapas recomendadas na literatura. O instrumento resultante foi avaliado como compreensível e com boa consistência interna.

Resumo Objetivo Avaliar a completude dos registros de enfermeiros sobre as orientações dadas a usuários com tuberculose (TB) acompanhados na Atenção Primária à Saúde (APS). Métodos Estudo documental e retrospectivo, cuja população foi constituída por todos prontuários dos casos novos de TB notificados em Unidades de Saúde da Família de um município da Paraíba entre 2015 e 2019. O estudo foi desenvolvido entre julho e setembro de 2020, com uma amostra de 190 prontuários selecionados por amostragem proporcional e probabilística sistemática. Utilizou-se o software R para análise estatística, com nível de significância de 5%, empregando estatística descritiva, Diagrama de Pareto e análise de tendência. Resultados Do total, 60% dos indicadores foram classificados como muito ruins (orientações sobre alimentação, tratamento e consultas) na avaliação da completude do registro sobre as orientações de enfermeiros a respeito das orientações à TB. O Diagrama de Pareto destacou as orientações relacionadas a alimentação e tratamento como os principais problemas no registro, representando mais de 50% da incompletude total. Os modelos de tendência apresentaram evidências estatísticas crescentes para a incompletude do indicador ‘orientações sobre consultas’ (p=0,016) e tendência crescente para os indicadores ‘orientações sobre exames e consultas’. Em contrapartida, as orientações sobre alimentação e exames mostraram tendência decrescente de incompletude. Conclusão Os registros mostraram uma completude inadequada, acompanhada por uma tendência crescente de incompletude no registro de orientações aos usuários com TB na APS. Esse cenário aponta para a urgência de medidas de intervenção na saúde pública, para aprimorar o acompanhamento da TB na APS.

Resumo Objetivo Descrever o processo de construção e avaliação de um protótipo de aplicativo de telefonia móvel que promova acessibilidade em chamada de socorro pré-hospitalar por pessoas com necessidades comunicativas especiais. Métodos Estudo metodológico, realizado em três etapas: definição de requisitos funcionais da população alvo; construção e disponibilização do protótipo de aplicativo para celulares touchscreen para solicitação de atendimento pré-hospitalar; avaliação das heurísticas de usabilidade por peritos, por meio de checklist, e pela população-alvo, pessoas com necessidades comunicativas especiais, utilizando a System Usability Scale. Foi realizada análise estatística descritiva e calculadas as pontuações e escores de avaliação do aplicativo. Resultados O aplicativo apresentou alta usabilidade (média de 58,75 pontos) e 21 sujeitos da população-alvo indicaram um excelente índice de satisfação do usuário (média de 89,5 pontos), oportunizando o registro e patente do protótipo. Conclusão O protótipo construído, demonstrou capacidade para promover acessibilidade comunicativa de convocação de socorro pré-hospitalar para pessoas com necessidades comunicativas especiais.

Objetivo: Analisar a produção científica acerca do itinerário diagnóstico e terapêutico de mulheres com câncer de mama. Método: Revisão integrativa da literatura que priorizou o interesse pela busca de fenômenos subjetivos acerca do caminho percorrido por mulheres com câncer de mama. Para tanto, foram selecionados apenas artigos pautados em metodologias qualitativas a fim de responder a seguinte questão: “Quais as produções presentes na literatura acerca do itinerário diagnóstico e terapêutico de mulheres com câncer de mama? Para a seleção dos artigos, as buscas realizaram-se nos meses de junho e julho de 2022 nas seguintes bases de dados/bibliotecas através do Portal de Periódicos da Capes: National Library of Medicine, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Web of Science, Scientific Eletronic Library Online e Literatura Latino-americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde. Resultados: Foram selecionadas dez publicações que ermitiram discutir duas categorias: Identificação precoce, rastreamento e prevenção do câncer de mama e Experiências de mulheres em Busca do diagnóstico e tratamento para o câncer de mama. Conclusão: Foi possível evidenciar as diversas realidades de cada país a partir das vivências, impressões, opiniões e pontos de vista além de obter informações sobre as motivações, dificuldades e as atitudes das participantes. Fatores como estigma social, questões financeiras, falta de sistemas de apoio e diagnóstico incorreto ao longo da trajetória do paciente foram achados consistentes.

