Institutional discovery environments now serve as central resource databases for researchers in the academic environment. Over the last several decades, there have been numerous discovery layer research inquiries centering primarily on user satisfaction measures of discovery system effectiveness. This study focuses on the creation of a largely automated method for evaluating discovery layer quality, utilizing the bibliographic sources from student research projects. Building on past research, the current study replaces a semiautomated Excel Fuzzy Lookup Add-In process with a fully scripted R-based approach, which employs the stringdist R package and applies the Jaro-Winkler distance metric as the matching evaluator. The researchers consider the error rate incurred by relying solely on an automated matching metric. They also use Open Refine for normalization processes and package the tools together on an OSF site for other institutions to use. Since the R-based approach does not require special processing or time and can be reproduced with minimal effort, it will allow future studies and users of our method to capture larger sample sizes, boosting validity. While the assessment process has been streamlined and shows promise, there remain issues in establishing solid connections between research paper bibliographies and discovery layer use. Subsequent research will focus on creating alternatives to paper titles as search proxies that better resemble genuine information-seeking behavior and comparing undergraduate and graduate student interactions within discovery environments. Background: Many Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) Pharmacy residencies provide research training however, details of this training are not well described. Publication rates have been utilized to assess residency research learning experiences. Higher publication rates have been reported by programs that have implemented a structured research learning experience. Objective: The primary objective was to identify differences in the research learning experiences for American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited PGY1 Pharmacy residencies with reported resident publication rates of ≥20% vs <20%. Methods: This survey was distributed to PGY1 Pharmacy residency program directors (RPDs). Seven sections were analyzed to identify research learning experience differences between programs with reported publication rates of ≥20% vs <20%: (1) program characteristics/research outcomes; (2) involved individuals; (3) requirements; (4) learning experience structure; (5) educational methods; (6) formal education; (7) barriers/RPD perceptions. Variables with P < 0.05 on logistic regression were considered statistically significant. Results: The survey response rate was 31.3% (308/984). Significant positive predictors for reported publication rates of ≥20% were: involved individuals: research director/coordinator, individuals trained in statistics, non-pharmacy medical staff; requirements: Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative training, research seminars/training courses, research manuscript; learning experience structure: research committee; educational methods: didactic residency-led lectures/courses, formal workshops, self-taught online modules; and formal education: manuscript preparation. Conclusion: This study suggests there are differences in the research learning experiences at PGY1 Pharmacy residencies with reported resident publications rates of ≥20% vs <20%. Background: The Intensive Comprehensive Aphasia Program (ICAP) is a rehabilitation service delivery model initially articulated in a seminal article featured in the 2013 Special Issue of Topics in Stroke Rehabilitation. Over the past decade, the ICAP model has experienced a notable surge in prominence, leading to a burgeoning research base and worldwide implementation in clinical practice. Aim: This special issue serves as a comprehensive exploration of how the theoretical underpinnings of the ICAP components manifest in contemporary practice by presenting recent outcomes from active clinical ICAPs. The primary objective of this introduction is to establish a contextual framework for the articles comprising this special issue. Main Contribution: The introduction delineates the fundamental components of the ICAP model, offering succinct summaries of the relevant literature that catalyzed the conceptualization of these components by Rose and colleagues. Conclusions: This introduction along with the collective works within this issue, positions the ICAP model within the broader aphasia rehabilitation continuum of care. Furthermore, it serves as a pivotal starting point for shaping the ICAP research agenda for the next decade. Specific expansions to the evidence are imperative, including single-site and multi-site randomized controlled trials featuring consistent outcome measures that include discourse measures and follow-up data points, investigations into cost-effectiveness and sustainability, and systematic examinations of the active ingredients of therapeutic elements within the model. Rigor and quality in a qualitative research project go hand in hand with writing a rigorous, informative qualitative journal manuscript. Given today's pressure on researchers to get published, their papers are often rejected or must undergo major revision because of poor information or structure, lack of formatting to a journal's requirements and misunderstandings about what constitutes rigor and quality in a qualitative paper. In the author's long experience as an editor and reviewer, some problems in writing qualitative manuscripts are common, no matter what part of the world the author(s) come from. This brief paper is aimed at qualitative researchers who are novices at getting their research reports published in journals. Using a personal narrative style, the author