Introduction to the special issue of Eating Disorders: Identifying and closing the gaps in the prevention of disordered eating and eating disorders.

An introduction to articles in the issue is presented on topics including the creation and pilot evaluation of a dissonance-based intervention (DBI) designed to change variables that previously have not been the focus of DBI research and prevention programming, adaptation and implementation of the Body Project, and ecological perspective in designing policies and programs.