Trata-se de um estudo transversal, descritivo e analítico que utilizou dados secundários da base de dados de vigilância epidemiológica de domínio público no Brasil, no período de dezembro de 2021 a julho de 2022. O objetivo do estudo foi analisar os casos de SRAG associada a covid-19 em gestantes que foram hospitalizadas em unidade de terapia intensiva (UTI) no Brasil. A amostra foi constituída por 239 gestantes que tiveram COVID-19 e foram internadas em UTI, sendo 205 com descrição do desfecho final e 34 sem desfecho final do caso. Para análise estatística, os dados foram importados para o programa R versão 4.2.0, 2022 e realizada a análise descritiva de prevalência, medidas de associação (razão de prevalência e diferença de prevalência). Em seguida calculou-se a prevalência de grávidas que foram internadas em UTI por unidade de federação (estado). Os estados que apresentaram maior prevalência de internamento em UTI foram Amapá, Tocantins e Paraná, os sintomas mais informados foram tosse e febre, obesidade, doenças cardiovasculares, diabetes, raça preta, idade materna avançada e terceiro trimestre gestacional estavam associados a hospitalização. Mesmo ocorrendo casos de internamento em UTI e óbitos, a maioria das pacientes com a doença apresentaram desfecho favoráveis, o que indica que a infecção não influenciou significativamente na gestação. No entanto, a falta de informações sobre a vacinação e as doses recebidas pelas gestantes não permitiu concluir a resposta imunológica da vacina nesta população.

Enquadramento: No serviço de urgência (SU) o stresse em enfermeiros pode ser incrementado por distintos fatores, com repercussão na sua esfera profissional e pessoal. Objetivos: Avaliar o stresse percecionado numa amostra de enfermeiros do SU de um centro hospitalar do norte de Portugal; identificar os principais fatores indutores de stresse percecionados na amostra; analisar a relação entre o stresse percecionado e as características sociodemográficas/profissionais Metodologia: Estudo transversal. Recorreu-se à Escala de Stresse Profissional dos Enfermeiros (ESPE), composta por 34 itens que abarcam sete fatores/três domínios. Resultados: Participaram no estudo 54 enfermeiros. Obteve-se uma pontuação média de 80,94 ± 11,95 no global da ESPE, bem acima do mínimo possível (= 34). A carga de trabalho e a morte constituíram os principais fatores indutores de stresse percecionados. Constataram-se dissemelhanças significativa em maior número com as habilitações académicas. Os mestres apresentaram pontuações mais elevadas de stresse percecionado nos fatores VI, III, V e no global. Conclusão: Os resultados permitem delinear estratégias ao nível individual e organizacional, a direcionar para as áreas geradoras de maior stresse.

ABSTRACT Objective: to map scientific evidence about perceptions, beliefs, knowledge and attitudes of parents or legal guardians of children under 5 years of age regarding routine childhood vaccination. Methods: a scoping review, conducted in accordance with the JBI framework. The searches were carried out in the PubMed/MEDLINE, Web of Science, Scopus and LILACS databases. A total of 5,535 studies were returned and 77 were selected, which met the inclusion criteria. Results: perceptions related to interaction with healthcare professionals and services, with family organization and structure, with social interaction and public policies, cultural, religious and personal beliefs, knowledge about vaccination schedule, vaccination and immunization process and sources of information are the main factors mapped and which can positively or negatively influence parents’ or legal guardians’ attitudes towards vaccinating children. Conclusions: the findings allow us to identify factors related to parents’ perception and beliefs about childhood vaccination.

ABSTRACT Objective: To construct a middle-range theory for the nursing diagnosis of Sedentary Lifestyle in young adults. Methods: A methodological study for the validation of a nursing diagnosis based on a Middle-Range Theory, carried out in six stages: definition of the approach; definition of theoretical-conceptual models; definition of main concepts; development of a pictorial scheme; construction of propositions; establishment of causal relationships and evidence for practice. The theory construction was operationalized through an integrative review and supported by Roy’s adaptation model. Results: Three essential attributes were identified; 10 antecedents; 7 clinical consequences; a pictogram, 9 propositions, and 11 causal relationships and evidence for practice. Conclusion: The middle-range theory for the nursing diagnosis of Sedentary Lifestyle in young adults was constructed, expanding the understanding of this phenomenon, to be applied in clinical practice by nurses.

ABSTRACT Objective: to analyze the physical and psychological changes of the COVID-19 infodemic for the older adult population of Rio de Janeiro. Method: a cross-sectional, web-based survey to find out about access to news and information about COVID-19 among older adult in Rio de Janeiro, between July and December 2020. Univariate analysis and bivariate analysis were carried out using non-parametric statistical methods. Results: 390 older adults took part, predominantly female (75.1%), aged between 66 and 75 (35.4%), married (51.0%), white (60.3%), owning their own home (81.8%), located in urban areas (91%), with complete or incomplete primary education (31.8%) and retired or pensioners (79.2%). Abstract Objective: to develop and evaluate the validity evidence of a mobile application to support nurses in the clinical management of sexually transmitted infections. Method: methodological study conducted in four steps: analysis and definition of requirements; content definition; computational representation with system design; and coding with testing and refinement. In the first steps, nurses with expertise in the subject participated, and in the last, professionals with education in information and communication technology. Data analysis was performed by calculating the Content Validity Index (CVI), considering the minimum agreement value of 0.78. To confirm the viability of the CVI, the binomial test was used through the R software. Variables with p > 0.05 indicated agreement between the judges. Results: the CVI was 0.98 for content, 1.0 for usability and 0.85 for functional performance, showing that the developed application has high validity. Conclusion: it is believed that the IST Nurse® application represents an important technological tool in strengthening evidence-based nursing care. Intervention studies are therefore suggested.