highlights common issues in the writing process across various sections of manuscripts connected to a qualitative study's design, conduct, and reporting. Background: Developmental dysplasia of the hip is a common musculoskeletal disorder in newborns and young children, attracting considerable controversy. The purpose of the present study was to analyze the research trends and hotspots over the past three decades in this field. Methods: All related publications were collected from the Web of Science Core Collection from 1994 to 2023. Of these, characteristics of the top 50 cited articles for each decade (1994–2003, 2004–2013 and 2014–2023) were evaluated in detail. Visualized studies were operated via VOSviewer. GraphPad Prism and Microsoft Excel were used to perform statistical analysis. The characteristic of the present study is a cross-sectional study. Results: In total, 1,300 publications with 19,815 citations from 1994 to 2023 were selected. The number of publications increased significantly during the past three decades, from 23 in 1994 to 132 in 2023 (P < 0.0001). Studies with collaboration among institutions have raised significantly over time (P < 0.0001). The United States was the leading country to the top 50 publications in each decade. Publications with evidence level IV led the way every ten years. Visualized co-occurrence analysis clustered the keywords into four clusters: hip arthroplasty, congenital dislocation, ultrasound diagnosis and developmental dysplasia of the hip. Conclusions: This study analyzed the global tendency and collaborations on developmental dysplasia of the hip over the past three decades. Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disorder marked by cognitive decline and memory loss. Recent research underscores the crucial role of astrocytes in AD. This study reviews research trends and contributions on astrocytes in AD from 2000 to 2024, shedding light on the evolving research landscape. Methods: We conducted a bibliometric analysis using data from the Web of Science Core Collection, covering publications from January 1, 2000, to July 6, 2024, on "Alzheimer's disease" and "astrocytes." We identified 5,252 relevant English articles and reviews. For data visualization and analysis, we used VOSviewer, CiteSpace, and the R package "bibliometrix," examining collaboration networks, co-citation networks, keyword co-occurrence, and thematic evolution. Results: Between 2000 and 2024, 5,252 publications were identified, including 4,125 original research articles and 1,127 review articles. Publications increased significantly after 2016. The United States had the most contributions (1,468), followed by China (836). Major institutions were the University of California system (517) and Harvard University (402). The Journal of Alzheimer's Disease published the most articles (215). Verkhratsky A was the top author with 51 papers and 1,585 co-citations. Conclusion: Our extensive bibliometric analysis indicates a significant increase in research on astrocytes in AD over the past 20 years. Background: Parkinson's disease psychosis (PDP) is one of the most severe and disabling non-motor symptoms in the progression of Parkinson's disease (PD), significantly impacting the prognosis of PD patients. In recent years, there has been an increase in literature on PDP. However, bibliometrics has rarely been applied to PDP research. This study provides an overview of the current state of PDP research and predicts future trends in this field. Methods: The literature search was conducted using the Web of Science Core Collection, with the search terms (Parkinson* AND (psychotic* OR hallucination* OR illusion* OR delusion* OR misperception* OR psychosis OR psychoses)). VOSviewer and CiteSpace software were employed to perform bibliometric analysis and visual representation of the search results. Results: A total of 603 articles were effectively included. Since 2017, there has been a significant upward trend in publications related to PDP. The United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada were the top three contributing countries in terms of publication volume, with France also having a strong influence in this field. Movement Disorders and King's College London included and published the most articles on PDP. The paper titled " Hallucinations in Parkinson's Disease: Prevalence, Phenomenology, and Risk Factors " received the highest number of citations and average citations. Cluster analysis results identified brain, prevalence, connectivity, and atypical antipsychotics as key hotspots in this field. High-frequency keywords were grouped into three themes: neurobiology, therapeutic strategies, and symptom research. Among them, pimavanserin, risk, and functional connectivity have been the most studied areas in the past 7 years and are likely to remain key topics in future research. The aim of this study was to analyze the research hotspots and mechanisms of luteolin in tumor-related fields using bibliometric and bioinformatic approaches to guide future research. We conducted a comprehensive screening of all articles on luteolin and tumors in Web of Science from 2008 to 2023. The extracted words from these publications were visualized using VOSviewer, Scimago Graphica, and CiteSpace. Public databases were used to collect luteolin and tumor-related targets. GO and KEGG analyses of luteolin antitumor-related genes were performed using Metascape. Protein interaction networks were built with Cytoscape and STRING, identifying hub targets of luteolin in antitumor activity. Subsequently, the binding capacity of luteolin to these hub targets was assessed using molecular docking technology. We found that China dominated this field, the Egyptian Knowledge Bank published the most articles, and Molecules had the highest number of related publications. Recently, network pharmacology, target, traditional Chinese medicine, and nanoparticles have become research hotspots in luteolin's antitumor research. A total of 483 overlapping genes between luteolin and tumors were identified, and they were closely associated with the cancer-associated pathways, PI3K-Akt, and MAPK signaling pathways. Luteolin forms a complex network of antitumor-related genes, with TP53, TNF, STAT3, AKT1, JUN, IL6, and SRC playing key roles and showing strong binding affinity to luteolin. Computer technology is becoming increasingly integral to the discipline, and future research will focus on more precise antitumor mechanisms and effective clinical applications. Objective: The growing interest in this field of fracture nonunion has been informally acknowledged through published studies. A bibliometric analysis was conducted to objectively outline the patterns in published clinical research concerning nonunion fractures by utilizing highly cited papers (HCPs). Methods: Through a predetermined search strategy, we gathered literature on the clinical management of nonunion fractures from the Scopus database and utilized bibliometrics to examine the publication dates, countries, institutions, journals, authors, HCPs, and research focal points. Statistical analysis and visualization were conducted using MS Excel and VOSviewer software. Results: From 1990 to 2023, a total of 168 HCPs in the field of fracture nonunion were identified. They received an average of 167.68 citations per paper (CPP). Among them, 4.08% received external funding, while 17.26% were involved in international collaboration. The United States (49.4% share) was the most productive country and France had the highest citation impact. P.V. Gianoudis had the highest productivity with 13 publications and P. Hernigou had the highest citation impact. The Mayo Clinic was the most productive organization and Hopital Henri Mondor achieved the highest citation impact. The most productive journal was Clinical Orthopedics & Related Research, and the Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery, American Volume had the highest average citation impact. Conclusion: This contemporary bibliometric study illustrates the research features and developments of nonunion fractures. Through the use of VOSviewer, key countries, organizations, and authors could be identified, providing researchers with essential information to pinpoint current and future areas of interest in fracture nonunion. The adoption of open science practices (OSPs) is crucial for promoting transparency and robustness in research. We conducted a systematic review to assess the frequency and trends of OSPs in psychometric studies focusing on measures of suicidal thoughts and behavior. We analyzed publications from two international databases, examining the use of OSPs such as open access publication, preregistration, provision of open materials, and data sharing. Our findings indicate a lack of adherence to OSPs in psychometric studies of suicide. The majority of manuscripts were published under restricted access, and preregistrations were not utilized. The provision of open materials and data was rare, with limited access to instruments and analysis scripts. Open access versions (preprints/postprints) were scarce. The low adoption of OSPs in psychometric studies of suicide calls for urgent action. The world's population is aging and, as populations age, they exhibit an increased prevalence of chronic diseases, which can reduce the independence of elderly individuals. The set of initiatives known as aging in place, a common policy response to the aging population, is preferred by both the elderly population and policymakers. Aging in place is a broad and multifaceted topic that involves multiple stakeholders and academic disciplines. A science map of the literature on aging in place can help researchers pinpoint their efforts and help policymakers make informed decisions. Thus, this study maps the scientific landscape of the aging-in-place literature. This review used bibliometric analysis to examine 3240 publications on aging in place indexed in the Web of Science. Using VOSviewer 1.6.20, it conducted various analyses, including a citation analysis and an analysis of the co-occurrence of author-provided keywords. The study identified key research areas, leading countries, institutions, and journals, central publications, and the temporal evolution of themes in the literature. Based on its keyword co-occurrence analysis, the study identified five major research-area clusters: (1) aging-in-place facilitators, (2) age-friendly communities, (3) housing, (4) assistive technologies, and (5) mental health. This study improves the understanding of the various interdisciplinary factors that have influenced the research on aging in place. By making this research more accessible, the study can help researchers and policymakers navigate the extensive information on aging in place and complex relationships more effectively. This bibliometric analysis endeavors to bridge a gap in existing research on social support for the older adults, focusing on the theme of ageing. The primary objective is to provide a comprehensive overview of scholarly advancement of previous research papers in this domain, employing a bibliometric approach. A dataset inclusive of publications up to February 2024 from Scopus database has been compiled, capturing pertinent information on older adults' social support. Employing both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, the study offers a historical panorama of research trends. Through bibliometric techniques, significant articles, authors, journals, organizations, and countries contributing to this field are identified. The analysis unveils the current research status, elucidating key contributors, influential publications, and emerging thematic trajectories within ageing studies. Citation patterns and literature