Introdução: A promoção da saúde no ambiente universitário enfrenta algumas complexidades devido às demandas acadêmicas e, consequentemente, à negligência do bem-estar coletivo, no entanto, a extensão universitária surge como uma estratégia promissora, buscando estabelecer uma relação simbiótica entre Ensino, Pesquisa e Extensão. Objetivo: Promover uma reflexão sobre os efeitos da pandemia dentro do comportamento extensionista de uma Universidade pública, observando um comparativo do período anterior à pandemia e posterior ao consequente isolamento. Métodos: Estudo de caso documental com análise qualitativa descritiva. Os dados foram coletados abril de 2023 e correspondem aos períodos de 2019 e 2022. Utilizou-se como base teórica desta análise, os preceitos e âmbitos de atuação das Universidades Promotoras da Saúde. Resultados: A coleta de dados resultou em uma amostra final de 812 e 1039 projetos respectivamente aos anos analisados. A amostra final resultou em 16 e 13 projetos respectivamente. Observou-se que todos os projetos estão relacionados ao âmbito de atuação intitulado “Promover o bem-estar dos funcionários, desenvolvendo e aplicando conhecimentos na missão científica e tecnológica”. Conclusão: Ao comparar os períodos estudados, os efeitos da pandemia foram capazes de estimular o comportamento extensionista, evidenciado por aumento consubstancial dos projetos, em especial, aqueles voltados para a promoção da saúde e do bem-estar no âmbito universitário.

Objective: to cross-culturally adapt the Capabilities of Nurse Educators questionnaire to Portuguese. Methods: this methodological study followed the steps of translation and content validation by experts, conducted according to the guidelines of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research. During the content validation phase, the questionnaire was administered to 10 expert nurses, and the Content Validity Index was used, which is considered adequate when greater than or equal to 90%. The Content Validity Ratio was also calculated, with values greater than or equal to 0.80 being considered acceptable. Additionally, the agreement among experts was measured using the first-order agreement coefficient. Results: the content validation process resulted in a content validity index above 90%, a content validity ratio above 0.80, and an agreement rate greater than 0.90. Conclusion: the instrument demonstrated adequate evidence in the content validation process (semantic, idiomatic, and conceptual), proving to be suitable for assessing the competencies of nurse educators in the Brazilian context. Contributions to practice: the instrument is able to identify strengths and skills that need to be developed in the practice of nurse educators in academic or healthcare settings.

Abstract Objective: to map the scientific literature on the validity of instruments for evaluating the quality of services provided in primary health care for chronic diseases related to systemic arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus, leprosy and tuberculosis. Method: scoping review, following the Joanna Briggs Institute method and described in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Extension for Scoping Reviews. 13 databases and gray literature were included. The selection of studies was carried out after removing duplicates and individual and paired evaluation. The data was extracted based on an elaborate script and presented in tables and charts. Results: the analysis of 28 selected studies showed that the majority were from Brazil, followed by China and Malaysia. Almost half of the validated instruments were generic, and the specific ones covered the evaluation of diabetes mellitus and leprosy. The types of validation carried out were content and construct. Conclusion: there is a need to construct specific instruments due to the scarcity of studies on the process of validating instruments for evaluating the quality of services provided by primary health care for chronic diseases.

ABSTRACT Objective: To analyze the scientific evidence on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on suicidal behavior in adults. Method: Systematic review, conducted from June to October 2022, in the following databases: MEDLINE/PubMed, Virtual Health Library, Excerpta Medica database, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature, PsycINFO, Web of Science, Scopus, Science Direct and Google Scholar. The selection, data extraction and assessment of methodological quality were carried out using the Methodological Index for Non-randomized Studies tool. Considering that most of the studies evaluated had significant methodological differences, it was decided to carry out a qualitative synthesis of the data. Results: A total of 2112 articles were found, from which eight articles were selected that analyzed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on suicidal behavior in adults. Conclusion: The COVID-19 pandemic has influenced the suicidal behavior in adults worldwide, especially when related to race, gender, age, religion, socioeconomic, family and legal issues, and pre-existing mental disorders, leading to a greater propensity for suicidal act.