examination aid in identifying influential factors shaping the scholarly landscape. This research significantly enhances understanding of formal and informal social support for the older adults, filling existing research lacunae while spotlighting key contributors and burgeoning areas of interest. The findings of relevant studies based on PRISMA screening, a total of 152 research papers were screened. Seventeen papers were excluded because they did not specifically address social support for older adults. Three review papers and four others were removed due to being out of scope. Finally, 128 documents were retained for bibliometric analysis. The publication trend stands at 3.73%, indicating a significant increase in scholarly interest in social support for older adults. Cardiovascular research frequently involves comparing patient-reported outcomes across groups. These groups can include individuals from different countries or those have different cardiovascular conditions, and it is frequently assumed that their understanding of the assessed outcome is similar. However, to ascertain that this is indeed the case, measurement invariance needs to be evaluated. This psychometric property helps us understand whether a test measures the same underlying construct in the same way across different groups. In the absence of measurement invariance, conclusions regarding group comparisons of the construct at hand may be inappropriate. Objective To evaluate the reliability of three artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots (ChatGPT, Google Bard, and Chatsonic) in generating accurate references from existing obstetric literature. Study Design Between mid-March and late April 2023, ChatGPT, Google Bard, and Chatsonic were prompted to provide references for specific obstetrical randomized controlled trials (RCTs) published in 2020. RCTs were considered for inclusion if they were mentioned in a previous article that primarily evaluated RCTs published by the top medical and obstetrics and gynecology journals with the highest impact factors in 2020 as well as RCTs published in a new journal focused on publishing obstetric RCTs. The selection of the three AI models was based on their popularity, performance in natural language processing, and public availability. Data collection involved prompting the AI chatbots to provide references according to a standardized protocol. The primary evaluation metric was the accuracy of each AI model in correctly citing references, including authors, publication title, journal name, and digital object identifier (DOI). Statistical analysis was performed using a permutation test to compare the performance of the AI models. Results Among the 44 RCTs analyzed, Google Bard demonstrated the highest accuracy, correctly citing 13.6% of the requested RCTs, whereas ChatGPT and Chatsonic exhibited lower accuracy rates of 2.4 and 0%, respectively. Google Bard often substantially outperformed Chatsonic and ChatGPT in correctly citing the studied reference components. The majority of references from all AI models studied were noted to provide DOIs for unrelated studies or DOIs that do not exist. Conclusion To ensure the reliability of scientific information being disseminated, authors must exercise caution when utilizing AI for scientific writing and literature search. However, despite their limitations, collaborative partnerships between AI systems and researchers have the potential to drive synergistic advancements, leading to improved patient care and outcomes. Background: Active Support is a staff practice that aims to increase engagement of people with intellectual disabilities. This study seeks to: (1) identify the outcomes of staff using Active Support and how these are measured; (2) identify how the views of people with intellectual disabilities have been included in Active Support research. Method: A scoping review was conducted of peer‐reviewed articles about Active Support published between 2009 and 2023. Results: Sixteen articles were identified. Outcomes included engagement, the quality of staff support, choice and challenging behaviour. Structured observations were the most frequently used measurement method. Only two studies explored people with intellectual disabilities' perspectives about Active Support. Conclusions: Consistent use of similar measures is a strength of Active Support research. Including perspectives of people with intellectual disabilities may provide insight into dimensions of support not been measured and assist in further developing these measures and Active Support practice. Objective: This study provides a comprehensive overview of the knowledge structure and research hotspots regarding barriers and strategies for the implementation of clinical practice guidelines. Methods: Publications on barriers and strategies for guideline implementation were searched for on Web of Science Core Collection from database inception to October 24, 2022. R package bibliometrix, VOSviewer, and CiteSpace were used to conduct the analysis. Results: The search yielded 21,768 records from 3,975 journals by 99,998 authors from 3,964 institutions in 186 countries between 1983 and 2022. The number of published papers had a roughly increasing trend annually. The United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada contributed the majority of records. The University of Toronto, the University of Washington, and the University of Sydney were the biggest node in their cluster on the collaboration network map. The three journals that published the greatest number of relevant studies were Implementation Science, BMJ Open, and BMC Health Services Research. Grimshaw JM was the author with the most published articles, and was the second most co-cited author. Research hotspots in this field focused on public health and education, evidence-based medicine and quality promotion, diagnosis and treatment, and knowledge translation and barriers. Challenges and barriers, as well as societal impacts and inequalities, are likely to be key directions for future research. Conclusions: This is the first bibliometric study to comprehensively summarize the research trends of research on barriers and strategies for clinical practice guideline implementation. Introduction: Clinical trials are crucial for advancing medical knowledge and improving healthcare outcomes. Despite an increase in research publications in Saudi Arabia, clinical trial productivity has lagged behind. Understanding the barriers to conducting clinical trials in Saudi Arabia is essential. This study aims to explore the challenges and propose solutions for improving clinical trial capacity in the Kingdom. Specifically, we aim to develop national strategies to enhance clinical trial infrastructure, identify educational needs, and suggest ways to strengthen research education and training in Saudi Arabia. Methods: The study utilized a qualitative research design with a grounded theory approach. Participants were recruited through purposive sampling, including clinical trial professionals from Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al Khobar, who participated in three half-day workshops. Discussions focused on required skillsets, barriers to conducting trials, improvement recommendations, gaps in research education, and strategies for the Saudi National Institute of Health (SNIH) to support clinical trials. Data were collected through pre-workshop surveys and focus group discussions, and thematic analysis was employed to identify common themes. Results: A total of 35 participants, mainly from the government sector (67%), attended the workshops. Physicians represented the largest professional group (31%), with the majority being Saudi nationals (83%) and engaged in clinical practice (65%). The study identified key challenges, including limited resources (82%), inadequate infrastructure (82%), time constraints (80%), and insufficient funding (80%). While satisfaction with educational programs was mixed, a need for improved infrastructure and support for clinical trials in Saudi Arabia was evident. The focus group discussions further highlighted the importance of research competency, identifying 11 essential domains such as research methodology, data management, and project leadership. Nine major challenges were noted, including funding, infrastructure, and collaboration deficits. A total of 38 recommendations were proposed to address these challenges and enhance the national clinical trial ecosystem. Conclusions: This study underscores the importance of addressing the challenges in conducting clinical trials in Saudi Arabia through targeted educational programs, training initiatives, and enhanced support from the SNIH. By implementing strategies that focus on funding, resources, training, and collaboration, Saudi Arabia can significantly advance its clinical trial landscape, improve research quality and efficiency, and position itself as a leader in global health research. Assessing the quality of journals in the realm of health care science and services is an intricate and vital pursuit, especially given the swift evolution of health care research amidst global challenges and technological progress. Bibliometric indicators have emerged as indispensable instruments for quantifying and comparing the impact, reach, and significance of scholarly contributions. In this study, a range of bibliometric indicators, including Impact Factor, Eigenfactor Score, Cite Score, and h-index, were utilized. We curated a list of 105 health care science and services journals using data from the Journal Citation Report (JCR) within the Web of Science (WOS), journal metrics from the Scopus database (Cite Score and SNIP), and h5-index from Google Scholar. Additionally, the SCImago Journal Ranking (SJR) was obtained from its official website. Subsequently, Bivariate Pearson's (r) and Spearman's (ρ) correlation coefficient tests were conducted to evaluate ranking correlations. The findings revealed strong Pearson's (r) statistical correlations between JIF and CS (r = 0.908) and between JIF and SJR (r = 0.875), while moderate correlations were observed between JIF and H5-median, H5-index, and SNIP (r = 0.769, r = 0.730, and r = 0.645, respectively). Spearman's rho analysis indicated high correlations between JIF and CS (ρ = 0.907) and between JIF and SJR (ρ = 0.863), with lower correlations among H5-median, SNIP, and H5-index indicators (ρ = 0.798, ρ = 0.763, and ρ = 0.750, respectively). Objective: To consider the approaches within Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) databases for limiting geographically. To compare the limits to an adaptation of NICE's UK MEDLINE filter for use on WoSCC databases. Methods: We tested and appraised the inbuilt functions and search field options that support identification by countries/regions and affiliations. We compared these with an adapted filter to identify healthcare research on or about the UK. We calculated the recall of the inbuilt limits and filter using 177 studies and investigated why records were missed. We also calculated the percentage reduction of the overall number-needed-to-screen (ONNS). Results: Inbuilt limits within WoSCC enable identification of research from specific countries/regions or affiliations if there is data in the address field. Refining by affiliations allows retrieval of research where affiliations are in the 200 or 500 most frequent for a set of results. An adaptation of the UK MEDLINE filter achieved an average of 97% recall. ONNS was significantly reduced using the filter. However, studies where the countries or regions are only mentioned within the full text or other non-searchable fields will be missed. Conclusion: Information specialists should consider how inbuilt geographic