Objetivo: validar intervenções de enfermagem para pessoas com doença renal crônica em tratamento hemodialítico, a partir de um cluster de diagnósticos/resultados de enfermagem e com base na Teoria das Transições. Métodos: estudo metodológico de validação de conteúdo de intervenções de enfermagem por especialistas, no qual foram avaliadas a pertinência e relevância das mesmas por meio de uma escala tipo Likert. Foi calculado o Índice de Validade de Conteúdo (IVC), considerando aceitável IVC ≥ 0,80. Resultados: foram identificadas 125 intervenções de enfermagem, com base em dois sistemas de Linguagem Padronizada da Enfermagem. Na primeira rodada de validação, 104 enunciados alcançaram IVC ≥ 0,80; cinco foram eliminados (IVC < 0,70) e 16 atingiram IVC ≥ 0,70 e < 0,80, os quais foram enviados para a segunda rodada. Destes, 10 alcançaram IVC ≥ 0,80, dos quais dois foram desmembrados, e seis foram eliminadas (IVC < 0,70). Conclusão: foram validadas 116 intervenções de enfermagem para o atendimento a pessoas com doença renal crônica em tratamento hemodialítico, as quais representam uma base para a prática clínica baseada em evidência.

Objetivo: buscar evidências sobre os fatores de riscos modificáveis que estão relacionados ao desenvolvimento da osteoartrite de joelho e quadril, entre as pessoas idosas. Método: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa norteada pelo PRISMA, nas bases de dados Lilacs, Scopus, Medline, SciELO e Web of Science. Utilizou-se os descritores: Idoso; Envelhecimento; Osteoartrite; Quadril; Joelho; Fatores de Risco. Resultados: identificou-se sete artigos com destaque para soberania dos fatores de risco relacionados ao sobrepeso e/ou obesidade para o desenvolvimento da osteoartrite de joelho e quadril, entre as pessoas idosas. Conclusão: os resultados demonstraram a necessidade do controle do peso para prevenção da osteoartrite entre as pessoas idosas e do desenvolvimento de mais estudos sobre a temática.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to investigate the factors influencing vaccine hesitancy against COVID-19 among Brazilians. Methods: this research employed an observational and analytical approach, utilizing a web-based survey. Data collection took place in 2020, and data analysis was conducted using structural equation modeling. Results: the prevalence of vaccine hesitancy was found to be 27.5% (1182 individuals). There is a negative correlation between belief in conspiracy theories and social influence. Among the various beliefs associated with vaccination intentions, only conspiracy beliefs exhibited significant predictive value. Thus, the findings suggest that personal beliefs significantly impact hesitancy towards vaccination, and also indicate that trust in governmental bodies is inversely related to hesitancy. Conclusions: vaccine hesitancy emerges as a multifaceted phenomenon influenced by a complex array of factors, including personal beliefs, trust in governmental bodies, and healthcare systems.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to assess patient safety culture during the COVID-19 pandemic and identify the dimensions that need to be improved in hospital settings and which sector, open or closed, direct or indirect care, exhibits a higher level of safety culture. Methods: a descriptive and cross-sectional study. The validated version for Brazil of the Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture instrument was applied to assess patient safety culture. Those dimensions with 75% positive responses were considered strengthened. Results: all dimensions presented results lower than 75% of positive responses. Closed sectors showed a stronger safety culture compared to open ones. Indirect care sectors had a low general perception of patient safety when compared to direct care sectors. Conclusions: with the pandemic, points of weakness became even more evident, requiring attention and incisive interventions from the institution’s leaders.

Durante o período de hospitalização na Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Neonatal os recém-nascidos são submetidos diariamente a diversas intervenções, que podem ser dolorosas, aumentando o estresse dos neonatos. Para o manejo da dor neonatal existem diversas práticas que atenuam esse desconforto. Diante disso, o presente estudo teve como objetivo conhecer os impactos dos métodos não farmacológicos para o alívio da dor neonatal na Unidade de Terapia Intensiva. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo com abordagem qualitativa. O cenário de estudo foi a Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Neonatal de um Hospital Universitário, onde foram realizadas entrevistas com perguntas semi-estruturadas, tendo como amostra 15 profissionais da equipe de Enfermagem que atuam na assistência direta aos recém-nascidos. Os profissionais se baseiam em indicadores fisiológicos e comportamentais para percepção da dor neonatal. A partir disso diversos métodos não farmacológicos são utilizados, porém a glicose a 25% e a sucção não nutritiva estão presentes em maior frequência. O manejo da dor possui impacto a curto e longo prazo, contribuindo para a diminuição do tempo de internação do neonato e reduzindo os efeitos negativos da dor sobre o cérebro prematuro.