limits operate on WoSCC and whether these are suitable for their research. The adapted filter can sensitively limit to the UK and could be useful for systematic reviews due to its high recall and ability to significantly reduce ONNS. Background: Parkinson's disease (PD) is a globally prevalent neurodegenerative disorder, primarily characterized by muscle rigidity, resting tremor, and bradykinesia. The incidence of PD is rapidly escalating worldwide. Numerous studies have been conducted on the application of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in investigating the substantia nigra (SN) in PD patients. However, to date, no bibliometric analysis has been performed on this specific research area. Therefore, this study aimed to provide a comprehensive analysis of the current status in MRI research on the SN in PD patients. Materials and methods: MRI study records related to the SN in PD patients from 2001 to 2024 were searched by using the Web of Science Core Collection (WOSCC) database and then the CiteSpace and VOSviewer were used to conduct bibliometric analysis. Results: Our analysis found that the number of published articles related studies on MRI of the SN in PD showed an overall upward trend over the past decade, in which Lehericy, Stephane, Du, Guangwei, and Huang, Xuemei are the top three authors with the most articles. Additionally, United States, China and Germany are the main contributors to MRI studies of SN in PD. And Shanghai Jiao Tong University, University of Florida and Seoul National University are the leading institutions in the field. Finally, the keyword analysis showed that the hotspots and trends of research in this field are mainly concentrated in quantitative susceptibility mapping, neuroimaging, and neuromelanin-sensitive MRI. Conclusion: These analysis identified the most influential authors, institutions, countries and research hotspots in the field of SN-MRI research in PD, which has reference significance for the research interest in this field and provides a new idea for PD prevention. Background: Ferroptosis is a crucial pathogenic mechanism in Parkinson's disease, offering significant potential for pharmacological intervention. Despite its importance, the number of bibliometric analyses examining the relationship between ferroptosis and Parkinson's disease remains limited. This study aims to elucidate the knowledge structure and primary research focuses within this field using various bibliometric tools search. Materials and methods: We conducted a comprehensive literature son ferroptosis in Parkinson's disease using the Web of Science Core Collection database. Bibliometric analyses and visualizations were performed with VOSviewer, examining the geographical and institutional distribution of publications, journal interconnections, and keyword prevalence. Furthermore, CiteSpace was used to visually explore and analyze journal interactions and citation dynamics. The bibliometrix R package facilitated the delineation of collaborative networks across different countries and the construction of visual network representations illustrating relationships among authors, keywords, and journals. Data visualization was further enhanced with Microsoft Office Excel 2021. Results: Recently, there has been a significant increase in publications on ferroptosis, with China emerging as a leading contributor in this research area. Keyword analysis highlights the critical role of ferroptosis in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease, identifying GPX4 as a key enzyme mitigating lipid peroxidation. This study also elucidates the connections and distinctions between ferroptosis and other cell death processes such as apoptosis, autophagy, and pyroptosis. Current research primarily focuses on immunotherapy, prognosis, oxidative stress, lipid peroxidation, and the tumor microenvironment. Conclusion: This study provides a comprehensive initial analysis of the research landscape, identifying current focal points and potential future directions for ferroptosis research in Parkinson's disease. OBJECTIVE: The pandemic created by coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has led researchers to study to deal with this infection. The number of studies about it being performed and published is increasing over time. Due to the dramatic growth of COVID-19 scientific publications, we conducted a bibliometric and visualized study to better understand the progress, collaborations, and trend topics of COVID-19 publications in Türkiye. MATERIAL AND METHODS: The scientific literature on COVID-19 research in Türkiye from 2020 to 2022 was extracted from the Scopus database and analyzed using bibliometric and scientometric techniques. RESULTS: A total of 426.662 COVID-19-related publications were published worldwide in the 3-year period and Türkiye ranked 12th according to both publication (8.394) and case numbers (17.004.677). The most cooperations of Türkiye were with the USA, the UK, and Italy. The 5 most used keywords were determined as "COVID-19," "SARS-CoV-2," "Pandemics," "Coronavirus," and "Anxiety" respectively. It was determined by the keyword analysis that the most focused topics were related to the "COVID-19 clinic." CONCLUSION: Türkiye did not lag behind in the number of studies on her geography, and it was seen to be in the leading position compared to the Middle East countries. Purpose: Inspired by a preliminary survey of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) literature conducted by Friberg et al. (2014), the current study aimed to expand the original study's findings--that SoTL was rarely published in the communication sciences and disorders (CSD) literature from 2009 to 2013--to the subsequent 8-year period (2014--2021). The latter period was of particular relevance considering the dissolution of one American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)--affiliated publication and the addition of another non--ASHA-affiliated publication during that time. Method: Ten peer-reviewed CSD journals and the articles published in them were identified via a survey of the literature that used narrowly defined criteria developed in collaboration with a librarian. Five trained CSD graduate student raters compared a definition of SoTL to article abstracts to determine whether each should have been categorized as SoTL. Part 1 of the study investigated an 8-year time span, Part 2 investigated the remaining nine journals in the subsequent 5 years, and Part 3 investigated publication rates of SoTL in Teaching and Learning in Communication Sciences & Disorders (TLCSD) alone. Results: Part 1 of the study revealed that publication rates of SoTL were extremely low in the 10 surveyed CSD journals in the 8-year time span investigated. A similar and diminishing trend was found in Part 2. Even smaller percentages of journals were dedicated to SoTL. Part 3 confirmed that relatively large amounts of CSD-specific SoTL have been published in TLCSD since its inception in 2017. Conclusions: As of 2021, SoTL articles continued to be uncommonly published in CSD journals. Until recently, scholarly teachers attempting to apply SoTL in the classroom had limited resources. Beginning in 2017, TLCSD has provided an outlet for SoTL, whereas other CSD journals seem to have published less of it. Background: Research and clinical studies on multiligamentous knee injuries (MLKI) have recently gained interest with several clinical studies reported recently. This study aims to identify, visualize, and characterize the MLKI research, to analyze the knowledge structure of MLKI during 2008–2023 and to identify the emerging research trends from a bibliometric perspective. Methods: All articles reporting MLKI from 2008 to 2023 were curated from the Scopus database, on 1st January 2024. VOS viewer and Microsoft Excel were used to analyze the publications including the participating countries, authors, organizations, journals and research focus. These data were used to generate visual knowledge maps of the outputs. Results: 406 papers on MLKI were published in 115 journals by 483 authors. There has been a slow publication growth in the past 16 years. The United States had more than 50% share in global publications. Knee Surgery Sports Traumatology Arthroscopy, Orthopaedic Journal of Sports Medicine and American Journal of Sports Medicine published the most papers. The three USA institutions, namely Mayo Clinic, Hospital for Special Surgery-New York and Twin Cities Orthopedics contributed the largest number of publications. B.A. Levy (Mayo Clinic, USA) (n = 66) and M.J. Stuart (Mayo Clinic, USA) (n = 63) have registered the highest collaborative links with other authors. Conclusions: This study is the first comprehensive bibliometric study to analyze MLKI. The findings shed light on the growth trajectory of publications, the extent of international collaborations, the influence of highly cited articles, and the key countries, institutions, journals, and authors contributing to the field. Rationale: This study presents the first comprehensive analysis and mapping of scientific research on point‐of‐care testing (POCT) in infectious diseases, filling a gap in understanding the evolving landscape of this field. The identification of research themes and global contributions offers valuable insights. Aims and Objectives: This manuscript aims to analyse and map scientific research on POCT in the context of infectious diseases. Methods: The study employed a comprehensive search strategy using terms related to POCT and infectious diseases. The search was conducted on the Scopus database, refining results based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The dataset of 1719 research articles was then subjected to descriptive analysis and mapping using VOSviewer. Results: The research findings indicate an exponential growth in POCT‐related publications, with 46.8% published post the COVID‐19 pandemic. Plos One journal led in publication frequency, and Biosensors and Bioelectronics received the highest citations per article. North America and Western Europe dominated contributions, with notable participation from China, South Africa, and India. The research landscape revealed the following research themes: detection technologies, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)/sexually transmitted infection (STI) diagnosis, antibiotic optimisation, and schistosomiasis. Clinical trials focused on antibiotic prescribing, HIV, STIs, and specific infections. The findings suggest a shifting landscape towards POCT, emphasising the need for future planning and investment in healthcare systems. The research identifies areas for future exploration, such as the impact of POCT on antibiotic prescribing and its role in combating infectious diseases in low‐ and middle‐income countries. Conclusion: Implementation of POCT has the potential to revolutionise infectious disease management, improve patient outcomes, and reduce the global burden of diseases. Better public awareness, healthcare team management, and planning for POCT at entry points are crucial for societal benefit. Background & Aims: Diabetes and related metabolic syndromes represent a significant global health challenge, with the global burden of diabetes increasing considerably since 1990. In this article, we examined the trend of publications in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism between 1996 and 2021, focusing on Asian countries. Methods: We obtained and used the data from the Scopus database from the SCImago website (https://www.scimagojr.com/), on 1 April 2023, related to the subspecialty of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism for country rankings between 1996 and 2021. We did not include any data related to other medical specialties or other fields. Results: There has been a steady rise in global publications on these subspecialties over the past decade, with the number of publications from Asian countries increasing significantly. Western Europe recorded the highest number of publications, followed by North America and Asia. The COVID-19 pandemic also contributed to a surge in publications in this field. In Asian countries, China and India have notably increased their global contribution to publications, with China emerging as the top Asian nation in 2021. Conclusion: Our findings provide valuable insights into the research output from various countries and the productivity trends in Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism-related research. In the current introductory article, we discuss the importance of balancing the variable-centered research in the perfectionism field with a person-focused approach. We examine the utility of a person-centered approach in assessment, research, and theory and the need to revisit overlooked themes central to understanding people who are extreme perfectionists. Our analysis focuses on addressing the core unaddressed issue of why perfectionists as unique individuals absolutely need to be perfect. We describe measures to assess individual differences in this need to be perfect and themes reflecting the need to be perfect that require investigation. The papers in this third special issue on perfectionism are then introduced and considered as examples of the merits of a broad approach that goes beyond trait perfectionism to also include perfectionistic self-presentation and the cognitive experience of perfectionism. We conclude by examining how certain variable-centered studies described in the current special issue yield insights about perfectionists as people when individuals are considered from a person-focused perspective. Background: The field of pancreas transplantation has undergone transformative phases, progressing from its promising inception in 1966 to becoming a standard treatment for patients with insulin-dependent diabetes. This bibliometric analysis explores the progression of pancreas transplantation research over a period of four decades, mapping milestones, contributors, and emerging trends. Methods: Our bibliometric analysis utilizes the comprehensive Scopus database, which includes publication titles, author information, affiliations, abstracts, keywords, and journal details. The search strategy was centered on research related to pancreas and pancreas-kidney transplantation. The analysis encompasses the time frame spanning from 1983 to 2023, with the data extraction taking place on October 7th, 2023. Results: The analysis of 4,897 articles uncovered unique trends in the field of pancreas transplantation research. The years 1989, 1996, and 2021 saw significant increases in the number of publications, which corresponded to the responses to clinical challenges and advancements. Contributions by authors from the United States of America were the most numerous, with 1,905 publications and 49,949 citations. The research topics were highlighted by keywords such as "graft survival," "graft rejection," and" Immunosuppressive treatment." Conclusion: The fluctuations in publication trends that have been identified indicate dynamic reactions to changing priorities and challenges. Although it has limitations, this analysis provides valuable insights for researchers, clinicians, and policymakers who are dealing with the complex field of pancreas transplantation literature. BACKGROUND: Proximal humeral fractures (PHFs) are common fractures in older adults and their prevalence is on the rise. Recovery following this fracture can be complex and disabling. Treatment varies from non-surgical management such as immobilisation to surgical procedures, with choice dependent on type and severity of fracture and patient health. OBJECTIVE: Several systematic reviews have considered the evidence for non-surgical versus surgical management of PHF in older adults. This commentary considers these findings for clinical practice and further research. METHODS: Three systematic reviews exploring non-surgical versus surgical management were selected based on the quality of their included evidence, and individually critically appraised. Findings from the reviews were reported for each outcome, and the implications considered for clinical practice and future research. RESULTS: Findings from the three reviews suggest that surgical management of PHF in older adults does not result in better functional outcomes or quality of life and non-surgical management should achieve acceptable upper limb function while decreasing the risks of surgery. More complex three-part fractures may also be managed non-surgically with fair to good functional results relative to fracture severity. CONCLUSION: The findings align with current guidance to offer non-surgical management to uncomplicated cases of PHF in adults and older adults. More complex three-part PHFs may also be managed well non-surgically. There is however a lack of evidence and guidance on the specifics of rehabilitation for this type of management and further research is needed to evaluate the factors that contribute to the effectiveness of non-surgical interventions. This issue of the International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis provides a systematic review of hypnotherapy for smoking cessation as well as a systematic review of hypnosis apps. These reviews are followed by articles that examine hypnotherapy for sleep disturbances in patients with multiple sclerosis, and provide results from a randomized clinical trial of immersive virtual reality to reduce pain and anxiety in individuals undergoing orthopedic surgery. In addition, an important new study, with findings that suggest a "general factor" may best account for hypnotizability is presented.
